JCPenney - Department Stores Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

I love JCPenney, I really do. I have been shopping at JCP for a long time and it is my go to store. However employees are another matter. I have been trying to call the Aurora store in reference to a pick up order and the phone just rings and rings and rings. So I guess nobody bothers to pick up the phone? No worries, the pick up order can just sit there until they cancel it and refund me then. smh. Work ethic does not exist anymore it seems. This is one reason that actual stores are failing, the employees suck. So when the store closes and you are out of a job, remember, it is because of your crappy work ethic that helped you lose your job read more

After spend $100 two days ago and returning everything, the clerk says that $2 fee for a bag, is not returnable. What kind of policy it this. Now I see why JCPenny is not the place to spend your money at since you can't get your money back. Bad customer service as well, supervisor are rude. read more

We saw a nice set of Jennifer Lopez perfume that my wife loved. When I scanned the bar code on the package with my JcPenney app it said it was $30 and included the phrase "Price At Your Aurora Mall Store". When the cashier scanned it, the cash register charged it at $56 dollars. We then proceeded to show her the price shown on the app. She said she couldn't honor that price nor could she do the price adjustment. She called one of the managers over. I scanned the package with the JCPENNEY app in front of him and even after I showed him the price that came up on the app he said he couldn't do anything about it. I sent a complaint to JcPenney and never got a response from them. read more

JCPenney - Department Stores Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

This store is a dump they always out of stock, higher prices than other stores, rude employees, unhelpful too. JCP is the last big box old century companies. They will go out of business like Sears, Kmart and Wards. On the out hand at least Macy department stores are trying to make it work with up to date fashion etc. and helpful employees. They know retail is a tuff business in this day and age. In he past JCP was miss management from the top and still does. Shop some where else. like Macy. A lot of retailers are going out of business like Toy R Us etc. Bye bye JCP shop some where else. read more

I literally waited 30 minutes at checkout, and there were only two people ahead of me. The sale prices on the rack don't ring up. If I hadn't needed a dress at the last minute I would have walked out. read more

***THIS IS FOR THE JC PENNEY HAIR SALON at Aurora Town Center Mall*** LADIES LADIES LADIES and gentlemen! We have found her, its official!! By her, I mean our new hair stylist. By our new hair stylist, I mean Monet! So happy I found her... After moving from Texas, I've seen a few strange things out here in the Denver hair world (side eye) and needless to say, I have been extremely reluctant in letting anyone touch my hair. After much prayer I finally just allowed for it to happen and booked my first hair appointment, and I'm so glad I did. Monet is the very best! Very sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated how she was so gentle with my hair. Oh and I should add... I am natural (no relaxer) with hair past my waist. I did not hear any snapping, ripping or popping of my hair during the detangling process so in this case, silence was golden! There was an upcharge for longer hair but I didn't mind after I saw the results and was blessed by her hands. Also, if I may add, Monet has great time management skills as well. I was expecting to be in the chair for at least 3 hours but it only took maybe 1 hr - 1.5 hrs which was impressive. My hair was/is flawless, soft, and flowy. I've gotten so many compliments, and people keep touching it (which I do NOT like but that's a whole other story). Thanks so much Monet! read more

Compared to Bay Area, this was a nicer JC Penny, bigger and not as crowded.

JCPenney has been around for years and you would think they would treat there customers better, we brought a bed frame and the frame was bent and the metal part was not functioning properly it was stripped, we called customer service and the agent told us they would send someone to pick it up for is and return it...that was a big lie!! That agent misinformed us and now there's nothing we can do about it. DO NOT ORDER ANY LARGE ITEMS SUCH AS BED FRAMES ONLINE BECAUSE TRUST ME IT WILL BE DAMAGED AND YOU CAN'T RETURN THE ITEMS!! ORDERING ON-LINE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND INCONVENIENT SO BEWARE!! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO CLOSE FOREVER WITH THE DINOSAURS!! read more

Elda at the aurora mall JCPenney was so unprofessional I asked for a price on earrings she gave me the price and completed my check out. Never did she ask me if I wanted a protection plan or informed me that the price she gave me was with the protection plan. She continued to add the plan in to my purchase and when I looked at the receipt she had added the plan without my knowledge or consent. When asked about this error she told me the plan comes included in the price of the earrings. This was sneaky sales deception. This is not ok!! I will no longer shop here. read more

