This place, under its current ownership, deserves to be shut down. One star is far too generous for the experience we had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The current owners--Jack (the man claiming to be the manager) and Ryann (the blonde woman)--are absolutely unfit to run a customer-facing business. They openly harass their customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of the good reviews are written by their friends, not real customers. I first came here years ago while visiting Reno and had a good experience, which is why I continued coming back out of loyalty whenever I was in town. Since then, ownership and management have clearly changed, and I've only been here a handful of times under the new owners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most recently, my mom and I came in together for pedicures. An older man started my mom's service, and Ryann started mine. From the start, Ryann had a nasty attitude, but I ignored it because I just wanted my nails done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She asked if I wanted my nails cut, and I said yes, specifically requesting that all toes except the big toe be rounded. She ignored this and cut my big toe into a strange, uneven shape. When I asked if she planned to fix it, she said she still needed to file. I said we'd see how it looked after filing, but she barely filed at all--more like pretending. By then, the shape was already ruined. She moved on to the other foot with the same bad attitude and again ruined the shape. It was obvious she didn't care about doing a decent job. I asked for someone else to finish because she clearly didn't know how to do nails and her attitude was unacceptable. At that point, Jack--the so-called manager and owner--came over. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ryann stood up, threw a towel on my foot, walked away, and said, "Haven't you been here before?" I said yes, about a year ago. She then said, "Why would you come back?" which made no sense.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In hindsight we should've gotten up and left at that moment. We even kept asking Jack, "What's her problem? What did we do?" as he had stated he was the manager. We didn't know they both were the owners as they lied when asked. I asked to cut my own nails just to salvage the shape. Even though my pedicure started after my mom's, Jack finished mine first while my mom was still sitting there unfinished. He then claimed they were about to close (a lie--it was only 6pm) and asked my mom to pay. She paid, was still owed change, and returned to her seat since her nails weren't done. That's when Ryann completely lost it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She started yelling at my mom, "Why are you staring at me? You're trespassing. Get out, bitch!" She had been giving us dirty looks the entire time, but suddenly, after they took our money, we were "trespassing."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She continued screaming profanity for 20-30 minutes, repeatedly calling us "bitch," calling us ugly, and mocking us for being a mother and daughter getting pedicures together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She claimed she had kicked us out before, which never happened. She was clearly making things up. Why would anyone return to a business they were banned from? [[HIGHLIGHT]]She caused a huge scene, threatened to call a senator, and even charged at my mom with her fists raised, saying she wanted to punch her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of this is on their surveillance cameras. She eventually called the police. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When the officer arrived, he listened to us and actually apologized for the harassment and the service we experienced.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ryann recorded us only after provoking us, while we never recorded her. We were completely shocked. She acted as if she knew us personally and had some past issue with us--yet she had no problem serving us or taking our money. We didn't remember her at all. After leaving, I realized the last time I was here was June 2025, also with my mom. Ryann had done my pedicure then too, and it was bad as well. I never said anything rude--at most, I showed dissatisfaction, which is my right as a paying customer. A younger man did my acrylic set that day and did a great job, which is why that's all I remembered. Clearly, she remembered us and held a grudge. Bad nails can be fixed. Harassment cannot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This business does not care about customers, quality, or professionalism. The owners have no idea how to run a business, and Ryann in particular seems deeply unhappy and takes it out on customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place should be shut down. RE: I'm not sure where this alleged prior "ban" is coming from, as that never happened. If we were truly unwelcome, service could have been refused when we arrived--yet you chose to serve us and take our payment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We did not berate staff. We expressed dissatisfaction with a service that was poorly performed, which customers are entitled to do. The verbal abuse and escalation that followed were inappropriate and unprofessional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Your public response, filled with personal attacks and accusations, mirrors the behavior experienced in person and speaks for itself. A review is meant to reflect a customer's experience, and mine does so accurately. I will not engage further. Any future communication should be handled professionally.
First, I want to start by saying this place was extremely disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've consistently had my nails done for years, and I knew something was off the moment the technician kept trying to argue with me about what product was on my nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been going to the same nail tech for four years back home, so I know the difference between builder gel and acrylic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of listening, she kept insisting I was wrong.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I was moved to someone else. After the soak-off, the technician actually used his fingernails to scrape product off instead of proper tools, which was unhygienic and unprofessional. He ended up breaking two of my natural nails in the process. My cuticles were never pushed back or trimmed, and there was no dehydrator or primer used before application just buffing straight into acrylic. What really shocked me was the lack of sanitation and prep. I was never asked to wash my hands, the dust from filing was never cleaned off, and he didn't even dust off my nails before applying the French tip polish. Because of that, there are visible pieces of debris stuck inside the white polish. Also adding he did not compare nail lengths with other hand. Overall, the experience felt rushed, unsanitary, and poorly done. Spending $76 for a soak-off and overlay with French tips was absolutely not worth it. Honestly, I would've been better off buying press-ons from Amazon. I will never return, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality nail work.
Danny did a great job with my fill. He reshaped my chunky set into a dainty almond shape and created a pretty fall design. He was very communicative, professional, and careful with his work. Salon is still well-maintained, clean, and has professional and courteous staff.
Went here to get my wedding nails done. Turned out for lazily done, told them I didn't like the nails I sadly didn't have time to have them remove them in this visit. Still charged me $137 for nails and pedicure they were unable to do a French tip even so I asked them to stop while doing it. Do not recommend this shop. Highly over priced and lazily done.
Completely unprofessional, my sister went in to get her nails done FOR HER WEDDING, the nails don't look ANYTHING like the photo she showed them, she told them they do not look good the lady said "these look better than the photo" WHICH IS NOT TRUE. She had to stop them in the beginning of her pedicure as well because they couldn't do a French tip on her toe. They charged her $130 for her nails STILL!!!! And they look HORRIBLE! She's absolutely stressed now because she doesn't have time to get her nails done again before her wedding. Don't go here. You can obviously tell which one is hers in the photo.
got a gel manicure and pedicure from here. they were very sweet to me and took my inspo pics and made them a reality ! i requested a shape between almond and stiletto and it came out perfect. this was my christmas set hence the red and green and i have no complaints. [[HIGHLIGHT]]all the staffing was very reassuring and easy going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the best salon ive been too so far in reno.
Sorry I had to revised my previous review. Last girl I liked moved to Texas. Trying a young man named Dennie. I don't want to give a bad review, because these are really nice people. Was disappointed that I was no longer offered a Spa Pedicure and they automatically went to do the basic. Which involves no solution in the soak .. just plain water. The first pedicure I had with the girl that moved to Texas was amazing. She was gentle and thorough. She used all the soaks and lotions in the Spa kit, and wrapped both my legs in warm towels. The second "basic" pedicure I had, I felt like they were trying to get done as soon as possible. Put a single towel over both legs .. no wrapping involved. And with the last I noticed that they don't seem to have a sterilizer for their manicure tools.
Wanted so badly to give this place 5 stars as [[HIGHLIGHT]]every single person that works there was insanely friendly and kind[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I got an acrylic fill/ color change and a gel pedicure. My pedicure is great. My fingernails on the other hand... I have 4 of 10 nails with massive chips in the polish. There was also an EXCESSIVE amount of acrylic fill left on all my nails. To the point I also had to go buy a file. In addition to paying $70+ for 4 chipped nails 5 hours later .
Best nail salon in town. It's clean, friendly and affordable. Jack always makes my nails look good. Best shape in town!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've tried so hard to like this place, been here several times and it's inconsistent every time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And turns out they only take Zelle or cash now and of course my nail tech didn't notify me until we were done and I've been stuck in here scrambling to figure out that whole process. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While getting dirty looks and comments from staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the nails? I wish I could just wipe them off, you could tell the artist gave up halfway through. Again, I've tried so hard to enjoy this place but this will be the last. Definitely not $81 worth of work, definitely feeling a bit scammed

