This salon is sooooo nice on the inside. plenty of space, and the employees all seemed very attentive. The man who did my dip nails took his time and made sure he did a good job. my only qualm was that this was my first time going to this nail salon and i paid with a card. no employee told he i couldn't tip on a card and i saw no sign. maybe you can tip in a card if you ask before? either way it is not on the customer to ask how to tip. i felt bad, but i didn't know. so just know if you intent to pay with a card ask if you can tip before they swipe the card! i would go prepared to tip with cash. my dip nails with tips were $52. kinda of pricey, but i feel like eveythibg is pricey now read more

I'm from out of town and I stopped in this place randomly to get a pedicure. When I walked in I felt really uncomfortable. Everybody stopped and stared at me like they had never seen a black person before. I was the only black person in there but I tried to pay it no mind. I was told to sit in a pedicure chair and someone would help me. No one came to service me. Normally at other places they at least soak your feet while you wait. No one ran my water no one asked me to pick a color. I sat there until I realized they didn't want to serve me. So I gave them what they wanted and I got up and left. No one said a word. MT Nails is my favorite nail spot to go to in Macon. I have never been to any other nail salon that has even come close in competition. From the moment you walk in, the vibes are extremely pleasant, the salon is overflowing with natural light, and the decor is aesthetically pleasing. Usually, I never make an appointment, I just walk in and they are usually very quick to serve me with whatever I need. However, if there is a specific person you like working with, I would advise that you make an appointment. When you walk in, they will ask you what service you are looking for and tell you to go pick a color, and they have two walls filled with nail polishes and also a bin full of numerous acrylic, and SNS samples. Their manicurist and pedicurists take their time and are extremely thorough throughout the entire process. To begin everything is sanitized extremely thoroughly. For pedicures a plastic cover is put over the bowl, and the tools are put in the oven and then a new plastic sanitary covering. Pedicures include a sugar scrub and a nice massage. For manicures, the special touches are a great arm massage and hands placed in a heated glove to soften cuticles. I highly recommend this place! Tip: Remember to bring cash because you cannot tip on credit card unless you remember to tell them before! read more

My mom, sister, mother-in-law and I went to M T nails to get out fingernails done for my wedding. I had made an appointment for all 4 of us, however they didn't understand and only made 1 appointment. I had to wait over 45 min for them to start on me (during wedding week, time is so valuable). Then after we were all done, I found out the man who did my mother-in-law's nails helped himself to a very large tip by giving her the incorrect amount of change and not giving her a chance to tip him. This is a great nail place because they take their time on customers and don't just rush through them to get to the next one. They also are very respectful and don't speak to each other in Vietnamese the whole time you visit. I got a full set of solar nails and I was surprised how well the man did them especially because I had no natural nails for him to work with because I bite them so much. They came out exactly like I requested! The pedicure is the best pedi I've ever had because like I said they take their time and really scrub and eliminate corns or dry skin. My second time here I got the SNS powder ($55) which should last longer than gel and after 2.5 weeks the top coat was peeling terribly and the polish cracked on the sides and tips so much that I had to have it removed. Had a an appointment @11 it wasn't too busy..and they jumped right on me..loved my SNS manicure...I think she cut my toenails a little too short for my liking ..but this was my first time here so overall I'd come back again...I'd rate it 5 stars but my nail techs station was right by the door so I felt the cold air every time someone came into the salon! Swanky nail spot! Very friendly technicians, they accommodated us as walk-ins even though they were very busy, and the place is very nicely appointed. I got the spa pedicure and a regular manicure. They have the CUTEST little girl pedicure chairs that look like animated characters. Oyyyy, so adorable. My pedicure was amazing, my manicure was perfectly fine but nothing special. I did love that I got a little shoulder massage during my mani, but my technician nicked my cuticle (an accident, but still not fun) and the top coat she used is the kind that peeled the color back from the edge of my nail bc she didn't seal the tip of my nail (if that makes sense.) Still had a very good experience overall, and would recommend this place, especially for pedicures. It might be a good idea to call and make an appointment, however, as this place was seriously hustling. read more

Once noticed you are vaguely waved to an area to pick out a color and then you stand until someone notices or you ask where do you go from there. After you sit in a pedicure chair-which are very nice- you wait...and wait... and wait... until you finally get up and leave because 6 other people are waiting as well. 0 service, 0 assistance. After reading other reviews I thought this might be a wonderful place to utilize routinely but the overall disregard for this customer at least, will make MT Nails not my choice of a nail salon. read more

Manicure- did a good job removing the skin. Polish- terrible. Looked like a 5 year old did it. I had polish all over my skin that I had to come over and remove myself; if that's what I wanted out of a manicure I would do it myself. Massage- If by "massage" they meant hitting me with clenched fists then yes it was a massage. I bruise easily and may very well have bruises. If being hit all over your arms, neck and shoulders which clenched fists are what you're into then you'll love it. Overall disappointed and probably won't return for possible redemption. This nail salon is one of the best in Macon. They are clean and friendly- but they are also almost always very busy! Regardless of whether you make an appointment or walk in, don't go if you're in a huge hurry, you will probably be there at least an hour to an hour and a half for a pedicure including wait time. That being said, it is always a really nice experience- they don't ever make you feel rushed. Their chairs and tools are clean- they put plastic liners in their tubs for each person getting a pedicure. I've only ever gotten a pedicure here, no manicures, so I can only speak to them. It's $25 for your traditional spa pedicure- includes the blue sugar/salt scrub thing and lotion massage. I'll keep going here! read more

Best nail salon in Macon!! They are like family!

This place takes forever. There is usually always a wait. When there is not a wait, and if you want a manicure and a pedicure they will do both separately which takes twice the amount of time - When there are plenty of workers not with customers who could get started on the mani while the pedi is being done. I've had the Gel and SNS manis and they usually start peeling earlier than it should. The salon on bass road takes way less time and they do a better job. My suggestion to MT is to do manis and pedis at the same time while in pedi chair since they have plenty of employees. It will save the customer time. Most people don't have 2 1/2 hours to spend getting their nails done. read more

Went for the first time today. Got a pedicure and although it was quick it was pretty good. My manicure was done by a different person and it was mediocre at best. I always get the gel powder or dipping powder. My previous powder was not taken off correctly by using remover soaked cotton balls placed on the nail wrapped in foil. I got to play my hands in a bowl of remover seriously drying out my hands. One finger was cut on the cuticle. I saw other people getting lotion rubbed on the hands and a nice looking massage that included the shoulders. I got nothing after my nails were done. Wasn't the worse I've had and not the best either. Probably won't be going back. This is the third nail salon I've been to in the two months since I moved to Macon. Will keep trying to find a good one. Coming from up north to here seems like salons here don't care like they do in other places. read more

I walk in and told them I wanted a pedicure and he was like okay go pick your color. So I went and picked my color out and I had decided I wanted to do a manicure as well. So i told the guy up front and he said for me to go ahead into this room where all they had all the pedicure chairs. Went in, sat down, and waited almost 20 minutes for someone to come to me. It was not busy. Then somone finally does come over and shes super rude, Doesnt say anything and when she took the nail polish from me she snatched it. Plus on top of all that she kept getting up and going off somewhere the entire time of my pedicure. She didn't take her time and rushed everything. We then get done with my pedicure and she gets ready to take me over to the manicure station and at this point I've been here over an hour and just want to leave. So I say that I dont have time.
