My niece and I stopped by today. Lupita helped us match us to our perfect color. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Lupita ;)

My sister has been coming to Frankee Torres for many many years, and we have met a few times. It was such a privilege to have Frankee do my makeup (and a light touch for my girls) on my wedding day. She did it -exactly- as I wanted, so that I still felt like my best self and not someone else! I couldn't have been happier. Frankee is so sweet and knowledgeable. She is my go-to for questions and really knows how to recommend the best product to showcase your best self. I cannot recommend her more. I would give more stars if I could! read more

I have to thank Gigi for stopping me at checkout from buying the wrong shade of foundation! I've been wearing the same color since last summer and hello it's not summer anymore. It was too dark! She could have just let me go on about my day but she was a real one. Matched me for concealer too. I hadn't been wearing any because the one I had was too light! Gigi is A girls girl and helped me! You rock girl. Keep being great! read more

To Frankie and the ladies of MAC Cosmetics, there are no words to express my gratitude for the kindness shown to my mother when she received her makeover last October. The back story is in May of 2022 my mother was diagnosed with Leukemia and as with many cancer patients she began to lose her hair and decide to shave her head completely. My sister and I decided to treat her to a makeover to enhance her new look and we came to the Cerritos store to have a little fun and make mom feel good. Needless to say the outcome was more than what any of us could have imagined. My mother's illness would tire her easily but once her makeover was complete, you could not tell her anything! She was dancing and prancing around that store like a teenager getting her first makeover and heading to her first date. It was such a beautiful sight, my mom would be celebrating her 75th birthday in a few days and that makeover gave her new life. Her birthday party was a special celebration surrounded by family and friends and she looked so beautiful using the products we purchased from our visit from the store that day. Sadly enough my mom lost her battle with cancer on the day after Christmas. Frankie the time and special care you spent and showed towards my mom I'm eternally grateful to you. You gave her a glow and life that I had not seen since before her diagnosis. If everyone performed their jobs with such grace and kindness this world would be a much better place. Great customer service! Stephanie went above and beyond to show me multiple products and was extremely patient. I don't usually buy MAC but I must say I am so happy with my purchase today. Would recommend this MAC location to friends and family read more

I went on 02/03/2025 I wanted to return some items long story short the girl was adamant she needed my receipt and she couldn't pull up my transaction through my loyalty. (I called a different location because the whole point of the loyalty was you're able to return items in case you lose your receipt. That store said yes they are able to look up my transaction.) When I told the girl I called a different store she went as far as to say the store was lying to me. They make it so complicated just to return an item. Save your receipt otherwise they will not do a return for you and lie to your face. read more

Worst service ever. I came on Wednesday already knowing what I wanted so I went straight to the cash register. After I waited for her to ring up 2 customers, she then said for me to wait cuz she had to help 2 customers on the floor. She could've told me that before I waited for her to ring 2 customers. So I left & ordered it online to be delivered to store to avoid delivery fees. I went back today to pick up, went straight to register. One person was in front of me. It was taking forever. FINALLY, a person came out from the back but she wasn't going to help me... who has ALREADY PAID & just doing a quick pick up! She was going to help someone on the floor. This place needs more employees. I'll never go back! Shopping at Sephora from now on... read more

I always have a good experience at this store. Whether I'm purchasing something or coming in just to ask for a sample of a new product, I always feel welcomed at this location. Frankie, the assistant manager assisted me and she was very sweet and welcoming. This location has a nice layout as well. All the new products will always be featured at the front, which is what I usually come in for to swatch, etc. Love the Cerritos store!! Thanks Frankie read more

Terrible customer service. Honestly so shocked at the lack of courtesy and respect. Came in today, Saturday 7/6 around 1pm with my sister. There were 2 girls working, didn't get their names. We were in a hurry, my sister just needed to buy 1 lip liner. Went to the register to check out, one of the girls behind the counter asks my sister for the email associated with account. My sister says she doesn't have an email, and that she would just like to buy the lip liner. She proceeds to hand my sister a sheet of paper to write her email, and tells her "I'll be right back" and then goes to help another lady who just walked into the store?! We stood there so confused, waiting for her to come back so we could buy the lip liner and she didn't, she starts putting makeup on the other woman like she wasn't just talking to us?! Literally treated us like we were invisible. The other girl at the register went into the back room, and when she came back out we tried to tell her we were in a hurry and she cuts us off saying "I'm on my break" in a rude way then hurries to the back room to avoid talking to us any further. She also had food in her mouth behind the register and was chewing as she walked away. You guys can check your video cameras too, to see the interaction. We ended up leaving the store, and the girl didn't even look at us as we left. I understand that sometimes stores are understaffed, but that was beyond terrible customer service. It would have taken her 30 seconds to check us out. Management, train your employees. We will not return to this location. You're better off going to the MAC counter at Nordstrom or to Sephora where they know a thing or two about customer service. read more

Thanks to GiGi she was amazing she helped me on everything I needed when I arrived. Thank you Gigi.

