I don't even want to give this store ONE star- YOU DON'T DESERVE IT. We come to this mall regularly, it's a nice place to take my terminally ill grandson when he needs a change of scenery. He's 3 years old and loves the mall. The main elevator was broken so we used the elevator in Macy's to get to the 2nd floor. We were also parked in the handicapped section near Macy's. I have stage 4 cancer as well. At 5 minutes to 8, we went to back to Macy's only to find that they had already closed their glass doors and there were 3 sales girls dancing by their display cases, NOT kidding! After getting their attention, 1 came over while another went to get someone that had a 'key'. The man came to us, told us he didn't have a key, then told us their "elevator was broken", when we had just used it 2 hours prior! We had the baby in a wagon, not his wheelchair or stroller, so we can't just take him down the stairs and run the risk of dropping him. We ended up having to exit the OTHER SIDE OF THE DAMN MALL and then walk around the entire store of Macy's on the OUTSIDE IN THE DARK AND THE COLD!! Even then, the walk wasn't cut and dry, we had to go down a road and loop around a fence. Yea, YOUR PEOPLE DID THAT TO US! We don't have much time left on this earth but I sure as hell will be keeping myself and my grandson away from your store! That's a loss on your part as well, I usually purchase ALL of my family's bedding from your store. I will also be telling others just how 'helpful' your idiotic staff is. read more

We stopped in last night at the Aurora Mall after deciding we needed to get out of the house for a bit. I was looking for Flowerbomb and was surprised it's not carried in quite a few stores Even Macys at Northfield didn't carry it but this location does. Pretty good store. I've been multiple times and had mixed experiences at this location with both friendly and very unhelpful employees. Women's Clothes: I'm happy with the clothing selection and clearance racks are fun to browse. Shoes: The shoe selection is okay, but I've seen better at other Macy's stores. Men's Clothes: I had an associate try to help me track down specific ties and she searched her computer, tried to figure out shipping options, etc. She was very helpful with assisting me in a difficult situation of trying to track down 3 matching ties. Beauty Counters: The beauty counters should get 2 stars. There is rarely anyone at the Estée Lauder counter which is a bummer when I go to Macy's specifically to buy a bottle of my favorite foundation from Estée Lauder. I've received a bad attitude from a lady working at Clinique when I asked her if I could get help. She could have called someone else but instead she begrudgingly tried to "help" me. I needed a sample of something and she constantly kept saying "I don't work this counter so I don't know where things are," which is fine except she said it with an attitude in a way that made me feel like it was my fault. read more

After having my wife's credit card number stolen and used to the tune of $1400 I have had enough. Three phone calls to customer service , cards cancelled and reissued and receiving assurances the matter is being resolved she received a call from collections about the overdue balance. That was the last straw. My wife is an avid online shopper this occurred while shopping in Aurora CO Macy's. There is a massive process failure which puts my identity at risk. Weird coupon store policies, minimal selection on clothing than other locations, crappy customer service and last but not least: Dirty fitting rooms. Came here to purchase the expected work uniforms for my job. I personally am a huuge fan of Calvin Klein, wanted to use some coupons on the $58.98 x2 dress pants from CK. I was trying to navigate through the distraught maze of materialism. Sometimes I look around and wonder how so little of the clothes from Macy's would actually look reasonable on a person. Some of the items are just plain weird. They are made fit for someone who's unreasonably tall, and obviously slim. Well, I couldn't find any help so I was left with asking someone from a completely different department. She was from the fragrance department and obviously did not want to abandon her 3 steps away post to show me someone else who could help me. She then points to two cashiers who are obviously storming other shoppers and who frankly, didn't look like they were up to help me because they were too busy checking out a million others. Fine. Not a problem. I then ask the cashiers for an unoccupied person, we get this lady who was odd and she pointed me to a plus size women's department for pants, and obviously the pants are parachute size for my body so I give her this look. She eyeballs my body shape and then realizes she is way off on the scale. So then she tells me that this is the only department they have for dress and professional women's clothing. I obviously know that's not true. Another 5 minutes of walking around and crawling in and out of this maze, I finally stumble what I'm looking for. When trying on my pants, I was grossed out that I felt eeky trying not to step on the incredibly dirty and with hangers everywhere. When checking out, I was told by the SAME lady that I was unable to use my Macy's coupon because the cents ended in .98 cents and I couldn't use my coupon if I picked out an item from a particular part of the store. So basically these coupons can't be used on anything. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?!! this woman actually should've made me question her and I would've been happy to speak to a manager. Rude store associate. I had to leave town unexpectedly due to a family emergency, and when I got back, I tried to make a return. It was a few days outside of the window (which I wasn't aware of until that point that the window went from 90 days to 30 days) and instead of telling me "sorry we can't take that back" (which would have been totally okay), I was told "you should have thought about it before you left town" in snarky condescending tone of voice. Okay, I believe in fair reviews especially if my experience changed. This is my 2nd time back since my last review of a generous 2 stars... now adding 2 more to make it a 4 star. My last two recent experiences at Polo & Levis for men have been much better! Today the store was dead but VERY clean & organized. Thank you for improving your appearance. On my way out the store manager - guy greeted me and asked if my experience was good...which this time around I could smile back & say yes! Good job Macys cleaning up & hiring a great customer service employee by mens Levis (middle section- not at Levis). She was pleasant to deal with. read more

