There is a girl who works there at the desk all the way to the end by the bathrooms who sharpens her nail file and makes it cut into your skin as she files the side of your nail. Then she says, "oops, my nail file cut you" (continues to sharpen nail file) I wouldn't let her touch my nails and definitely not my eyebrows or eye lashes. read more

Also did a horrible job without taking the whole acrylic off, sometimes pick and choose battles but I definitely told everyone in Reno how bad they are. This is the absolutely the worst place Ever to get your nails or toes done. I am from out of town and for the past 15 years for the most part I have gotten a manicure weekly. She did not disinfect her tools. There was previous dead skin all over the table top. The gal who gave me my four minute manicure had absolutely filthy nails. This should have raised a red flag. I'm so disappointed. I used to come here every two weeks for years for a fill. Once it switched over to new owners, I feel like the quality has gone downhill. It seems like they are in a hurry, and my nails always break within days when I'm used to my nails lasting at least two weeks. I work a desk job, and live a very low impact life, so broken nails should be unusual for me. When I've gone back to fix the broken nail, it gets a half done job to fix it and it ends up breaking again within another couple of days. Im a licensed cosmetologist who had been getting their nails done for 10+ years, so I notice when shortcuts are being taken. At my last appointment, they tried to apply acrylic before removing all of the previous gel color, and one of my nails that broke was not fixed, and instead they put another layer of acrylic over it as a bandaid. The location is very convenient for me, but even that isn't enough at this point. I really hope they take this feedback to improve, because I really tried to stay loyal for the last year or so, even after the new owners came. But after so many disappointing sets of nails, I will have to be done. read more

LV Nails is owned by a very nice couple who took over the business which was once Spa Nails. In a short amount of time they have updated the salon and made many positive changes. I still see Tammy who has been at the same location for years and is simply amazing. The new owners replaced all the massage chairs, tables where your nails are done, and much more. They have also brought into the business new products, like the jello pedicure. I look forward to my continued mani and pedi's at LV Nails. read more

I went here thinking it was Spa Nails,only to find out it changed hands in Jan.2021.I just had the WORST pedicure I have ever had.The person that did my pedicure,apparently did not really want to do it.My feet were not even soaked for more than one minute,then he proceeded to do the cuticles,everything was rushed,again my feet were not soaked at all.I am now at home my heels still dry, bottom line,I need another pedicure,pronto.The woman I had when it was Spa nails was fantastic.I will NEVER go back.The creature at the front,was RUDE as can be.PS,I am in the beauty industry for decades,I know good service from bad.Don't waste your time and money here. read more

I have been to LV Nails probably a half-dozen times. Each time Kieu ("Q") has given me a gel manicure that has made me proud to show off my nails. And I do get favorable comments on them. Q is meticulous and knowledgeable about what she is doing. I had a big lengthwise crack in one nail that I did not want to cut down. Q was able to repair it and that repair has lasted 2 months so far. I would suggest LV Nails to anyone. Once the warm weather dictates sandals, I will get my pedicures there too. Caroline read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The lady who sits in the very front is the rudest nail technician I've ever met. She snaps at you, talks to you like she's above you. The nails are horrific. Go to magic nails in the same parking lot. Much better service. Also, appointment times are NOT kept. They do not use clean tools on incoming clients. Watch out for nail infection!! They run 30 to 60 minutes behind schedule. Don't waste your money on the joke of a salon ! read more

Staff was nice, but my nails, not so much. I asked for an almond shape. The technician put product on top of my cuticle instead of pushing them back causing lifting and just overall looked awful. It has been a few months since my last experience in this shop. The customer service is terrible. I have visited the salon several times in the last year or so. The new management has no respect for their customers. The male tech that did my manicure / pedicure is rude. I was not thrilled with his service the first couple times that I had my nails done. It was just after Covid, and everyone was getting back to normal. He gets frustrated very easily & takes it out on you, the customer. My final visit was the last straw. If I point something out, he gets offended. If I don't point something out he needs to be aware of, he gets mad. I was in tears. I wanted to get up & leave in the middle of the pedicure. The attitude felt like he did not want to be doing the job. I was an inconvenience I left before the manicure. I said something to the owner on the way out. She starts yelling at me. She says he is their best tech. All the customers love him. I find that hard to believe. I would hate to see their worst. I said I would not be back, and she said "good", don't come back. I was a regular customer for seven years to the previous owner of Spa Nails. I decided to give LV nails a try and I was not very happy when I left. The fumes inside were so bad my eyes were burning. My aunt brought my 9 month old to tag along and they both had to leave because it was hard to breathe. It's hard to enjoy a manicure when you can't wait to get out of there for fresh air. My aunt decided not to get her nails done because of this. However I can suffer through for the sake of a new set. It was truly the customer service I received from a man named Minh that sealed the deal of a losing a customer. He seemed annoyed I was there for a gel set and was overall unpleasant. Instead of using his words or gentle mannerisms other manicurists do to change fingers, hands, he shoved my hands out of the way when he needed a different finger. I didn't feel pampered I felt unwanted. I accidentally hit one of my thumbs before he was done and he gave a big sigh and shook his head without saying another word. If he wasn't annoyed of me before he definitely let me know then. I apologized for my mistake but he made me feel so unwelcome. I stayed quiet the whole appointment, feeling like I wasn't allowed to speak after being shut down for trying to make small conversation. I came to the salon as a once a year treat to myself and regret going here for the terrible experience. He did a decent job on my nails but women usually come to the salon for more than the end result, but to be treated like a person. Don't bring your family or friends here, there are lots of other salons in Reno that will treat you right. read more
