Self care is so important, especially when you're grieving. I stayed with my sister in Macon for a few months after my soulmate died unexpectedly last May. I called AZUL to schedule a pedi and the receptionist suggested I book an appointment with GODDESS and I am so glad I did. GODDESS is a goddess. She was so supportive and accommodating. She allowed me to initiate conversation, she created a comfortable and safe space, and she welcomed the moments of silence and reflection when I needed them. We shared a beautiful conversation that is a sacred and treasured experience for me. I scheduled a mani/pedi before I left Macon because I enjoyed the first one so much. I needed to move forward with my life, but I didn't want to leave GODDESS! If I were a Macon resident, I would be on her calendar regularly. As a manicurist, she knows what she's doing! Because she is in her own room within the walls of AZUL Salon & Spa, you'll be the only client in the only chair in the room. You'll have her full attention. She has a nice selection of polish colors. She gives an excellent leg and hand massages and the warm towel wraps she uses on your legs are heavenly! Hair stylist was Haley! Everytime my appointment was at 2pm. She would always change my time at last minute to 3:30pm. I would pay $25 fee to make the appointment. Never ever will be going back to expensive. Rinse is $50 the silk press $115.00 and the $25 to make the appointment. Her work was not that great. read more

Travis has left and opened his own salon close to College Street. Hamilton is a very good hairstylist and he is still at Azul, I think.There was a very strong odor from nail salon at the front of Azul. It took my breath away. read more

7.5 STARS... No Joke. I am from NJ and we do not joke about massages. I know that many claim to have had the best massage of their life here or there, I have been dealing with sports injuries from head to toe for 25 years. I have a top five and proud to tell AZUL that your therapist made Number one yesterday. I feel like a pound of melted butter,. I had no reason to stay in Macon because apparently I am too overqualified for $15 an hour...nevertheless Inow have no reason to leave Macon. I have been coming to Azul Salon and Spa for over a year now. I get my hair cut, colored, and styled by Travis, my mani/pedis done by Paige, and I have the foot reflexology massage done my Tommika, and I occasionally have my brows waxed by Avy. I have always had a wonderful and pleasant experience at this salon and I can truly say that everyone at this salon is so talented and do a remarkable job. I have lived in Macon for many years and I have gone to almost all of the salons in town at some point in time and Azul Salon and Spa, in my opinion, beats all of the other salons in the area hands down in terms of services offered and friendliness of the staff and also in terms of the quality of the services they perform. read more

I went there yesterday to get a wax and the lady said there's no visible hair in my face but she did it anyway. Now i have scars on my face 3 days before my wedding . I am just so disappointed that they went ahead and waxed my face even if they said there's no hair. She pulled it wrong and waxed the same area twice. I am so mad and so distraught that i look like this before my wedding. Please you have to do something about your waxing service. read more

This is a one stop shop for those that want to get the best beauty care in Macon. It was rated the best Salon in Macon in 2015 because all of the hair dressers and technicians are so professional and friendly. I like the individual rooms that allow the customer to have a quiet conversation and have your treatment done in privacy. They have over 8 stylists to choose from and there is also two nail techs, one massage therapist an esthetician and a permanent makeup artist. They also sell Aveda products and some boutique items. The entire staff at AZUL is friendly and knowledgeable. Tommy has been my stylist for a while the colour and cut are always great. But this review is not about Tommy or my hair. I had my first pedicure/ manicure with GODESS today. She is by far the best in Macon. She is professional and talented. Her room was comfortable with relaxing music. There was not the constant chatter experienced at most nail spas. I did not feel rushed. And was able to relax. She was not intrusive and did not barrage me with lots of questions and chitchat. However, when I did engage in conversation with her she was responsive and delightful. I was able to enjoy the experience. Not only do my nails look great when she had finished the pedicure my feet felt as if I were floating. Great way to start my day and indulge myself. read more

It's hard to find a reliable place for a men's haircut, especially at a good price. Azul is located in North Macon off of Arkwright road and has been a savior for my hair needs. When I think "salon" I typically think of a place that provides everything for women from head to toe, so I was surprised to find out that Azul has men's services. They are very easy to work with, have automated text reminders for your appointments, and always do a great job. I personally get my haircut by Avy who does a phenomenal job each time. I feel very comfortable changing up my style with her expert guidance. The ambiance is very relaxing here, from the beautifully decorated waiting area to the private rooms that have their own flair. This is the only place I've gotten a hair cut in a separate room which made me feel like a VIP. I do recommend making an appointment before going in. They sell products as well and have a great policy on returning items you're not satisfied with. I cannot even think of one complaint about this place and plan to continue visiting here many more times. read more