Jack and Ryann have done the absolute best job at bringing this business back to life. I have been to many of salons across Reno- searching for my place as my old mail tech had temporarily moved away. I even used to come to this salon with its previous owners as spa nails (awful). After falling in love with the services I get and the friendly and freshly clean environment - I've quickly become a regular and will continue to direct anyone and everyone to this place and these particular individuals. I've found my place. I eventually told them about my old nail tech Tommy and quite literally my next visit, he works there now. It's truly quite the treat. So - long story short if you're looking for the best deal, clean environment, friendly staff, a surprise mimosa and of course, the best nails in Reno; go to LV nails. Ask for Tommy, Ryan or Jack! read more

Finding a good nail place took me a while, but I've been a client for about a year now, and I would absolutely recommend this spa. This place is always clean, and my nails always get compliments. They do classic styles and intricate designs. I've gotten both and have been fully satisfied. read more

I was needing a gel fill for my gel nails and this place was not far from where I work so I went in and asked for an appointment for the next afternoon. The woman seemed nice enough while scheduling my appointment so I felt it would be ok. When I arrived for my gel fill, I only had to wait about 15 minutes before she called me over. She gestured for me to sit down, and I did notice the plastic shield in front of my face did not look to be very clean so I tried not to lean to close to it while I talked to her. She immediately went to work getting off my old polish, she was in such a hurry she was hurting my fingers by trying to bend them in ways fingers should not be bent and the filing off of my old polish she actually kept hitting my delicate skin area around the nail and she went so low on my nails I had to pull my hand at one point cause it was burning on my nail bed. She apologized and started using a different drill bit to finish. Finally she was ready to apply the gel and when I saw her dip the brush in a powder I stopped her and reminded her I was there for a gel fill, not acrylic. She started talking in another language to the woman who made my appointment and I had no idea what was said. Next thing I know the woman jumped up and walked away and the other woman said to me, " you get acrylic with gel polish". I reminded her that was not what I was scheduled for and the woman who was working on my nails said no and walked away. So here I am with everything of my nails and I felt I had no choice at this point but to accept the acrylic. She continued to be rough with my fingers and I could not wait to finish this and get out. Finally she is done and the polish was cute and looked pretty so I did not complain. After a few days the polish started chipping real bad so I had to go to another nail salon and get them redone. When I went to the other place to have them done the guy working on my nails said how horrible they were for only one week into the polish. He had to add 3 tips to my poor broken nails before he could do the fill. I do not recommend this place at all and I do not like to give such a poor rating but this was not acceptable. read more

