These guys are awesome. I cannot describe how great they have been consistently. I had a few issues with my Mac Pro (5,1) and a Thunderbolt Display. They troubleshooted both issues and were very technically competent and made sure to explain the problems to me before any repairs. Made an appointment for a battery replacement. Arrived on time and waited in line for roughly 15 minutes before someone asked if I'd been helped. When I explained I was there for my scheduled service, I was told "He's working on a screen replacement right now. It will be about an hour, is that ok?" No. It is not okay. Walked in (no appointment) with my wife's 2011 MacBook Pro laptop with a failed trackpad (could move cursor, but not select anything by pressing the trackpad). The technician hooked up an external mouse, enabled "tap to click" and showed her how to lightly tap the trackpad to select options. She avoided a lengthy and possibly costly repair (assuming parts are even still available). No charge! read more

One word: INCOMPETENT! Save yourself the time and the headache and go elsewhere! Went in on Saturday and was told my phone needed a new battery but the technician wasn't in due to car trouble but was advised to come back tomorrow and I could have it replaced then. Arrived Sunday at opening and was told the technician wouldn't be in until maybe Tuesday due to car trouble. I was also told that the customer service rep left me a voicemail on Saturday to inform me of the situation. Low and behold I have a missed call from an unknown phone number from Saturday night, but no message was left! How many people return phone calls from unknown numbers in which no message was left?! Go the extra mile and leave a message, it's good for business. Will not be returning. read more

Mac HQ came back and saved us THOUSANDS from what Micro Center wanted. They were kind and listened to us and made us feel confident in their work and they delivered and then some! Wanted to upgrade my 5-year-old MacBook Pro as I'm not in a situation to afford a new one right now. New storage and a battery were needed. I wasn't readily able to leave my computer with them for 24-48 hours either, so they came up with a plan for me to backup everything on an external drive and bring that in for them to update my hard drive ahead of time. It meant going in to the store an extra time, but it was worth it. Fortunately I don't live too far. They were extremely helpful and on the ball and now I have more storage and a new battery and didn't have to go anywhere near a mall. read more

I was ready to sign the contract, but there was a pretty big hickup; I didn't have any credit. Please shop around for repair outlets and make sure you read the info on your printed receipt otherwise you'll be in for a shocker. These guys think they are sleek. I dropped off my iMac in for diagnosis and data retrieval and they called me back after a few days telling me the logic board was bad and before I even asked about my data they were already offering to sell me another Mac. All they were interested in was selling me another Mac without even trying to transfer data from my Mac into an external drive. What a waste of my time. These guys are a bunch of 21st century unprofessional crooks. Why would I buy another Mac from them when I can drive less than 5 miles to an Apple Store to pick up a new one. read more

The staff was outstanding. Very helpful. My issue was a simple battery repair. They estimated 1.5 hours for the installation but it took less than an hour. The environment at the shop is far better than the crazy, intense environment at mall stores where it can be hard to find a seat. There are a couple of tables and chairs here where you can set up your laptop and wait for your repair to be completed if it's a same-day repair like mine. Staff also told me about computer for life program and other purchase options I wasn't aware of. Positive experience all the way around. read more

The workers at Mac HQ are incredible! I had to get a new hard-drive for my mac and they were able to install it and transfer all my data onto it within the day. I was told it could take up to 2 days for the install, but when I mentioned that I needed it ASAP for school, they were able to get it done for me within a few hours. They were genuinely concerned about my situation and interested in getting it back to me quickly! Truly amazing service and employees! MacHQ SCAM, BE ADVISED, Do not take your computer up here for diagnostics. My friend took her computer up here to get a replacement battery and they could not get the computer to turn on, so they ran so called "diagnostics" and said the computer had a $900 water damage repair. They charged her $80 to tell her this, $80!!! Please tell me what kind of diagnostics can you run on a dead laptop that costs $80. Take your mac to the apple store and don't get hosed by this company that likes to take advantage. The apple store does not charge you a trumped up $80 charge to tell you your computer has damage. If this is not resolved we will be taking this up with MasterCard and we are going to report you to the BBB! read more
