If I could give 0 stars I would. We came on a Sunday (party of 7, 3 of whom were small kids). Initially we were told wait would be 1 hour. When we were about to leave they told us a table was ready. It took a while for the waitress to come over and take our order. The place was busy but not fully packed. Food took almost 1 hour to come out. We ordered pancakes, grilled cheese, salmon, and one person ordered brisket. After about 40 min of waiting we had to call the waitress over to ask to check on the food. She supposedly went but never came back to update us. The kids were starving and we were all getting pretty hangry at this point. After another 15 min I went to ask for a manager. The staff claimed there was no manager or person in charge on the premises. They apologized for the wait but offered no resolve. I told them that if the food wasn't out we would have to leave. Finally a few minutes later the food came out. We sat there with food and no utensils. We had to look for another server to ask for forks. Our waitress never checked on our table at any point to see if we needed anything. The food was not that great. 2/5 stars. We were so annoyed we had to wait almost 1 hour for pancakes for the kids. We had ordered a side of fruit with the pancakes. They gave a small plate with some shriveled up blueberries. A few pieces had mold! Even if the other items were taking longer to prepare they could have served the kids. When we were done eating we had to look for someone to ask for a check. We finally got up and went to the front to get our bill. We expressed our disappointment in the meal and wait time. I insisted to speak with someone. So waitress gets on the phone with the 'manager' to tell them what happened. Finally after having us stand there waiting for another 5 min she goes I'm sorry the manager said we can only offer 10% off your bill. I told her I was not pleased with that at all. Her response was if we didn't pay the full tab she would have to call the cops. I have NEVER had such a terrible dining experience. The service from the front desk staff was fine but the waitress was terrible. All of the staff there seem to move in slow motion. It's a cute spot with nice decor but the food and service was NOT IT for me. So disappointed and a total waste of money! Regarding your response: we did not fully consume our meal. Also, had a server or ANYONE come check on our table we would have addressed our issues with the food. We had to go to the staff at your bar to pay our check because again NO ONE came to even give us a bill. We had been fed up of waiting at that point. If I really wanted to leave without paying I could have easily done. I went to the bar to pay our bill and I was not happy with them offering only 10% off when we were charged an additional 'convenience fee'. The real concern is why there is no proper management at a restaurant on a day when like you said is a busy day. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. Couldn't leave 0 stars Don't make my mistake and please stay away. I wanted to give them a try and ignore the reviews but I should have listened. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled and they screw it up so they brought me the correct ones AND CHRGED ME. Management made the waitress paid for it instead of just taking it out of the bill. It was 3 freaking dollars!!! The food was horrible. They brought out waffles with a little bit of syrup. On top of that they were out of half the menu. No champagne and this is a "brunch" place? read more

Food was 6.5/10, service 8/10, ambiance 9/10, food was okay not better than brownstones, flavored margaritas were very sweet little alcohol. I would go back again to confirm on the taste of food. read more

We went on a Wednesday with a group of 8 and they were so accommodating. Our server Holly was out of this world, she was so patient and friendly. Me and my friends had a great time the food was amazing! What a hidden gem. I'm from bayshore and so glad to have discovered this place! Thank you for a great time read more

First time here, not super busy, blonde server sat at the bar celebrating friends birthday eating cake. Didn't even get another drink. Been here 45 minutes and still didn't get f. Ouood. Drinks were empty and didn't ask for more. Couldn't even tell us kitchen takes long. read more

Attempted to order here but they stated they don't do pick up orders when they are busy. It was especially weird since their website had an option to order online which was still open at the time of my call. They had a bunch of great allergy friendly options so that was a big bummer. They should really shut off their online ordering system if that's the case cause my group spent a bunch of time deciding our order that we couldn't end up placing. read more

Stopped in for a late brunch, sat at our table for 15 minutes without a single server acknowledging us. The three tables around us were complaining that food was taking too long. Finally we proceeded to get up and leave. Food was great in the past, but service was terrible then too. All the servers seem confused and aren't knowledgeable of the menu. read more

I've been here twice and the service gets worse and worse. They have younger (underage?) servers making the bar drinks and they have no clue what they're doing. I asked for Ketel One in my martini and I watched them use Smirnoff. My dirty martini was 50% olive juice and they had to reshake it. It took 15 minutes to get served. All we got was complimentary biscuits during that time (and then owner/ manager tried to bring more over not realizing we already got) no silverware, no water glasses (we had to ask for glasses 3 times), dirty dishes on table. My food came out before my friend's even though we said the app I ordered would be my entree. The place is cute and the food is yummy but their staff is not trained in any area of service. (This is coming from a server/ bartender of many years). Definitely do not recommend. read more

Had lunch here with my friend and we loved it! We went during the week and it wasn't busy, which worked out great for us. My friend brought her baby and the staff was great about accommodating. Our server was super friendly and our orders came out promptly, but most important delicious. I recommend both the chicken sandwich and lemon ricotta pancakes. Chicken was very crispy and paired great with the creamy slaw. The restaurant and facilities were very clean as well. read more

