This is my 2nd time coming here. It was much better than my 1st experience. The 1st time I came, I got a full set, almond shaped, and a pedicure. The full set hardly lasted a week and a half, and I really didn't like the shape. They were extremely round and were pointing in an upward direction, if that makes sense. The pedicure I got didn't make it for up to 1 week. They were chipped by the 3rd day. On this latest visit, I was seen by Rose. She opened up the shop early to be able to accommodate my sister and I, which I really appreciated. I got an almond shaped full set, and opted out of the pedicure this time. I was much happier with these nails over the last ones I got done. They were more almond shaped like I requested. The direction of the nail was normal. The French was nice and neat too. Had a great experience here! I was able to use Class Pass points so it was super convenient. The space itself is large and comfortable. They had TVs all around so you had something to watch. I've been coming here for 6 years. I normally have great pedicures. I've only had a few gel manicures, but none as atrocious as this. This gel manicure is a joke. You can still see my nail (she needed to do a 3rd coat and did not). It's not at all shiny and actually feels sticky. She started w the color I picked, but I guess it was so old it wasn't working, so I had to pick a new color. She wiped off the 1st color and never put on the base coat again. Then, after 2 coats, she starts filing my nail and tells me it's not dry, and puts my hand back in the light thing. Never fixed the part she filed while it was still wet. It looks awful and I'm mad at myself for paying $45 for this. I will not return. read more

Plan to stay a while to ensure perfection - they never rush! Even if it's closing time, they take their time. Susan cares about the health of your nails too. Went to have the dip nails with extensions and my nails did not come out well. We spent almost 2 hours on my manicure and the result was patchy purple ombré and flat uneven nails. They are usually good with their work and I didn't want to be rude to the tech. When I started to point out that the shape was uneven she politely dismissed my concern and continued to work on my hands telling me she will fix it during filing. After she did her best to complete the ombré dip+full set the nails just still looked off. I knew at this point the issue was not miscommunication and it was beyond her ability. I came in for a gel manicure and my nail tech was doing great; no cuts while cutting my cuticles or anything! I decided to get gems and have got them at other places. I was at the salon for 1 hr 30 mins so I thought the gems would stay on, especially because I went in the LED light about 7 times per hand, which def seem ecessive. Two hours later they fell off and I called the salon. I was just upset that they were $5 each per medium size rhinestone and $1 each for tiny gems, so in total I paid $14 for all my rhinestones. I called the salon to tell them, but they said I have to come back so they can fix it. I explained I was already driving to the cape and they said they can't do anything and literally said "what do you want then?" I asked for a refund for the gems that fell off, $10, and they refused. I asked for a partial refund of $5, and they refused. If you want to waste 1 hr 30 mins for a messed up manicure, come here. I spent $44 and paid a generous tip to my nail tech, Kim, and I'm left with chunks of glue on my nails and terrible customer service. I've been coming here for about 8 months. With covid, I bought my own diy gel nails kit and made due. However when things bean to slowly open up again I decided I was ready to go back to the professionals. Enter Luxxe Nails. What I like about this place is that they do online scheduling, and no walk-ins. When you arrive you're given hand sanitizer and they take your temperature. All service stations (including pedicure stations) have a plastic partition between them. They also have posted at each service area a certificate related to sanitation. The one thing I don't like is that they don't allow tips through CC. They want you to venmo/cash app which is NOT to my nail tech though I'm told it goes to her. I've tried to ask my tech about this unfortunately there is a language barrier. I try to tip her in cash though sometimes if I forget I'll still do the cash app and hope for the best. read more

Asked for a coffin shaped nail with thin layer of powder for a natural look (something that I do for a long time and never had problems with), my nails look like I got them done 2 weeks ago, extremely far from the skin, thick thick thick, uneven coffin shape, I can see my real nail on the sides coming out and the polish was terribly applied, uneven wavy and missing a bunch of spots on the side, she was rushing because another client got there and she wanted to take her! the price is not that cheap compared to others around so don't waste your money, go somewhere else! read more

