I overlooked a few things...like wrappers under the seats and a note to 'Alison' I found in a trunk compartment...not as clean as I thought. But mechanical issues started coming up. Buying used vehicles often comes with those, but they never seemed to end. The rims needed fixing because the tires kept going flat, the keyfob stopped working, stuff like that. THEN I go to get my oil changed and my mechanic discovers that the plug for my oil pan was held in with caulking. Shortly after that, I started having serious transmission problems. I couldn't get the Journey over 70 kms. Sometimes it just wouldn't start. It would eventually, but there was a gauntlet of things to do and check first. Sometimes it took three tries, sometimes it took ten minutes. I bought the Journey in September of 2019, and I just parked it permanently in July 2021. I'm mad at myself for not reading the Carfax. They gave me one without me having to ask, so I didn't worry about it. I took it in good faith. My bad. I had been happy with the service, but I'll never go back. Their mechanic SUCKS.

She also sold me a warranty that should have covered the cost but NO! She took that extra cash for the policy and put it in her pocket. "Oh I can take the car back and sell it at auction for you" she said. And get less that what I paid for it? No way. She won't help with the cost to fix it. I DO NOT recommend this place at all! Want to redeem yourself? You suck it up, especially if you want to get your credit back on track and do so with a vehicle at the same time. Yes, there is a mechanism installed by Carfinco where if you fail to make your car payments they have a control switch to shut your vehicle down. Due to unethical people who've skipped on their car payments, as well as town, and managed to keep a still operable vehicle they no longer have a right to possess. It's crude, but necessary. I've dealt with Carfinco through four different vehicle purchases. Carfinco is definitely not my top choice as a financing option, but you work with what you got as you continue to climb your way to better financial standing. The first two vehicles I obtained where Carfinco was concerned had me on that remote system where if I failed to pay I don't get to drive the car. Fortunately, I've never had to encounter that experience as I've made a point to keep up. The third and fourth vehicles didn't have such a device installed. By this point I earned enough trust with Carfinco to bypass this issue. Furthermore, the interest rates have gone down. I started off at the dreadful 29% and am now at 14%. Granted, 14% isn't the greatest financing rate available, but it is a step towards a direction a person needs to go in order to re-establish themselves as reliable in the cruel game of financing. I will admit their customer service skills aren't always ideal, but this is the case with every company on the planet. Some folks are better at establishing and maintaining ideal customer relations than others. Carfinco is no exception in this regard, but majority of the time when I've had to contact them I don't experience anything that would warrant me to bash them for that. I've had to defer my payments from time to time due to situations beyond my control. Again, like any other company, for as long as you communicate with them in a timely and respectable manner they will work with you. Keep in mind, like any other business, they have a company to run with responsibilities they cannot neglect either. They'll work with you for as long as you work with them. Despite the fact they do charge higher interest rates than the average bank, keep in mind it's their money they're using to help you get your vehicle. Just as you're putting enough trust in them to serve as your financial partner to obtain your vehicle, they're putting enough trust in you to pay back to them what is appropriately owed.

They also charge you 80.00. They have unbelievable requirements for your insurance information. I didn't even know I needed to update mine until I got a letter saying they were discontinuing my loan because I didn't know they needed my insurance updated. This company is aggressive. They have the highest fees and they are known to be the worst loan company in the country!

I found out I'm paying for a 2019 used vehicle (purchased last summer) and it's not even under my name! Sure the paperwork I signed with them says it's mine...Yet I was told by FCA Canada Headquarters that my vehicle I'm paying for is under a different ladies name! Had I not called to make a complaint about this company and the beyond poor customer service/warranty work, I'd be continuing to pay for a vehicle my names not on. No surprise my caseworker is also having a hard time contacting you about things. Trust the bad reviews on this place. You will never get customer service after you sign, just continous run around and ghosting. They don't do warranty work without a fight; when they do, it's not properly done if done at all. After almost having to involve my lawyer, they still didn't do things agreed and signed upon. The reviews complaining about wheel alignments are also true facts. I paid to have one done shortly after purchasing to have to pay for another around a month later after they had my vehicle This company chose to sell me an unreliable, broken vehicle. I gave you more than enough opportunity to right your wrongs. I gave you more than enough opportunity to work with me. You've chosen to continue your ways, I will continue with mine as l've told you. Being under investigation with FCA Canada Headquarters isn't the only worry you will have. We were extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and we never felt pressured. We decided to go ahead and purchase our new CRV and it was available for pickup when promised. The Financial Services Manager Mikias was a please to deal with and offered us protection packages. Mikias didn't pressure us to buy but we did purchase the extended warranty and a protection package. On our pickup day we were very excited and were given a thorough tour of our new vehicle. Our tech was Jona who explained the vehicle settings for the use of our hybrid. He even paired our phones for us! A big shout out to the team at Wheaton Honda. It appears more focused on generating revenue than accurately diagnosing and resolving issues. Their parts are also noticeably more expensive compared to other dealerships. Recommendations: * Obtain a second opinion from a reputable third-party mechanic before authorizing any major maintenance or repairs at Wheaton Honda. * Do not collect your vehicle or sign off on service without a proper walkthrough with service rep. Request a detailed review of the completed work with the service representative to ensure all issues have been adequately addressed * Exercise caution when relying on the assurances from the Service Manager (warranty stage) - Ensure all service details and commitments are documented in writing.
