Good service; I'd return if I have other Mac issues, and I'd recommend for anyone with their own computer issues. I had an problem with my keyboard on my MacBook Pro; and after some emailing with James and a phone call; he was able to figure out what the issue was and order the parts needed. 24 hour turnaround time from drop off to pick up. James was nice, no-nonsense, and knowledgeable. It ended up costing me $329; which I can't speak to if that's a good or bad price, but at least my computer keyboard works properly. I had a cracked screen due to closing the lid on the prong on the power adapter. I had been using my Macbook in this condition for almost 8 months because of the nature of my work (healthcare) which requires me to use my Macbook for patient work, so, I really couldn't be without for an extended period of time. I mentioned this to James, he walked me through the (basic) process of what to expect and how much it would cost. There was no upselling you might see from other places, no "accidents" delaying my repair, and his quote was his word. He told me he was able to turn it around by the next morning and he did. I know who I will be going to in the future. I know some people have speculated about his demeanor and professionalism; with that in mind, my experience was fantastic. Terrible experience, wasted a week of my time by refusing to do the repair after throwing a full on temper tantrum because I called for an update. Not exaggerating: after the first conversation where he sort of half assedly told me "I don't know where your computer is, probably still in shipping" and I said I'd call in a couple days to check on it, he called *me* back to give me a piece of his mind. It was like dealing with someone with a severe hormonal imbalance, upset for no reason about something that doesn't make sense to be upset about. So James was rude, disrespectful, wasted a ton of my time and money and no integrity. I don't have anything good to say about him at all. In order for my computer's issue to have been in shipping certain parts had to be removed, they were not removed. He hadn't started the work at all. Recent edit: 2/27/18 recieved a new message from James recently about my review. I'd forgotten about this incident until then. Apparently James sees a difference between myself and the rest of his customers. That's the only reason I can see for why he feels so entitled to be so rude, especially after so long. read more

Lifesaver! Richard took two crashed drives and did what others said couldn't be done - he saved/retrieved everything from them. We thought we had lost precious photos and documents...huge relief! HORRIBLE. Haven't been able to get in contact with anyone. Ever. Been trying to service my laptop for over three weeks. I was referred to this establishment by an apple care professional, and haven't YET gotten a hold of NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON. I understand you may have an influx of calls and/or appointments but it's highly unprofessional for every single time someone tries to call, you either get six different rings thinking someone may answer & then no one picks up. Or straight to your automatic answering machine. You gotta be kidding & tell me every single time I've called about (10 different times) in over the past three weeks that you aren't servicing any more laptops. After I've already called heard several different rings, get a busy tone, hang up call back a little later than get an automatic message saying "you aren't servicing any more computer until mid next week" EVERY SINGLE TIME. I call bullshit. Insanely ridiculous, highly unprofessional. Get it the hell together. OR at least make an attempt where customers can actually SPEAK to a member of your team. read more

I work in IT and highly recommend MacTech Pro for your Apple repair needs! James is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and has fair pricing. The hard drive in my wife's iMac died. I tried running diagnostics and recovering recent data but I was at a loss because I work with PCs and I'm not familiar with Macs. Thankfully, I had just recently backed up all of her photos and videos to the cloud. (Definitely set up a automatic backup system, now!) I took her iMac in on a Tuesday morning and dropped it off. James called me in the afternoon and informed me that the drive was indeed broken. Rather than ordering an exact replacement, I informed him I wanted to upgrade to a SSD (solid state drive), as they're much faster and live longer than traditional drives. I supplied the new SSD on Wednesday morning and he called me first thing Thursday morning to inform me the iMac was ready for pickup! He recovered recent data, pulled out the old HD and installed the new SDD, and installed a fresh copy of the Mac OS. Total price was $150, which I thought was completely fair. My Apple MacBook Pro display showed erratic behavior. I didn't want to drive all the way to a crowded Apple Store to have my laptop checked out. So I searched for other options online and found MacTech Pro, an Apple certified repair service, nearby. I made an appointment with James, the proprietor. James hooked up my computer to one of his devices, ran some tests and analyzed what was wrong. It turned out that the problem with my MacBook was a known "pricey" hardware issue.
