I have posted a similar review about Saks. This store has a great way of impressing/disappointing you. At times you think, "great job." Other times you swear to never return. Let me start by saying find a good sales associate and stick with them, there are some really horrible ones here. I dont know how they keep their jobs... The mens casual wear is so-so but they have a great suit selection. They have a small home section that needs a wider selection, they have some good sales associates there. The perfumes are great, I especially love Houbigant, and the sales lady that was there is amazing, as well as the Cartier representative. Other than that...it is what it is. Some hate it, some love it, then there are the rest of us who loathe it. read more

This review is specifically for the Gucci stand at Neiman Marcus: I've been there a few times and unfortunately and if you are lucky only ONE associate greets you or acknowledge you when you get there. Most of the time they have an unwelcoming face, don't even greet you and are always busy on their phone. To make the experience worse, for the 2nd time they offered water to ONLY one customer when there are others in the store.... really? What kind of customer service is this? You don't know who's at that store? To me that's been prejudiced and make others feel uncomfortable. This time there was a lady next to me and we just look at each other in disbelief and the lady left. They need employees with better customer service skills and work ethics. Coming from GUCCI to me this is unacceptable. To be fair, I didn't said anything before in my other visits giving them the benefit of the doubt because we all have a day that we are not at our best. My entire family will never shop with this company ever again. Repeatedly I have called to make a purchase over the phone on multiple occasions and the last time I was physically in the store. As I called to do an item check I was given the run around as the sales associates sat and let the phone ring, as I watched and sat on the phone for 30 minutes someone picks up the phone and acts like they were searching for the shoe and shortly hung up the phone. Not to mention no one paid enough attention to realize I was in the store the entire time watching this happen! It's ridiculous. But I'm sure my review will be overlooked because what's one unsatisfied customer right? Nothing is ever done unless it makes headlines. The company nor the employees care at all! read more

When I shop at Neiman Marcus, I like to pretend like I am the grown up "Eloise" from New York's Plaza Hotel - I get to buy classy, sophisticated designer clothes I would be wearing if I lived at the Plaza Hotel for prices that make less of a hole in my clothing budget! They have great sales and their new "Cusp" section is much more affordable and really great for trendy everyday wear. I also love their Theory selection - I prefer it to the Theory store even in Phipps Plaza! So, if you haven't yet, give yourself some time to peruse the racks at Neiman Marcus; you'll probably find a great deal that makes you feel like you shouldn't be driving around your SUV in Atlanta but being chauffered around Manhattan! read more

If had hero star I'll give. I'm their loyal customer for many years specially this location near my house. I never have to go to their customer service. But today's my first time I need to return the perfume I bought online. First, I asked the security guy where customer service is. He used his hand to point out don't even say a word. When I was at customer service have 2 people there one sat on work at working table, one sat on the couch opposite. The guy on the couch asked me what do I need. I was so confused that he worked there. And he said I couldn't return my item cause it been opened. And the lady on the table said no too. I'm not angry because I couldn't return it. But both of them seen I'm Asian don't understand English they spoke louder and louder. Both are sitting while I'm standing between them. They are not rude but very attitude to me. Not even standing or greeting or the first sentence : how May I help you instead of what do you need? I don't know how they are been training. 3 people they are all Africa American. As an Asian customer who spending thousand and thousand dollars for Neiman and have experience at their customer service in very first time. I'm so totally disappointed. They are selling high end products but they customer service is lower than anything. Plenty of stylish customers which makes for good people watching. Signature silver gift wrapping available. Delicious NM Cafe is on the lower level. Their rewards program can be used in conjunction with Bergdorf Goodman (NY or online) purchases. Interesting to note, the Neiman Marcus Group also owns www.mytheresa.com. An online retailer offering over 180 international designers and shipping worldwide. Highly recommend this site as well as a visit to Neiman's. 5-stars if they had a better children's section and athletic offerings. read more

