Absolutely love this Neiman Marcus and this was our first visit here. This is located in the Lennox Square mall and if you get there early enough, you can actually find free parking. Rather than being forced to do a valet. This particular day, we literally parked a few steps away from the door to the store. And after walking in was well greeted by the Chanel team. Two of my Neiman Marcus stores near my home in my state do not carry Chanel anymore, and I have to go down into the city to get it. In this case, I literally got to walk in and it was immediately helped by Daisy, who was fantastic. We did Peruse the rest of the store, obviously and it's so great to see the diversity of Breanne's product lines and styles here in Atlanta versus in Illinois. Neiman Marcus is definitely my go too for Fragrance! This particular visit I purchased Mancera Instant Crush! Classic smell and always a hit! Kinda embarrassed but I normally would buy fragrance from Sephora or Macy's however Neiman Marcus is my new Go To! Stop hovering, staring, and looking someone up and down in the fragrance part of the store!! When are businesses going to learn, if someone wants help for a fragrance they can then ask for it. This does not encourage a sell. It makes the customer feel uncomfortable and rushed. I would like to smell new fragrances and form my own opinions and if I want recommendations then I'll ask. I am not sure why these companies are spending so much money on sale representatives to force conversation with people. Its Neiman's so while most things are so far out of my price range, I can always find something here when I want to splurge or wear something designer. In the past couple months, I've been in a little more often than in years past and while I don't think that I've been immediately greeted, once I get a sales person attention, they are helpful and eager to make the sale without the pressure that comes with high end luxury sales. I often wonder why people come to high end luxury stores and then act shocked at the price tags, I over heard a lady say there was no way she was paying $700 for a pair slides and while thats understandable, why come in here to look at $700 slides? They have both visible security and and plain clothes officers in addition to off duty police officers securing the store, so it always feels like a safe shopping environment, but if you are uncomfortable, they will get a security office to walk you to your car. read more

First time at this location and it will be my last. The fragrance department treated at me in such an unpleasant manner. I've never felt so unwelcome and discriminated by the staff. The fragrance department at this location has the expected incredible selection that you'd expect from Neiman Marcus, but Irina and the brand reps that helped us went the extra mile as we spent 90 minutes finding new scents. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, and never pressured us in any way. Clearly communicated stock issues on selections we were hesitant about. Not only did we leave with fragrances we enjoyed, we will return for years to come. Truly the best of what Neiman Marcus has to offer in terms of customer experience. Neiman Marcus is at the pinnacle when it comes to high end shopping. They carry almost every luxury brand that you can think of. I came in today specifically to exchange a fragrance. If you're into unique, niche fragrances, look no further. They have Kilian, Tom Ford, Parfums de Marly, Maison Francis Kurdijan, Initio and Amouge just to name a few. I did like the fragrance that my fiancé purchased for me (Bitter Peach by Tom Ford), but I wasn't blown away. I came in with the idea that if I found something I loved, I'd get it. I was almost immediately greeted by the nicest, most enthusiastic sales associate. I wish I would've gotten her name. I told her the types of fragrances that I liked and she patiently guided me around the counters to test some out. Perfumes are a big deal to me and I like what best fits my body chemistry. I ended up purchasing a beautiful fragrance by Initio. Sometimes at these types of retailers sales people can be impatient and pretentious, but that wasn't my experience at all. I really like Neiman Marcus and chooses NM over Saks 5th since I really like the household department at Neiman Marcus. Staffs at NM, be it at the beauty/shoes/household are all nice and helpful. The décor and ambience are always beautiful. The store always have the best variety of holiday sweets and food items in December. At this moment, my tiny gripe is the gift wrapping section. Pros at this location are that it's clean and easy to shop through. Sections are clearly marked and it has nice decor and displays. We shopped through the baby area as there was a really fun little car in the area and I wanted a closer look. The staff members all but ignored us as we walked through. We didn't need any help, but they didn't welcome us and didn't offer any help either. One of them was busy with a customer, the other two we passes were not. They carry high end brand name items. Let's just say that one of the brand name 100% cotton t-shirts for a six month old baby was $270. Yes. You read that right. So, needless to say we didn't get that one. LOL. The NM cafe is not bad at all. For being a department store restaurant, I'd always come back. Great service. Great atmosphere. Good food. Around 1140AM two other table were seated. Quiet. Relaxing. Comfortable. Can seat large groups but probably better not to. F O O D Complimentary bread and strawberry cream(?): Bread