So upsetting to try and shop at Macy's Lenox Mall. It is so messy, disorganized and even dirty after COVID reopening. This Macy's has always been messy but now it looks like a trash heap. Clothes dirty and all over floor. Soda cups sitting on floor, shelves etc. No staff available. This is my go to Macy's for Women's clothes and shoes. They usually have more than the other ones in town. I went in looking for sneakers but ended up in the regular ladies shoes area. The woman in the sneaker dept Finish Line didn't even speak. So thanks to the ladies shoes dept for saving my shopping trip today. Today I found a cute pair of heels on the clearance rack. They were the last pair and they had a small scuff. Jason was helping me out today. He initially tried to buff the scuffs away with leather lotion but it didn't help much. I wanted them anyway so while at checkout he proactively mentioned a discount for the damage on the shoes and his manager Timphany came to assist. She gave me a small discount for the scuffs on top of the clearance price. They both offered great customer service with smiles. Thanks for a great shopping experience. read more

I just wanted to write a quick update to say that this Macy's continues to bring it! I went last weekend during the super busy Friends and Family sale, and they were staffed well with no long lines at any of the counters or fitting rooms. The store remained clean thanks the excellent team members. Despite it being busier than ever, I got personal help from Ashley in Macy's Woman section to help me finally find that black bridesmaids dress I needed. What happened to the Men's Store? It used to be my favorite place to find everything I ever wanted. Now it's kind of gross. I'm mostly sad about the shoe section. It seems like they mostly just carry their private label stuff and not as many name brands. This really was my go-to place for shoes and other stuff. Not anymore. I mean, I still do a walk through whenever I'm in the mall. I just don't end up buying anything. Macy's seems to stock up on big sizes, bland styles, and ugly shoes. This store annoys me in one respect. In the men part of the building, the suits are on the top floor, but for some reason that I have yet to figure out, most of the dress shirts, belts and ties are on the bottom floor. So If you want a nice well-matched suit, you have to go up and down the stairs to piece it together. Huh? I HATE going to this Macy's but because it is in my 'hood I don't really have a choice if I am in a bind and need something. The selections are great so that is another thing that makes it hard to stay away from. The service is just awful...I have never seen such consistent bad service time and time again. EVERY department is bad which is even more baffling: MAC counter: they are usually eager to help in any other store. In Lenox, they finish up conversations with their boss (flirting away) over the phone before they even acknowledge your presence. This is when there is no one else in the counter too, btw.. Shoes: I received the wrong size when I ordered online so I went to exchange them in the store. They didn't have my size but when I asked her to look up which other stores had them nearby her response was: "that would mean I would have to call each store to find out and that would take some time". Um, have you met your job?! This is what you are paid to do!! Swimwear: they are located next to Sunglass Hut or whatever sunglass store is stationed there. When you ask someone for help they clearly say "we do not work for Macy's and good luck finding someone to help you in swimwear". Um, no need to be rude! Lift your fat finger and make a call to FIND help for a customer regardless of whether you are part of Macy's or not...sheesh Career wear on 2: Me: "do you have this in my size"? No, that's in the wrong place/doesn't belong on this floor and you have to go downstairs to find it yourself. I am busy". Meanwhile, its crickets and she is "busy" hanging clothes back up on the hanger...this does not mean you can't call downstairs instead of making a customer go back and forth. These are just a few examples from ONE day, ONE trip. I have many from multiple visits here that are pretty much the same, crappy experience every time. I experienced great customer service at Macy's last week in multiple departments--I should hope so since I spent a lot of money there. First I entered the dress department looking for a Rachel Roy number my sister wants for her Birthday. I knew the dress wasn't on sale in the store, but it was marked down online, so I printed out the webpage to prove it to the cashier. She not only gave me the online discount but also let me use my 20% off rewards coupon. Then I moseyed into the home section to look for a wedding gift. I'd already printed off the registry but found the lack of SKU numbers and item descriptions confusing. A staff member, Mattie I think, immediately approached me and helped me find the OXO grill tools I was looking for, ensuring the utensil styles matched those on the registry. THEN Mattie helped me find the Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner I've been dreaming of for months--it was more than $100 off in the store! She let me take the sample vacuum off the floor and make sure the "ball" feature truly makes the machine more maneuverable...and then she gave me a demo of all the vacuum's amazing tools. I was disappointed that my rewards coupon didn't apply to that purchase, as electronics are excluded, but I was still happy with the discounted price. I loathe driving to Buckhead, especially in rush hour traffic after work, but a shopping excursion to Macy's is worth the hike. read more

