First time here, loved the Ambiance when I walked in. Sat at the bar for fries and few drinks during a huge football game night. Place closes at 9pm, at 8:15, music was turned off, workers are sweeping and tallying ledgers, definitely want us to leave. Polite staff, but terrible feeling when they are sweeping around you and cleaning while you're just trying to enjoy an hour at the bar for a game on a Saturday night . read more

Love Mackle's!! We come here often to enjoy the devious soups, sandwiches, and various entries they offer. It's got a nice bar feel but is by no means rowdy in the bar sense. Services always being speedy and delightful. Definitely recommend for the whole family! read more

This spot is a little hidden gem in a plaza but at least it has a nice entrance door. It's a little dark and a little loud but the food was delicious and the service was great. Their house wine didn't disappoint and they had a small selection of gluten free options even though their menu lacks GF symbols. I had to call ahead to make sure they had gluten free options. The quality of ingredients were on point and I left very happy with my tasty summer salad. And my gf had chicken tacos which she enjoyed as well. read more

Wow! The food at this place was AMAZING!!! My wife and I traveled to Hartland for a conference and used AMEX travel services to secure our hotel. The AMEX rep actually received Mackle's! Because it was a crazy busy Friday night, we chose to sit at the bar. The service was fantastic and the servers took time to discuss menu options with us. Ultimately, I ordered an INCREDIBLY UNIQUE and over the top tasty brisket grilled cheese sandwich with their homemade New England Clam chowder. The soup was fresh, hot, and tasty. One of the best I've had! The sandwich included spicy dill pickles, marinated red onions, and an excellent horseradish mayo. With a perfectly toasted and butter bread for the exterior, this massive sandwich was a flavor party for my mouth! The homemade seasoned chips completed the plate. My wife had the creamy butternut squash soup and a pile of the freshly breaded chicken breast strips (and I DO mean a pile) along with smashed potatoes - all of which arrive hot and tasty. Food was served quickly in spite of the Friday night rush. I don't know what we were thinking after all that food, but we ordered the made-in-house carrot cake for dessert. Best carrot cake ever. If you're in the Hartland area, treat yourself and give this local place a try! (It's too bad I could only give 5 stars, because Mackle's scores way beyond that!) read more

I'm so surprised I've not given a review for Mackle's! It's awesome. You need to eat here. No reservations but you can call ahead and finish out your wait when you arrive. It has always gone quick. Besides it's WORTH the wait! Their blackened salmon is to die for. The steak tips salad -- order it!! Yum! The ambiance is fun. Families are here with babies and kiddos. It's fun to people watch. The wine pours are quite generous. The carrot cake is stupidly amazing. You'll make a fool out of yourself trying to not eat it when they bring you a SLAB of carrot cake. Last week, would have been 4 stars, this week a 1 star! Very inconsistent, even when ordering the same appetizers and entrees. We left with having not taken more than 2 bites of 2 meals. Absolutely horrible, because they were prepared incorrectly. BUT the same entree was great, last week. This is why we visit Mackle's several times for a month and then stop for a year. Owner and servers are nice, but the food is very unreliable. Also, it was disconcerting that 2 meals had gone visibly untouched and bill was not adjusted accordingly. Not that we really care about the bill, because it will be a year, or longer before we return. read more

Loved in the area for 20 years and am a little tired of the dining scene in Milford. Not much menu turn over so it's getting a little Meh. Brighton was a little out of the way this evening so we tried Mackle's. So happy we did. Great Tap and Liquor selections, nicely placed TV's for games. Heated & Protected Patio to sit at as well. The menu has a little of everything but I seem to always go for the Steak tip Florentine. Prepared perfectly, M R of course and creamy also. Pleasant service and friendly atmosphere read more

We went here about 1.5 hours before closing on a Friday evening. After 15 mins here, Staff was more focused on closing duties and side work than serving customers. Multiple tables were commenting. (sweeping around seated tables, rolling silverware, filling condiments, cashing out). Manager was present and it seemed like this was normal practice. It felt like we were an inconvenience. Food was mediocre, steak over cooked, fríes burned and not worth the price. Don't recommend. read more

My husbandand his buddy went to Mackle's for there weekly get together. (8/13/25) While drinking the house Whiskey and Coke through his straw was a shard of glass. Upon removing the piece of glass from his mouth, thank God it did not get swallowed or cut his mouth, he cut his finger. Presenting it to the waitress and then the manager, there was NO CONCERN WHAT SO EVER! All the manager did was offer him a bandaide, but did not offer to replace his beverage full of shard glass. read more

