We were greeted by Raj who answered our questions and provided us with all the options and available packages for the CRV series. We were extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and we never felt pressured. We decided to go ahead and purchase our new CRV and it was available for pickup when promised. The Financial Services Manager Mikias was a please to deal with and offered us protection packages. Mikias didn't pressure us to buy but we did purchase the extended warranty and a protection package. On our pickup day we were very excited and were given a thorough tour of our new vehicle. Based on my recent experience, the maintenance service at Wheaton Honda has been highly disappointing (detailed photo attached). It appears more focused on generating revenue than accurately diagnosing and resolving issues. Their parts are also noticeably more expensive compared to other dealerships. Recommendations: * Obtain a second opinion from a reputable third-party mechanic before authorizing any major maintenance or repairs at Wheaton Honda. * Do not collect your vehicle or sign off on service without a proper walkthrough with service rep. Request a detailed review of the completed work with the service representative to ensure all issues have been adequately addressed * Exercise caution when relying on the assurances from the Service Manager (warranty stage) - Ensure all service details and commitments are documented in writing. Everyone I met was friendly and polite. However, there was a failure to verbally disclose price details for options. I admit that I was not paying attention to the paperwork due to a painful injury I had experienced and the length of time the interviews took. Thus, I agreed to a number of expensive upgrades that I now regret. Then, within 25 km of leaving Wheaton in my purchased vehicle, the low tire pressure warning came on. Now I am questioning the pre-service that came with my used vehicle and I will be taking it to a trusted service for an inspection. This is the first time we had a bad experience in Honda, so disappointed and unprofessional. We went to Wheaton Honda to get a new car, we made a deal and thought everything was all good they send us to Finance and haven't done the transaction they said they will call the result. Eli/Ely called and asking for another DP and made our biweekly higher than we agreed in our negotiation that refer from Yasser who said a Finance Manager. We already told them that we will stick with what we dealt with agent Gary. Then 3-4days no call from them, then decided to go to diffrent dealer coz we're not sure if they are serious. We are asking for a refund for our DP coz it's not our fault we've been waiting for them but no calls. We kept calling them and leave a notes as well but they haven't callback they don't want to return our hard earn money. What a shame on them. My husband went there to get the money but they said they will direct it first to the GM. They're keep pointing finger, do your job guys so that you don't lose a customer. Took my under warranty less than 2-yr old Pilot in for service. Technician called and spoke to my wife and was extremely rude to her. I phoned and spoke with the Service Manager Yeap who was much more helpful than the technician. Still, despite being helpful, pawned me off to Honda Canada to deal with a registration if warranty issue. No offer to assist, no willingness to make a call. Waiting for their shuttle they are now 30 minutes late to pick me up with my kids - I phoned to ask about an update and was told by a service person "I'm not in a position to give you a time estimate!" With a rude tone. I will not be taking my Honda there again. Nor will I buy the new Pilot in 2020 I'm hoping to upgrade to from them. If Honda even gets my business I'll go elsewhere in the city. Our interactions with Wheaton have not been great, generally, but they are the closest dealer to our home. I feel like they are always hoity-toity in their interactions and do NOT exhibit a customer-first mentality. If you have a desire to be customer centric, prove it. I'm not sure this will get posted. I went to post a comment to the Quality Assurance Manager and he blocked me from making a comment. I told him before that every time I go in for service there is always something else needed to be done. The extras are between 300-800 extra dollars. I'm not sure if they are trying to rip me off or Honda's are really bad cars. Now they don't call us or text us when our vehicle is really. Usually car dealerships are full of super sleazy sales people (or at least in my experience they have been) but Millwoods Honda was decent. Wheaton Honda Edmonton's used car salespersons' responsiveness is just AWFUL. Emails with questions went unanswered, online chats not picked up, return phone call promises made but not kept. Two different people we talked to there; neither of them at all useful. Incompetent? Understaffed? Only want to deal with people who buy a car within 10 minutes of first contact? So much business they don't know what to do with it all? (Seems to me unlikely as the car we were interested in had been listed for at least a month.) And why am I, as a [potential] customer, having to spend MY time chasing THEM for answers? Instead of THEM being responsive to ME? I don't get it... The two girls sitting at the service desk inside the dealership did not say "Hi" to me, but instead just stared at me with a rude expression until I asked something. In a rude tone of voice, the one Informed me there is no shuttle on Saturday's. They did not explain my bill. The service itself seemed fine. I have no complains, however when I went to purchase a vehicle originally, when I was looking, I wandered around the parking lot for 15 min and no one approached me. Wheaton failed to disclose a latent defect in my Honda Odyssey - despite knowing there was a US class action about the issue and that there was a time limited warranty. Honda Canada eventually and fortunately honoured the warranty slightly after it had expired; however, Wheaton refused to acknowledge their wrongdoing ("the sales people don't know about technical service bulletins") and proposed many options to "help me" involving spending thousands of dollars on my already limited-worth van (due to the engine defect) or buying a new van - neither of which was feasible. They were condescending and patronizing - seemingly as a matter of company policy - all the while explaining how helpful they were trying to be. This review is for the service side, not the sales as I don't have any experience with them. I want to start by clarifying: I know NOTHING about cars. All I know is that mine is old (a 1992 Accord) and from time to time it needs a little help. I have taken my car to Mill Woods Honda twice and both times I have been extremely pleased with the quality of service I received. The first time when I took it in for a routine oil change I was told there was going to be a "long" wait of half-an-hour and they hoped that was okay. I can't believe they consider half-an-hour long. They finished right on time so there was no extra waiting for me. My second visit to the repair shop was after someone broke off my antenna when I left my car parked over night (who does that?!) Since it's an after-market part I did have to book an appointment but they were able to get me in fairly quickly. The repair only took a couple hours and when I picked up my car I noticed that they had even taken the time to clean it. Now that's service! I definitely recommend Mill Woods Honda to anyone who needs their Honda serviced. Their prices are fair and the staff members are all pleasant and helpful. read more

