Great experience here. I got my hair done previously at a different salon where there was some miscommunication and I was disappointed with how my hair turned out. M. Castilli Salon, even though they're practically booked for the summer, squeezed me in for an appointment with Lauren within a week of me desperately looking to get my hair fixed. To fit me into her schedule, she also worked out of her availability and stayed late on a Friday!! Like what!! It wasn't even like I was a loyal client. I was just a desperate new client looking for any help with my hair. Lauren truly took the time to understand what I wanted I was hoping to achieve hair color wise prior to coloring. She was super knowledgeable, told the truth (for example, we didn't do low lights because she didn't want to damage my hair after recently getting it colored at a different salon a week ago), and really took her time to make sure I got what I wanted. I've never felt so comfortable at a salon right from the jump. Melissa is awesome too and it felt like I was hanging with my two friends while getting my hair done. I loved that Lauren is a perfectionist and didn't let me leave until we were both satisfied. Let's just say I'm beyond satisfied with how my hair turned out and couldn't be more thankful,and lucky, to have gotten this service done by Lauren at M. Costelli. I can't wait to return. Would give this place more stars if I could. Dealt with Lauren and Melyssa before even going in for services and their kindness and professionalism made me excited to go!! The visit itself was amazing! Melyssa is kind, honest, sweet, professional and individualized. You know she is hearing you, wants you to look and feel your best, doesn't pressure you for a sale, and is so caring and constantly healing on you , your thoughts, and how you feel. Melyssa is a truly considerate person and business owner. She cares!! She provided extra advice and recommendations based on what my hair needs. She is delightful, genuine, and doesn't rush the process until she is happy with it-and most importantly-you are happy with it!! Something tells me Melyssa would be this kind and thoughtful no matter what type of business she was in but lucky for us she is in the "look good feel good" Buisness :). I feel so lucky to have found a salon and stylist that really cares and makes the whole process not only painless, but enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about this salon! I've been getting my hair cut and colored professionally for more than 20 years by various stylists across the country. To be honest, I always thought hair stylists were kind of the same. After every cut and color over the years, I would leave the salon just feeling blah after spending a lot of money on a cut & color. My hair style has always been basic and it was certainly not anything to write home about...no matter the length, cut or color. Not to mention I've never known how to properly style my hair, no matter how many YouTube videos I watched. That all changed when I was recommended to Melyssa by a coworker. Melyssa is so talented at what she does. She immediately noticed damage to my hair from years of not using the proper treatments, shampoos or equipment. On our first appointment, we had a conversation about what we wanted from my hair: eg. the length, what color we liked, and what style would make it easy for me to maintain on my own. A year later (and really only after a few visits; I see Melyssa every 10 weeks, whereas previously I had to get my hair colored every 6 weeks before it looked like a bad attempt of an ombre) -- my hair has never looked better! I work in the media and I have never received so many compliments on my hair in my entire life. It is easy for me to style and Melyssa has found a way to cut it so that it never gets in my way or looks drab. The salon is convenient, I've never had any issues with parking. As soon as you walk in the door, the salon is clean and inviting. Lauren and Jessica are wonderful as well. They have a great selection of coffees and beverages, which is an added treat while you are waiting. The salon is an hour from my house, but it is worth every minute waiting in Boston traffic in order to get my hair done here. I will be staying with this salon from now on! read more

Melyssa is my savior! My hair was recently fried to a crisp, and Melyssa has my hair on a path of good health again. She suggested a conditioning treatment, moisturizing toner, and trim - with just one visit I can already tell my hair is in much better condition. Meylssa is also great with suggesting the right products for your specific hair - the combination of the products and Melyssas treatment/cut has made such a difference! Honestly I'm pretty sure I couldn't survive without Melyssa and Lauren is equally amazing! I found Melyssa on a Groupon around 10 years ago and have followed her to all locations since then and was excited when she opened her own a few years ago. She keeps my blonde in stellar condition, offers her honest opinion, and always goes above and beyond. She is a perfectionist so everything is normally on point, but if it wasn't she would fix it for you no problem. She's great with color AND cut which is hard to find. She gave me the cutest bob when I donated my hair years back and most recently helped me with my hair for my wedding (even though she wasn't able to do it day of)! I was incredibly lucky to find M.Castelli Studio. Melyssa changed my life!! She is fantastic! My hair was so very damaged and no other salons would help but Melyssa performed miracles with my hair. I get compliments all the time. She is a wonderful kind concerned person. I will never go anywhere else. Plus the salon is calming and so friendly. I feel comfortable with all the staff! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Will never go back! After being a client at this salon for about 2 and a half years, I was incredibly disappointed by my most recent experience with them. I had an appointment booked for 3 months in advance. The week of my appointment I was asked to push my 1:30 PM appointment to 11 AM because Melyssa (the owner of the studio) had a "family matter" to tend to. I said no problem and rearranged my day for the new time. Then on the morning of, just as I was about to leave for my appointment, I received a text from Melyssa saying she had woken up with a horrible stomach bug and would have to cancel on me. I realize that everyone gets sick, but I was disappointed. I called the salon and they could not fit me in with anyone else. Later that day I was surprised to see that she was not in fact sick in bed, but at the Patriots game! She posted it on her Facebook, clear as day. So if you want to get your hair done there just be prepared for them to cancel on you when something better comes up, and have them blatantly lie to you about it. read more