Oct 22,2017 i will not purchase a tea pot from Neiman Marcus on line as a gift for my sisters birthday.The Mckenzie tea pot glass ornament broke after 60 days.Its is difficulte to take off now and can not be used.Cost $135.00 They will not let her return for exchange. Neiman Marcus normally would exchange for another at a local store. This time she tried to take back to Boca Raton, Fl store. They told her sorry. to late.This is not acceptable. They know how to make the manufacturer credit. Any other store you could expect, not Neiman Marcus.I have one also. The iside is coated enamel. The inside spout started to rust. I called the local store in Atlanta, Ga They gladly returned for exchange. It is your choice what to do. I will vote with my pocketbook and not.It might be better to buy from the manufacturer direct. The jewelry section closes at 5:30....5-freaking-30!?! When there are super-fancy watches selling until 9pm at the Tourneau across the mall? Seriously? Are they only selling jewelry and watches to housewives? And, the employees (who are chatting with each other because there's not a single person in the store other than us) could care less about the fact that you drove an hour and a half to get to the store and their counter closed 3.5 hours early "because it's really hard to have to put up all that jewelry"... I would give zero stars if possible for the salespeople I've encountered with the exception of one salesperson. I went there to look at a jacket in the Contemporary Women's Clothing department. Natasha Stephens was very helpful, multi tasked while acknowledging me and helping another customer. She followed through with assisting me, found the item in the size I wanted and I was thoroughly happy. I opened a NM account. Unfortunately, I had to return the jacket because it didn't fit me across the shoulders. I went back to the store on Sunday Sept. 23, fully intending to purchase another jacket and I was also interested in other items. I got an associate in the Theory area with blue glasses and a denim shirt. She was helpful until, mid-way through helping me, she saw a more valuable client come in and took off. I was left standing there with my jacket that I wanted in another size. So I went to the counter where another associate was on the phone and waited for her to finish her call. She was clearly not on the phone with another customer, but made me wait anyway. I thought a customer standing in front of you was more important than some internal store business. When she finally got off the phone, I asked for the jacket in another size. She hung it on a rack and said "When the other associate comes back, she can look for you." She went about her other business and I was left standing there again. I looked around for awhile and did make decisions on what to purchase, but no one was there to help me. The first associate returned to the department and asked if I had made a decision. I said "Yes, I want to return the jacket and I don't want to get anything else at this time." I then went to Bloomingdales and bought a Theory faux fur jacket and a pair of pants from an associate who wanted to help me. I am closing my NM account. My money is as good as anyone else's there and they don't deserve to get it. I normally shop online, but when I go to the trouble to go to a store, I expect service. read more

I came here to return a wedding present we had not registered for. I went to customer service, explained that I wanted to return the item just for store credit. Another person walked up behind me and they told me to wait and they were going to help her first. Um, ok... 10 min later, they came back to me, worked on looking up a sku and it happened again, another person walked into line and they told me to wait... long story short, 45 min after I had been waiting they finally just told me to go to the department where the item was purchased. The manager that they called 20 min prior was clearly not coming. I went down to the department where the manager was, she was quite short with me, especially when I asked how long it would be, explaining that I had already waited 45 minutes. She curtly said, as long as it takes. Now I know that I didn't have a receipt (as it was a gift) but for a store that is as highly regarded as this one, I would have expected better. They eventually (1 hr 15 minutes) later gave me a gift card for the value of the item (which by the way was still for sale on their shelves that day). Had I known it would have taken that long to get a return, I would never have done it. Very disappointed with the service here. read more

SHOES AND BAGS! I came into this store with the sole purpose of looking at their shoes. Well, this department store was a total disappointment because it just did not have a nice varied selection. The shoes were either very fashion forward, (limited wear-ability) and flat or they were 3-4 inch heels, (impractical). I like having options and there just weren't enough options available today. Their outlet stores are much better. I did enjoy their selection of nice leather bags that were nicely displayed but tethered so that you could not fully try them out. I was able to handle them and check out their nice features. They had beautiful Chloe bags, (nice leather and designs), that were just perfect except that the party was only on the inside. I like to have pockets and compartments on the outside of the bag as well so that I can organize accordingly. They also had this oddly shaped leather bag that looked just like a lunch bag but with one handle so that it hung very awkwardly from the shoulder. It did have a long convertible strap but I still needed it to have two handles for stability. Weird! They had great customer service but sometimes it can be a bit much. I like to be greeted and ignored so that I can freely check out the items without having to ask for them to be unlocked. This really disrupts my shopping flow! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I wish I had read all of their reviews before I ordered. This was my very first experience with Neiman Marcus. I thought Neiman Marcus was a high end, reputable business & I was sadly mistaken. I ordered multiple dresses for an event NEXT YEAR & returned them all. They never left my house. One of the dresses was NEVER tried on and was returned in its original packaging. Neiman Marcus accepted the return and then wouldn't refund my money. They never contacted me. When I called them, they said the dress was worn, damaged, and unsaleable. I know with 100% certainty I returned it in the same condition I received it and it was never worn or damaged. I asked for details and pictures because I was stunned. I asked for it to be escalated and someone to call me. Neither happened. Instead, they tried to send the dress back to ME! I refused delivery and I contacted them again, and I got the same run around. They refused to allow me to talk to a manager. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whatever happened to that dress, if anything, did not happen while it was in my possession. They need to check with their own warehouse team or talk to USPS, the carrier. Today, that dress came back to me AGAIN, repackaged in a new box. I again refused delivery and have reported Neiman Marcus to the Better Business Bureau. They have stolen $430 from me. Also, i am a perfume/cologne addict/freak and Neimans has awesome selections of high end fragrances and they are usually the first to get the newest and best ones in stock first. Neiman Marcus can do no wrong in my book, if one only understands that the sales associates won't waste their time on someone who is clearly not there to purchase. And why should they? This is their livelihood and most people really can't afford the merchandise. Anyways, since the remodel the entire look of the store has drastically improved and really reflects the luxury of the neiman Marcus experience. The cusp section, which is more young and contemporary, is the best curated of all the departments. It is impossible to not find an amazing dress. The sales are dope and anything you don't see in your size can be shipped in from another store and sent to you for free. Save up. You won't be sorry. read more