Just dropped my '17 Civic Sedan today. AC blowing hot air. Received a call from services manager now saying that they can't be sure that is a warranty covered problem or not. Freon discharge and recharge are covered only when a warranty covered part have a manufacturing defect. All over the internet, there's dozens of complains about the condenser / compressor being replaced under warranty due to a clear manufacturing defect on this part. When this defect is found, discharge and recharge is covered as well. However, despite the fact that they can't guarantee what was the cause of the Freon leak, they are still charging me for the discharge and recharge, but at the same time, can't tell me is its due to a manufacturing defect just yet, and that I have to wait for a couple of weeks, and CAN'T GUARANTEE that I would be reimbursed in the future if that's the case. Why do I need to pay upfront for a service that is covered under warranty in certain occasions if the technicians can't rule out if it's covered or not just yet? I don't mind paying, but I wanted to have the guarantee that if it's found that it's a warranty covered problem, that I would be reimbursed right away without any problems. read more

After attending a few different shops looking for a new vehicle we stop in here to look at the Fit. Ended up with good customer service and a great car. Bought it six months ago and wanted to wait for a bit til we gave a review here, but can tell you the car is fantastic and glad that we shopped around. One of the things that stuck out as a huge positive was this: we had been to multiple dealerships looking for a car and when we were chatting with the Honda sales guy we had let him know this and wanted to compare. We took the Fit out and checked out on a drive and came back, but said we were heading over to Toyota to check out a Matrix. Sales guy was awesome and said it was totally cool and even wished us luck. No haggle, no pressure, and no begging us to stay. Like zero. What a breath o fresh air as opposed to most sales agents who desperately try to gain your service as you leave; the experience here was excellent and after ultimately a terrible Toyota encounter, we returned back to the same sales guy to purchase the Fit. It was because he was honest, up front, and held zero pressure on us - that is the reason why we went back. Seems like common sense but dealing with so many car dealerships over the years I have become acclimatized to always taking to someone with an end game that differs from my best interest. Here at Honda, it was clear that the sales guys' best interest were congruent to ours. Very cool. We will be back down the road if and when we need to. read more

