Restaurants are supposed to be smoke free in Nevada. That includes cigarettes, cigars, and vapping. Another patron was vaping and the manager and bartender saw it and didn't say anything. Totally disappointed. I don't appreciate eating my dinner and smelling his huge vape plume. read more

M3 Restaurant - Italian Near Me - Reno, Nevada

From the atmosphere to the service and the food, M3 does not disappoint! The mascarpone polenta is soo good, and the stuffed risotto balls with tomato cream sauce will have you thinking about them days after your meal. Food is good quality and flavorful. Highly recommend! read more

have never even seen this restaurant and i go to starbucks all the time. So my friends and I met for lunch. the atmosphere was great very comfortable pub type atmosphere. I ordered the vegetarian pannini with sweet potato fries and absolutely loved it and the 13 grain bread it came with. The service was a bit slow actually and i think she was assigned too many tables for a lunch service but she was polite and friendly. Recommend M3 . Gave it 4 stars only because I have had only one meal there so i am hard pressed to rate it outstanding with only having tried one meal.. Have to go back soon read more

Great hidden little gem in south Reno. Spicy muscles were great as well as the fresh roasted turkey breast Cobb salad. Well kept little place here. Seems the chef knows his business well. read more

My first time here could not have been better. I was seated as soon as I walked in and sat to wait for my friend. The menu had so many choices that all sound fantastic. It was hard to choose, but we opted for sandwiches that we could split. I got the flank steak on a jalapeño roll with mushrooms and crispy onion strings in the sandwich and sweet potato fries. This sandwich was so delicious, the steak was super tender and easy to bite into with each bite. My friend chose the prime rib dip with just the right amount of horseradish and a side of au jus. This sandwich was equally as tasty and the prime rib was tender and free of any fatty bites. The sweet potato fries were baked to perfection and came with a delicious cajun ketchup. The decor inside is very inviting with brick walls and modern metal art on the walls. We sat in the bar area where they have a few big screen TV's to watch sports, but it was not loud at all so it was nice. I can't wait to go back to try some other things on the menu like the goat cheese flat bread, the flank steak, and so many more to choose from. It has a casual atmosphere with friendly employees and the food came out pretty quickly. Please spread the word so we don't lose the wonderful restaurant that is centrally located with ample parking. You will not be disappointed. read more

A consistently good place for lunch. Good salads and good service. Relatively relaxing friendly place. Never had to wait for a table.

The first time I ate here it was the bomb. I wanted to so badly go back for a second time. This time I got the Stroganoff because everybody posted this was one of the best. I have to agree the meat itself was the bomb but after that the rest of it was very bland. If it wasn't for the mini roll that came with it I wouldn't of ate it. Had to put the bread in to get flavor. My other guest food wasn't good either the salmon tacos were very dry and the white Mac n cheese was very watery. I still have a 3 Star because it was just an average day. read more

Nice neighborhood bar & grill vibe. Service is top-notch, but not overbearing. The French Onion Soup (special) is divine; I wish it was on the regular menu. The charred tomato bruschetta skillet with burrata is wonderful and great for sharing. They have fried green tomatoes year-round and they are crispy and delicious on their own as an appetizer or on a panini sandwich. There is so much good-looking stuff on the menu that I want to try. The desserts I've tried are a little too intense, and I usually regret ordering one, even to share, just because I've already eaten too much good stuff. read more

Three stars because the food is good, and we usually have an excellent experience overall, but the other day we came for a birthday lunch and it was super disappointing. My husband and I come here probably two times a month for dinner because the food is great and the servers and bartenders are awesome, so naturally i wanted to come here for my birthday. We were sat by the hostess and waited about ten minutes before anyone came to our table. Ordered drinks and then waited another ten minutes or so. I totally understand if it's busy! But when there's only about 5 or 6 other tables and it's 1:45pm, there's not really any excuse for that, especially when I can see our drinks waiting to be picked up by the server. I ordered a M3 Caprese salad and was asked what kind of dressing. I said the balsamic because that's what it said on the menu. Our server gave me a weird look and said "the lemon balsamic?" And I said oh no thanks, just the regular balsamic. No big deal. I also asked for a glass of water at this time. I was served the wrong salad, this one had lettuce, walnuts and blue cheese. Super boring and I'm not sure which one it was supposed to be. I waited for our server to come back to let her know, it's not a big deal and happens at restaurants- I'm also a sever so I totally get it- but she never came back. And I didn't even see her walking around so I couldn't flag her down. I just ate a couple bites and shrugged my shoulders. At this point, our drinks are empty and I still haven't gotten a water because she was nowhere to be seen. We ended up leaving cash on the table and going because we had an appointment. This just doesn't seem like the service that I'm used to with M3. Maybe she was new or was having a bad day, but it was pretty disappointing for my birthday. We'll be back for sure, but hopefully not in her section. read more

Had been here before and the service and food were good, so decided to take a friend today. Very disappointing. Service was super slow.... it took 45 minutes to get two cob salads. Mine was nearly half again as big as my friends. The bacon was so over cooked it was rock hard, and the grilled chicken was barely lukewarm. Took another 10 minutes to get change for a bill. Over 2 hours spent here for lunch that consisted of salad. At $40 for two salads and drinks,we were underwhelmed. We won't be back. read more