Had high hopes coming in for the first time. Ambiance is very nice, clean restaurant. Food was sub par at best and was not up to the quality in Babylon. Service was slow and need to be further trained. My son did enjoy the waffles on a bright note. Wish this could've been a go to for us as we are a mile away! read more

From the moment we walked thru the door until we left everything was fantastic. I love how they themed the space and their menu is just filled with lots of fun/different food and drinks. You could tell the quality of the ingredients is top notch. We will most certainly be back. As someone who spent quite a long time working in the service industry, I will also say their staff was diligent and delightful providing us with excellent service. read more

Went for brunch today. Must say had a very good experience. My wife ordered the steak and fries and liked it very much. I ordered the banana bread French toast because it received good reviews. It was not for me. I informed the waiter and he notified the manager who graciously offered me to choose another item. Got the eggs Benedict which were very tasty. There were previous reviews which dinged the service. I thought the service was exceptionally professional. Thanks Mack's for a delightful brunch. read more

I am SHOCKED to come on here and not see a single review from what I witnessed/experienced the Saturday before Mother's Day. When we were seated at our table and started talking we realized that it has been fifteen minutes and no one even came to bring us water or take our drink orders. When a server finally came over, they gave us water and a drink menu and literally never came back. 30 minutes later we kindly walked to the bar to ask our server to order something to drink and the server rudely snapped saying they were busy. We then got a new server to come to our table for our order, they were much more pleasant and apologized on the other servers behalf. As we are waiting for our DRINKS, we notice all of the other tables are looking around, waiting for their drinks, waiting for their food, I witnessed about 3 tables get up and walk out and then about 30 minutes later the server comes to our table to tell us we can't get our drinks because the bartender left. We were in complete shock that we've been there for almost 1.5 hours and still haven't even gotten a drink. The server offered us soda instead of a martini and I declined so they offered mimosas on the house. We chose to accept and wait it out because we were so hungry at this point and just did not want to have to leave and wait at another restaurant. To make matters worse after being told we couldn't have our martinis we saw our previous server making drinks for the table across from us. Our food EVENTUALLY came out after we were there for over 2 hours and it was decent, but even if the food was out of this world, I would never go back. Thank goodness for the second server because they were extremely polite and apologetic but I couldn't even believe I got handed a bill after such an awful experience and being treated so rudely by a server. We chalked it up to being Mother's Day weekend, but then I came on here and see that this is an ongoing thing with this restaurant. read more

The ambiance is beautiful. It's a great place for brunch. It may have been very busy when we went there, but my order of eggs Benedict was cold, and the egg was overcooked. Hard boiled actually. I would have sent the order back, but since I was there on an invite, I didn't want to make my friends feel awkward. read more

if you want good service when you go out to eat, don't bother going here. After seeing the menu I was excited to go here for brunch with my friends from out of town. Instead I got to wait nearly forty minutes before anyone bothered to come over and even take a drink order. To get any help whatsoever I had to flag down a busboy to ask if someone could please take our order and still had to continue to wait before a server finally came. When that eventually happened, we were only told that they thought someone else was helping us without any real apologies being given. When they were finally able to start taking our orders many of the food and drink options listed on the menu were unavailable. Service continued to be slow throughout the rest of our dining experience with our first round of drinks taking another twenty minutes to arrive. When food finally arrived after such a long wait it was truly underwhelming to say the least. Aesthetically the place is cute, but that is really all this place has going for it, especially given the price point. read more

My wife and I had breakfast here recently. We had the Mini Biscuits and Gravy, Patty's Platter and the Southern Chicken and Waffles. Everything was great and the even give you Complimentary pastry to start out with. The service was amazing and our waitress was fantastic, she was spot on with her recommendations. The only negative things were the tables for two were a bit small and it was hard fitting the food on it with coffee and water drinks. The chicken was a bit bland but, some maple syrup took care of that. We will definitely be back and want to try more things off their huge menu. read more

Beautiful space but the food leaves something to be desired. We had the sweet potato latkes, candied bacon, lemon ricotta toast, garden omelette and the after school special (grilled cheese and tomato soup) The sweet potato latkes were really sweet potato pancakes (mashed sweet potatoes instead of shredded) and arrived hot with accompanying horseradish sour cream and apples. Those were pretty good. The candied bacon tasted ok but was not super hot and some pieces were really cooked through while others were kind of flabby. The garden omelette arrived with potatoes that were room temperature as did the lemon ricotta toast. The lemon ricotta toast was a stand out for originality and taste but seemed oddly paired with the mid temp breakfast potatoes. The one thing everyone seemed to like was the grilled cheese and tomato soup. All in all, it could be a great place but just doesn't hit the mark. read more