Don't waste your time stopping by for a used vehicle either. Seems they are "too busy" to update sites after they are already sold. Wouldn't buy a vehicle here. Beware of Service Dept ! My Odyssey in for first "major" service July, told "spool valve leaking" and it would cost less to replace since engine was already open, agreed to fix ($529). Then told the drive belt tensioner needed replacement and the power steering high pressure hose was leaking, about $900. Did not agree to fix. An independant Honda qualified shop & mechanic replaced the drive belt, tensioner did not need replacement, high pressure hose was dry, no leaks/seepage. Suspect "spool valve leaking" claim was bogus/unnecessary. Wheaton mechanic either incompetent or fraudulent. Wrote the G.M. Contacted by customer liaison person, wanted me to bring in van, told him I did not trust their mechanics and requested refund for the $529 spool valve replacement. Told no refund for work done. Posting so no one else experiences being told their vehicle requires unnecessary fixing/replacement. Get a 2nd opinion. read more

Originally this review would have been 4 stars (the first visit) but it definitely went downhill on our second visit. The point of us coming here was to cross shop some SUV's for my mother in law. The first time we came in, we were greeting promptly, and found a salesperson who was more than happy to answer any questions, and set us up with a test drive. I liked the fact that talking about finances were not involved, as it was never stated "we are here to BUY". MIL test drove a new CRV, and actually really liked it. The vehicle drove well, but there were a few minor concerns. No big deal, as we were cross shopping. Later in the week, MIL gave Wheaton a call to book another test drive, as she narrowed her choices down to two (and the Honda was one of them). When we arrived, the salesman who had joyously helped us before, seemed distant and irritated. The dealership was exceptionally busy and the vehicle we booked for a test drive was out with someone else. It was completely disorganized and we had to wait quite a while. However, their coffee was good. Needless to say, MIL decided to go elsewhere for her purchase. read more

He was incredibly rude and extremely arrogant. Talked down to me clearly as I am female. His answers to my questions were accompanied by rude facial expressions and visible annoyance. This is the situation: A senior female's Honda battery was dead, in spite of no drain from any parasitic source inside the car, and when she hooked it up to a trickle charger for charging it , it started emitting an alarming noise like rapid beeps in constant succession so she called to her local Wheaton Honda service mechanic and the first male agent took her contact info down and said she WILL get a call back in 1 hr. When no call back was received from Wheaton honda, the car owner called the dealership service department back and got Meghan Candy(?) who decidedly would not lift even a finger to try to answer or expedite this simple question for the distraught senior . She kept saying they are extremely busy and said they "don't diagnose over the phone" which is NOT at all what was expected of her. I personally recall that in the past, a friendly and decent mechanic at Honda (Felix?) answered basic questions readily and gave a range of suggestions for me on another matter, so I was dismayed and taken aback at her dismissive and categorical tone. Acting on behalf of my mother whose English is a second language I requested a manager or to speak to someone over her and she wouldn't transfer, kept saying she is the supervisor on! From my googling this exact problem it seemed like it could be hydrogen gas bubbles forming in the battery as it re-charges and may be known as a " ripple" sound - and I wanted to know if this is normal in batteries that go dead and are being re-charged on a trickle charger. But noooo, a yes/no answer from an actual mechanic who supposedly has training in these matters, that would expand too much effort on her part to arrange a mechanic to answer one question for a senior who is isolated and stuck at home due to battery that is dead. Previously a trickle charger made no such sound effects when the same trickle charger was attached, so we wanted to know if this is something that a mechanic has ever heard of before. The main issue however today with Wheaton Honda is the misleading aspect of their customer advisors who are giving contradictory and conflicting information out. Why would the first Wheaton Honda agent say the car owner will get a call back from a mechanic in 1 hr? What a disappointment and shame! Recently I needed a battery for an older vehicle. Nate at the parts desk was extremely helpful and very efficient.

