Called Dave's to fix my broken AC. They installed the unit about 10 years ago. Had to wait through the weekend to get service. during 5he visit they replaced a $30 capacitor in the compressor and emptied out the overflow pump. They charged $557 for a capacitor and less than an hour labor. Outrageous gouging pricing. Never will call them again. read more

We bought a new Heat Pump and Air Handler from Dave's and when it was time to change the air filter I found that required me to reach and stretch in a way that was difficult for me (multiple back surgeries ) I called Dave's and after looking at the problem he designed a new piece of Duct Work that replaced the original Duct Work and made changing the air filter a no-problem job. Unbelievable service and going the extra mile to accommodate my disability, Dave's will bend over backwards to deliver a first rate job The job of replacing the old Duct Work with a custom built Duct Work took about two weeks including design and manufacturing the new Duct Work. Installing the new Duct Work took less than 2 hours.p read more

I am very pleased with the system I got from Dave's Heating and Air. The best part of all it is quiet and already I've seen that the cost of running the new system is dramatically less than my old system. AJ, Adam and Kenny installers did a great job and left the place extremely neat. Since I had my equipment installed in the winter I was told to call when it was hot to get the AC up and running and tested. My furnace stopped working late one evening on a very cold night. We called Dave's Heating because they had great reviews and offered emergency service. Unfortunately the experience was terrible. A message was left with their late evening answering service and a technician promptly called us back. They explained the after hours service fee and we said we were willing to pay the extra fee and understood emergency service comes with a price. The technician obviously was not happy being the on call technician that night, and they made every excuse possible to not come out. I'm not sure why a business advertises emergency service when they really do not want to provide that higher cost option. Regardless, we felt so uncomfortable with the whole process and with the technician, that we found another company to repair our furnace. Dave's is my go-to for all heating and air conditioning work. I've used them several times over the past 3 years, and I just hired them (job successfully completed) to replace my furnace. Any poor reviews make no sense, to me. Maybe those reviews reflect a different company. THIS Dave's has excellent technicians whom have worked with the company for years and years, and I like that level of experience. This a family business that is fair and honest. They're not fancy. If you use this company, you better make sure they actually completed the work they say they did. In our case, they failed to replace the element in a humidifier per our annual maintenance agreement. The element got corroded so badly, it leaked and is costing us several thousand dollars in flooding repair. While it's not necessarily appropriate for Dave's to cover the repair (we'll let the insurance company deal with that), we do think they should refund our maintenance fee as a show of good faith. They refused. We're done with them. It is a shame, they were actually quite good ten years ago. The service steadily has declined. The level of technician has deteriorated (I had to show one how to use a thermostat during one visit). Their failure to replace the element causing the flood was the last straw. read more

I just had a good experience with Dave's in the middle of a cold snap. It was a simple "trip" due to high pressure in the system. They checked stuff out and reset the system. Quick, no BS and I talked right to Dave to set this all up. At times you have to trust service. Dave's earned that trust the right way. read more

I heard different stories from everyone I spoke to about what happened and nobody stepped up to take responsibility for the problem. Recently the a/c unit on a vacant property I have listed was not cooling - during one of those upper-90's spells we have - so I immediately called Dave's. Poor Customer Service -- I called for emergency service and the woman that took my call told me "good luck with that" when I stated that I needed same day service. My suggestion would be to not state that you offer 24/7 emergency service, if you're unable to deliver - especially when you quote three days until the next available 'emergency' service appointment. read more

I called to schedule an appointment, and I was told they could come out the next day. I was told they would call the day of to specify a time. When the next day came around, I called them first thing in the morning and was told 2-4pm. No one came by 3:45pm, so I called and was told 5-6pm. Finally, I got a call at 5:30pm saying they couldn't come out because of the cold outdoor temperature. VERY INCONSIDERATE! I'm really not sure why they couldn't' say that to begin with.... read more

We recently had to replace our furnace and working with Dave was great. He and his team provide excellent customer service. Our old furnace cut out on us before the new once was available, so Dave sent out a tech to do a temporary fix until the new one arrived. They didn't charge us for the service call. 12/14/2015 - I had a TERRIBLE experience. They charged me $515 for a $10 dollar fan relay replacement!!!! They charge $129 for a call fee and $193 flat additional fee when they come home. When they didnt have the fan relay at that time, they come back to install and charged another $193!!! On top of that problem is not fixed because they instaleed incorrectly and had to call back again. Horrible service and not experienced technicians, overcharged labor. i would never go back to this company. complained to BBB. read more
