Everyone had so much fun getting their hair and makeup done with Jen and Georgia on my wedding day! Everything that my girls asked for in terms of hair and makeup style was accommodated and the artists made sure that we were okay with what was being used before continuing. It can be hard to know what makeup look you like, but they were proactive in asking different options that you can go with. Everyone looked still looked amazing after 90F weather ceremony and a night of dancing. We hired them pretty late, about a month out from our wedding, and as a queer couple with two brides, that is double the wedding party and Face It Sugar miss a single step. Speaking for myself, I only had a foggy idea of what I wanted and was very hesitant to have too much makeup on. I don't wear anything more than lotion and sunscreen on the day to day so I didn't want to feel ridiculous or heavy but when I saw my trial make up I was instantly in love with it. It was fabulous and just like they promised, it didn't feel heavy. This review is so overdue! I first booked Jen back in 2018 when I optimistically thought my wedding was happening in 2020. Jen is nothing short of amazing. She did my hair+makeup for my engagement pictures which is when I realized I needed her for my hair and makeup for our wedding. I hadn't seen Jen since our engagement pictures because of Covid, and came back to see her for a trial in August 2020. It was like seeing a friend. Jen has always been friendly, professional, and the best ever. At our wedding I forgot my hair piece, and she found me some flowers to use in its place. I also probably cried no less than three times while getting my makeup done because it rained that morning. It was middle of summer, 80 degrees the day before, with 0 change of rain, and it was our third wedding date after postponing so I was a little emotional. Jen talked me down, made me laugh, and wouldn't let anyone mention rain the duration of the day. It ended up not raining again, but I can't explain how much I appreciate Jen both for how she is as a person and for her hair+makeup skills. I love how she did my hair+makeup, and ended up recommending her to my new SIL, who also loved her and used her at her wedding. Jen did my hair+makeup there, as well, and it was the best again. I've had my hair and make up done by Face It Sugar on three occasions and all 3 times have be absolutely fabulous! Each time - I worked with a different stylist. Emmalee did my hair and makeup in July for an event I was attending. She worked with my naturally curly hair and did the cutest and most stylish up do ever! I absolutely loved it! She also did full airbrush make up on me and I got so many compliments all night. My makeup didn't move one bit - even with all my dancing. I just remember thinking -wow she's so good and soooo fast! I felt so very glamorous. Jenn came to my home and glammed me up for an on camera interview I had to do with a major TV network about a month ago. She set up a full salon in my home and worked her magic without batting an eye. She straightened and styled my naturally curly hair with ease. I will say that my hair stayed straight and frizz-free for about 3 days until I sadly had to wash it. I loved the way it turned out. The camera person at the station told me my make up was perfect for what they needed. I felt like I looked pretty on camera too. The funny thing is that I didn't feel like my make up was overly done in person, which is awesome because I typically don't wear much make up. Just about two weeks ago I had Georgia come out to do my hair and make up for a wedding. OMG! Talk about miracle worker!