I like JCPenney, but this location is terrible. I try to avoid Aurora at all costs, but ended up here with my family one day to buy some clothes for my kids. What a disaster! There were clothes everywhere - balled up all over the shelves, lying on the floor. It was such a mess, I couldn't find anything. So, my husband found an employee and asked why everything was such a mess and explained that I couldn't find anything. The employee, in a rude tone of voice, said it was because of a 'sale' they had the day before and then turned her back on my husband. First of all, if the sale was the day before - why is the store still such a mess the following day, in the late afternoon? Second, don't turn your back on customers. My husband continued to complain and eventually another employee came over, and then a store manager. My husband wasn't being rude, but simply trying to ask if there were any staff members that could clean up the area because it was impossible to find anything. Each staff member and the manager sort of huddled together in a circle and started chatting about things that didn't apply to our concern - they kept turning their backs on my husband. I was so irritated, I told my husband that they obviously didn't want to help us so let's just walk away. He attempted a few more times to ask for assistance but the staff continued to ignore him and actually ended up walking away from him and the children's clothing department - I couldn't believe it! My husband was pretty upset and started snapping pictures of the disarray that the department was in. Suddenly, the staff that had so willingly turned their backs on us appeared. They told him he needed to stop right away because he didn't have 'corporate permission' to take photographs within the store. Really? My husband told them that because they didn't want to help us and had no desire to make their store presentable and - 'shoppable' - he was going to send in a complaint, along with the pictures. They threatened to CALL SECURITY and have him removed from the store! We let them know that they had lost our business and that we'd never be coming back there again. I sent the pictures and a letter to their corporate office and NEVER received any form of apology or anything. They once again chose to ignore us. We later went to our usual location, the JCP in Brighton, and had a totally different experience. We even told the staff there what had happened and they were appalled. If you need to shop at JCP, stay the heck AWAY from this location! They treat you poorly, don't maintain their store and treat you like dirt if you ask for assistance. What a terrible place with even worse employees! read more

Looking for new work clothes for the boyfriend and he let me come along as long as I didn't ruin the shopping experience for him. He says I did a pretty good job, he still likes shopping. We found a great braided brown belt $20, two pairs of khaki pants $11 a piece, and some socks. Everything at a great price, completely affordable, and an overall good shopping experience. read more

I recently transferred companies and am in need of a wardrobe update. I spent about 10-15 minutes in the formal men's section looking for a blazer or suitcoat that would fit. I was never offered assistance and never saw a single employee the entire time I was browsing. I left and went to Dillard's instead where I was instantly helped. read more

I love this JCPenny for a couple of reasons. 1. JCPenny has basically completely overhauled their men's section to bring it more up-to-date and in line with today's fashions and styles. Gone are the days of the big, baggy fitting dress shirts, jeans, sweaters, jackets and ties. You can now find skinny ties, slim fitting shirts, jackets, sport coats, and their new JCP line of clothing is very trendy. 2. Sales are back! It seems like every time I go in here I find a great piece of clothing on sale for 50% off or more or I find something great on the clearance rack for up to 70-80% off. Even the prices for things not on sale (if it's something you simply must have) are going to be affordable. 3. They always seem to have my sizes. For whatever reason this particular JCPenny location always seems to have clearance items in my size which makes it fun as opposed to frustrating to look through the clearance racks. I found 2 Sport Coats on clearance for 80% off just this last weekend and both fit me perfectly! Woot! The sales staff has always been very helpful and the whole vibe of the store seems rejuvenated, updated and fresh. read more

Never shopping here again! If I could rate them a negative star I would. My 15year old son was waiting for me outside the fitting room and was approached by their loss prevention employee who didn't identity or provide any identification to him and accused him of shoplifting. Didn't even wait for me to come out of the dressing room to speak to an adult. My son was humiliated in front of customers and had to show this employee he had nothing under his jacket but the clothes he had arrived in. As we were leaving the parking lot my son broke down and started crying and told me what happened. read more

J C Penney has a new look! I was visiting my mom and picked up a new catalog with the new look J C Penney is trying to pimp. I didn't buy it. I thought, a new catalog and new marketing campaign does not change the not-so-hip clothes this department store has been offering for the last century. But, what had happened was...I needed a good pair of walking shoes for an upcoming European excursion and I didn't want to drop a Benji for my feet. So, I went online (remembering my mom's catalog) and searched J C Penney's online shoe selection. Not bad my friends, not bad. I found a store in my area(well, in my city) and rolled in to pick up my new Mary Jane walking shoes which can also replace my work shoes when I return from my journey. Bingo! and for $45 bones. Oh, and the sales associate in the shoe department at this location is my new shoe BFF. She was funny and engaging. She knew what I wanted when I asked for it - directed me to the right section of the store and showed up with the shoe I wanted, in the right size before I even finished looking. Awesome! read more

You MUST go see Vanessa! She is an incf4eidble customer service centric employee at this location. I called her in panic because I needed a men's black button up for a very low price for a catering event in an hour and she searched through the racks for me while I was on hold and found what I needed, at the price I needed, in the size I needed and then held it for me until I could get there to buy it! She is super friendly, very sweet, and a true asset to this otherwise rundown location. read more