it's nice store with lots of specials and often you wonder if it's really a sale or just a hype. during recent Christmas special I bought two coats at $149 each with two different transactions. later on i find out that i should have gotten $20 Macy's red card credit that i had to spend all at one time. i only had 1st receipt for 1sr coat and ended up getting $20. ended up getting things I don't need like moose crunch snacks. well, i had to return the second coat I got that i didn't had chance to get the $20 Macy's red card credit. it was somehow tied to the 1st coat and they deducted $20 from my refund. $129 net refund. I was surprised and upset that two different transaction was tied to each other. I was pissed off that $20 dollar went down the drain on getting stuffs I don't even need. Well, Macy. I hope you guys made lot of profit on the 1st coat i kept and $20 worth of useless stuff i got. Never to return again. read more

After this store experience, I'm returning everything I've bought from Macy's and will never EVER BE BACK AFTER THE WAY THIS... So lost Prevention chick runs past me and following her was a guard dressed in a wanna be cop uniform, so at first glance I thought the dude was after her until she slammed her boots and stopped & turned around. She was on her phone & I didn't know it but I soon realize that they were after me!! I had 3 make up gift sets and a perfume that I was returning, I had my recite and the make up counter is on the second floor toward the exit door out to the mall though it's unclear to me why they thought I had shop lifted but she was on the phone with the police asking if cops could be outside as I've resisted arrest and than she said I'd gotten away the last time- being so confused as I'd never been to this location before nor had I ever been a criminal this made me very tense. I had left the stick to the perfume In the car so I went back down to grab it and these suckers followed me out to my car and still were acting as if I'd done something wrong so when I got back into the store thankful there was a register right by the east doors I asked the employee to call a member of management ASAP! She arrived shortly after & I explained to her what I'd been seeing, hearing and what I'd just experienced, she tells me that I should just do my thing & not worry about them, well I'm sorry this was so nerve racking that would be very hard to do especially since once I got back upstairs to the register they had my returns in there hands as if they were stolen which they certainly were not!!!! I'd tried to talk to them and they acted as if I didn't even exist they wouldn't say one word to me but they went and tried to whisper into the cashiers ear without me hearing. Anyways this was insane that they acted like this I don't know how I could fit a profile of someone else when I have blue hair so if that is there thinking they were really stupid L.P. Associates!!! This Macy's is a larger store than the other's I've been to in the metro area. The men's wear department seemed to go on and on. Located on the lower level of the store, the men's fragrance department was well stocked and well attended. I was less than thrilled with the men's wear offerings for higher end clothing, but for casual wear they have a good selection - jeans, work out sweats, shirts. The underwear department was sorely lacking and looked like it was mid-remodel. Same goes for shoes - pretty slim pickings there. Not a bad department store all around. read more

