This place was amazing! The waitress was so sweet and helped us the whole time. My chicken sandwich was indeed crispy! My volcano cake was even better.

This is exactly the kind of place that's needed back on the east coast--a place that serves a decent helping of multiple styles of mussels at a decent price. We arrived here on a weekday afternoon while browsing stores at the Champs, and there was plenty of seating inside. There's a lot of mussel items for 26 euros+, but I found a small section that had smaller portions; I ordered the small mussels for 13 euros, which came with one helping of fries rather than unlimited. It was still a lot of food that could have been split between 2 people, so in terms of value--great. Only 1 dead mussel in the entire pail. The fries weren't too hot and fresh, some were soggy. It's a standard place to stop by, equivalent to Bennigan's back at home or a seafood chain. The service is also standard, but a bit slow in getting food out for what it is.

Yummy! Big portions. The wait was well worth it for a big pot of steaming mussels!

For my last restaurant meal in Paris, my aunt took me to Leon to try their mussels. We both got a combo deal to have mussels and dessert! She ordered mussels in a creamy broth and I had mussels in a tomato broth. Both were so good! But I enjoyed mine a lot better since there was a mix of calamari and shrimp to go along with the mussels. Our meal came out in cauldron like dishes and they were so cool! And I loved the fries! Belgium knows how to fry fries. :) I enjoyed the creme brulee! It was pretty good. :) The belgium waffle with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar was okay. The chocolate sauce was too bitter and the waffle wasn't that sweet, so the taste was quite confusing.. I wish it was a lot sweeter.

The menu may be a bit confusing, but our server cleared up any questions. (a la carte vs prix fixe) We started with a complimentary terrine with gherkins and onions which were delicious. I had the Brittany scallops in a pesto and citrus dressing topped with parmigiana reggiano - absolutely amazing! Mains were the braised beef cheeks which were melt in your mouth and a tender roasted veal. The smoothest puréed potatoes and a crispy potato gaufrette were perfect accompaniments. The Grand Marnier soufflé was the perfect ending to an outstanding lunch. I look forward to returning to La Regalade for another lunch or perhaps dinner.

I won't go into detail about each dish, but the main course, the pork belly, was cooked perfectly--so tasty and beautifully braised. The soufflé, which originally attracted me to this restaurant, was amazing! However, I do wish it had some whipped cream to enhance the flavor. Overall, it was a great date night, and it's definitely a place we'd visit again!

We each got a small order of frites (3.50 Euro each). A small order (a "cornet") comes with one sauce, so I got mayo and my husband got ketchup. Yes, they call it ketchup here, not sauce tomate. The frites are PLENTIFUL. I am a big person with a hearty appetite, and I could not finish mine. So how are they, you ask? They are fresh (you can watch your order being dunked in the oil for the second time) and hot and tasty - crisp outside, tender inside, just like they doctor ordered. Are they life-changing? No. Did I have a frites epiphany? I did not. But are they crunchy and yummy and filling and do they hit the spot? Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

I tasted the oil the potatoes were fried in, which I did not like. Also it wasn't salted as much as I would like, but that could be my personal preference. I wanted to like this place but sadly I was disappointed. I would rather get McDonald's fries.

We had an amazing waitress who was just on point with all our needs even after she was given a 25-person table once our group of 4 was seated. I can't even begin to describe the food as it was exactly what it looked like and what we wanted. In my mafaldine al tartufo avec jambon a la truffe d'ete, it had the perfect amount of truffle and saltiness - especially with the jambon topping. The moules a la creme and moules pasta was bountiful and fresh. The fresh brick-oven-cooked pizza was outstanding and also deserving of equal praise. The inside of the restaurant is warmly lit and inviting to any sized groups wanting to try out this place. Would recommend and come back again when shopping Champs-Elysées!

It's clearly popular with the local student population for the drinks, but we decided to have dinner here because I was really craving some moules frites, which I saw was one of the popular dishes here. We started with the shrimp and avocado salad to share, which was simple yet fine. It was a really hot evening so we didn't want too heavy a meal. My mussels were quite good, small and tender, a very generous pot and well-cleaned/cooked (I don't think there were more than 1 or 2 unopened ones in the bottom.) I could have used a little more broth with them, but a minor quibble. My sweetie got the steak au poivre; our waitress first asked, "Well done?" (I guess they assume that's what Americans want? The horror!) to which I said no, make how the chef likes. It came out perfectly medium rare with an excellent crust, and sweetie declared it the best steak he'd had anywhere in a long, long time. Dessert was "pineapple carpaccio", which was fine for a really hot night, but for 7.50 Euro I would have expected a bit more than three slices of pineapple and some whipped cream. Still, overall we had a very good meal and I'd go back for the drinks, the mussels, and that steak!