We went to Mack's for breakfast today but unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. The food: Great menu, if you have good eyesight. Some of the font (was photocopied) was so tiny we couldn't read it. We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy-1 traditional and 1 Chicken Sausage. Both came out lukewarm at best, my husband sent his back. The gravy was delicious, but I'm not sure if the biscuits were stale or just a strange texture. Biscuits should be fluffy, these were the consistency of a a crispy, heavy sourdough bread. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with it and I thought the menu said $2.00 extra but when the bill came it was $12.00 extra. There's that unreadable print again. The coffee was very dark, we used up the entire creamer to try and lighten it. No luck. The staff at Mack's was very pleasant, absolutely no complaints there. The decor is really nice and they played awesome music. I hope they take this review to straighten out the menu and improve the quality of the food when it's served. I would love to see them succeed and become a go-to breakfast spot in Babylon. read more

The service here is great and I really do love the space. However, I wasn't wowed by the food. My friend enjoyed her chicken sandwich. However, the bahn mi wasn't great. It seemed like the vegetables were just thrown on top, making it not very special tasting. I would be willing to try it again but it would have to blow me away. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to check out Mack's last weekend since it was brand new. It wasn't too crowded even though it was a Sunday. The dining room in the back is decorated a little weird but gets a lot of sunlight thanks to the skylights which was nice. My boyfriend and I ordered the candied bacon to start and 2 Bellinis. I was a little worried about paying 12 dollars for bacon but the pieces ended up being really big and they even gave us an extra one. It was really tasty. The Bellinis were mostly champagne with a slice of grapefruit in it. We definitely weren't complaining. For our main dishes we got the avocado and lox toast and the avocado and lox benedict. We have pretty similar tastes. We both really enjoyed the food. The avocado toast is 2 really huge slices of bread that are toasted to perfection with a very generous amount of smoked salmon. I could only eat one before I was full so I took the other piece to go. My boyfriend also really enjoyed the eggs benedict. While we really enjoyed the food, the service could definitely be improved on. Our server wasn't necessarily rude but she didn't introduce herself or say hello. And it wasn't busy enough where she was in too much of a rush to. When she would come to take our orders she would just stand there and not say anything. The reason I'm leaving this review today is because I enjoyed the food so much I actually called today because I wanted to order takeout. But the hostess informed me that they don't offer takeout. Considering they gave me a to go box at the end of our meal last weekend I don't understand why they wouldn't do it. Restaurants that have similar menus and setups offer the option to order online. They're ignoring a really easy way to build business. Overall, the food was good but there are definitely aspects that need to be improved on. read more

Went for late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. Hostess offered complimentary cookies upon arrival. Sadly they were stale. We were then promptly seated in back room which is bright and airy. Manager and server very attentive. Nice menu. Ordered Eggs Benedict which came over a bisquit with breakfast potatoes & carrots, sauce on side. This was not good to me. The minute I tasted bisquit it was strange, heavy and odd tasting. Same with sauce. Potatoes were ok but heavily salted. My BF got the egg platter with corned beef which he enjoyed. Maybe we will try for lunch some time. read more

We stopped by today for a quick brunch. Had been thinking of checking Mack's out for a while now. Friendly greeting and led to a small table in the middle of the dining room. The room is nice. Skylights brighten the room. Music was playing so you didn't hear other's conversations. The waitress brought water and creamed-topped biscuits. Brook took our order and returned with coffees. I had the apple cinnamon French toast which was above average. My wife had eggs Benedict with a side of potato croquettes. She enjoyed her meal as well. Brook was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was above that of a diner but not exactly fine dining. Another reviewer mentioned a "minimalist" feeling. I agree. Between the metal table and chairs and the modest silverware it's a basic kinda feel. Looking around I think it's fair to say that not two coffee cups are alike and that is kind of cute and homey. All in all I would return for breakfast or brunch. Thanks Brook and thanks Mack's for a pleasant brunch experience. read more

Horrible!! If I could give less than a star... I would... LISTEN as consumers we understand the price of eggs increased everywhere ... however... you are CHARGING $3 EXTRA DOLLARS (PER PERSON) TO ALL DISHES THAT CONTAIN EGGS ... you mean the whole menu? What kind of nonsense is that??? The price of your menu items are already high and now you are adding the surcharge? You telling me you are paying additional $36 per each dozen eggs?? Get out of town! This is all about making more profit of the unfortunate situation our country is going through... a little surcharge is understandable .... But $3 per patron is an abuse. To the owner, if you are going to respond to this post saying HOW GREAT THE INGREDIENTS YOU USE FOR THE FOOD ARE ALL HIGH QUALITY AND THE INCREMENT IN PRICES OF GOODS FORCED YOU TO INCREMENT THE PRICES ON THE MENU...... SAVE IT!! I am perfectly aware of the price increment of goods ... I work in the industry... but you are taking advantage on the situation charging extra for the food and also CHARGING EXTRA TO ALL PATRONS FOR USING THEIR CREDIT CARDS. Shame! read more

First visit, everything was good. Hot chicken sandwich, crunchy crust, cole slaw (very good) on top adds to it. Fries were perfect. Regular chicken with Mac and cheese - also good. Went here twice. The first time we were turned away for an hour wait for a party of two despite half the place being vacant. Okay - not a great first impression but let's give it another shot.
