Pasta Fresca's lasagna is my newest obsession. I can't stop thinking about it. It's the perfect meal. Their pasta is so fresh and delicious. The service is always great. I love the ambience of both locations, this one is a little bit more casual.

I've been to the original a few times and this is the first time at the new location. Definitely have a lot more space to work with accommodate large parties. Staff was very attentive and helpful, service was great. Menu seems pretty much the same to me. Burrata was well seasoned and disappeared quickly. I recommend anything with the vodka sauce, it's my go to option. They do offer specials off menu that they show on an iPad. Nice to see what the specials look like. One difference is that they serve two smaller cannolis instead of the single larger one, but still tastes great. Great place to go for simple and tasty house made pasta!

The food service and price was so mid compared to cost. It took 3 hours start and finish with only 3 other people in the restaurant. It's okay if the food was so good to cook but no. Our drinks stayed low and the food was so mid for how long it took and the price. If the service was good, and the food was cheaper it would be much more fair. But at the cost and what you get it was not worth coming back for. There's so many alternatives for good pasta in Reno that this doesn't make the cut for my go to restaurants. Edit: I love the sass, maybe if you emphasized the freshness i just assume it's Cisco because trust me you can taste fresh at Gastropub or other restaurants. But compound better service with the price and it will be good. Desert was great but once again for the price serving in plastic cups seemed off. Honestly if service was better I wouldn't bat an eye. But the combo of the whole experience and a 100$ check didn't add up

Mmhhhmmmmm this place doesn't play around. We had the bolognese, which was good, but then fallowed with the raviolis; which was probe the best pasta dish I've had in Reno ever. In the privacy of my home I would have licked the plate clean. The ambiance is nice enough it's a cute date spot but casual enough to make it a good friend spot too.

Fusilli pasta with vodka sauce and sausage. So good!

The fusilli pasta with the vodka sauce and sausage was sooooooo good!!! I can't wait to go back and order it again. Our server was very polite and everything came out fast and hot! I'll definitely be back when I'm ready for another comfort meal. I also like that you can purchase their pastas and sauces separately to take home.

What a great find in SW Reno. Wife had us go based on YELP reviews and they were spot on, 5 star all the way!!! All of the pasta is made fresh with varying specials all of the time. We had the vodka sauce-great flavor and spice. I had the arriabata with sausage and it was awesome. Good wine and beer selection, though they didn't have a Chianti by the glass. Went with an Abruzzo instead. Some great Italian beers as well. No desert this time but we'll be back. Pasta and sauces sold to go if you want to impress your friends.

First of all, this a little bit more of an upscale Italian place, so change that shirt and put your pinky up. Oh, and make reservations if you have more than 2 people. We did not make reservations, but they got us right it, and it was so nice. Sometimes tables for 2 are just a little bit too small, this one was perfect. The staff are very presentable and kind, and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. If you like ice for your water you can ask for it, but if comes just cold in the bottle. The prices are fair, I was expecting them to be higher for the atmosphere. I'm guessing they make some if not all of their own noodles. I didn't see meatballs on the menu, so I added sausage to my delicious pasta plate. It was such a nice dinner, I was glad they got us in.

Salmon special with pesto substitution for vodka cream sauce.
    Michelle B.

First of all, be prepared for the fact that this is a strip mall restaurant and it doesn't have any frills so if you want the ambiance or the Italian experience, you will be disappointed. That being said, considering that everything was booked for Valentine's Day by the time we looked for reservations a week ago, it was a decent substitution. The main thing I love is that everything is locally sourced and homemade. This alone warrants a visit. Support local!! You can even see they grow the garnishes themselves. Our food was pretty good and the price was somewhat reasonable. The portions do reflect that, however so be prepared for an average size meal. My husband had the spaghetti bolognese but he is a bit of a heathen and didn't like that the sauce is more traditional made with real tomatoes instead of a boiled down sauce. The meat was plentiful and he liked it. He loved his spaghetti noodles and could tell they made the noodles themselves. His only complaint was that there wasn't enough actual sauce to coat the noodles. He will live though. I ordered the salmon special which was $34 and substituted pesto for the vodka cream sauce (can't have tomatoes). I asked about pesto when I booked and expected a traditional pesto. This is more of a parmesan cream with a undertone of basil and I think a hint of lemon. It was tasty but it might be a good idea to explain that when someone orders it. The menu items should also say creamy pesto just to balance expectations. My salmon was perfectly cooked. This shouldn't be a highlight, but more often than not. Places tend to overcook salmon, which ruins the flavor and texture. This was perfectly soft and flaked, a light flavor except the parts with whole pieces of shaved garlic. Those were my favorite bites and they did not skimp on the capers. Yum! We automatically ask for no chili flakes on anything regardless of what the menus say because chefs love to add it for color, but they genuinely do serve everything with chili flakes per our server. So let them know if you can't have anything with heat. We opted not to have dessert but they had the cutest heart shaped tiramisu in the dessert case. You'll probably like this better as a to go restaurant or a quick service kindof meal. I would really like to try the raviolis, and hopefully I'll be able to next time. I initially chose between the lobster ravioli with cream sauce and the salmon which I ended up getting. It's the first time i've actually had real tasting homemade pasta since having Original Joe's in San Francisco so I imagine the ravioli will be bomb.