Mackles is kind of a nice casual place to go if you're in the Heartland area. The appetizers are good and the service is quick and friendly. They have a couple drink specials that I've tried and they were very good. This was a bit of a nice crowd, but I didn't have to wait for a table at all. It's a nice casual bar and grill. I didn't have anything to eat other than appetizers, but I was very pleased with those. read more

What a great place! Ate here with a friend for lunch, such good food and tons of drink choices. Plenty of seating in booths or tables, outdoor patio or the bar. Our service was fantastic, the waitress made several really good recommendations including the cauliflower appetizer and a couple burgers. What a great environment. I've been waiting to come here with Dusty to celebrate so here we are. If it helps take our minds off of some of the sadness we've been experiencing. Tatiana is our waitstaff and she is wonderful. She was very patient since I had not been here and explained a lot of favorite options to me. It was hard to make a choice but I ended up choosing to share the spinach and artichoke dip, and I chose a Michigan Side Salad which had spring greens tomato blue cheese icons and a delicious dressing which was homemade and which looks beautiful and then I also ordered the fish tacos with the pico on the side as it does have cilantro in it. My nephew ordered his favorite here which is the steak tips without the sauce cooked medium and a batch of french fries. He also enjoys the spinach artichoke dip and in fact recommended it!!! From a flavor perspective we enjoyed everything we ordered and both of us saved about half our meals so will have Leftovers if we want to snack on them during the Lions game this afternoon. I'm not a big NFL fan but I'll spend some time polishing the long table it's under the big screen TV. I wasn't surprised when my nephew told me before we even got here that I would be able to see the desert that he always orders here because he loves dessert usually it's filled with chocolate but this time it's a big old salted caramel cookie with ice cream and then looks like a big string of maybe salted caramel on top . Since I lived in Michigan when I was a child and well into my adulthood I love Saunders products and they certainly have some of the best chocolate toppings and caramel toppings along with candy etc. etc. that ever was known to man. I don't know if this is Sanders or?? I rarely order dessert unless it's just something irresistible but since today's special I opted to indulge in a homemade carrot cake!!! Happy Birthday to me. Adding pictures of both desserts ....my nephew has already wolfed down half of his. He must love it!!! Mine is definitely Tasty! Last but not least .... Beyond mad!!! Avoid this place!!! We called yesterday to reserve a table for my son's birthday. We were told we could not reserve a table. Called today - a reminder we were coming (only 6 people). We were told by the manager today, there was no room for us now - all tables are booked. WHAT??? We live by Mackles. Sorry to see a place like this in our city! Definitely no more Mackles for us! This is down the street from where we live and we had heard decent things. We were not impressed with the food quality and the vibe. There was no music on, no hospitality and the servers seemed to be more invested in their own conversations than taking care of the Guests. read more

We've tried this place out a few more times as we live locally and it is now a good spot for a quick dinner when we are running behind. The kids love the kids mac and cheese (it's really good but not the same as the adult Mac which taste different). We always get their chicken tenders and sweet potato fries and it's great every time. They also have good fish and chips. They make their own honey mustard sauce and it's awesome with the fries and chicken. I have also witnessed the owner be incredibly generous to a veteran which everyone should appreciate. Overall a solid place for drinks and food. read more

Locally owned and loved establishment. Great beer selection and they even have cider from Spicer's Apple Orchard. My staple order is the Slaw Salad with Salmon. When I veer from that order I get the steak tips, the appetizer portion is enough for me for dinner. My parents and family go to Mackle's several times per week. It's nice to see something thrive in that space! My only issue is the wait times for tables. I feel like they could better utilize the space to have more tables so you don't have to wait as long. read more

Back again food and service was fantastic as always. New seafood menu and I had the double stacked blackened salmon. OMG it was spectacular, shrimp in between the fillets were cooked perfectly and the seasoning and sauce was a flavor explosion. I've eaten here over the last 10 years under 3 different names. The food has always been above par, but tonight I got take out for the first time. I am sooooo disappointed! $55 for terrible take out. Brussel sprouts : Super wet, no crispness, and the container had about 1/4 cup of water poured into it. DO NOT GET TAKEOUT HERE Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower: Dripping wet, sponge like garbage. No discernable flavors, just SUPER wet, soft, non-crispy, soggy, unsatisfactory cauliflower. 2mm of water in the container, absolutely pissed at this vecause it's usually so good. Coconut shrimp: Cooked well, good sauce. Seemingly frozen to fryer. Kids cheeseburger: Burger cooked until turned into cardboard with a piece of cheese on it. Harder to bite into than a cheap steak. Broccoli was undercooked. Kids chicken strips: Cooked properly. I don't want to hear anyone tell me,, "that's to be expected with take out." Package your food correctly, or charge me less than standard, since your food quantity was well below 50%! read more
