I am not surprised that someone else experienced the same issue about their guys cutting corners. I contacted them because my HOA has an agreement at a special price with them. I guess since they already have a large contract, they can be lazy. I was told that they flush the drain during their visits but the older guy who was assigned to my building in the last couple of visits has never once gotten water to flush the drain nor have I heard any air blowing (if he had used an air gun which I hear is not as effective as water). In every single visit, they tried to sell me a new HVAC unit because the sky is falling and R22 will no longer be available. Maybe they cut corners so that your unit will not function properly and THEN they can eventually sell you a new HVAC... read more

Rude personnel at the call center. They lie about what they do during their service calls. For example, they said that they were going to flush out my condensation pipe, so I said great. Come to turn out that my pipe is leaking about a year later. I had to have a service person come to fix (not from ME Flow) and they said that it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 5 - 6 years. I saw the stuff that he flushed out and I would say 5-6 years is an underestimate. Long story short, I had to pay an extra $235.00 because ME Flow didn't do what they were supposed to do in their preventative maintenance work. Beware bait and switch experts! Spent less than 30 minutes at our house. Lied about what work was done. Technician said he replaced coil but only replaced a$25.00 capacitor part. Charged my wife $485.00 and told her they would send receipt by email. After a week of calling to get receipt we finally got it showing a capacitor part and a Light cleaning service. Called and asked for explanation of the gross overcharge. Told I would get call from manager. 5 days later he called and all he did was tell me that it costs money to advertise his company and that his techs were trained and that costs money too. I truly hope they actually pay $920.00 per hour to their trained and advertised staff, but I doubt it! Just not a nice company to work with and yes I did decline the offer of a whopping $20 credit to be used in future for more of their great work!! read more

Our Furnace was not working last night. My husband called & left a message, he didn't hear back so called again in the morning. By lunchtime a Technician named Luis Came & solved the problem. Apparently, my husband replaced our Humidifier with a new one & blew a Fuse. The Technician Luis with his expertise solved the problem immediately! I highly recommend this man, he knows his stuff! Actually I very rarely write reviews but in this case... My AC unit went out two days before a major holiday. The next day I called from work and the scheduler was very courteous and efficient - and a diagnostic could be done the same day. On the way home Dustin (I believe) called to let me know that a technician was on the way. A technician (David Daniels) was prompt, right on time, immediately identified the repairs and fixed it. He did a great job and was very friendly. It was so fast that I drove the 34 miles back to work...! And I didn't have to at all. It was superb, efficient and friendly service all the way around. Duplicate review... In general, technicians have been good. You are at their mercy when they recommend and charge for parts. Services agreement gets you 15% discount on material and labor, but if their mark-ups on such are unreasonable, does not do much good. This company came to my house to service a clogged sink 2 weeks ago and two weeks later it still was clogged. They charged the same price the second time for just the kitchen sink as they charged the first time during which they cleaned TWO sinks. They highly overcharge and their customer service during this visit was not professional at all (rushing the customer off the phone and demanding to just pay instead of asking questions). I honestly don't know anything about the quality of their work but their prices are very very high. We called them in to look at a hot water heater that was leaking. Turns out that the main water shutoff and the shutoff to the hot water heater were also broken. They offered to replace the two shutoffs and the 50 gallon hot water heater for $2,200. We declined to use their services. Other plumbers in the area offered to do the work for between $1,100 and $1,400. We chose to use one of them instead. read more

