I waited at the jewelry counter for over ten minutes while Maggie finished up with a customer. She then walked over to take care of another customer that was a neighbor of the other sales associate Lindsay. I did ask if there was another associate and Lindsay said she did not work the jewelry counter before she walked away. I pointed out to Maggie that I had been waiting while she had been with the other customer but now she had ignored me and gone to take care of Wendy, Lindsay's neighbor (Lindsay said out loud what was their relation). It became clear that I would not be taken care of and I thanked her and walked away. I have purchased jewelry here before but never again. I had to select outfits for an upcoming event, and was overwhelmed as I'm not a shopper. On my way into the store, I noticed a sign for MyStylist and set out in search of this service. My personal shopper, Danielle, was amazing. She listened to me, went all over the store in search of everything from shoes to bras to dresses to shorts to tops. She also looked for bargains, checking the clearance and sale racks in addition to new arrivals. Danielle made me look like a million bucks for a fraction of what I expected to spend. As always, Macy's offers a mixture of trendy and classic looks, so I have a few pieces that will last forever and others that are just fun. And, the looks were a total hit at my event. James in Men's Suits is my go-to for buying a suit and getting the proper fitment. He is a excellent multi-tasker, doesn't every get flustered and goes the extra step to make sure everyone in the department is greeted. he makes himself available for questions and never runs away from the customer contact area. He will approach you to take out the awkwardness of the first greeting. If the whole store had the same level of customer service it would thrive. 5 stars for James in men suits - unable to truly evaluate all departments and the entire store although my experience there has been pleasant every time. read more

Absolutely fabulous experience at the fine jewelry department in Braintree!! I purchased some gold earrings for my girlfriend and she lost one of them after only wearing them 3 times. When I received the bill in the mail, it was hard to pay because we lost one, so I looked online and saw a customer care phone number. I called, figuring I had nothing to lose and explained my situation and they suggested I go to the store & speak with a manager. After a few trips into the store, I spoke to Pamela (who sold us the earrings) and she said to bring in the earring and she would help me out. Janet (another manager) was on the day I returned with the earring we had and she was informed by Pam of my problem. Without hesitation, Janet ordered my girlfriend another pair of earrings!!! I never thought they would replace them, but I felt like I had to give it a shot because it was difficult paying a bill for something I/we didn't have. Still can't believe the customer service these remarkable employees offered me! Again, thank you Pam & Janet for an exceptional experience!! I just left this Macy's after a WONDERFULLLLL experience with Bonita Braddy at the Michael Kors counter. I was having a terrible day (unrelated to Macy's) and Bonita completely turned that around. She not only helped me pick out a beautiful new Michael Kors iPhone case but also made me laugh and we had a great conversation. She had another woman working with her who was so kind and friendly as well but I forget her name. These 2 ladies provided outstanding customer service and didn't rush me or try to push products on me. Bonita also informed me about the Macy's credit card which I will very likely be signing up for in the future! :) great job Bonita and her lovely coworker! You ladies are great! I ordered a pair of shoes at this location in the women's shoe department a few weeks ago, was told they would arrive at my apartment in 3-5 business days. I bought the shoes here because they had such a good sale compared to other stores. 2 weeks later, still no shoes at my apartment. So, I called the store to find out if there was some issue with my order. I sat on hold for about 45 minutes until I finally was able to get a human on the phone. Terrible experience. I'd rather shop elsewhere and pay the extra money to get better customer service. read more

Truthfully, ive seen better locations. I'd have to say the best section within this Macy's is the cosmetics department. Otherwise, everything is a mess. Once you walk in, you're greeted by messy racks of cross body and hand bags. The shoe department is pretty good, but the clothing section is atrocious. There's clothes scattered everywhere and of course it's obviously customers' faults, too, but employees working here should tidy up the place more often than they do. Also, speaking of which, there are very few people here who are kind. ----- My parents were checking out and had only a couple of items to purchase. They stood in front of a couple and the lady at the register completely ignored my parents and went straight to accommodate the others. They had more things to buy, and it was definitely unfair because my family was there first! It's not the couple's fault, even though they should've said something. When my dad spoke up to the lady to confront her about skipping him and my mother, she simply brushed it off and ignored him. After awhile of bickering she decided to actually notice my parents and take care of their needs. After checking them out she had the audacity to APOLOGIZE to the couple because my family was "bothering" them. Not sure if it's because we're Asian and the couple and the lady at the register were white, but it could've definitely been a factor. Please tell this guy whose name is "Jean" STOP Asian Hate. I purchased 3 shirts online, and one of the shirts was damaged. I printed out the return slip and went to Macy's store at South Shore Plaza. The store associate "Jean" worked at the desk around 8 pm on 6/23/21. I gave him the shirt and the return slip. He checked the shirt and asked where is the tag. I assumed he talked about the price tag, so I answered " I ordered it online, there is no price tag when I got it" Then, he was very rude and said to me "no tag, no return" I told him to please check the return slip. It has all information, and also the instructions for the store associate. He refused to do it. My husband saw this and asked him Could we get a manager to assist this return process? He kept yelling at us "No tag, no return", and threw the shirt back to us. Then, we really wanted to talk with a manager about his attitude. He said to us " No tag, No return, No manager, Get out of my way! Next customer!" This was shocking and unacceptable. There was another customer before me, and he helped that customer with a return. We didn't understand why his actions and attitude totally changed for an Asian customer. We stood there for a few minutes, and there was another store associate next to Jean. She didn't say anything and didn't offer any help. Both their attitude makes me double Macy's tolerate discrimination and racist. After we left the registration desk, we found "Doriane".She was so nice. It took her only 2 minutes to finish the return process. We shared what happened. She also couldn't believe it. I hope that Macy's has more employees like Doriane, less employees like Jean. read more

