I brought my LG UltraFine 5K monitor to Scott because the Thunderbolt connection was spotty. He tore it apart, cleaned it up, and even replaced the port itself, all in an effort to save me money. Alas, all that failed and he had to resort to buying a new logic board. Throughout the entire endeavor Scott staid in close contact with me through SMS and allowed me to choose how far I wanted to go with the repair. Now that I have the monitor back, it works better than when I first got it. The intermittent connection issues are gone, and as a bonus the new logic board must've fixed some damaged pixels in the upper right of the screen. They were subtle before so it was livable, but now they are gone completely. I can highly recommend Scott for whatever repair you have to your electronics. read more

My 2019 MacBook battery died and after being plugged in overnight, it still would not turn on. I went through Apple chat support and eventually had to schedule an appointment at the Apple store. I've been meaning to get it fixed for him but hate to think about how much it'd cost just to replace a screen so kept stalling on it. Finally discovered the option on Yelp where you can request a price quote from several businesses at once, straight from the app, save me the hassle of calling bunch of places up just to be disappointed to hear how expensive it'd be. I decided to send out the quote request to several places. Scott from SK was the first one to reply back to me within just a few minutes, it was even after hours too. After a few messages back and forth, we set the date and time for my dad to meet up with him to get the phone fixed. My dad completely stood him up. The poor guy waited and even asked around (since my dad doesn't really speak English). I felt so bad when I found out. Not only was he happy to reschedule the appointment again, he hooked my dad up with a new battery too. Don't let the fact that you might have to meet up with him at a Starbucks and he would "run off" somewhere to fix your phone (he'd leave you his phone so you have something to stay in touch with him) scare you away. I asked for an appointment he said 1230 in about an hour. i asked for address he said meet him at the Summer Moon at 1004 keller parkway. I drove by it was a coffee shop. I called him and he said we could meet there but he could not change battery there and sometimes batteries catch fire so they won't let him change batteries there. he said I could follow him to his home when was about 30 minutes. You won't find anyone better! I'm writing this review from my MacBook Pro that I thought was toast. Before reaching out to a local computer repair shop which I thought would be pricey -- I utilized the free Apple Support and an Apple Technician walked me through a script to figure out what was going on with my computer. The Apple Support Tech ultimately directed me to wipe my hard drive clean in order to see if that would solve the problem. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem and I lost all of my data.
