We meet up in the Howell area and googled a place to grab a drink and eat. We found this to be a decent option so went in. Our server was either really new or really bad. He doesn't know his craft beers and gave me incorrect information. Then we ordered dinner and I also got a side salad. My salad came out after my entree did. I had to ask for Ketchup for my fries and I never got a refill on my water. He was a sweet kid but if there were more than 2 tables I could see him drowning. Also the web said they closed at 10 but at 915 they made us feel rushed by putting up all the chairs and breaking everything down. I just don't feel comfortable going back there again. The food wasn't good enough to go it and feel that way. read more

Always a great experience! Food was excellent, with very fast and convenient curbside pickup. I had the coconut shrimp tacos and buffalo wings for the first time and really enjoyed them. The sweet and tangy short ribbed grilled cheese, grilled chicken pasta, chicken tenders and short rib tacos are staples for my family, but we can't go without the pretzel bites (with Bell's Two Hearted cheese dip) and the brussels sprouts! Excellent restaurant and bar. All of the food was great and local brewed beers on draft! I would definitely go with the steaks tips. Very tender and full of flavor. The smashed red potatoes were also seasoned perfectly. For appetizers we had spinach artichoke dip that was house made and served with freshly fried tortilla chips. The ahi tuna appetizer was also a hit. Fresh sushi grade Ahi pan seared rare. The food was reasonably priced and everyone left full and satisfied. The restaurant was also beautifully designed with large dark wood exposed beams and a huge outdoor patio to enjoy the summer weather. Great place to eat dinner and grab a beer! First time I have even heard of this place and I am absolutely mind blown. Amazing atmosphere, awesome food, quality and good portions. Hidden gem, good prices and awesome beer list. Veggie burger is phenomenal, pretzel bites and stuffed mushrooms were top notch. French dip is more then you can ask for, salmon club sandwich was great and the short rib tacos are tough to beat. Was SO hopeful that this place would be a winner. I wasn't a fan of its predecessor. So decided to give it a try. The menu is SPARSE. You have your choice of like 4 salads, 4 "entrees,", 4 burgers or 4 sandwiches. It's odd. The food was just ok. Just as good as you'd find at any less expensive restaurant anyway, so I see no point in going back. Wasn't at all impressed with the service. This place was great!! The food was great, service was great, beer was good too. The beer selection was not large, but probably more of a medium size selection. What really impressed us, aside from the quality of the food, is that when or server brought out our food she told my husband that the cook was preparing a little more for the meal because they didn't feel the portion was large enough. Just had dinner with the wife here and we both had nothing short of a very fine meal with excellent service from Mike, at a very reasonable price. I will be back and consider this place a destination dining and drinking joint. Chicken tenders, open face roast beef and some kind of slaw salad were all better than good. Great new spot! Had the chicken tenders (similar to Stillwater's = fresh and amazing), Mac n cheese, and pretzel bites, which were all the tops! Truffle fries were good but surprisingly our least favorite of the four. Service was really good and appeared to have good bar options, though we did not drink. The hostess entertained our kids for a few mins during dinner by playing peek-a-boo, which was a bonus! Will be going back for a biz meeting next week to try the lunch menu. read more

Was hopeful for this new restaurant in the neighborhood and thus far it has been disappointing. The portions don't equal the price. Fifteen bucks for a little salad with chicken on it. Had to send back some broccoli that tasted like it was not even cooked. Here's one that I've never heard before.....they don't do take out on the weekend?? This place is not Ruth's Chris. We have dined here 3 times now I belive this restaurant has potential but for now it receives 3 stars. 1st visit was the week it opened was probably the best I had the steak salad it was good. My husband had the chicken tenders, up there with one of the best. It's pricey mind you we had non alcoholic beverages. Over 40$ 2nd visit my husband ordered a burger he loved it. I ordered pretzel bites with 2 hearted ale cheese dip and the chicken club, good, non alcoholic beverages. Almost a 60$ tab the cheese dip is 8.99 a dollar more and you can have burger and chips. Not enough pretzel bites for the cheese. 3rd visit hubby burger me the fish and chips. 15$ for 2 pieces of cod nicely prepared. Skimping portions of fries and slaw. The homemade tarter sauce is very good. 2 non alcoholic beverages. 40$ The service is very good. Kitchen needs work on cooking burgers the correct temp and to make sure the salad is the freshest possible. We dined at Stillwater's in Brighton many times always felt the portions and quality justified the prices. The food is always impeccable along with the service. I believe this place will be great when they tweet out the small things. Hopefully they will add some healthy options to the menu. read more

Awful bar food. Lobster bisque with no lobster, their coconut shrimp are just frozen and microwaved shrimp. Don't waste your money. overpriced tap and bottled beer. Blah, may as well be a buffalo wild wings. Go to Block Brewing down the street instead, at least half way decent BBQ. read more

Long overdue to write a review about this absolutely phenomenal restaurant & pub. Fantastic menu with a great mix of light dishes and craveable comfort food. Personal favorites: The open-faced roast beef, steak tip salad, cashew salmon, and the truffle fries. Lots of quality in the prep and in the ingredients--the corned beef used in the reuben is unreal it's so tender. Staff is always beyond friendly and helpful. My family can't get enough of going there because it's so quick, tasty, and just a relaxing place for a great meal and maybe a drink or two. read more

Easily one of the better choices in Hartland. Went in for lunch, I had the French Dip with seasoned fries and DH had the Philly cheesesteak. Both were excellent , one of the best French Dips I've ever had. And I've ordered a lot of French Dips. And they were both huge. I think it's kind of weird that most of the sandwiches were served with chips and it was extra for seasoned fries or sweet potato fries. I thought the extra 1.99 for the fries was excessive, however the prices overall are consistent with this type of place. Atmosphere is okay, a little on the cavernous side, staff was pleasant and welcoming. The bar and beer selection looked interesting, maybe I'll check that out next time. I've been here a lot of times. I live in downtown Howell and try to get out to Mackle's a couple times a month. The food is is incredible every single time. The specialty cocktails are well made and there is a beer selection to please any palate. The staff is well trained and the owner is always attentive and pitching in when the place is busy, which is almost always. Huge improvement over the Irish pub that was here. read more

Had the opportunity to have lunch at the new family owned pub "Mackle's Table & Taps" in Howell, Michigan today. The food was outstanding, I had their Michigan Salad with Grilled Chicken and my husband had the Steak Tips, both dishes were amazing. This restaurant just opened their doors for business yesterday 7/19/2016. For a new restaurant just opening they had everything under control, staff was efficient, and attentive and very friendly!! The owner and his wife were there greeting customers and making sure we were happy and satisfied with our meal. If your looking for good beer they have a very large selection, which made my husband very happy! We will definitely be back Mackle family thanks for a great lunch! read more

Much, much better than O'Malley's used to be. Place seems brighter and less like an Irish castle dungeon, although some of the Irish decor (only because it is structural) still remains. Had fish and chips. Cod was very meaty, and though not beer battered (which usually makes the breading a little greasy anyway) it was almost like they used panko and so the outside was crispy and very different in a very positive way. Chips need some work. Fries could be bigger and thicker (like steak fries), and a tad crispier. Cole slaw could have been a bit tangier, as well as the tartar sauce which tasted like Hellman's out of a jar or plastic bottle. A bit more on the quantity side too. Didn't think two pieces of fish would be filling but it was more than enough. The only downside was the price for what you get. $14.99 for 2 pieces of cod, potatoes, and a wee bit of slaw is a little steep. Could be $2-3.00 cheaper. read more
