Brought my bike in to get my forks serviced and couldn't be happier. Super genuine people and great customer service.

Rooster Wheels seems to be more of a mobile service now as their Marina location is currently closed. Izzy came to me to work on my bike. William and Izzy were very helpful and responsive. They installed my e-bike kit and then followed up to make sure everything was working properly. Definitely will be calling them again for my future bike repair needs.

Perhaps the bigger places prey on tourists but Rooster Wheels Bike Shop is a true hole-in-a-wall in the best sense possible. On a random weekday afternoon, we got there as a dad and his two daughters were happily loading bikes into their car. One guy was finishing up his transaction and three more potentials customers came by...all while we had only been there the short time we were there. All this to say that William was juggling many things at once from repairs to sales to rentals and yet he never rushed anyone (including us). He seemed so kind and honest and very down to earth. He checked every single bike, filled tires with air as needed, and even let me have a wrench to adjust one of the bikes. Who does that?!??? So awesome. On the COVID front, he had the front roped off so customers aren't touching all the bikes, he wore a mask, & used sanitizer on every bike to disinfect and constantly sanitized his hands. Last random bit to share....William was great with my kids. Very gentle and encouraging to my younger kid by telling her she could learn to ride a bike and gave examples of his own kids learning at the ages they did! And his dog Pedal was such a well-behaved and sweet dog. If you're the kind of person that uses kids and dogs to gauge a person, let that be a nugget of info for you! What a lucky gem of a find for me and my family! We will be repeat customers. Thanks William!!!!

Not exactly my forte. Skate shops can have an intimidating environment and as a newbie going into a bike shop i felt that vibe in alot of places... valley bikes was the way bills wheels felt when i first walked in years ago. Not trying to make a sale but just trying to make sure that we get to enjoy the passion as they do. I regret not actually getting the names of these fellas, but i went to a couple bike shops, looking to get info and direction in what i need to do as a person who has to ride a bike out of necessity for leg rehabilitation. Perhaps i will become a bike person. Learning proper care and just being educated on the product i am purchasing has always been important to me. Not very many shops could even give me the time of day with how booming the bicycle business is during covid. I walked in and out of a couple bike stores but valley bikes did it right and really gave me a great greeting as a new customer. i felt welcome and helped me get set up and going on the path to healing my leg through riding a bicycle. I cant thank them enough and valley bikes will be my only shop worth visiting. Thanx boiz!

Edgar is a carbon fiber craftsman. He's been working carbon for bikes for fifteen years (at Calfee among other places). I drove down to Watsonville to meet him (I'm in the Bay Area). I was impressed and decided to leave my bike with him. I picked it back up seven days later. He replaced the aluminum drop out with a similar one and reworked and repainted the carbon fiber on the seatstay and chainstay to accommodate the new dropout. Total cost $450. I road the bike up Mt Tam yesterday and Mt Diablo the day before. Perfect! Thank you, Edgar.

I sent my frameset in and they were very prompt and courteous to let me know that they received it. They also requested the remainder of the total repair bill within days, so I was excited that it was done! Well, they never shipped me my frameset. Edgar kept giving me excuses and said it was on its way. Now he will not respond to my phone messages or e-mails anymore. I even left this review many months ago but he somehow had it removed. I'm posting this to protect the next person from not only losing their favorite bicycle frame, but your money too. I'm now out $400 AND my frame. Isn't that basically robbery?