is airy and the creamy jam is fantastic. Complimentary chicken soup: really good! Hot. Tasty. Just soup, no other ingredients in the soup. Grilled filet mignon $32: comes w parmesan truffle fries which are amazing! Beautifully fried and meaty. The filet mignon I asked for medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. I received a necktie purchased online from Neiman Marcus as a gift from a friend. Enclosed with the package was a gift receipt so I could return the necktie to Neiman Marcus for store credit or exchange the necktie for a different style necktie of equal value. I decided to do the latter. I went to Neiman Marcus at Lenox Square and was directed by one of the sales staff to Customer Service located on the top floor. If facing the mall entrance on the top floor of Neiman Marcus, Customer Service is tucked away and hidden down a hallway to the right. It's next to the restrooms. Before going up to Customer Service, I went downstairs to the bottom level (men's section) to pick out an equal-value necktie for the swap. At Customer Service, I was seen by Keshia Weaver. She was polite and helpful. I told her exactly what I wanted to do (a simple exchange), but it ended up taking longer than we expected. The reason it took longer than expected is because the necktie purchased online was ringing up as less expensive than the necktie I found in-store. The necktie purchased online was purchased at a discount or using a promotional offer. Understanding my situation, Keshia called Department Manager Randall Little who appeared in about five minutes. At first, Randall wouldn't honor my exchange request because the gift necktie was ringing up as less expensive than the in-store necktie. However, I explained I found the exact same necktie as my gift necktie in-store in the same bin as the necktie I picked out to exchange. In other words, these neckties were the same brand and general style and all were priced the same at full retail value. Upon learning this, Randall pulled out his iPhone, launched a Neiman Marcus app, and scanned the tags of the necktie I picked out in-store and the necktie I had received as a gift. The prices matched. Randall authorized Keshia to honor the swap. Due to tax and other mathematical issues I wasn't entirely privy to on the Neiman Marcus computer (Keshia and Randall spent a few minutes trying to figure it out), I ended up getting the tie I wanted plus a Neiman Marcus gift card with 13 cents on it. The exchange took about 25-30 minutes. I didn't mind the wait too much since I wasn't in a rush, but I did think it was a bit excessive for a basic transaction. My first experience at this Neiman Marcus was in my early twenties when I had saved for a couple of months for a bottle of Oriens perfume by Van Cleef and Arpels. It was made exclusively for Neiman and couldn't be purchased anywhere else. I remembered being nervous about walking into such an exclusive department store but those nerves were calmed as soon as I meet a lovely older blonde woman at the perfume counter right by the entrance. She not only commended me on being able to save up but she actually gave me a free beautiful bag full of samples and products along with my purchase. (Apparently they had some kind of perfume/beauty event a few days ago and they gave away a nice bag full of samples and products. The one she gave me were extra ones that they had) She also showed me a couple of other perfumes that smell similarly and gave me samples of them to try. It was one of the best retail experiences I think I ever had.... Fast forward years later...and I have to say Neiman is still the same. Got sent to the "second floor" bc that's where this brand was. Was told to use the elevator. On the second floor was told to go to the "first floor" bc the second floor is actually the third floor...I dunno, makes no sense. Lenox mall is not underground, but okay. This alone is super annoying, JUST RETURN THE SHIRT. You're a high end department store! Their excuse is "management wants us to return thing in the department they were bought." Okay, first, nothing in your store is less than $100, someone can WALK the shirt to the proper department. It's called "customer service". So lazy. So then I go to the "first floor". To the correct department. One lady is in the phone, personal call, pays me ZERO attention. Looks me in the eye, zero F* given. Second lady is "helping someone else", okay fine but find someone to help me?!? There aren't that many customers in the store... honestly. I had to like walk around to find someone to help me. Piss poor service. Takes some lessons from Nordstrom. They are freaking amazing! Return anything anywhere, no lazy people on the phone, on personal calls, not helping at all. Ugh. Well I guess this store will now be written off my list. I've been getting badgered with e-mails from that same salesman who sold me my perfume about 6 months ago. I got a call from the store about a new fragrance and since I don't live near a Neiman Marcus I requested a sample. He couldn't make me one since they weren't given any. So what's wrong with opening a bottle and making it a tester? Descriptions don't cut it with me with fragrances since I must try it on my skin to see if I'm happy with it. He sent me a different sample from a different line. Took about a week to get it. I tried it and since my skin was sensitive I had a mild reaction to it. I called him on this matter and he told me that the scent wasn't for me, he had other customers to attend to and I'll just have to wait. Sorry but I am a customer