MAC cosmetics workers are always terrible. They all have the attitude that they're better than everyone else for some reason. Maybe it's because they hide behind that thick mask. One girl working today on one customer for a good 20 minutes at the cash register. I asked her if anyone else was working and she said it's only her and I could come back later. Well isn't that a nice suggestion. COME BACK LATER LOL. I waited at the register and another girl came out. She decided to help a mother and daughter next to me and ignore me. Then after they finished another mother daughter walked up and she decided to ignore me again. The service here and the attitude is TERRIBLE. read more

I came in today and met Aly! She was AMAZING!! She's very passionate about her work and it shows! She gave me a PERFECT shade match. She's very thorough and asked about my routine and made a product recommendation. Her product knowledge is impressive as well. She's very friendly and made me feel very comfortable the entire time I was there. I walked out a very happy girl!! I got the Fix+ Spray, lip primer, and her recommendation was the Hyper Real serumizer. I'm so excited to try the serumizer, especially after she broke down the product and the use. I'm falling in love with Mac all over again and Aly is my go to girl now!! Go and see her, you won't regret it! Thanks Aly! read more

Marissa is a wonderful artist, and she's warm and friendly! She offered great advice about make up overall.

Aremi is very knowledgeable, super patient, and kind. This is my first time in a Mac store I had no clue about the products but she explained each one to me and what suited me best to my skin. As she demonstrated the products she explained what they were for and how to best use them. After just seeing the foundation matching my skin and seeing how healthy it looked it was a emotional moment for me and teared/cried from joy! I am so thankful and grateful I came to this store and met Aremi she was absolutely wonderful. The staff in this location are welcoming and very kind. *Blanca Vera read more

Came in to pick up a foundation and forgot what number I was since I recently changed my color. The lady working used her brush to try on a shade and the next morning I woke up to this monstrosity. I have sensitive skin, but I figured they clean their brushes in between clients I guess I was wrong. I spent over $100 my sister who spent significantly less then I was given a gift I was not offered anything. I guess my gift was the gift of adult acne.. I was also given the incorrect shade so I'm just going to return everything I purchased. read more

This location is always busy. So customer service may be hit or miss. The chances of the product that you want being in stock may also be hit or miss. Most recently I had a great encounter with a female employee (3.8.18). I was stoked to try the Studio Waterweight Concealer ($23 for 0.30 US oz). The end result is for a more natural finish. This employee found the correct shade for me. TIP: I usually apply this with a brush for fuller coverage. A little goes a long way. Select sheer/pressed powder ($28): Personally I don't use too much of this, but it does help to combat shine if you have oily skin. More importantly, it sets your foundation and concealer. I would say this has more of a matte finish that is more natural-looking. TIP: This product contains silica. I suggest using it sparingly to prevent "flashback" in photographs. Another tip: I use my own brush, but it comes with "its own suede-finish sponge." I wanted the same employee to check me out at the register, but she got swamped so she handed it to another chick. This girl entered my name & email address incorrectly into the rewards system. This after repeating them three different times. I wish she had shown me her computer beforehand, but thought she got it right. I love MAC products even though they may be on the pricier side because they are long lasting and offer great colors for all skin tones. '18 Challenge #38 read more

I just want to share. I traveled all the way down from Washington state just to see my friend and makeup artist, Frankee Torres. Her and I have been working together on my makeup for over 13 years and every year I travel down just so she can help me with my Halloween cosplay every year. She is an AMAZING artist and anyone who employs her at any makeup counter is lucky to have such a spectacular, hard working and talented lady. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to work with such an amazing crew at this MAC station here in Los Cerritos, California. I'm from Washington now, but I'll make the effort to keep coming down here! A+++ for hard workers and makeup talent. Thank you :) read more

I have been here numerous times over the past two or three years and I have never, ever once had a bad experience as stated by some of the other Yelpers. It even amazes me at some of the stuff I read about people's experiences here. Maybe people are too picky or I'm too laid back? Who knows but here goes my latest experience: It was a Saturday which means I expected a long wait and bad service but I was wrong! As soon as I walked in with my two teenage daughters, we were immediately helped and with a pretty smile and great service! I wish I knew the name of the two clerks who helped us and did my daughters makeup. One was a pretty petite Asian, she did my daughters makeup and made her feel like a movie star. The second one who helped us was a pretty blonde, very nice and the girls complimented me and my daughters, so thank you for the nice compliments and great service. We will be back for more, we are pleased with our purchases . Also, I wanted to point out that the male clerks who were there this past Saturday March 29 were very cool and very welcoming. One had tattoos, tall and very nice and funny. Like I said, service was great, not one single complaint from either me or my two daughters. Also, everyone else shopping today looked very happy..great service:) read more