However, I didn't end up buying anything because all of the employees here were more interested in talking amongst themselves - literally small clumps of people in every department - rather than helping a customer. Recently visited this location to pick up shoes and makeup for a wedding. Stopped for lunch in the cafe and had a fantastic experience. Had a lovely chat with the associate in the holiday shop. Was treated like royalty in the shoe department. Was treated like a shop lifter in cosmetics. Left the store and went to Sephora where I spent more money than I had originally planned. They treated me like a queen. So, while I'll be back to certain departments at Neiman's, cosmetics won't be one of them! read more

Excellent customer service! I'm not a VIP shopper - I only shop in the fragrance and cosmetics department - but I still get amazing service. The saleswomen are extremely attentive and helpful. They have a way of making product suggestions without making me feel pressured, plus they throw in generous samples with purchases. Neimans is a dreadful place to shop, not just because of the shopping "points" that make you feel like you're collecting Green Stamps even when you're luxury shopping, and not just because you can find almost all of their high-end dresses at the same or better prices at local boutiques. No, the worst part about shopping at Neimans is that the sales people are brash about being paid on commission. Good luck getting help on a prior purchase or a simple shopping question without being referred to "your sales person" even if they are out on lunch break for the next 30 minutes. One day, when my sales person was not in, I could not even get help locating items on the floor from the employees who were not my sales person. And when they do help, they do not actually engage in providing assistance because they apparently don't get paid to do so! The upside is they carry a lot of Beautiful merchandise. read more

On April 2, 2012, me and my girlfriend walked into the store to look in the shoe salon. As we approached we saw 5 sales associates in the area. We stood and looked around and not one person greeted or even acknowledged us. I was very stunned and appalled by the lack of customer service that we received. I have been a loyal customer for years at this location and not too mention I was wearing a pair of Prada shoes and my girlfriend was wearing a pair of Gucci shoes that we had purchased from this store. I also work in customer services and know how important it is to not only meet the customers expectations but to exceed them, and I felt as thou they did not care about my business fell below my expectations. The staff is snooty (no excuse for that) You stand at a cosmetics/fragrance counter and they just ignore you completely as they continue to talk to their coworkers. Most of the time there is nobody even at the counters to help you. Also, nobody is ever around to help in the handbag section. They will not receive my business anymore. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL; 5 minutes from NM @ The Galleria. I have AMAZING childhood and early adult memories of Neimans; my family and I have cultivated great relationships throughout the years with numerous employees. As crazy as it sounds it was kinda like a "second" home because it was the first outing my grandmother, and mother took me on 6 wks after I was born. That said, when I moved to Atlanta, GA (2008) for my now husband's career, I was absolutely heartbroken by the cold reception I received at the NM @ Lenox. Yes, I am young, 27, and they didn't "know" me but to me customer service is a big deal! I was never greeted, helped, or even given the time of day. Frankly, I stopped shopping at that location for a few yrs. and would just "stock up" when I went home or have my SA friends ship me what I needed. The other day I was wandering around the Contemporary department "CUSP" and 2 female sales associates actually glared at me, never breaking stride in there conversation. Then I walked to the other side of the floor where a male SA was on the phone. I stood there (patiently) for 5 full minutes waiting to ring up my purchase and he never once even acknowledged my presence. I walked away from the cash wrap to put my items back b/c clearly no one wanted to make a sale. As I was putting said items away, I turned to a woman who was walking by, asked her if she worked at NM and if she would kindly please ring up my sales. ( I was buying a gift for a friend who has just lost her dog) She grab the item out of my hand and wrung it up very quickly not even asking if I wanted it gift wrapped or sent with a note...which would have been nice because now my girl friend is going to have a random NM box delivered to her and have no idea who it came from...Awesome! Such a bad Lenox NM experience and sadly wasn't my first with their crew. The ONLY reason I will shop/eat there going forward is because of Ms. Louise in Home & Fine China, Ms. Gloria in the Cafe, and Patrick in Men's Sportswear. Those 3 should win Employee of the Year; they are kind, courteous, always helpful, not in a hurry, and friendly. Lastly, I think Mr. Stanley Marcus's book (Minding the Store) should be read & practiced from the lowest person on the totem pole, all the way up to the Store Manager. read more
