This spot has an incredible vibe, a welcoming atmosphere, and some of the best people-watching around. The service was a standout--Dallas and her team were absolutely sensational: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Our group of four started with the hummus (PHENOMENAL), and each of us enjoyed our entrees--no disappointments across the board. The only small miss was the fries, which came out a bit soft and soggy. That's an easy fix, and honestly, we may have just let them sit too long while chatting. Overall, it was a super fun Friday night out with great friends. I almost hesitate to rave too much because I selfishly want to keep this gem from getting too crowded... but it absolutely deserves the attention. Truly wonderful. We'll be back! read more

LOVE IT. LOVE IT. LOVE IT!!!! We had an excellent experience. We didn't have a reservation, but arrived at 4:00, wanting to sit at the bar. With a little bit of help from the host, we got lucky. Drinks - excellent - and the bartender was friendly (but not TOO friendly). Food - excellent. I would die for the duck fat fries. The burger was delicious and reminded me of the Saint Dinette burger. We biked here and found seating easily. Service was friendly at the counter and they have a variety of sweet and savory pastries to try along with a pretty unique menu. We tried the breakfast quiche, the breakfast sandwich and a spinach/ feta scone. Some of our neighbors have said it's $$ but our total was similar to other spots we've been to in the neighborhood ‍. My second visit was better than the first. Excellent service. Burger was still amazing.

We sat outside and battled some flies. We ate mussels, but they didn't fight back - they were hardly developed. Kale salad was flavorful. The fries were fine. Limited selections of beer, but lots of alternative beverages including some well conceived cocktails. I left full but not satisfied. I suspect if ate one of those nice looking pizzas to the left of my table I would probably bump this up a star. read more

I used to really love Lyn 65. Lynette does not live up to that legacy. Lyn 65 had a wonderful bartender/cocktail program, whereas Lynette will serve batch cocktails for oft ordered cocktails (such as Old Fashioneds) which are often too sweet. "Built" cocktails by a knowledgeable bartender are preferred. My husband and I reserved a seating at 4:30, which is early, I understand, for our 52nd anniversary. It doesn't matter what time one makes a reservation. Good service should happen whenever a reservation is made. When I called to request a booth for us, the person answering the phone responded with just a "hello", not "Hello, this is Lynette, may I help you". I wasn't sure if I had reached a restaurant, or a random number. I had already made a reservation online, but had wanted to specify a booth. This was a first red flag. When we arrived, I had to physically go look to scout out a booth for us. No "welcome for your anniversary, here is your requested booth". At 4:30. It's not crowded. We are seated at the booth that I discovered, and are waited upon by a lovely bartender/waiter who is an mixologist but can't do that and wait on tables at the same time. The whole experience felt like we were at a regular bar, and should not expect anything better. The prices don't reflect that. I had scallops, which were wonderful, but only four for $32. My husband who is not an "adventurous" eater ordered a burger, which was good. He discovered he forgot to order fries (a separate order) which he had to physically go to the bar to get the attention of the bartender/server to order. When the fries arrived, it looked liked they had come from the bottom of deep fryer, they were all in pieces, no longer than 2 inches. I have never experienced French fries in such a manner before. The bartender/server doesn't remove plates/glasses that are no longer in use. That's it for me. I won't be back. read more

Really cute space. Our service was awesome. My husband can't leave a restaurant without dessert. He said the Pot de Creme was the best dessert he's ever had. The scallops were perfect. Service was 10/10, unfortunately food was not. Fries were tasty, but most were an inch long or even shorter which made them very difficult to eat. Short rib was tough and bland, very disappointing. Crab risotto was delicious and really saved the meal. Other things I tried were not bad, but not exciting. This might just be my personal preference, but I found the portion size to be really annoying. Too small for one person to order one thing, but too large for one person to order two things. So the meal only works if you plan on sharing with your table (we got 6 plates for 4 people, which was about right). The server communicated this to us before we ordered, so it wasn't a surprise, I just think it's a foolish way to serve food and very unfriendly to anyone dining alone or not wishing to share. read more

Great ambiance but food was just meh. We went for brunch, ordered a potato cake (little loaf of deep-fried hash brown) and a focaccia ham and cheese sandwich. Potato cake was fried well but under seasoned. Focaccia had been toasted on what the server said was the wood fired grill and tasted a bit like an ashtray. The ham and cheese was served with a spicy sauce which was delightful once we removed the bread. Great service, great Bloody Mary, cute place! We will head back to get cocktails and enjoy the patio, but not likely to try the food. read more

I met a couple of friends at Lynette for a midweek lunch. The space is a huge improvement over The Riverview, and outside has a nice big patio. When we walked in, there were 2-3 other parties standing by the hostess station. I went in search of someone and asked if we seat ourselves,was told yes, take a menu then order at the bar or the pastry station. When we were ready to order, we went to the bar, but the only person there sighed, and said she'd have to go find someone. The food came out quickly, We ordered a pizza, a burger and a BLT. I liked the pizza, although the menu said the mozzarella was house pulled, and that mozzarella was not. My friend liked her burger. The BLT, is served on focaccia. That is really the wrong bread for a BLT and, in fact, the waiter asked if we needed a steak knife for the BLT. What?? Turns out, coulda used one. The food was good, but the whole experience was disorganized and bizarre. It was not at all welcoming, making you feel like you were intruding. I know it's early days, but I expected more from seasoned restauranteurs. After one try I haven't given up. I'll give them some time to work things out and go back again. read more

i had never heard of lynette until today. as a former patron of Lyn 65 this place has some of my favorite dishes. the pita with hummus is just like Lyn 65 and tried 2 veggie dishes that were over the top: semi sweet carrot with a delicious sauce plus the crispy cauliflower... both dishes are 5 stars our main was the short rib and again a fantastic winter dish. all the wines are available by the glass or by the bottle. i paired the short rib with a nice Jim Barry from Australia. low tannins and very well done service -food- ambiance all top notch prices comparable to other good quality restaurants in TC area. this place rocks and wish them well ! read more

The burger was not great. The cheese and bun were very good but the patties were extremely disappointing. The flavor and texture were just not right. I would take another bite hoping to change my mind because it looked good. However, it was off putting. It wasn't a thick juicy burger or a smash burger... sort of in no man's land with odd texture and lacking flavor. If it wasn't for the cheese and bun, I wouldn't have been able to take more than a bite. Super disappointing after getting a cool vibe from the atmosphere. My wife's food was pretty good so overall I'm giving it 3 stars for the atmosphere and her food. read more

This is a glorified burger, pizza, fries joint with lots of cheese. Like making grill cheese sandwiches with 1/2 inch of cheese. Went for both lunch and dinner. Both times things on the menu weren't. A huge bowl was served with food 1/3rd full, like those bags of potato chips that are half air. Martini was meh. They need to upgrade the menu with healthier options.
