I swear she uses magic wax because it's pretty much painless and the best part is, it really does last! She always remembers her clients and is will be as flexible as she can be with you. With a busy schedule, sometimes same day service is needed and I'm glad SMN can accommodate! I didn't want to wait so I went to SMN this time. I've been to SMN a few times since my initial review and the two times since my initial visit there was no skin broken/bleeding, but unfortunately today there was. I have sensitive skin, and skin is drier in the winter, but I've never had the skin broken when I've done waxing. The aesthetician put a salve on it to heal it quicker. I also signed up for a Bikini Extended and it was only a little more than the bikini area. When I told the aesthetician what I was looking for, she removed all the hair in front like I usually have-- I asked her what to request next time and she told me to request a Brazilian. She didn't charge me for the extra hair removal which was very nice. At the waxing center where I usually go a Bikini Full ($47) removes all the hair in front. A Brazilian at SMN is $60, so from a cost perspective, it seems like waxing is also the way for me to go. I don't like to leave less positive reviews but I think it's good for others to know if they're considering sugaring-- I really want to like it but so far it's been very painful and broken my skin 2/4 times. Maybe it's a better experience for people with less sensitive skin! Update: the healing balm seems to have worked as there hasn't been any irritation/pain from the area where the skin broke. It was just very painful in the moment, but there's been no lingering pain, which is good.

She used to be at quincy center, at the back of the skincare studio, but have moved to Braintree on the 2nd floor in the 1604 Salon & Spa. Just take the stairs right when you walk in to the left. Very comfortable room where they do the waxing- very clean. You can actually pay in card and tip as well which is very very convenient for me! Unfortunately, Braintree was a bit hard to for me to get to, but if you have a car or live in Braintree it's quite easy to get around. There's always some sort of parking behind the house.

Came in for a pedicure. I was confused they just said sign in and I picked a color. No one told me…read morewhere to find the color I had to figure it out. I found the one station by the door, later I noticed perhaps there was more. Picked my color from the sparse selection I randomly found and awkwardly stood there. The owner screamed sit down at a pedicure chairs as if I knew I was supposed to sit down. I sat down and proceeded to wait. Dum de dum wait and wait apparently I was to read minds and know there was a wait. Finally one of the two ladies started on my pedicure. I "upgraded" for $5 for special treatment callous. It was just the use of the cheese grater on your callous which is free with any other place and wax on the heals that they only left on for 1 minute made no difference. I mean I guess if I was in a pinch, I would go back but not willingly - just if I had no choice, like I did today, no choice I am going on vacation and I needed it done while the kids went shopping. The person working in my nails was nice, I guess, said less than 10 words to me - thanks for waiting, thank you, ok bye. Was not rude at all but never looked up or even smiled just sat down and grabbed my foot and started working.