I was so excited when I found out that the Lenox Mall Macy's had a spa and salon. I always look for reasons to do everything I need to do in one store. Unfortunately the experience was horrible. Went into Premier Salon at noon to schedule a mani/pedi. The lady at the counter said she had appointments from 2pm on. I made my appointment for 3:45pm and even confirmed as I put it in my phone calendar. I arrived at 3:30 and was told "Oh we just called you and marked you as a no show". Confusedly I responded my appointment is at 3:45. The lady had put it in for 2:30. I was all set to leave but they said they would fit me in if I did the express mani/pedi. I said okay. I should have left. First I were gel on my hands which I'm assuming they don't deal with on a regular basis because when I asked the lady to soak my hands as she did my pedicure she looked confused. She then left for 10 minutes and came back with a bowl of acetone. My pedicure went on without a hitch but as she checked on my hand she would use her nails to remove the gel, literally scratching the polish off. That should have been my 2nd clue. Once she got done clawing my polish off she quickly "filed" my nails. She didn't cut my cuticles or ask if I wanted my nails cut down. She just started painting. Now remember when I said she "filed" my nails well, as my paint began to dry I could she ridges all through it. My nail beds had not been filed pretty much at all and you could see all her scratch marks on my nails. When I said something about it she said well your nails are thin and I don't want to hurt you. Ummm WTF? I've been getting my nails done for almost 15 years and had never had anyone not smooth out my nail beds. Mind you my nail have been thin my entire life. I told her I apreciated her concern but the polish does not look right and she needed to do something else. She told me to wait for the 2nd coat and it would look better. I agreed but even after the 2nd coat it was clearly not right. She did offer to remove it all and do it again but I had a plane to catch and frankly was over it by that point. This was done on 10/16 and I got the Vinyl which is supposed to last at least a week. It is the 20th and my nails look crazy and are all chipping. I have never had this experience with Vinyl. Then they had the nerve to charge me $75 and ask if I was tipping?! No ma'am. I though about returning and having them fix it but who has time for that. I simply won't be utilizing their services again. read more

I only meant to stop by, say hello to a few of the fancy, expensive time pieces, and maybe pet one or two and call it a day. However, nope, I was sucked in by the magnificent luster of their little bitty clock hearts. The sales woman behind the counter wasn't any help either; her excellent knowledge of the products in my price range and her friendly smile made me swoon even harder. Bad customer experience has left me avoiding this store and potentially leaving the Macy's brand for good. The store used to be great to buy at and I have been a big fan of the Macy's brand for years. What won me to the Macy's brand was customer experience and customer service which the brand has long delivered. Unfortunately, while some of the employees are friendly and work with you, there is this one older gentleman in a suit that is often rude and confrontational to customers and just ruins the whole experience leaving a bad taste in almost everyone's mouth. At times I am shocked as to why this person is even being kept. Gives off quite a creepy vibe, especially around women, and makes the experience very uncomfortable when shopping. Something has to be done about this sort of thing, Macy's as a brand is too good for this. read more

Honestly I don't know what is happening to Macy's, its disappointing. I feel like the past few years the service and clothes have been going down hill. I am back in Macy's pocket, but it has taken a while. I guess the recession has some good points. A year ago, I could have fallen down dead in the middle of Macy's Lenox Square and if an employee had happened by, she would have stepped right over my body. I have had such outrageous experiences with that store, I swore I wouldn't be back again. I shopped at Parisien, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdale's, but avoided Macy's. Parisien and L&T are gone. Bloomie's no longer caters to my taste or my pocketbook. Macy's has somehow learned the art of customer service, and the store now stocks my size more than any other dept. store. I feel like royalty there. The lingerie lady measured me for a bra! I've gotten actual fashion advice from sales people! And gift advice! They have a very liberal return policy. There are always deep discounts, and there is a good rewards program with their credit card. Macy's has found a way to reverse the decline of the department store, at least in my book. read more