Stopped by to check out the lipglosses. I picked one and was approached by a staff member who tried to sell me some other products. I said no thanks I just want to pay for the lipgloss so I can get going. She asks for my email and I'm like no thanks i don't want to give my info. She asks for my last name I'm like uh I said I don't want to give any info, I just want to buy the lipgloss she says ok and we start walking towards the registers when I'm intercepted by the assistant manager. She asks if I'm ready to check out. I say yes and she asks if I've ever tried the lipgloss I said not that color but I tried it on my wrist. She asks me for my email and I say no thanks again I'm just trying to pay and go. She says you should try it on with the tester and if you give your email you can return it if you don't like it. At this point I'm walking out and I tell her nevermind I'll purchase it online. She's stumbling over her words still trying to convince me to give her my email. Girl give it up! You just lost a purchase. Idk if it's Mac's policy to have associates get emails but they need to stop or they're going to continue to lose customers to the online market. read more

Yet again, another great experience at Mac. I have been a long time Mac chick and love coming to the store, as opposed to the counters. I know they are busy and some time it's hard to get help, but they are doing makeovers, helping customers, answering questions AND ring up customers. I suggest to make an appointment with a makeup artist, and they will give you more attention. Otherwise, walk around, try colors out, and ask for the products you desire! read more

Why oh why do I incessantly continue to punish myself?!?!?!? Am I a glutton for punishment??? Someone please point me to the nearest psych ward before I loose my mind!!!! Yelp please I beg of you please please allow for negative star ratings. Some places do not deserve a single star! And to move past the ranting, all I can say is that this MAC location has not changed much less improved their customer service. The employees come and go but they leave their detestable and arrogant attitudes like an odiferous pair of sneakers lingering behind to be picked up by the next generation of contemptuous employees. I repeatedly get ignored and passed over for the teenybopper wearing 10 layers of make-up that can literally be cut with a knife. If these MAC employees had half a brain they would realize that the better profit margin lies with an adult shopper who more than likely has better financial means to spend a rather substantial amount of money as opposed to the tween spending her allowance. But enough with the self-torture and pity party, I will NOT be returning to this location. Final words: avoid this location, shop online or go to the MAC counter inside Nordstrom's. read more

Yelp Challenge 2015 269/365 Mac is a gift from the make up gods. But with that comes a hefty price tag. Im not going to lie. You will walk in and drop $50 on 2 things. With 6 empty Mac containers you get a free lipstick, gloss od shadow. Thats the only good thing about that goes with the price tag. Located smack in the middle of the mall near Nordstroms. I park by the tire shop, cut through Macy's and walk through the mall. Service here is not so great. Maybe I was just unlucky. I guess you need to spell it out for them on what you want. I came in looking for a lipstick. I had no idea what lipstick. The girl just sent me to browse, then cleaned off the ones I wanted to try. What I really needed was for her to pull the ones that would look good on me. If you introduce me to something beautiful chances are, Im going to buy it. This place gets packed. Especially with young girls who try everything on with no intention of buying anything. Seriously they should have a time limit on how long one can just stand there looking at lipstick. Makeup itself is 4 stars Service 3 stars. read more

This review is particularly for Raul the store manager. He did my makeup in 2010 for my sons' baby shower and I looked absolutely flawless! Since then I got my makeup done by two other employees and 1. Made me look blah and the other put way too much makeup. 6 years later I was able to get Raul again for a wedding I was attending and never fails he did an amazing job! Was kinda bummed at the new makeup policy (you can't buy $50 worth of makeup anymore and get a free makeover). Now it's just a flat rate fee and you get a free mascara. BUT I still feel as though it was worth every penny. Raul is the BEST... read more

I have gone to numerous make up stores and have even gone to Mac many times but I've never had someone as helpful as Victoria. After meeting her, I will only come by if she's working. She was super helpful and provided me a lot of honest tips that I could use. She really understood what I was looking for and I never felt pressured to get anything. What can I say... All mac locations are pretty much the same unless you go on a Monday or Tuesday between opening and noon. The workers are not as helpful if you go when they are busy because it is all about sales, and they want you in and out. If you go during the not so busy hours, then you will notice that they take their time with you and help you with any questions you may have. Other than that I don't suggest going unless you need to pick up something really fast (know exactly what you want). Other than that the location is like all others, busy and the same set up and display. read more

Denise was very helpful! Ask for her the next time you're at this location. Sadly, I agree with a lot of these reviews explaining how terrible the customer service is at this location. I have been a faithful Mac customer since high school and honestly I have seen Mac's customer service plummet over the years! I do have to wait patiently for someone to assist me most of the time because even if i do ask for assistance, it takes a while for an employee to actually assist me. Now, back to Denise. She approached me right away! I went in looking for a lipstick and lip liner. She did not make me feel rushed at all. I tried on many different shades and liners. She kept handing me wipes and tissues. Often times the workers seem totally disinterested when I'm trying to talk to them but Denise seemed totally genuine and was able to give me some pointers. She took her time and that's what matters to me. This is what will keep bringing me to Mac. read more