I would give it 0 stars if possible. Over priced and not a good job on the dip maninucure. I go next door and my nails last 4 weeks on a minimum. After 24hrs I had to go back and then another nail chipped and now not even 1 week in they break and I had to file down. This is not good. read more

Was thrown off by having a cold mani soak, 2 seconds and hands were pulled from the water. Pricing is good for a gel manicure. The front lady is super friendly. The reason I came here was because of her. read more

I just flew in from Seattle and I had nail dip done from another place near my hometown, I ripped them off and really needed a good manicure and pedicure. I'm staying in the heart of Reno downtown and needed to find a place close by and discovered LV Nails/Spa Nails on Google maps, I really liked the photos of the nail work done so decided to walk here. (Beautiful day btw Feb 2022) I called ahead to make sure they could fit me in and they took my name down and I headed over there. Super easy to find, lots of parking spots in the lot. I was greeted kindly upon entering. I wrote down my name and they had me sit in the chair to soak my feet. Q began the service for my pedi first and finished after with my manicure. I chose the colors I wanted from their little book/color panels. The massage chairs and equipment/store furniture was in great and clean/very new looking condition. Honestly way better than nail salons in Seattle so I really liked the way it felt coming in. Their wall of nail polish was nicely organized, ambience is bright, clean and comfortable. Q began my pedicure, she removed my gel polish and grinded down my nails, she actually did a REALLY great job. The prior pedi's I get they don't file/buff away the dried nail surface and Q did it for me and I was extremely happy with how nice my toes looked naked! My manicure was great as well, Q was detailed d thorough with the cuticle cleaning and did a brief massage for each hand. It was nice and I felt relaxed. I had some remnants of nail dip from my previous service but she grinded them down and really smoothed out my nails. I was also very happy with the manicure. Honestly this was the best mani and pedi that I have had in a long time, she never dug too deep and she cleaned my cuticles fingers and toes very thoroughly. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend them. They were very sweet and really felt like they cared to make sure my nails were getting the makeover they deserve! I would give this place negative stars if I could. I walked in sat down and the nail tech immediately started with the drill filed them down so far the heat of the drill burnt me, moved to the next hand and cut my finger. When I said ouch multiple times she quickly passed me off to a gentleman who proceeded to tell me the person before her damaged my nails and argued with me about which nails she filed. I asked the gentleman if he was the owner he stated he was the manager, I asked if he managed her to let him know he should t let her speak to customers this way. The woman came down from the other end of the salon screaming "what does it matter who manages me and told me to leave and denied cutting my finger. This is the absolute worst place, I have never been tested so poor read more

I was nervous to try this place - it seems like the reviews are either really good, or really bad. But it was recommended to me (as the former place, Spa Nails-not this new shop in the same place). Luckily my experience was really good! I am giving 5 stars in large part because of the amazing massage I got as part of my $35 pedicure. I went when it wasn't very busy - like 5 pm on a Monday - and I am sure that helped. No one was waiting and I didn't feel rushed at all. I did also call about 15 minutes before to check and see if they had a spot open so maybe that helped. I am so sad I forgot the name of the woman who gave me this amazing pedicure because I sure do want to go again and ask for her! Everything seemed really clean and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. I got regular polish and the choices didn't seem to be any actual brands but my toes look great a week and a half later so I have no complaints! There aren't a lot of different options for pedicures, add-ons etc. so I appreciate being able to just stick to the basics and not have anyone trying to upsell me the whole time. I would have paid extra for more massage time though :-) That woman was strong! So good. Definitely glad I went and will be going back! Oh- this shopping center is also home to Honey Bakery and an eyebrow threading place so make it a trifecta! read more

So, let me start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, that's not possible. I got both a gel mani and pedi. The gel on my fingernails is already starting to come off. This should not be happening, as it's only been two weeks. I paid extra for a spa-like experience for my feet. The towels put on my feet were not hot at all. Overall, the whole thing felt very rushed and overpriced for what I received. As I said, I tried to like this place and give them the benefit of the doubt. But, I can't and will not be back:( read more

If you want quality and precision then you will go to LV Nails, Jack and Ryan are exceptional and take a lot of pride in their work and you can tell. Trust me.., the work will be the only proof you need! They are funny too which is nice to laugh and feel comfortable in the atmosphere of the shop! read more