I only go to this Macy's store when I am short on time. They always seem to be out of sizes, especially in the shoe department. For example, the other day I was in there and while looking at a shoe I was informed by the sales clerk that the only size they had was the display shoe - that was the one and only shoe they had. When I told her there were two shoes of the same display she promptly said that was all they had that the manufacturer sent to them. She then pointed out a more expensive brand and when I asked for a size in a less expensive brand she came back and said they didn't have either size in that shoe either. I am now onto this old bait and switch trick. Show less expensive shoes that aren't in stock to get the shopper to purchase a more expensive brand. I won't be going back to this store. I am reviewing the Clinique Counter. Amy Kosloski went above and beyond for me back in October. I had a daughter in college who needed to get her make-up fast. She got it too her in a few days. She also helped me with my make-up. I am not usually happy at this Clinique Counter because they are always out of my color. She helped me choose another one and made sure we got our free gifts. Susan kindly guided me to the lunch containers and showed me all their selection. although they didn't have what i was looking for she totally went out of her way to show me what she had. she even took me to the clearance section to check stuff out there too. very good experience with susan along with Noehmi. Went to M.A.C. Makeup inside Macy's at Aurora town center for the first time ever and what a great experience!! Manet was so amazing!!! She helped me find my foundation color and so much more!! It was my first time doing the whole makeup contour anything stuff. I'm usually just concealer n mascara.. lol she made me feel comfortable and we laughed a bunch throughout the makeup testing! I have never shopped at macys before. I am not going to lie. When I walked in I didn't think I would find anything that suited me. I ended up finding this beautiful black form fitting sweater shirt with a gold chain clipped shoulder to shoulder. I ended up wearing it for thanksgiving. But the major plus was the guy that rang me up was very pleasant and also told me about their deal. I ended up get two different sweater shirts for the same price. The only down side is I felt that some of their prices were a little steep. But all in all I liked it read more

I ordered a bra online and it didn't quite fit. The receipt said I could take it back to a store in person, so I did. Or I tried. Not only do they not carry that brand in the store, but they don't even carry my size, or any size remotely near it. The salesgirl was smug when she told me, and offered no solutions as far as where I could go to even get something my size. It's like she enjoyed telling me that. Cutting up my Macy's card. I've been here a few times and this store has the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a retail outlet. One time I came here and found a handbag that was in a sale bin. I went to check it out and the lady at the cash register started flipping out because it didn't have a price tag anywhere. It took her 10 minutes to ring me up. When she finally did I thanked her and she didn't say a word back to me, instead she specifically avoided looking at me and said 'FML'. I don't know why but I came back here again, this time to look for bras. There was this lady in the bra aisle and she asked if she could help me. I asked her if they have bras in my size and she had no idea what I was talking about and made me feel really stupid. I found what I needed myself and later I saw her again and she asked if she was able to help me find what I was looking for. Are you kidding me?? I recently went to Macy's at the Aurora Mall to buy an electric blanket that was advertised for around $27.00. My son and I wandered around and around the bedlinen section for quite awhile without seeing anything remotely resembling the blanket. There were signs, nothing. After looking all around for a salesperson to help us, we finally went to the cookware department to ask for help. They finally found one person who had returned to the cash register in the linen department. That salesperson was immediately swamped by people needing help and could only point us in a direction the blankets might be in. More searching and no blanket. Back to sales counter. Salesperson calls in a manager who appeared a few minutes later. She wanders around with us. She calls in the store manager who looks around and says they are out. Just like that. A sale item advertised in their circular and they are out. The saleswoman told us she actually had never seen the blanket and thought maybe they only had a couple of them to begin with. Why would a store advertise an item that they do not have the stock on. It may have been a closeout but I was there within a few hours of the sale starting. By the way, it was not Black Friday and this was not a door-buster item. The thing that really chapped my hide was the attitude of the store manager. It was so obvious that he took one look at my son and I and could not be bothered to help us in any way. Apparently if you don't dress in your Sunday best, you are not worthy of help. This man looked for 30 seconds in the back, said there weren't any and then left. Without any suggestions, calls to other stores, nothing. After several minutes of venting my frustration to the floor manager, she called around to other Macy's looking for the item. Later on that day, I went back to that Macy's store and saw the manager helping another customer. She was dressed to the teeth and he was falling all over himself to help her. I stood there with my mouth hanging open. Mr. Manager of Macy's, my money is just as green as anyone else's. I may not be dressed in a five hundred dollar outfit but I deserve the same treatment as anyone else. Geez, guess I'll stick with Kohl's. read more

Worst Macy's I've ever been to, I've had a couple bad experiences in the past. I usually never come here, choosing to take my business elsewhere to avoid this place, but today I was waiting for a pair of glasses at LensCrafters and had some time to burn. I desperately need sandals and thought I'd give them another shot. I picked out four pair and didn't see a single sales person. I waited and waited. I walked up to the checkout desk and overheard two people talking in the store room about paying rent. I get it, I do. I used to work in the shoe department of a department store but you have to make sure there aren't any customers waiting before and during chat sessions with co workers in the store room. These ladies could have cared less. I finally stuck my head around the corner and someone came out. She came back with two pair and then disappeared again. I was thinking about getting the $49 pair, but decided against it after the lady never came back. I don't know what I was thinking even thinking about shopping there. Horrible customer service.