I must tell your store how very delighted I am with your service. Your salesman doug in mens fine suits and slacks is quite a fine person in our time of need and sadness. A young lady Meneesha also helped so much to find items while doug measured my hard-to-fit son. He showed such kindness and compassion in selecting an appropriate suit for my son who is quite heavy and difficult to fit, and more important for my husbands funeral suit which was so very emotional for me. I was in such a state I tell you. It fit perfectly only from me telling doug his weight and height! This nice man showed such tenderness in every aspect of his service that really helped me get through the day. He was quick and he went as far as to hold my hand when he saw I was getting emotional telling him about my late husband Jerome. Those are the little things that make Macys the great store we all know. Few people in your store match this professionalism these days. Susana in men's shoes is outstanding. I bought a pair of dress shoes here in awhile ago and got the wrong size. Since then, I have lost the receipt and have not been able to make it by the mall. I called and ahead and said everything would be fine to make the exchange, as long as I had the debit and/or credit card I used to make the purchase. So, when I brought the shoes to the counter, we tried proceeding forward with the exchange. Unfortunately, when they could not find documentation of the purchase. Susana came to the rescue and said they needed to scan a pair of the same size shoes. When they did, documentation popped immediately. Following that she guided me to a new pair of shoe laces (which are harder to find than you would expect). Either way, it was a great experience and I think Susana deserves a lot of credit. I walked in without and appointment to get my brows done. I cannot remember her name but it was this real friendly black woman. WHY DID SHE HOOK THE BROWS UP AND HAD GOOD CONVO!!! Also, I had a demo with the talented and beautiful Elisha Beacham at MAC on the other side of Macy's, this girl was the illest. She so enthusiastic! [Writing this review on behalf of a friend who doesn't have a Yelp account] I came here today to pick up some sheets. There were some issues with using a gift card in conjunction with a Macy's credit card, but the sales associate figured that part out after some time, no problem. At the end of the transaction, the computer froze & my receipt could not print. The sales associate asked another associate on the floor for help but they couldn't figure it out & called for a manager to assist. We waited a little over 10 minutes until another sales associate walked by & asked my sales associate if she was okay (The manager never came by the way) My sales associate told the other associate that she was not okay because the computer froze & she couldn't get it to work & had been waiting on a manager to assist. So the other sales associate comes over & asks me how I normally get my receipt. I told her I wanted a printed receipt. She repeated her question & I repeated my answer. She then says "that's not the question I asked you but okay." Hm That caught me off guard. Her voice was "nice" but her disposition was very off putting & negative. Prior to her coming over, I & my sales associate were patiently waiting for a manager without issue. Perhaps this other sales associate assumed that I was giving my sales associate a hard time about the computer being frozen so she came over with whatever complex she had & decided to be the big bad wolf, idk. So after the other sales associate rudely says "that's not the question I asked you but okay," I told her that I don't shop at Macy's so I don't normally get my receipt in any form. (I was shopping for a relative who could not risk being in the mall during COVID because she's a senior citizen). Her original question was irrelevant & her repeating her irrelevant question was unnecessary. At that point it didn't matter what type of receipt I normally got, because I told her that I wanted a paper receipt that day (mainly because there were issues with the gift card processing earlier & I wanted to make sure everything went through). The other sales associate begins rebooting the system & moves to another computer to help other customers. My sales associate and I wait another 10 minutes for the system to reboot. While I continue to patiently wait... the other sales associate for one reason or another decides to force dialogue on me (after being unnecessarily combative moments before) She asks me (another irrelevant question) "what form of payment did you use?" I almost didn't answer her because I could tell she doesn't get much attention & was needing some that day & obviously likes to antagonize people, but I answered her & said "a Macy's card" she then said "thank you" in a very condescending sort of tone. It was all very weird & left me feeling very unsettled, so much so that I'm writing this review. I'm a fairly laid back individual & don't expect a whole lot as a customer. I just like to grab my items & go but this lady gave BAD vibes. The sales associate with the nasty disposition was named GiGi. My sales associate was gracious & kind... her name is LaKendra. The store is very clean and very well managed from an aesthetic standpoint. I have to give it to them there. However, concerning customer service, there has to be some heat applied to management. I see scowls, eye rolls, and solid effort toward avoiding eye contact with customers. It's really such a shame because these jobs were coveted in my day. I worked in Macy's, Robinson's May, AND Windsor Fashions when I was younger and the standards were HIGH for us. No sitting, excessive casual chatting, or eating on your station or on the clock. We weren't even allowed to chew gum where I worked. It's CUSTOMER service, NOT the other way around. These employees are not greeting customers and they also seem to be disturbed by customers when they dare approach the counter and "interrupt" their conversation. SMH. I am usually only in a mall to get directions on how to get away from there. I hate malls. I hate shopping. I hate crowds of sober people and being sober in said crowds. I do not have a huge problem with Macy's though, they seem to be about the same as every other department store. I go in one maybe once a year because I need something or because there is a ridiculous sale. This time it was the latter. Macy's was selling the Dyson DC18 for $149 closeout. The normal retail price on this was around $500. I had been looking for a good vacuum and this seemed to be an incredible deal. Normally I would order it on their website, but the website closeout price was $300 so I had to venture into the store. Surprisingly the store was not that busy, though I did go the week before Christmas during the afternoon, not after 9-5 hours were over. I had all my paper work and part numbers prepared. I am glad I did too, because Macy's computer system cannot look up an item if you do not have the UPC. The lady in housewares said they did not have it in stock (I already knew that). I asked her if she could help me in ordering it from the warehouse. She said they could not do that (I knew they could). I said okay and went directly to customer service. The guy there looked very much like David K. It threw me off at first. He was very glad to help me order the item. He remarked at how awesome a deal it was. I suggested he place an order for himself right after I leave. I tired to use the 20% off coupon, which he was willing to use, but the computer did not let him because it was an excluded item. Oh well, I was pretty sure it would not work anyway. I did get them to give me free shipping as I told them their website was offering free shipping on orders over $100 and I had a copy of a receipt from someone online who had gotten them to take off shipping as well. The manager was nice and took it off. It said it would ship within six days and it shipped the next day on UPS ground from Phoenix. My delivery date is the 24th and I will definitely be vacuuming on Christmas haha. Very nice people work here, but some of them are pretty incompetent, but I was guessing they were only working there for a few weeks for the holidays and did not know the computer system that well. Minus one star for having a different price online than in store. It is scary and cold outside. I like ordering from the warmth of my room. read more

