Paul Herrick Homes' track record and reliability contributed to making this dual pronged effort possible. He helped me find and negotiate ideal contracts under tight time constraints. His capable associate, Laica, kept me apprised and even collaborated with my adult children while I was in Europe (trip of a life time smack in the middle of a sell/buy situation). Throughout the journey, Paul demonstrated patience and understanding, kindness, expertise, and helped mitigate the inherent stress. All this was accomplished with dispatch short of 70 days. I highly recommend Paul to those who are looking for sterling service with the best possible outcome. Susan Mullee Herbert

We have, unfortunately, been very disappointed in the work quality of Total Construction Company…read more We hired them to remodel our master bathroom which had been ruined due to a leak in our home. When the project was completed, it felt like several corners had been cut to make the deadline. We wish better attention and work product had been given, even if it took a longer time: Tiling - the new tiling in the shower and tub was put in poorly. It concaves into the wall rather than being flush. Painting - the molding around the inside of the bathroom door was never repainted to match the new bathroom. TCC (Total Construction Company) replaced a recessed lighting fixture in the bathroom, but the patching/painting of the ceiling around it was done poorly and runs of paint are clearly visible when you look up in the bathroom. It appears that one of the screws to our GFCI outlets was removed and never replaced in the outlet when the outlet receptacle was removed for the painting. Toilet - We got a new toilet as part of the remodel, but water kept running uselessly through the tank costing us money in our water bill. At our request, TCC sent over a handyman who reset some of the innards of the water tank and explained that this should have been done by TCC's plumber when the toilet was installed, to keep water from being wasted. Vanity - After the bathroom was completed, I woke up at 5 am to find a puddle of water on the bathroom floor. When I opened our new vanity, the entire bottom of the main portion of the vanity had a layer of water covering it. Anytime the faucet was turned on, water sprayed out of the pipes under the sink! At our request, Total Construction sent in their plumber that same day. The plumber explained that the sink/faucet part comes with a plastic piece. If the piece is screwed in too tightly, it will break in response to the water pressure. If it is screwed in too loosely, water will leak. What needed to be done, the plumber told us, was to replace the piece with a metal part which could be purchased at Home Depot. I asked why this metal piece hadn't been used in the first place and he told me that the plastic piece is what comes with the sink fixture and so he uses it for cost effectiveness. If he's aware that that's an issue with sink fixtures (which he was), he should have purchased the extra piece in the first place, rather than installing poor materials that he knew could have bad results in our new bathroom. A few extra dollars would have saved a significant leak from occurring in the first place. This plumber is a contractor of Total Construction and so his choices/action reflect poorly on them and their mindset as a company. Caulking - The area between the tiling and top of the tub was originally filled with (I believe) tile grout. When I cleaned the tile (and also when I showered in the tub), I saw that this grout was coming off in threads. If the grout couldn't stand up to direct water/liquid contact, it should never have been used as a sealant around a tub. We spoke with another professional who informed us that silicone caulk, not tile grout, should have been used in the first place. At our request, TCC replaced the grout with caulk, which they should have done in the first place. Respect of space - My family and I temporarily moved out of our house while the bathroom was being remodeled. One night I came by and found a box of chicken tenders sitting in the microwave. It was 8 or 9 pm by that point so the chicken had been in there for hours. It was disgusting to find and have to clean up. Additionally, I also found dirty (i.e., containing paint) paintbrushes sitting in my clean kitchen sink. I have a work sink in my basement which the contractors should have known about since I showed them that area of my basement. But rather than using that work sink, they chose to leave dirty brushes with paint in my kitchen sink (which food and dishes frequently contact). Sink - When the bathroom was completed, I thoroughly cleaned the sink and found no issues. However, a plumber from TCC stopped by to fix a leak that we had identified (see above). I can't 100% say that this was him, but after he left, I noticed a visible chip on the top of our sink. I suspect a heavy tool was placed on the beautiful new sink, causing the chip. I think I would have noticed if the chip had been there prior to the plumber's arrival. TCC tried to patch the chip at my request, but the patch is still visible and will always be a blemish on the sink. While some of the above items have been rectified by TCC, none of them should have happened in the first place. When I pay a significant amount of money for a complete revamp, I expect a detailed level of care to go into the remodel. It felt like insufficient care was taken in the bathroom installation and corners were cut in the name of speed or saving money. We do not recommend this company and will not be using them for future projects.

Jin learned of our quick turn around house hunting trip from a foreign country and graciously without hesitation adjusted her schedule on short notice to meet and conduct an in-depth and relaxed interview of our wish list. Jin dedicated a number of days to meet with us on any potential homes to be viewed and did so in a punctual manner with a positive attitude. We ultimately selected a prebuilt home that checked a number of our personal wishlist boxes and Jin acted as our complete buyer advocate and was incredibly responsive in any questions and issues that needed to be addressed and resolved with both the builder and Mortgage Company. Jin was incredible from the initial introductory meeting and ultimately all the way to closing. We highly and without hesitation recommend Jin to anyone is search of a true Real Estate Professional who is in search of a great home!

While the home-buying process itself was smooth, our move-out experience was the complete opposite. As a family with young children, we were repeatedly questioned and made to feel uncomfortable over normal wear and tear......things like minor drywall nicks that are expected in any home with kids. These were already being addressed on our end with a contractor, as we had communicated. Despite agreeing to cover repairs and forfeit a $3,000 deposit, we were met with unnecessary comments and a level of aggression that felt unprofessional and unwarranted. It was especially disappointing given that we chose to work with her over many other options, expecting a level of trust and respect in return. We believe in accountability and were fully willing to take care of any legitimate damages....but respect and professionalism should go both ways. Based on this experience, we would not recommend doing business with Jin.

In July/August, we experienced a ceiling leak that caused significant damage throughout our home, impacting two bathrooms, the playroom, entryway hallway, and laundry room. After water mitigation and demolition were completed, we were left needing extensive repairs and full remodels of the affected areas. This was our first time dealing with a major home issue, and navigating insurance, contractors, and conflicting opinions felt overwhelming and stressful. I spoke with several contractors and received multiple estimates, but Alan stood out immediately. He was the first to respond and the first to give clear, straightforward, and honest answers. Beyond that, Alan is genuinely such a fun and easygoing person to work with, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. He has a great eye for design and prioritizes top-notch materials while still being realistic and respectful of budget. He guided us through the design process, helped with material selection, and made thoughtful recommendations every step of the way. Marlon and Emmanuel are incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and truly kind. They treated our home with care and always took the time to explain what they were doing, which made us feel confident and at ease throughout the process. Fast forward to today, we finally have our home back -- and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not having functional bathrooms and access to certain rooms for months took a toll on our family and our mental health. Click Construction stepped in during a very difficult time and helped restore not just our home, but our peace of mind. My only regret is not finding them sooner. I've attached before-and-after photos so you can see the incredible transformation for yourself. I highly recommend Click Construction to anyone looking for quality work, honesty, and a team that truly cares.
