Understaffed which leads to customers getting ignored . Limited inventory has gone down hill over the years , used to be a great store .

In an age of technology, I am constantly reminded of my age. In a world of snapface and insta text…read moreand face pages, I find myself outside the scope. A wanderer in a new world, holding myself against a tide of modernity. It seems there are few of me left. Few haggard stragglers, refusing to let the tide take ya! And yet here I am, on my iPhone twenty-something or other, tip-tapping away on a make believe screen talking about my times. My times...my father used to come home with hell on his breath, puttin' the fear of god in me. His knuckles smelled like the textile mill. "Be a man!" He would shout, my mother would try to hold him back but anyway... I'm still here, an old man but still here. So take that. Where was I again? I remember the age of Patti Page, the age of fast-talking, ciggy smoking, bitch slapping men. What ever happened to the dean martins of the world anyway? What happened to the world of ford sunliners and plymouths with tailfins and dads playing ball in the front lawn in fitted suits? My dad used to huck the ball at my head when I dropped a ball. Said he was trying to make me into a star ballplayer. Well, my friends, Milton's is the store for men. Not just any kind of men, real men. The men of the past. It even smells like the past in here too. Kind of like my pappy's root cellar, mildew included. That's really not the point though. Here, you can find all your fine suited needs. Wingtip shoes, fedoras, seersucker pleats and belts to boot. It is almost like the past, but it lacks something. Maybe the fear of god or of communism. Sometimes I come here to feel more at home in a world gone mad. Cheers.

The staff is absolutely amazing. I am from 1100 miles away and just had another retailer tell me…read morethat they could not get me the pants I needed for the groomsmen in my wedding. In searching for someone who sold Tommy Hilfiger suits and could help, Milton's came up as one of the results. Taking a chance, I called the Chestnut Hill location and talked to Joe, who was filling in at the location. Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. They helped a guy from over 1100 miles away that is only going to spend $300 dollars like he was the most important customer. Thank you Joe and Tim, I appreciate more than you.

I was looking to rent a suit, but the alterations I would need due to my short and stout frame made renting impossible. Rita was amazing. She calmly went thru stock a few times and found me a suit on clearence (due to discontinued color); and sold it to me at the rental price with all alterations included. Hallelujah! Highly recommend these folks, and ask for Rita!

We went in to get fitted- we probably picked the wrong day the staff was super busy because it was wedding season! (Late June I was there of 2022). We waited as the people ahead of us were taken care of then proceeded to be fitted. I will say right off the bat I have a weird body shape- no jacket seemed to fit right- again weird body shape McGee over here. One of the other tailors freed up and took us right on back to the fitting rooms. He had me sized up in no time and in a comfy suit then went to work on fitting my stepson. After a few minutes we were looking spiffy and comfortable. I watched as rack after rack of groomsmen tuxes were bagged up and labeled ready for pickup, the tailor joked with us both about how crazy busy it was as he fitted us and generally kept us at ease. Suits rented- money paid and off we went. Here's the nice part- the shop was nice enough to let us rent the suits about a week early and when went to return them the shop was closed as the team was off for the 4th of July (well deserved after the craziness I witnessed with the weddings lol). So I called their number and left a message asking what do as I was going on vacation. Maria called me back and told me to not to worry about it and bring the suits in when I got back- there would be no late charge. Good to her word we were not charged and it was an overall great interaction with the shop. They take cash, venmo, and credit- but there is an extra fee for the credit card processing- a sign on the counter states this as well. One downside is there is not seating area in the main shop to wait- but the shop is so full of suits, and tuxes it makes sense why it's not there. Other than that- thank you Russo's for your kindness and understanding throughout the process of rental and return!

Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find Christine, who use to make her own wedding dresses. These days,…read moreshe works out of her home doing alterations for us! She is just a phone call away! I suspect the number listed is also her personal phone number. She was very accommodating and very flexible, which was very helpful with my schedule. I came back about a hand full of times for my satin wedding dress, as I had to take in the bust, waist, and hem the dress. I also had her restructure my neck line (strapless) to adjust to my removable sleeves as they were quite long. I initially also had the designer restructure my neck line as I didn't like the pointy edges of my strapless dress and subsequently had the designer round out my line. Christine took it in some more and continued to round them to attach my sleeves so they wouldn't drape down so low on my arms. Although the process was a bit nerve wrecking, she did a wonderful job. She also showed me various bustles and was very knowledgeable. Despite choosing one, she gave me two options when I picked up my final dress, which was very nice. She is very reasonable priced, given that she has low overhead working in a small cramped space of her home. I was quoted elsewhere for about 5x the price. So I was very pleased to say the least. I have since recommended her to my sister.