Showed up at M3 at 10:20pm for a night cap with a group of friends and was rudely turned away by the female bartender stating that they were closed. When the sign and website clearly stated they were open until midnight. As we were leaving more people were showing up to only be turned away as we were. We were very disappointed and will not be returning to this establishment. read more

Stopped by for a quick late night dinner. Even tho it was right before closing they graciously seated us and made us feel welcome. Mussels with chorizo were delish, Caesar salad was fine and the Mediterranean skillet rounded out the meal. We'll definitely be back read more

Excellent food, excellent service! The new restaurant is beautiful inside and very comfortable to eat at. Although it was packed and busy the night we went, noise level was not overwhelming. Our dishes were flavorful and delicious. Bill the manager was extremely warm, friendly, and professional. In a nutshell, this place has good food at a reasonable price. It's fresh, tasty, well-prepared food at a similar price point to institutional garbage like Chilis and Applebees. This place is right around the corner from home, so we stop in fairly regularly when we don't feel like cooking. I'm tempted to give them 5 stars, but for some reason, I just can't bring myself to do it (yet). Service has always been efficient and pleasant, and the food is consistently original and good. Nice reasonably priced wine list and decent beer selection usually featuring something brewed here in Reno. Consider this a 4+ star review until my next visit. read more

Have had good simple lunches there before with good service. Took my wife for her first time and it took a turn for the worse. Third couple there and took order within five minutes. 40 minuets later place was filling up and orders were being filled while we drank water. Walked out of restaurant due to amount of time taking but mostly due to total lack NOT being told what the delay was. Will not return due to this. This is just my first visit to M3 and we didn't eat only drinks at the bar. But our bartender was fantastic with us. She made sure to pay attention to us and never let us sit without a full glass even though it was a busy Fri night and was quite busy. I have just moved to the area and happen to be barley a block away. I will be happy to review the food soon, I just got to get my butt in a chair there lol! read more

Recently heard about this place for the first time. Have been a couple times now and have yet to have a bad experience. The food has been top notch each time and the iced tea is incredible. Service wasn't great on the first visit but other than that service has been good. Order the BBQ Burger! read more

My husband and I have eaten at M3 at least six times, and each meal has been delicious. The mini tacos with braised beef are a meal, as is the quesadilla. I recommend ordering them with a side of M3's slaw, which is a fresh blend of apples, carrots and cabbage. The Pasta Rustico is outstanding and something you can't get anywhere else. We've tried three sandwiches: lamb burger, prime rib dip and bacon & cheese melt. We recommend all of them. I'll gladly add the 5th star as soon as they develop a cocktail menu. :) read more

Not to be confused with the souped-up compact, high-performance superlative of German engineering manufactured by the motorsports division of BMW, with a twin-turbocharged, intercooled DOHC 24-valve inline-6, aluminum block and head, direct fuel injection engine producing 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, or a 59-mile English motorway expediting Londoners retreat to the Isle of Wight off the coast of South England, a popular weekend seaside holiday island with quaint cottage towns and seagull-infested beaches, M3 in Reno is a nice, cozy restaurant on South McCarran alluding to the third collection of Moxie restaurants. Perhaps trying to distance itself from its brand, it has a different menu than the other Moxie's and much less aggressive view than the Caughlin Ranch incarnation. A product of its neighborhood, the place fits in perfectly with its demographic. Besides all-you-can-eat sushi and a collage of ethnic restaurants, fast food, and casinos, Reno restaurants tend to fall into two major categories each reflecting the generation, income, and mentality of its customers. Most restaurants that have recently opened, Reno Provisions, Craft Depot, Centro, fall into the organic, hipster, Millennial-Gen X group. However, in bigger cities, this group has more money, whether Dot-comers or yuppies, everything on the menu is expensive and organic including the cocktails. This group is perhaps the most sophisticated and knowledgeable about food and drinks than any other, perhaps in the history of dining and drinking. They are a demanding group who aggressively review places and share their experiences on the Internet and make snarky sarcastic comments when treated brusquely or suffering over-cooked, organic grass-fed Wallaby. In Reno, they tend to be unemployed, so invariably, they often complain about high prices. In Reno, you'll actually find a lot more Gen X and hip Baby Boomers at what would otherwise be hipster grottos. These restaurants are ugly, industrial, bare brick walls, exposed rafters and HVAC, aggressively wooded, hard, sharp-edged, and deafening. It is almost designed to produce a sharp contrast with the quality and attention that goes into the food, or as I like to say, coddle the animal and torture the human versus Applebee's where you coddle the human and torture the animal. The décor is more minimalist, aloof Northern European. The second group are older Gen X and Baby Boomers. In Reno, there are two subgroups, the locals and the Californians. The locals go to Pinnochio's, Zozo's, 4th St Bistro, Moxie's, and other long-time, established places while the Californians go to chains like Olive Garden and Applebee's or any upscale Italian or steakhouse for the wealthier ones. Besides sushi, Reno has an abundance of Italian places reflecting the heritage of Italian farmers (as well as Italian Chicago and New York ties). The décor is derivative, what I call the Olive Garden look, a cheap, Disneyfication of rustic Tuscan with 50 shades of coffee. This is Napa-Sonoma and M3 décor. Hey, I'm not dissing, just observing. Maybe you like that? It's comforting, soothing, quiet, warm, and cozy. You hear conversation in the background like a mild humming instead of shrieking and bellowing in a hipster grotto. Unfortunately, the food is rarely grass-fed, hormone-free, organic, free-range, hand-massaged. The wine list is predictable, Rombauer, Kendall-Jackson, Ferrari-Carano, Mondavi, Truchard, Butter, any number of animals leaping. The menu here is Italian-influenced, extensive and eclectic including pasta, steaks, Cioppino, bruschetta skillets, flat bread, panini, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. The food and service are good. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm. Southwest Reno is a big area with big income underserved by restaurants and bars, so I am sure M3 will do just fine serving the neighborhood. The bar is separated by a semi-wall and also has video poker in typical Reno style. The glass-wall stairway down to the restroom reminds me of the Wild Orchid. Being in the middle of Millennials and Baby Boomers, perhaps what I really want is a restaurant with Baby Boomer décor and ambiance with Millennial organic food and craft beer and cocktails. Is that possible? read more

