Folks, here's an honest review from one happy customer and someone who's known Doug for many years. 40+ yrs Doug is a sweet, down to earth gentlemen that knows his $h!t on just about everything. He can work on bicycles that many know him by, but he is so much more on motorcycles, race bikes, off road bikes and quads. Not many know he is a Salinas native whom at one time was an AMA Super-bike Champion Bad A$$ that toured the world.... I am honored to have him as my personal mechanic on my 93 GSXR 1100 for all my personal needs. I trust NO ONE to work on my toys but rest assured you can trust Doug to get things running right and done right the first time. I have been coming to Ben's shop for a few years now and this review is long overdue. The first…read moretime I came to see Ben and Nikya was for a simple set of tires, but the friendly, expert service and fair prices keep me coming back again and again. He changed my tires and pointed out a weeping seal on my final drive. He mentioned it would be an easy job I could tackle myself but offered to take care of it if I wasn't up to it. Ben really listens to you and while he is great at pointing out things that need addressing he does so in a helpful way and is never pushy when recommending any work. He knows these bikes like the back of his hand and is an absolute wealth of knowledge. He encourages me to do my own maintenance and has given me confidence in my own ability to wrench on my bike. He lets me pick his brain about even the smallest details. My bike has never ran better than it does today, and I owe it all to Ben. Ben and Nikya run a clean shop and continually exceed my expectations with great work and excellent customer service. I have to laugh at the guy from Pebble Beach with the one star review. This isn't the peninsula, bro, if you need something you need politely ask. This shop is a no-nonsense, old-school shop. They don't have a ton of inventory, but if it comes from Honda, these guys can get it for you. They also can get stuff through the typical distribution channels that supply all the other shops. I just wish Honda made a bike I like, but thats another story. For now I use Cycle Stop for ALL of my moto needs, Honda or not. We're getting a Trail 125 for the wife this year and Mike will be the only guy I'd get it from. My only issue with them, is that I always plan to stop in for some Motul800 and wind up talking to them for an hour. That gets me in more trouble than the spending.