This review is for the salon. I went in as a walk-in on 12/27 and asked for a wash, cut bangs, and blow dry. The woman who I got spoke very broken English and I couldn't understand most of what she said. First, she couldn't find any conditioner at the wash stations and I think she ended up using some men's conditioner because now my hair smells very masculine. It's that typical "man" scent they put in men's products, ya know? I'm a woman. Next, she proceeded to BRUSH my WET hair without any product such as de-tangler. My hair is very long and thick and gets tangled when it's washed, but she just kept on yanking (ouch). Even I know that you're not supposed to BRUSH wet hair, you should comb it to avoid damage. Next, the outlet for the blow dryer kept going out. That's the store's fault, not hers. But, after about 3 minutes of drying, she asked if my hair was good to go when my hair was clearly still very damp. Usually it takes me 10 minutes to dry my hair. I kept telling her more dry until finally I had enough and said OK. I ended up leaving with still damp hair that smelled very masculine. I'm not impressed with my experience this salon location. If the hair experience was as good as their cheery attitudes, it would be perfect. I'll stick to the Park Meadows location, even though this one is much more convenient. Yeah, I got bangs, but I feel like I paid them $27 to stress me out and make me smell like a man. read more

This JCP has got to have the worst staff in their salon. About a year ago or so I went to get my hair done with Cindy at first it was the most incredible job that I had ever gotten on my hair I had never gone blonde before but I loved it. I went in a second time for a retouch everything was fine loved the the job again. But my third time going back was HORRIBLE I had asked to get a completely different over all hair color instead of getting what I asked for I got I got a full staff talking about me behind my back just because I didn't like how my hair came out after the first wash it just wasn't what I asked for so I asked Cindy if she could fix it I mean I was paying about $120 to get my hair done. I didn't pay for what I asked for two weeks after getting my hair done it faded into an ugly pink/orange color I honestly hated it. It wasn't so much the job that was done that I didn't like it was the people working there talking about me as if I couldn't hear you or as if I couldn't see you through the 5 million mirrors you guys have in your salon. Way to be professional ladies. Your prices are way to high and your jobs don't meet customer expectations. I've been coming to Recency Beauty Institute and get my hair done better than what you ladies could do for only $25 Thank you and never again.. read more

ordered shorts on line, regular $34 and on sale for $8.94, what a joke since these are the same as Walmart shorts for $9, cheap poorly constructed and out of 3 pair all the same size only one fit. Jack the price up to some ridiculous price so they can offer a "big" discount. Are people really that stupid? Waited in line for 30 min to return these, 4 cashiers and they all had problems, 2 didn't speak much english and one did not know how to run the register. They paged the main office but no answer. They credited my account but when I logged on it was for the wrong amount. 4 phone calls to Penny's before I finally got it resolved. Will never shop at Penny's again. read more

I just love the Sephora inside JC Penny's These ladies all know what it is to make each customer feel important. I have been to other beauty supplies stores and can not believe how they do not care. Brenda is my consultant of choice but I can assure you anyone of the people working there are just as friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Other stores should look at this location to see how to treat customers. I had a makeover on the 14th of November for my wedding. I have never had so many wonderful compliments on makeup before. When I walked out I looked and felt fabulous. Thank you Brenda and all of you that work there. I will be back many times. read more

On July 20th, I submitted an online order through the JC Penney website for four items: two shirts, one necklace, and one package of hair ties. I chose to have the items shipped to the mall nearest to me. I was informed that the items would take about one week to ship to the mall, which, of course, was fine. I was told that I would receive an email when my order was ready to be picked up. Two weeks passed, and I became a bit inquisitive about what could be happening with my order. I tracked my order through the JC Penney website, and I saw that three out of four items were ready to be picked up, but the hair ties still had not been delivered to the mall. Regardless, I decided to go to the mall to pick up the items that were ready, and then make a second trip when the fourth item was finally ready. I arrived at the mall and was told that all the items ship together, so until the hairties were ready, I could not pick up any items. I was, admittedly, a bit disappointed because the website contained the words "ready for pickup," so I assumed that meant they were, indeed, ready for pickup. Apparently I was wrong to make such an outrageous assumption. At the mall, I was also told that the items were scheduled to arrive at the store the next day, so they would all be ready then. Days passed, and I had still received no email about my order being ready, and additionally, the hair ties were still marked as not delivered to the store. I gave customer service a call, who told me that there was nothing they could do, but told me to go to the store and ask the employees to search for the order. A bit confused, I instead called the mall's JC Penney. I was informed that two out of four items were ready for pickup. I am not sure what happened to the third item. I was told it was ready for pickup in one place, and then informed that it wasn't even at the store from another person. Frankly, I don't know what to believe at this point. I have no idea if I will ever receive my items, which does make me a bit sad. I was so excited when I placed my order, but I don't think I'm ever going to receive half of what I paid for. As a suggestion to JC Penney, I would advise you to not mislead your customers. read more

I went to This JCPenney's today and I asked about the 40% off $40 deal. One lady said it was on everything, even marked down. She was very sweet and answered my question. However, Just to double check I asked another lady who once I asked looked at me as if I were stupid. She replied in a very sarcastic and annoyed tone, "yes it's on everything but marked down." Then when I asked her to ringing me up so I could check the total because I didn't wanna go over a certain amount, she looked at me like I was from another planet. So I asked her again and she did so, but still just had this look that made me feel very uncomfortable and upset, so I told her to forget it and I didn't purchase anything. This is not my first bad experience with the same lady, everybody else is great at this JcPenny's, just that one lady either needs to fix her attitude and have better custom service or be fired. Honestly. read more