On the day I was there it was overbooked, they didn't call when my car was done and I waited for almost 2 hours for the shuttle to pick me up. I called at 4, they said someone would come get me. I called again at 430 and the shuttle was on its way to get me. It finally arrived at 5:50. According to several employees I talked to this is not unusual. read more

Took my 3 year old car in this spring for the sheduled maintenance - oil and filter change and inspection. Declined the tire rotation, as going to remove the snow tires later this week, and cabin filter change. Good service and nice facility but super expensive. $200+ for what I got is outrageous. i have been here twice for repairs, and each and every time I have been there I have never actually had my car serviced. Maybe this is because of my own choices, but the lack of customer service and respect for my personal time I will never consider attempting to have my Honda serviced here again! The first time I went was in the spring after I had broken off my hood popping piece of plastic when my hood was frozen shut. I was told this part would be $200 plus about 3 hours of labour because the entire cable would need to be replaced. I ordered the part and never heard back from them. Even after calling a few times I never received a response about my part, whether it arrived, or whether I could have it replaced in my car. Thank goodness I didn't pay because I realized that was an expensive price for a plastic part that is not necessary because I can still pop my hood. My second experience occurred more recently this year and has made me swear to never consider using Millwoods Honda again. I had booked an appointment online two weeks in advance for first thing int he morning because I was heading out of town and needed to leave early in the afternoon. Since I had booked the appointment for 9 I figured i would be in and out by noon, maybe 1 at the latest. When I dropped of my keys they informed me they would need the car for the entire day and it would be a minimum of 5 hours to replace the belt and change my oil. They told me they would need the car for the entire day! I asked if they could do it in less time and they said possibly, but they would have to wait until a technician was available. I thought when I booked an appointment for 9AM and dropped my car off at 8:45AM they would start on my car at 9, so it would be finished earlier. Just to let everyone know, if you book an appointment at Millwoods Honda the appointment time is for you to meet with them, but they may not get to your car for a few hours, since the technicians are all busy. These two poor experiences have really left a bad taste in my mouth and I feel that I have received much better customer service, plus actual work on my car, for significantly reduced costs. read more

2010 to 2011 Honda accord have the same engine but 2011 uses 0w20 oil and 2010 recommends 5w20. All the sources online say 0w20 is okay to use in 2010 accords and one of the reasons Honda changed oil weight was for fuel efficiency hey Rick at the service desk gave me a hard time and smirked and was rude when I wanted a 0w20 synthetic oil change, even the service manager said to check my oil every time I fill the tank implying it would burn oil? All my sources which Rick discredited that I trust say 0w20 synthetic is superior oil so what's up with Wheaton Honda. Went with my mom to look into trading her car for a newer model. After deciding with the model, we were interested in getting a car starter. Our salesman, Brandon had told us that it wasn't his department and that we would have to go into finance to negotiate. We get to finance and everything was printed off already and it was clearly too late and when we mentioned the issue, the finance guy said that it was in fact, Brandon's department. My mom is not very outspoken and with the language barrier (our first language is Tagalog), it was difficult to express our opinions. On our pickup day, we were going over the statement and it mentioned that there was a "carry over charge" from her past lease which wasn't mentioned by Brandon when we made the deal. We spoke to the manager and he said there was nothing they can do. He justified the situation by stating that Brandon is in the top 3 for sales and is "very busy". However that should never be an excuse for non disclosure of fees. It was a disappointing experience overall, from all the good reviews they have received, we were hoping for some honesty and professionalism but got neither. Definitely speaking to BBB regarding this situation because dealerships are getting away without fully disclosing their fees. It's unfair and very misleading to the consumers. read more