Sorry....no stars for this store! The worst customer service department ever! The clerks behind the desk could not be any slower. As the line was building to the back of the store they just took their sweet time! And, when I finally did get help for a return, that was another nightmare. I was shorted one item on the return. It took 10 minutes and another clerk to fix the mistake. I love Macy's sales, but next time I shop online, and I will ONLY shop online, I will make sure that the items are what I want. I thought it would be easier to go to the store. I was dead wrong. Oh, if you do want to purchase something in the store.....good luck finding an open register. Outstanding customer service! I was shopping with a friend yesterday and I wanted to sample a spritz of an Estee Lauder perfume that is kind of obscure. Naturally, there were no Estee Lauder representatives to be found. A lady named Fang appeared and asked if she could help me. She patiently rummaged behind the counter to find the two testers I asked for, then pulled out every bottle in the drawers to find the ones I wanted, She was pleasant, no pressure at all and did not make us feel rushed. Compared to my usual experience trying to buy perfume, this was utterly delightful. By the way, I tried to find what I wanted at Nordstrom's first but they had neither the testers nor the actual bottles for sale. If you are looking for an obscure E.L., head straight to Macy's. Never again will I shop at Macy's. I purchased a mattress and box spring at the Braintree store on 8/28. The delivery was scheduled for Sat Sept 18. I received multiple confirmations for this delivery. Friday Sept 17 I received a confirmation with a delivery window of time, and the morning of Sept 18 I received a text again confirming delivery between 12:45 and 2:45pm, along with a "tracker" of the delivery and followed it anxiously. I pulled the bedroom apart and put the old mattress and box spring on the sidewalk IN THE RAIN for the trash to pick up. Then - At 11:30 am I received a call from the delivery company that they had to reschedule. Are you kidding me? They wanted to deliver it - and hold me up another day - on Sunday. Nope! I cancelled the order. When I called the store to cancel the order, the clerk in the furniture dept never even offered an apology or showed any empathy for my situation. Horrible, horrible service and -- for all you retailers who hire cheap delivery services -- they're costing you business and Customers! read more

Went into pick up my web order that I placed to pick up in store. Not only it took me two hours to get there and when arrived I was told by the cashier that the order hasn't been picked yet. Went upstairs to the department and spoke to one of the store rep and asked him to show me where this item was located in the store not only was he helpfully I asked him to see if we can cancel the order as after seeing the item in person it didn't meet my expectations. Once he was on the phone the gentleman on the phone told him he couldn't cancel the order so he put me on the phone with the customer service rep. Now mind you once getting on the phone with the customer service rep he told me that if I want to cancel the order you have to cancel it in 15 minutes after the order is placed. Which I honestly think it's bogus and not enough time for any person to cancel the order if they change or dislike the item. Then I told the gentleman who was helping me how about we just take this item downstairs and see if they can cancel the order now not only did we pick the item did half of the job but the cashier who was helping me had no clue what to do. I tried explaining what's going on and what I wanted to do she went and got another cashier now we kept getting more cashiers involved and not one cashier had any idea what needs to be done. Not one smile on there face or any apologies in this matter. While waiting in line 3 more customers were in line for the same issue. Now it states on there website that they won't charge your CC till you get possession of the item which is false as there is a charge on my CC and funny part I still don't have the item. Also it states that the order is ready 2 hours from when it's ordered which is False as well. I will never return back to Macy's ever again horrible service. read more

I got some clothing and was asked if I wanted to open a card and get a discount. Also told I would get an another 20% off my bill for a new account. Well I returned one of the items and they took away my additional discount. Said if you return something its taken away. Of course this was not told to me at the store, only after I called about my bill balance. Being a new costumer they should have kept their word and honored it but of course they didn't. I came here last week, and the clothes was everywhere. The staff didnt greet me, or asked me if I needed help when I stoid at the same spot looking at rhem for over 20mins. However, that being said, the bedding department (we are in need of a guest bed set) was ripped apart, disorganized, and no one was helpful. The Wedding Registry department at Macy's can't be beat! All the ladies who helped my husband, myself (and my mom on a few occasions) are awesome. They made sure we had everything we needed, helped us get all the best sales on items we purchased after the wedding and to this day remember us when we go in, almost a year later. We all know how busy the store is and how many people they interact with on a daily basis, but it never shows because these sales associates treat you like you are the only people there. Macy's has a shop on line and pick up in store service that is outstanding. The pick up location is super conveniently located so you can just walk in the door, and get your stuff without digging through racks etc. Turns out the handbag I ordered as a gift was smaller than I thought it was, so I went to the handbag section with what I had purchased, had a very knowledgeable woman help me find the most perfect gift. Then they refunded the online order, added a promo coupon and rang me out in under 10 minutes. At the price I paid, I would have dug through bins - instead I got super service 3 days before Christmas. Thank you Macy's read more