too. LONG POST ALERT! But please read. I purchased a pair of sneakers online but unfortunately l had to return them because they were damaged and appeared to have been worn. I don't have a have a Neiman Marcus in my state so l convinced my husband to take me to Atlanta so l could shop in person. Big mistake. I explained to the salesman why l was returning them and he sent me to customer service because l was approximately 15-20 days past the 30 day return policy. It went down hill from there, not because they refused to return the damaged $500 shoes but because of the callousness in their tone when they spoke to me. They responded in a very demeaning and sarcastic way when l was trying to explain why I was returning the shoes. I felt so belittled and embarrassed that I immediately left the STATE! Their attitudes seemed so deliberately rude and full of disdain, as if when l walked away, feeling totally defeated, they gave each other a high five. I'm a tough women but sharing my experience with a girlfriend l cried. Not because I'm weak but because regardless of how we present ourselves some will always prejudge us based on preconceived notion's that are the farthest from the truth. We spend too much of our hard earned dollars to look beautiful, feel gorgeous, to express our style and sometimes (unfortunately) to prove that we are worthy of respect and none of us should feel like l felt in Neiman Marcus. This NM location is great for menswear. Most luxury designers are represented here, including specialty brands from Japan and Italy. Neiman Marcus has recently remodeled and reset their entire men's department, and it's nice to see the clean, bright displays with a variety of beautiful clothing and accessories. There are two gems in this store: Björn Schülke's kinetic sculpture suspended from the ceiling over cosmetics on 1, and Paul Hunter, a sales associate in menswear. The first is almost worth the trip into the store if you're walking around the mall and need a diversion. Björn Schülke's made a lot of other installations, and this is one of the smallest but still has all the elements Schülke is known for: video screens, robotics, movement, and sound & light. As for Paul, he's a Scot who made the effort to sell and entertain me. I didn't buy anything too expensive here, and Paul went out of his way to talk Atlanta, the store's merchandise, the mall, and why he likes working for the store and what drew him from so far away to a Southern U.S. city. He made my trip to this mall and to Neiman Marcus memorable. read more

I have shopped at this store for 30 years. Recently, I spent almost $250 on makeup. One product irritated my eyes, so I took it back. They refused to take it back, saying I had used it and it was their policy to not take it back, even if it irritated my eyes. I asked to speak to the manager. He refused to refund the $45 or so that the makeup cost. I asked him if he was willing to lose a 30 year customer over this, and he just said, "If we do it for you, we'll have to do it for everyone." I went here to buy a gift ( a belt) for my husband. The sales person was really nice and helped me find the right one. He asked me a lot of questions about what my husband likes to wear etc and recommended few options. I ended up choosing one and my husband loved it. I can't believe that I seem to have the opposite experience with Saks and Neiman from other reviewers. The NM contemporary clothing section has nice, helpful SAs, as do the ones at Saks. However, the shoe department at NM has the most inattentive and cold SAs who have the ability to instantly kill any desire to buy shoes. I know, it seems almost impossible that my desire to buy shoes could be killed ever, but it happened at NM. I have literally walk around the shoe department 4 to 5 laps while there was just 1 other customer in the area, and none of the 6 SAs offered any help, looked at me, smiled or said anything. They seemed engrossed in chit chat with each other. And when I actually tried asking for help, they showed zero desire to sell shoes. The reason I usually enjoy a high end department store is mostly for the welcoming, warm, and awesome customer service. This NM's shoe department has failed a lot at this. This review is specifically for the Gucci stand at Neiman Marcus: I've been there a few times and unfortunately and if you are lucky only ONE associate greets you or acknowledge you when you get there. Most of the time they have an unwelcoming face, don't even greet you and are always busy on their phone. To make the experience worse, for the 2nd time they offered water to ONLY one customer when there are others in the store.... really? What kind of customer service is this? You don't know who's at that store? To me that's been prejudiced and make others feel uncomfortable. This time there was a lady next to me and we just look at each other in disbelief and the lady left. They need employees with better customer service skills and work ethics. My entire family will never shop with this company ever again. Repeatedly I have called to make a purchase over the phone on multiple occasions and the last time I was physically in the store. As I called to do an item check I was given the run around as the sales associates sat and let the phone ring, as I watched and sat on the phone for 30 minutes someone picks up the phone and acts like they were searching for the shoe and shortly hung up the phone. Not to mention no one paid enough attention to realize I was in the store the entire time watching this happen! It's ridiculous.
