Just picked up food today. I had been here before by recommendation of my sister in law. We were told to try the chilaquiles. They have their own style of chilaquiles with a creamy green sauce. These chilaquiles I crave, I just have a hard time catching them open as it's 6am-3pm mon-Saturday. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful in explaining options. I love when staff take the time to provide you with the options they offer versus leaving it to the customer as if we know the ins and out of the menu. Wow, this place was amazing. Decided to stop by since I was going to be in the area for an appointment. So glad that I did. Ordered the Spanish omelette with a side of potatoes and charro beans. All I can say is wow. The omelette was not only very filling and large, but also had great flavor. The amount of vegetables in the omelette was great . It was excellent. Been here a few times. Over all their food is pretty good. They are also very friendly and have a very small family run business feel. I would recommend their breakfast menu. Decent portions and good flavor. Their enchiladas are average if not a little below. My main issue with this place is their overall operational excellence. It really does not exist. Even if you order ahead, you cannot pay in advance. I stood in line to let them know I was there, but my order was not ready and they would not let me pay until it was. Once I heard my name called, i had to stand back in line to then pay and get my food. I probably stood in line about 20 min total and saw multiple customers go through the same headache. This is a simple process to fix. I gave them feedback but said they tried another way once but it didn't work. I don't think this is working either. This is a place I go for the food rather than the service. It's always very clean and efficient. Sometimes it seems as if customers are the lowest priority when matched against their rules. We tried Macho Taco, after a recommendation from a familiar member. I had the migas plate and she had the menudo both meals we're great and plentiful. We tried two of their salsas, main one was enough heat for her, I liked the roasted salsa. A big plus for us was that the food was not salty, allowing the customer to salt to taste is greatly appreciated. We highly recommend that you try it out, we'll be back soon. read more

The potatoes in their tacos are cooked perfectly, which makes my potato, egg, and bacon taco so delicious. Their green salsa is my favorite to add into my taco, it has just enough spice, but the taste totally rocks. We have brought family and friends and every time, it is a hit. Service is so friendly, and even when this place is crazy busy, they usually make an effort to stop by and ask how everything is, and when we are just sitting around talking after eating, they usually come and pick up our plates out of courtesy. It doesn't look like much from the outside but thiss great little Mexican resturant with a warm south austin feel is fantastic! They use real fresh ingredients for everything they make. Breakfast tacos are good. The barbacoa is my favorite! And that habenero green sauce is amazing! I want to put that stuff on everything! The hrs are a little weird as they are not open for dinner. Breakfast and lunch only. They are usually open til 3pm but I have been there and seen a sign taped to door and they close occasionally early.