I had a very positive experience with ME Flow on my first scheduled call with them. They called ahead of time and showed up 30 minutes later within the allotted window...an accomplishment that many others seem to miss. They told me some of the options if I did one thing or another and how much each would cost. In the end it was a relatively easy Auger fix and he was out pretty quickly. I did buy the one year agreement which may be a waste of money since we don't generally have many issues, but for the cheap rate, it seemed worth it as an insurance policy of sorts and saves you 15% and give you prioritization if something does happen. If I could give this zero stars I would. company calls and says its time for our heating inspection. Then, three months later sends me a bill saying it is overdue and I need to pay for it. They gave a FALSE impression that it was covered under my existing contract. The gal on the phone, I think her name was Kendal, needs to find a new job. She lectured me about how they were absolutely due the money because she has my name, address and phone number. I'm not sure how that entitles someone to get paid. As a professional pet sitter who overnights at clients homes, having hiccups like the AC going out on a 100 degree July morning can be anxiety inducing. With two senior dogs and three cats in the house, as well as the concern for fire if there is something seriously wrong, you have to have someone to turn to. Contacted client who was on travel, they attempted to set up appointments with several companies and M.E. Flow was the *only* one who really had complete control of their dispatching and processes, as well as extremely professional, courteous and efficient technicians. Discovered the problem at 9AM on a Saturday, didn't begin the search for a repair company until 2PM and had a technician working the fix by 645PM same day. The repair took less than 20 minutes and cost less than $350.00. Jesus was our technicians name and he is an asset to his company. The dispatcher, a wonderful woman I spoke with, was also tremendously positive and reassuring. Returned from vacation to find no air conditioning during recent heatwave. Next morning, we called ME Flow and they had a technician to our house in 6 hours. I called two different Plumbing Companies (after hours) that I found in the "Best Pick Reports" from Loudoun County to discuss a plumbing/sewage issue. I left messages with both companies on their Emergency Message System. I was immediately called back by an M.E. Flow associate who answered my questions and gave me sound advice ab my situation. I was told I would be contacted the next day for an appointment. First thing the next morning, I was called by a M.E. Flow associate to make an appointment for later that same day to come assess/fix my problem. An appointment was made for 12:00 later that day and two professional plumbing technicians, Sean and Joe, arrive on time. They were up front with the possible costs associated with my problem before beginning to try to fix the problem, making sure I was aware of potential costs due to various situations that could be related to my issue. They luckily were able to fix my sewer problem with the least amount of issues (cost). They offered sound advise to avoid future plumbing issues and helped me understand the plumbing system in order to understand why the problem occurred. As a new and single female home owner, I felt respected, taken care of and educated about my situation. Their fees were exactly as stated and and everything was taken care of professionally from start to finish. They even helped clean up part of the sewage mess, which was far and above their responsibilities. I could not recommend M. E. Flow MORE to anyone with plumbing issues. I was happy to write this review, as well as, other reviews of their service to other consumer websites. They will be my only call in the future, if other plumbing issues arrise. I did finally hear back from the "other plumbing company" I called, but M.E. Flow had already taken care of the problem before they even returned the call from their Emergency Messsge company. We have had them for over 15 years as our techs and have had a variety of service experiences, good and bad. First, they have good equipment and I think they provide what they say can. My biggest problem is not all technicians are consistent with their work. Some are overly chatty and waste time when you just want them to get the work done so you can return to work (or whatever--after all you reserve a "window" and your time is valuable even though they get paid by the hour I am not sure all their techs respect your time). I think they have a very qualified staff and they receive training so I recommend them but give yourself plenty of time for scheduling. I can never get them ASAP even with a service contract. read more

My call into M.E. Flow was fine as I spoke with the dispatcher named Stacey who set me up for a same day appointment; however, my luck changed with the late arrival of a tech named Davis Tran. When I told him about the appointment time, he did not respond. He did not wear shoe guards (bags over his shoes) and would not take off his shoes when I asked him about wearing the guards. He said they were clean. The reason for the service was that the blower would not cycle off on my hot water/heater Aquatherm. Unfortunately the problem did not present itself as the fan turned off when the tech arrived. My concern; however, was that the tech accused me of not having a service problem and wanted to know why I called for service! Really? I don't call for a $94.95 for nothing. I don't appreciate being accused of lying. And the worst thing of all is that he removed the hot water tank blanket and did not put it back..something that is very difficult to do as my hot water tank is up against my a/c in the closet located on my deck. So now I have an uncovered hot water/heater because Davis Tran was negligent. I would not use ME Flow again and particularly not their tech Davis Tran. read more

Flow spent a lot of time, several visits, even escalating to supervisors and higher-ups to help me find the cause of my problem -- which -- wait for it -- turned out not to be HVAC related. And they suspected that -- but they didn't leave me hanging until they could pinpoint the problem and help me figure out how to remedy it. They really represented their company beautifully. I called for two issues, our furnace was making a loud noise , and a valve was leaking above our water heater. When I called I did let them know that the valve was positional and that I had tied it up to stop the dripping. I suspected that the valve should be replaced. I called to confirm the appointment on Saturday. I called on Monday to let them know to knock loudly as the adult at home was in the basement and may not hear it. That is when they told me that they were unaware that I had confirmed the appointment , however they would be there soon. You can imagine my surprise to receive an emergency phone call at work from my family asking me how to turn off the water. I asked if the plumber was at the house and was told yes. ????? I headed home calling the company along the way, confused about what was happening in my home. How could a plumber not know how to turn off the water ? Why would he start the procedure without doing so, or at least knowing how ? Arriving at my home a found many supervisors who left me we a mess to clean up and essentially blaming me for having a faulty valve. HELLO THAT IS WHY WE CALLED A PLUMBER !!!!!!!!!!! To add insult to injury they left me the size of the furnace filter written on the ticket. IT WAS THE WRONG SIZE !!!! BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID. read more