I had a very frustrating and long experience here and the customer service did not help at all. After messing up my return and losing a $100 I was standing at the counter for at least 30 minutes and two managers, Rich and Bill, were attempting to fix it and no solution was being reached. After waiting for them to call the Macy's calling center the transaction was finally going through I wasn't not compensated for my time and I lost a coupon that was used on my original order and was not offered a replacement and was told by Rich that a coupon could've never been used in the first place. This place is so unbelievably cramped and messy. They take no pride whatsoever in the appearance of their store. The service is horrible. Example: I bought cologne for my father for Christmas, purposely paying with cash because I only buy presents with cash in case people want to return what I buy them. I sent my husband to return the cologne a week later because I found it for a better price elsewhere. My husband called me from the store, saying they wouldn't give me cash back because "the receipt states I paid with a card". I got on the phone with the woman at the counter and told her 1. I do not have a Macy's card, 2. I haven't had a Macy's gift card in years, and 3. I knew I paid in cash because I never buy gifts not with cash! She got the manager, and the manager said he would give me cash back "as a courtesy" but the receipt says I paid with a card. SERIOUSLY?! It's not my fault your workers can't print a receipt right. While I'm happy I got what was rightfully mine back, I'm appalled by the service and will never shop at this Macy's again. read more

I was really excited to buy a new lipstick until one of the ladies at the MAC counter which her name was Jenna made me feel really uncomfortable. I do not think I will EVER go back there again. For the most, I like Macy's, especially the sales! One thing that rubs me the wrong way is that when I want to use a coupon/code, and the total order drops to under $100.00 - sometimes just under resulting in a shipping charge. The result is that you don't get much of the discount that is offered. I don't think that the discounted order total should be the total within which to apply the discount. The shipping cot should be based on the the total of the order not the discounted total. It's a turn off. I recently used Macy's Personal Shopper. She asked me some question about the colors I like. When I went to my appointment with her, she was not prepared. She did not bring one piece of clothing with colors I had spoke to her about. She had colors of clothing, which were colors that I was not interested in. My job is in a conservative field, but she offered clothing items that were not conservative. She contact the Boston Macy's store to see if they had a sweater for me. She never me whether to not the item was located at the Boston store. I followed up with her, and I did hear back that the Boston store had not let her know by that time. No followup by her since them. She was dressed in all black - and part of her top was a see through lace top. She was dressed unprofessionally as compared to the other personal shoppers I have used in the past at Macys. She was dressed in black from head-to-toe with the lace on the top part of her blouse - it was very cheap looking. Sorry to say that, but she wasn't dressed appropriately for her job. Her hair was bleached blonde, which was not flattering. tn addition, she never asked if I was a petite size etc... One would think that she could have figured that out when I met with her to discuss setting up an appointment. I do not recommend this personal shopper. I miss the woman who used to do this job - Lisa - who wax very professional and knowledgable. I won't be going back to her. read more

I've shopped at Macy's for years. I will often go to this one instead of the one in Hanover 5 min. away because it's alot bigger and has a better selection of items. That being said, it always looks like a bomb went off,particularly in the bedding and shoe departments. I thought it was just on Black Friday but I've been here in mid August and it's the same messy store as it is during the holidays. The children's dept. could also be alot bigger. That being said,the deals are great and if you have their credit card you get frequent rewards in the mail to shop with. If I'm in a pinch for a new blouse or pair of earrings for something, I will always hit up Macy's for a deal. If this store were alot neater and there were more salespeople,it would be a nice place toshop. read more

What a pleasure it was to work with him as I tried to figure out what I needed and what would be the best for me in my home. This is not about the Macy's store in Braintree but with Macy's Corporate whomever is in charge of their credit card billing. When I use my Macy's credit card and make a purchase. The statement comes in I pay the bill off in total well before the due date. Then the very next billing cycle I receive a bill for $2.00 for a fee charge? How is there a fee charged when the balance on the credit card statement is $0.00. This has not been a one time occurrence. This has happened every time I have used the Macy's credit card. When I call to Macy's they tell me that the computers do not know when someone has paid off in full? Don't you think they should be re-programmed? Imagine if it happened to say one half of the people who have a Macy's credit card receive their bills and don't pay attention paying the $2.00 fee. Free money to Macy's. Beware that some of these Companies are still trying to make money off of us when we pay them off in full. read more