Great service and delicious food. Sat at the bar and was very well taken care of. The salads are delicious and the fajitas are so rich & flavorful with a generous portion! I love this place! Very clean and upscale but still casual. I like to sit at the bar because Natalie is the bartender and she is amazing! She cracks me up. I am very partial to the soups. Everytime I come, I always have a cup. Last time I had a side salad to go with my soup and it was surprisingly delicious for just a little salad. My favorite soups are the tomato bisque, chicken orzo and chicken tortilla. I also love the Risotto balls! Little balls of heaven. read more

Two stars for cold beer and pleasant service. Took the servers advice and ordered the fried green tomato panini with cream of artichoke soup. The soup was made with marinated artichoke hearts which made for an odd flavor. The panini wasn't hot, which isn't good when eating fried anything and the sauce was minuscule at best. Wanted to like this place since it's down the hill from my house but my husband's lunch was also bland. Bummer for us but apparently we are in the monitory. read more

After reading reviews I was super excited about trying this place. We arrived about 5:30 on a weeknight and were seated immediately. The menu was a tad overwhelming in a good way, but almost bad. There are a lot of options. I went with a recommendation from the server and ordered the shrimp and grits, my companion ordered some sort of chicken dish I think. I say I think because we didn't actually get our orders. A few minutes after ordering we learned their gas had gone out. They were beyond apologetic for something completely out of their control. They offered to buy us drinks at their other location if we wished to travel. We opted to stay and I ordered a wedge salad and my friend opted for a panini (no gas required to heat it). The wedge salad was absurdly big and quite tasty. Definitely a meal, for those that think a salad can't be filling. The panini was standard, nothing to write home about. The service was great as is the ambiance. I will definitely give this place another try, read more

I went here on a Friday night and was happy to get a table right away. Co workers told me about this place and after looking on Yelp I knew I had to check it out! It was fantastic! I got the chicken piccata and it was full of flavor and three big pieces of chicken. I was stuffed after I finished. My boyfriend got the flat iron steak and it equally had amazing flavor. You could taste the marinade. For dessert we got the key lime pie and my oh my I wish we didn't split one, I wanted it all to myself! Half way through my meal I was already saying I wanted to come back. The menu is big and I wanted to try everything. read more

A friend recommended this place to me for dinner this weekend. Since the Covid 19 shutdown, I needed to takeout and I called to order. The lady on the phone was friendly, courteous, and informative. Had difficulty finding this place. at first thought it was at the tennis club across the street. (Looks like they also have an interesting restaurant to try next time. And you can sit out on the terrace and watch the tennis matches!) Liked the ambiance of M3. We were hungry but not famished so did not order appetizers. My fellow diner ordered a chicken dish that was much more tasty than my salmon with quinoa. The salmon was a thin piece and very overcooked, therefore quite tasteless. The quinoa was apparently unseasoned as it even needed salt and I am not one to usually salt my meal. The service was pretty good, the meal came out very quickly. I will give them one more chance to wow me! The prices are too steep to not be totally satisfied with your meal. read more

The hours on google and yelp are wrong, the door just says "late night" we went on a Sunday night at nine because google said they were open until midnight, but the kitchen was already closed. This month (September 19, 2015), my friend's and I tried M3 for the girl's supper. We had made reservations ahead of time and were seated promptly. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Parking is good. No outdoor seating, which we love to use if the weather permits. Nice bar area to wait for your party and/or just to have drinks. The food was very good and the flavors blended well. If we had any complaints it's that the bathrooms are downstairs, they don't accept split checks under any circumstances and there was a big chalkboard sign for the elevator that said, 'elevator for use by those that need it only' (or something to that effect. A small sign on the wall would suffice. As it was, the people facing the sign said that it was very distracting due to its 'largeness'. read more