Where else can I randomly have a Tommy Hilfiger shirt signed by TOMMY HILFIGER HIMSELF? Where else can I get free samples of Lush, M.A.C. and others WITHOUT MAKING A PURCHASE? Nowhere, that's where! This locations is much nicer than the Macy's that I am used to back home, and I truly always enjoy my visits here. And the sales people- super nice. One time I bought a watch for my friend here as a present, but after she tried it one she realized that it was a little too big. I took it back to the watch counter and the lady was glad to help! Customer service is important to me, and, so far, I haven't had a negative experience here. And the store always looks amazing. Clean and well stocked. Definitely one of the best Macy's I have ever been too (third only to the one in Center City Philadelphia, where I am from, and Macy's Herold Square, in NYC). This Macy's use to be the epitome of service. Now it is dated and the employees could care less about customer service. A few of the employees actually are into their jobs and are interested in making sales. But the majority are there just to punch the clock. My daughter wanted a pair of sliders for summer so we visited the Finish Line within the store. The 4-5 employees were not around the floor assisting customers, they were all gathered back behind the cash register socializing and laughing. I had to approach a salesclerk to request a size. She just gave me the box, no follow up as to if they fit properly or offer any other assistance. 20 years ago this Macy's us not notch, but it's sadly, it's gone downhill. I shopped the Macys at Lenox in the ladies shoe department. was there to do a return on a pair of boots. Yes, the boots were slightly worn, however, they were just to uncomfortable to walk in more than a few minutes. I went to the shoe department and immediately the sales associate said , "oh no"; very unprofessional. I had already informed the associate that they were worn and uncomfortable. The dept. manager, Joyce and the store manager were both involved. However, they went back and forth with each other and instead Joyce did nothing and told me to call the store manager on the next day which was incompetent of them and waste of my time & very poor customer service. I felt like I was stereo typed. The dept. mgr and store mgr. was unprofessional and the store manager did not follow through as she said she would after I had spoken with her on the next day. Sadly , i just discovered today why Macy's online is hemorrhaging customers to companies like Amazon and you can add one more to the list...ME I've been a loyal Macy's customer for years and when the opportunity came to order this bed from Macy's i jumped on it. Macy's violated my dream of having a comfortable place to lay my head on my Skyline Marcone bed after a hard's day work in my new home. I ordered the bed on Nov 2nd and I was told it would ship on Nov. 30th. Also, I paid with my debit card thought the transaction posted to my account ($1,023) but apparently not. The bed was shipped on Nov 20. but when they delivered we don't know. Because it was simply dropped off in front of my garage. They never rang the bell or knocked on the door...A king size bed!! When we took a quick trip to the store there is the box busted open outside on the ground. Insult to injury in ..... Customer service supervisor asked if me if it was really damaged and could I live with it. ($1,023). I replied "no". Also, the payment for the bed came out of my account on Nov. 20 instead of the 2nd. Again, not told about when payment would charge to account. I couldn't be more disappointed. I simply wanted the bed delivered with damage and a good price. I've actually checked and the bed is better priced elsewhere. I guess it pays to truly shop around. Everybody always wants to get on Jeff Bezos for taking over the market but the reason they are allowed to do that is because they provide impeccable service . Ordered a suit on line for in store pick up. Arranged to have my son pick up the suit- when he got there he was told he was not "allowed" to pick up the suit because he wasn't the credit card holder. It took several phone calls and a multitude of rude passive-aggressive customer service reps before I finally found 1 salesperson ( 2 days ) later who understood that the suit was a gift for my son who lived in Atlanta- I live in DC. Prior to that I experienced customer service reps at corporate who actually hung up on me! Sales people who just left me on hold. I have shopped at Macy's for 30 years- never again. read more

