I would give this place 20 stars if I could. I spent 90 minutes yesterday at the Apple store in Southlake, only to leave frustrated and without my problem resolved. This morning, a friend suggested I check out MacDaddy's in old town Carrollton, and I called them first thing to ask if they could do a battery swap on my iPhone X. They said sure, stop by anytime. Y'all, I was in and out in 20 minutes! TWENTY MINUTES!! They changed the battery for half of what the Apple store was going to charge and even threw in a free screen protector! The young man who did the repair also patiently answered all my questions about two older MacBooks I'm having issues with. And I learned they have phenomenal deals on refurbished Apple products. I am 100% coming back ASAP to have them help with my laptops and upgrade one to a newer model. Highly highly recommend! read more

RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! I took a high-end mac to this story for repair, they said it was an easy fix, as it was obviously the "x" component, we see this trouble often and it would be so many hundreds of dollars and 4 days to fix. A week later "it was ready" Went over to pick up the computer and It was still having same issue and the issue was now something that parts were not available for. Another source indicates a different story. They quoted a computer to replace mine that had a fraction of the resources I need from a computer. I had a lot of hope for the successful repair of my computer here and had been led to believe this facility could make the repairs. So I get to follow a different thread now. I purchased two new MacBook pros from eBay, in the event there was an issue with one of them. The arrogance of the staff (Kala) is stifling, overpowering any actual competence. Customer service is sadly missing, because other clients are more important than my project, and he wouldn't allow me 5 minutes of his time to resolve this issue. There may be something they could do to resolve this, I don't know what that looks like. This situation is still running, and I hope to update this review as needed. So happy that I visited here before throwing away my $800+ iPad!! My iPad pro completely stopped working for no reason. Took it to the Best buy only to be told 'it's not repairable'. Apple basically said the same thing and I was sooooo sad. I remembered seeing this store when I was walking around the neighborhood so decided to give it a try. DO NOT GO HERE! This company and its owner lack integrity and do not care about their customers. We were sold a 2017 laptop advertised as 2019 and were told by the owner himself that it was the latest model. Of course, we know nothing about computers so we believed him. He seemed great at the beginning but once we realized he was sending us a different computer than advertised he began to treat us much differently. He called my wife impatient and crazy because she posted a negative review and he threatened to not work with us unless we take the post down (how insecure and unprofessional). He blocked us via texting/calling and Facebook. He's ducking from us and refuses to own up to his mistake. This business will likely fail soon anyway for its lack of integrity and unwillingness to help their clients. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, & IMMORAL!!! STAY AWAY FROM MACDADDYS AND KIRK PORTER! We decided to move our company to Apple and needed to find a good reputable source for equipment. We purchased several thousand dollars worth of equipment from Macdaddys. The customer service was great and Kaleb was friendly and made the process easy. The first batch of machines that run the core of the business were great and continue to perform flawlessly. I also purchased a 13 inch Macbook pro for the front office manager to use at home. I then purchased a 2019 16 inch Macbook pro for the owner. He has never used Apple products and needed to learn how to use them. I setup the 16 inch at his home with an external monitor and keyboard and left it docked. So we never used the actual keyboard. I understand that they have a 30 day return policy and now I am told they have an extended warranty option which was never offered. They say its posted on a sign but my mistake for not seeing the sign. I had planned to trade my personal 2017 pro in and get another 16 inch 2019 and was told they would give me 250 for it, but I spilled liquid into the keyboard and it fried the computer. I took possession of the 2019 from the owner (who has decided that he wants a new M2 Pro) and brought it home. The 6 Y H N and spacebar would not work unless you applied pressure to the bottom of the case. I called and was told they would look at it. Kaleb was again accommodating and said he fixed the issue which was a loose keyboard ribbon cable. While I was there I also talked to Kaleb and asked him if it was ok if we deal only with him because the owner Kirk was very standoffish and doesn't really seem like he cares about the customers. Kaleb told me to call him or text him directly and gave me a business card. He said Kirk has been running the business for 15 years and has grown tired of it and is letting him run the business. So I took the Mac back home and it worked for a day before the issue appeared again. I had to drive it all the way back to Carrollton and was told they needed to keep it. So they gave me a loaner (an old 2015 with no USB C ports) and it didn't even have MS Office on it (Which they include with every computer) so I couldn't use it to run the business remotely. Two days later I was told it was ready and the keyboard issue seems to be fixed. He said he had to double tape it down. But now my left speaker buzzes. I know from taking it to the Apple Store that it needs the top case to be replaced to make it right. So I texted Kaleb this morning and I asked for help. I told him I understand that we are outside of the 30 days and that I was never offered an extended warranty but given the business that we have done and were planning to do I asked him to make it right. My company takes care of the customer first no matter the impact on the business. I received a response back through text from Kirk and he said that we are outside of the 30 days and they have done "more than they normally do" and that if I don't like it then we can do business elsewhere. And then he texted me that this is a personal line and not to text it again. I responded that I was given the business card with the cell number on it and was told to text it. I told them I will just post a review of our experience and move on. He responded that if we put a negative review on his company that he will put 10 on ours and "damage our company way more than it would damage his". He then called me and told me that 'I am overweight, have no friends, and no one likes me so I should kill myself' and that If I want to go to war with him then we will. I have the texts and the audio recording if anyone is interested in hearing them. All I can say is stay as far away from this business as possible. They may have great deals and seem friendly when you are purchasing, but with an unstable owner and responses like that to customers who are trying to do business with them no one should ever even think of walking in that door. My 2011 Mac Book Pro was shutting down during start up. Since 2018 I've been trying to get it fixed because until this issue it worked perfectly. I took it to Apple & they were absolutely no help. I tried Micro Center & they charged me several hundred dollars & didn't fix the issue. I had almost given up on it when, by chance, I drove by MacDaddy's and decided to bring it to them since I had nothing to lose. They told me it was the logic board and replaced it. However, when they got the logic board replaced they realized it was not the logic board and my RAM had gone bad. They replaced the RAM & put the original logic board back in. The logic board would have been $490 and the RAM was only $50. The MacBook Pro runs like it's new. They didn't have to tell me it was only the RAM but they did. In addition to their level of expertise & product knowledge they are honest, courteous and helpful. I won't take any of my Apple products anywhere else. read more

Went in to get my phone screen repaired, took only 30 minutes and was a good price. However, the only guy working in there (not sure if he was manager, owner?) was not wearing a mask!!! Still a mask mandate here!!! Felt nervous to even get too close to him to give him my phone and then pick it up. Wasn't even wearing one around his chin or anything, just straight up nothing.