We used ME Flow exclusively for 10 years but have had just awful experience with them over the past 18 months. They quoted us over $400 to change a washer that my husband figured out how to do in 20 minutes. They also replaced a hose bib with their 'top of the line' model which seized up again within a few months; they complained extensively about having to come back out, replaced it with a super cheap plastic one instead, didn't refund the extra $$$ we had paid for the high end model that was junk, and we had to pay to have drywall repaired twice. When I mentioned this was super inconvenient and expensive, their tech literally said they were losing money by having to come back and that I should be happy he was there at all. Latest issue is that we needed a new AC unit. They quoted us $14k for a 2 stage. We got a quote from Climatic that as $10,700 for a 5 stage much better unit. Last straw--we will never use them for anything again. read more

I asked them please let me know whatever you need to fixed the job done. I called multiple times to them, from the front desk assuring service manager will call you shortly. Day 1 they didn't call me back. Day 2 i called 2 times, first time they told me service manager will call you shortly. I was waiting at least 5 hours and called again to know the status, then front desk lady told me we are unable to fix the Heating system because someone worked with that system before. M.E.Flow just took my money, they didn't fix anything. They are not professional at all. I will NOT recommend any of my friend. read more

Still running late. Called at 4 and was told that the tech called at 0924 and left a message. Since I didn't answer or respond, they cancelled my service. Didn't get a call or have a message. Wasn't told this on earlier calls. Wasted a whole day waiting for the tech. They never showed. I live in high rise in Reston, VA and since the Condominium management/association uses M.E. Flow of Leesburg, VA to maintain the AC unites here, I decided to call them. They sent someone, David, to repair my AC. The repair took no more than 20 minutes and David changed one capacitor only. He charged me $357 ( with $30 coupon) for his 20 minutes and a $10 capacitor!! I send the company owner, Scott, a physical letter ( since he never answered my email) and he completely ignored my letter. The call that I made was on Friday morning and it was NOT an emergency or Saturday/Sunday call which means is was NOT a weekend call. I was assured by Donna, their secretary, that this was NOT a weekend call and they would charge me only a regular call and I made sure that it was a normal call before they came to repair the AC. And, Donna had initially set up an appointment for me for Saturday, but then she called me on Friday late morning and said that there has been an opening for Friday at 2:00 pm and if it was OK for them to come and repair my AC and I agreed. There are exactly 300 units in my building and I have been spreading the word to all condominium owners here with my very unpleasant experience and being way over charged. This services should cost no more than $150 maximum. I am also going to report this to the proper authority to let them know of such huge charges. I was NOT given any estimates and David replaced the capacitor without consulting me in any shape or way. You need to be more honest with your customers. Also, you say that David spent one hour working on my AC, does that means that your charges are $300 in hour when the part cost only $10?? I've had nothing but good experiences with ME Flow. I live in a '70s Reston condo with a hinky all-in-one HVAC that fits in a storage area off the balcony. Two other companies told me that you buy the unit ($4000 or so,) use it for 8 - 10 years, then throw it away and buy a new one. When the a/c stopped working a couple of years ago during a heat wave I decided to give ME Flow, who has been servicing our commercial unit at work for years, a shot. The tech who came out said, as I expected, that we would probably need a new unit and that his supervisor would get back to me with pricing, etc.. When the supervisor called, though, he said that he thought after looking at the tech's notes that a chemical cleaning would likely solve the problem. He gave me the options and prices, we decided to give the cleaning a shot, and it worked! Much cheaper. Fast forward two years, epic heat wave, a/c fail, I figure for sure it will cost me $4000 for a new unit this time. But hallelujah ME Flow came out within 4 hours of me calling them, went straight to the chemical cleaning, and the a/c is running like a charm! read more

ME Flow continues to take fantastic care of our family. Today it was Dustin who came out for an HVAC inspection. He spotted an uninsulated element in the AC that was lowering efficiency. Should have been caught during install three years ago or in the every six month inspection we had with another company until six months ago. Nevertheless Dustin caught it, fixed it immediately, ensured that everything was shipshape, and didn't charge us any extra for the work. To top it off, he works so often in the community that he already knew my 3-year-old son and was wonderful with him. There's good reason why we use ME Flow for everything now. read more
