Restaurant Exterior

Wow! The food at this place was AMAZING!!! My wife and I traveled to Hartland for a conference and used AMEX travel services to secure our hotel. The AMEX rep actually received Mackle's! Because it was a crazy busy Friday night, we chose to sit at the bar. The service was fantastic and the servers took time to discuss menu options with us. Ultimately, I ordered an INCREDIBLY UNIQUE and over the top tasty brisket grilled cheese sandwich with their homemade New England Clam chowder. The soup was fresh, hot, and tasty. One of the best I've had! The sandwich included spicy dill pickles, marinated red onions, and an excellent horseradish mayo. With a perfectly toasted and butter bread for the exterior, this massive sandwich was a flavor party for my mouth! The homemade seasoned chips completed the plate. My wife had the creamy butternut squash soup and a pile of the freshly breaded chicken breast strips (and I DO mean a pile) along with smashed potatoes - all of which arrive hot and tasty. Food was served quickly in spite of the Friday night rush. I don't know what we were thinking after all that food, but we ordered the made-in-house carrot cake for dessert. Best carrot cake ever. If you're in the Hartland area, treat yourself and give this local place a try! (It's too bad I could only give 5 stars, because Mackle's scores way beyond that!)

This spot is a little hidden gem in a plaza but at least it has a nice entrance door. It's a little dark and a little loud but the food was delicious and the service was great. Their house wine didn't disappoint and they had a small selection of gluten free options even though their menu lacks GF symbols. I had to call ahead to make sure they had gluten free options. The quality of ingredients were on point and I left very happy with my tasty summer salad. And my gf had chicken tacos which she enjoyed as well.

Email response.

We enjoy this place. Food is good, lots of drink choices. Didn't give it 5 stars because it just seems a little pricey for what you get.

The food and drinks are reliably tasty and consistent, and the service is fast and friendly. The expansive menu offers something for everyone-- classic bar fare with a twist, build-your-own pizza, lots of healthy options, and if you have any food issues, they can and will accommodate you. Some of my favorite menu items-- fresh & unique salads, wraps, and sandwiches, plus some of the best parmesan garlic boneless wings I've ever had. We've tried several different dishes over the years, and have never been disappointed. Their ranch dressing is a must-have add-on (even if you're just dipping your fries or wings... it's so good!) And they can really shake up a solid margarita! The building is huge, as it is an athletic complex with a games area, gym, and banquet center. The bar and restaurant space is in the front, offering plenty of bar, booth, and tabletop seating for both small and large groups. We avoid the nights when the corn hole/fowling area is being utilized because it tends to get so loud from all the people playing & cheering, you can't even hear yourself think! All in all, The Lift remains one of our go-to spots for a quick meal that satisfies! Bring your friends, hang out, watch a game, and grab some grub! :)

I've had it made for me by Greek expats, I've had it from the Livonia Hellenic bakery (whose is very good), I've had it elsewhere too, and honestly, I just haven't ever been too into it. I thought I just wasn't really a fan of spinach pie...until I had The Laundry's!!! Theirs is a deep dish version with layers and layers of phyllo and a few secret ingredients that the chef wasn't willing to share (of course I asked!) It was incredible and truth be told...it was the best part of my first experience at The Laundry. We also ordered a proper lunch with a couple sammies and some French Onion soup. My girl ordered the Croque Monsieur and I ordered the #97. I liked hers and she preferred mine so we swapped. The potato salad they brought with my 97 was just meh....the potatoes weren't cooked all the way and the mayo-yogurt based dressing was kind of a bummer, but the two different styles of pickles we ordered helped carry the sandwiches. Service was beyond excellent and we felt well taken care of.

I added the French onion soup for $11 and it was the perfect lunch. The soup was excellent, except there was way too much cheese! Half the bowl was cheese. I love that the flavor was there yet I had more broth than onions. Oddly enough, French onion soup is one of my favs, but I don't want to eat the onions! They have a great selection of coffee drinks. I got the iced sweet and salty with no vanilla syrup. It had a salted caramel cold foam atop of cold brew. I mixed it all up and had a deliciously creamy drink!