I had a WONDERFUL experience at the Macy's at Lenox Square today. This morning, I logged on to my Macy's account online to order a dress and, unfortunately, discovered that someone else (I didn't know) wanted to use my account, as well. I promptly called Macy's to get things sorted out and they helped fix the fraud, but also had to cancel my Macy's card, which meant that I was unable to place my order online. This left me in an interesting predicament when I HAD to go to the store to purchase my dress. I really do not enjoy "in person" shopping. The parking, the browsing, the people, the whole thing is not enjoyable to me. Today, all of those things were not only pleasant, but somewhat enjoyable because of the associates at Macy's. I got a great-ish parking space and was on my way. Once inside, I discovered a HUGE store! Holy moly is it big. Luckily, the associates are great at noticing when someone looks lost and were happy to come ask if I needed help finding something. I made my way to the dress section (with the help of three different associates) and then was assisted by an associate in that section who was great. She found me wandering in the petites section (I'm 5'10"......) and got me back on track in the right area. I was able to find the exact dress I wanted to buy online, which was awesome. Once in line, and associate rang up my purchase IN LINE with an iphone! How great! I was even able to use my Macy's account with my driver's license, which was my big concern after my card was cancelled. She also apologized that I had that happen, and was quite sincere with the apology. She helped me figure out which coupon would be most beneficial to me, whcih I always appreciate, too. There was a great sale in the shoe department, so I checked that out, as well. I had a similarly great experience in the shoe department with a super efficient "ordering" system for the shoe I wanted to try on. Despite the department being extremely busy, my shoes came out quickly, and I was able to purchase in line again. And, again, a very genuine apology about my Macy's account being hacked (I purchased someone in Oregon quite a nice blender). On my way out of the store, I had several people help get me in the right direction without feeling like they thought I was an idiot for getting lost in Macy's (but really, it is huge and easy to get lost). This is a great store and I hope leadership for this location sees this review. You have a great staff and I look forward to coming back soon. read more

I will never go this Macy's ever again. Twice it different times when the sales associates treat me like I'm invisible or I'm not worthy to shop there. Just because I have on a GSU sweatshirt and jeans or just a t-shirt does not mean I can't afford anything. The sales associates will walk right past me and say hi or how may I help you to a person right next to me. I really don't like to pull out the race card, but I'm not stupid, I know whats going on. Worst customer service. It's near impossible to find anyone to check out. All these registers unattended. It's always the same. And when you find someone they tell you a)it's not my area or b) I'll be right back and then they disappear. No wonder people are turning to Amazon. read more

This store is horrible! Used to be great...but now every time I go in there the place is a total mess. There are clothes everywhere, stuff is disorganized, racks are out of place with empty hangers on them, items littering the floor, etc... As someone who has worked in retail before I can tell you this is a failure not only of the associates who work the individual departments but ultimately of management. How can any manager walk those floors and see those departments in disarray like that? It is downright shameful! Macy's should get their act together!! read more

Worst organized Macy's I've ever seen in my life!! Nothing in the sale rack was where it was supposed to be, none of the sizes were organized, and none of the hangers matched with the sizes of the clothes that were hanging on them! Wasted an hour before I left in frustration! read more

The BEST Macy's I've ever been in, hands down, and I've been in quite a few. They have an astounding Plus Size (Women's) and Petite's departments. I find things here that I can't find anywhere else. Plus, everyone knows Macy's has amazing sales. If you haven't been to this location, you just gotta! read more
