Local Irish Pub with Irish fare. Everything I tasted was made on-site and gave it a comfortable, homey feel. Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3:00-7:00. Lots of TV'S for the sports fans and a large tap beer selection. Great staff and the place is clean. I would definitely stop here again. read more

Suppose to be a Irish spot but the bartender couldn't even make a half & half correct. The whole beer was dark and tasted horrible because it wasn't made right. I had the Celtic Cuban and the sandwich had no flavor. I never had corned beef that had no salt flavor. This place needs some upgrades in quality. read more

I was there today for Dt Patrick's Day. They were very busy I settled with the first bartender when she was leaving. I then went to settle at the end the end of night and was overcharged. I questioned the bill and when the bartender came back with a different price he mutters don't come back. I then saw the owner Jerry at the front door and questioned my complaint and he basically blamed me for asking about the bill. I will never go back to this establishment. read more

Place has grown on us. It's a solid place and never a bad experience. Good pub fair style Food and they have nice selection of beer. We been here 3-4 times now and its definitely consistent. What we like the most, is the local feel of the place and it's not a box restaurant which is nice, we have too many of those in town. Downside is seating can be a challenge on a busy night. read more

This place was horrible. I ordered boneless buffalo wings but really what came out was a piece of grilled chicken chopped into bits with buffalo sauce on it. They should take it off the menu. I guess if you only wanted to come get a beer you're in the right place but I would not recommend the food and not even the soda either as my Diet Coke was completely flat. read more

We have been weekly customers since this pub opened, and have enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere even during COVID. However, tonight was an exception! The hostess did not mask, and when I mentioned it to our waitress, she donned a mask below her nose. In addition, the paper menus supplied had obviously been used many times. So disappointed. As we were leaving, I mentioned the mask issue, and she said we were at a large table with many people who were not masked. We were at a table with my husband, myself and 6 year old grandchild. Sorry, like this place so much, but will not return. This hostess, who was there in the evening of 8 03 20 should be fired immediately. Her attitude was despicable and she is a danger to your customers. The servers were wonderful by the way. No problem. But the hostess needs to be educated or fired. There was no hand sanitizer at her station, and the utensils were in a bag on the floor. She should sanitize her hands after each seating which she did not. Food was good as usual, it I did not feel safe in this environment. We were there last week with no problem. read more

Been here a couple of times once a few months ago and again last night. Once for food and drinks and last night just for drinks. Both times were great. The food is pretty decent and servers and bartenders were really nice both times. Last night was way more crowded than the last time I went which was nice to see they're doing well! This place moved from a larger location in Tom's River that was primarily a sports bar with a backroom for live music. This new place is nicer aesthetically, but smaller. Still somewhat of a sports bar feel and majority of the seating is around the HUGE bar that extends end to end. They generally have live music on Thursday's and this is very much a local crowd. This is not fine dining by any means, although they do have decent dinner specials (e.g. prime rib). not conducive for a date night, but rather a good watering hole to meet friends and get some decent food. hot wings, while meaty, tend to come out dry and often with a burnt taste. I went to this pub for lunch yesterday and needed a quick meal so that I could return to work in time for a meeting. The bartender/server was very nice, and the service was prompt--I even returned to work a few minutes early. My complaint is with the quality of the food. I ordered the shepherd's pie, and while the mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty, and the portion was large, the ground meat was of a poor quality and a bit chewy, which nearly ruined the meal. This restaurant needs to purchase better-quality meat to ensure that their dishes are more enjoyable. If I try this restaurant again, I would not re-order this meal. read more

Friendly staff and their food is original, buuuuttt their menus may not include all the ingredients that come in what you order so make sure you ask cause you might get something that you do not want. For instance, I ordered the Irish nachos and in the menu there is no where that it says the nachos have parmesan on it and obviously i did not think that it'll come smothered in parmesan, but it did. I've been here a few times and enjoyed it every time. I've had burgers and pizza and everything was really good and everyone was happy with what they ordered. The servers are always quick and attentive. The bar is good sized with a lot on tap. Seems to be a mix of 2 separate groups: 20-30 somethings and then 40-50s. I'm always puzzled by the presence of a bouncer between 6-8 for dinner on a week day...but maybe it gets roudy later? I've never been in there late so I don't know, but I've never seen the need for a bouncer. read more

3 stars because the place is fine, the beer selection is nice and the prices are fair. The staff is very friendly and the bartenders are very sociable. I'm not a fan of the clientele that frequented the place, at least on the night I was there. I mean it's toms river, do you really expect the patrons ages 21-40 to be classy and on their best behavior. I will be back to give it another shot though. read more

I have been there a few times since they moved to this location. I loved the older location, but I really like the atmosphere of this location. The food got way better and the service is better. This is a great place to go for a low key night out, it is no longer the bar with darts and pool but they have made up for atmosphere with better quality food! read more

My Girlfriend and I come here all the time and have beers and the mussels appetizer. The mussels are so awesome!! Ask for a small cup to take the left over sauce home from your dish and mix them into some noodles. We have had a few other dishes from here and have never been let down. Went here for the first time. This place has good food but bad customer service. There waitresses are disgustingly rude and don't have respect. My waitress took forever to come out for my friends beer and was sitting with another co worker when she was supposed to be getting something for my table. She never asked how our food is and took forever to clean of our table. I will never come here again, this is maybe why people don't get tips. read more

Visit McIntyre's once a week or so. Food and service are consistantly excellent and prices are reasonable. Chili is the best ever, served with a plentiful helping of chips. Tuscan salad was a fresh and tasty concoction of greens, roasted peppers, tomato, and mozzarella served on a nicely chilled plate. Great craft beer selection. Currently offering St. Patty's Day specials on Sundays and Mondays. Authentic Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner was quite good! Love this place! read more

Food is good but I ordered a Knob Creek before our meal and it cost me $10.00 plus $1.50 for the ice - must be made from special water. There is no ambiance like Rooney's or Tim McCloone's where you have an ocean view and great location that would make you feel better about the price. This is a neighborhood bar and there are other similar places where you are not ripped off for a premium spirit. We also ordered a house wine for $8 (should be $6) but the thing is it is not free pour. They have the airline bottles. Go there for average to good food, beer but you can do better at The Brickhouse and the 1850 Pub, even Sweeny's if you can stand the noise. read more

Solid local spot with good food and good service. Restaurant was very clean and felt comfortable. Bathrooms were clean as well, a big plus for me. I hate places with dirty bathrooms. There is a large bar that spans pretty much the entire restaurant so it's a good place to hang for a few drinks with friends while watching a game. We ordered buffalo wings and Nachos to start. Wings were very good, crispy and juicy. The buffalo flavor was lacking, could've used more sauce but they had a nice grilled char to them. The nachos were delicious as well however could've used a bit more chili on them as the chips at the bottom were somewhat dry. The burger was tasty but the bun was too big for the size of the burger itself. (Forgot to take a photo of the burger). The Tuscan salad was very good with added sliced steak on top. Overall, solid spot if you're in the area to grab a bite to eat or have a few beers. read more