I think I ate most of this dish. Love me some calamari! Toasted Focaccia Bruschetta - Hit for our group. I enjoyed it also, but the calamari was still my favorite. Complimentary Bread - So good!! Always a favorite. We always have to get seconds. If you want 3rds, it comes with a $4 upcharge, but that is still worth it in my book. House Salads - Nothing special, but also not bad. Cup of Egg Drop Soup - One of our guests wanted to try this; $5 upcharge. Linguine & Clams - Both in white and red sauce. My choice was the red sauce. I kept forgetting that this comes with BABY clams as I prefer larger clams, and actually if it was still in the shell, that would be an extra plus. NOTE to self, do not keep getting this... Even though they do not take reservations, we were seated pretty quickly, which was a pleasant surprise for a busy Friday evening. It feels like true dining in the heart of Reno, thoughtful and cozy without feeling pretentious. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and honestly loved everything. The pickled seasonal vegetables were bright and refreshing and a great way to start the meal. The meatballs were tender and comforting, the suppli were crispy and rich, and the fried seafood was light and well executed without being greasy. We also shared the bruschetta, which was simple, fresh, and nicely balanced. For mains, we had the gnocchi al pesto and the rigatoni with beef ragu. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy with a vibrant, fresh pesto, and the beef ragu was deeply flavorful and hearty without being heavy. Both dishes felt well thought out and satisfying. So much so that I have to wonder if it's an intentional design choice. I always thought plates like that were considered unsanitary, but maybe standards have changed since I took food safety training.

The homemade ravioli are to die for, the meatball is huge and absolutely amazing, and the thinly sliced garlic bread is so good you'll want more. Staff was nice and welcoming too. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to!

I had heard the name before when I was looking for some Italian food, raviolis, meatballs, and lasagna... but the name for your club didn't ever trigger my thoughts of an homeschool Italian restaurant. We didn't have reservations. It was Tuesday evening and I thought ' it's Tuesday, probably don't need reservations' but the place was packed. Luckily some people just leave in the bar, and you can eat at the bar. Take a minute for the guy to clear the bar off. He asked us for a drink order, and I noticed everybody was drinking pretty much drinking the same thing: Picon Punch. So I ordered two of these right off. Bartender was hospital and friendly. The bar was packed, people were standing all around, restaurant was packed. The next thing I have to say : parking... there's no street parking, there's a small parking lot next to the restaurant, and I got lucky someone was leaving when we pulled in. We ordered : 2 x Picon Punch Mai Tai Valentine special 1/2 & 1/2 which lasagne and raviolis Spaghetti and extra meatballs Garlic bread Food came out pretty quickly. Wholesome comfort food. Large portions (we had to take a lot of food.) The only critique I would have is the amount of meat/protein. They really just wasn't a lot of of it. Lots of pasta, lots of sauce, but very little protein. It was delicious though. Will definitely come back.

Wow! It's my birthday ! My wife took me to lunch, and we have been dying to try this place!…read moreA bit pricey for regular dining, but a birthday is a celebration! What caught my eye is the Prime Rib Dip sandwich for $22.00, and my wife ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich. Now I have to say my expectations were high, a sandwich for $22.00, but Prime Rib, yeah baby! When are food came my Prime Rib looked like it stayed to long in the Sun-bed, brown and dry like a piece of jerky and a sparing amount of meat. How could you do that to a piece of prime rib? The bun was just as spectacular as the meat, nothing to write home about! Maybe a new cook? From Bully's? I don't know ‍ I choked down half the sandwich and asked for a box, my golden doodle might eat the rest. I asked my wife hoping hers was better? No it wasn't, dried out chicken, almost like chicken cooked from another day she said! Don't think we will be back, especially for bar food that is trying to be slipped off as high end restaurant food! Pass!!!

The venue is very nice: warm decor, comfprtable variety of table and bar seating. Short wait at the door for someone to offer to seat us. Longer wait at the table for a server to show and take drink orders. Pleasantly supprised at the lower cost of beers and wine. Even longer wait for a glass of wine and a draft to arrive. The Fish-and-Chips did turn out to be excellent - a light and crsipy batter over very fresh cod. Looked like home-made tartar sauce. Fries were good but might have benefitted from a little salt (and none available on the table). The clam chowder (which has several good reviews on Yelp) was only fair. No potatoes to speak of and carrots -- WHY? The Turkey Club was definitely not a club sandwich with three layers, but the turkey was tasty and the sandwich delicious; maybe a littel overpriced at $18. The menu has some very interesting selections, so we will return to try other dishes and hope that they are as good as the FIsh-and-Chips!