Came here on a referral from a friend and am so happy I did! I'm very particular and only get pink and white French acrylic. It's always very tough to find a salon with nail techs that can do this style of nails, so when I decided to change salons I was ready for it to take a few try's to find the right person, but Kevin did them PERFECTLY. He only works 2 days a week, but I'm totally happy to work around his schedule to come back. The lines on my French are flawless and he did my nails exactly how I wanted them. The staff was very nice and the salon was clean. The technician seems to do a good, complete job but my dip nail polish began to chip away with 3 days. I have had dip polish at other salons and it has lasted 2+ weeks with nails feeling hard like acrylics. With this current one, my nails feel pliable, like I only have regular polish on. I don't know if it's the product, technique or both. I should go back for a redo, but if I'm going to have the same problem, I'd rather go elsewhere and have it done right. Pedicure was ok, although I did have some slight redness and soreness around cuticles a couple of days after. Also got a full gel manicure with tips, wanted almond shaped french ombre, but was a bit disappointed with the results. The gel is not even and has a bump in the middle of each nail, the gel polish is also a bit in uneven in spots. Cuticles were not trimmed properly and peeling right after. The gel application really burned while curing under the UV light. Also, it was hard to communicate with the nail tech due to language barrier. read more

First I wanna start this review with a huge KUDOS for great customer service ! So after my nail tech left the salon I assisted for 4 years I been floating from salon to salon. I tried every salon in Roslindale. A few in Needham. A couple in JP and nothing. It's been 6 months and I am delighted to have found my new nail tech. I looked them up on Yelp and although I see the bad reviews I really liked the website interaction so I booked my appt. I called because I couldnt do the time I booked but the guy was soooooo nice he said dont worry to come earlier. When I got there i waited about 20 min not too bad. Maggie was very helpful in helping me find the color and explaining the difference in the dip powder and gel acrylic. I had to get all my nails removed because the previous nail salon I went to a week before that did a disaster on my nails. Now you are wondering why the 4 stars right? Ok, Not a big fan of the prices. The pedicure is overpriced and not worth 30$ I think for a 30$ pedicure I should have gotten a better cleaning which was done by another person but it was still OK. The nails were a bit overpriced but I absolutely LOVEEEEEE my nails guys so it was worth it ! Maggie paid attention to my every need and my vision and she made it happen ! *ACRYLICS and EYEBROW WAX REVIEW* -ACRYLICS- I had a skinny older lady do my nails. I asked for coffin shape and to add a few gems. She did a decent job. However my coffin nails almost looked square. I wish she made them a bit skinnier. And i asked her to put gems in a line on my middle finger. when she put the gems on, she put a few on upside down. Like how do you not notice that. And some were out of line. Good thing my topcoat was still a bit wet so I could shift them over into place myself. At the end of that day I notice that my nails hurt a bit when I gently push down on them. People say that that's due to the tech filing down my nails too much. -WAXING- DO NOT get your wax done here. They do not seem to be sanitary at all. The older lady brought me into a small room in the back. The table that the clients lay on is covered with a towel that looks like it hasn't ever been washed. There were several noticable stains. And there was a little gold, flattened pillow that was completely uncovered. I immediately felt uncomfortable. The lady did a horrible job. She rushed thru everything. She waxed the main parts where i had stray hairs. And she gave me the mirror to ask how I like it. I told her it's OK and I asked her to clean it up a bit for me since you can't get the stray hairs that are closer to your eyebrow with just waxing. And this lady literally plucked like 2 pieces of hair on my left eyebrow and said I was done. She put the mirror at my face and when I tried to grab it she yanked it away. Like wtf lady. I do not pay you to do a half assed job. She didn't trim my eyebrows, didn't shape them or do anything. Had to fix them myself when I went home... $60 +tip for full set acrylics, gel nail polish with gem design, and matte top coat. And also an eyebrow wax. Thats really cheap. Maybe it'll be a better experience with a different nail tech. Just avoid waxing. read more

I can honestly say my search for the perfect nail salon and spa is over. Upon entering, I was greeted by a very kind receptionist and was seen immediately. They offer a very large variety in colors in both gel and regular polish. Most importantly, I did not feel as though I were suffocating from the toxic smells of acetone and polish. The numerous stations were spotless and provided very comfortable chairs. UV nail beds were embedded in their nail stations which was very convenient! They offer various packages in pedicures as well. My mother got the Luxxe package which she was absolutely pleased with. The manicurists and pedicurists did not rush and took their time in ensuring a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this little slice of heaven to everyone! read more

I scheduled an appointment with Susan who I had a great experience with last time but she was unavailable and they scheduled me with Joyce. I got dip powder manicure with removal and chrome powder and was charged $77. Sounded a little expensive but I paid and left the salon. I checked back in my banking app and I was charged $67 for the exact same service, with the chrome powder, when I was there two months ago. I called back and asked for an explanation, and I was told that the chrome powder is $15 and I was also charged an extra $6 for "almond shape." I originally had oval and Joyce told me I should try the almond because it would look nice on my hands. She purposefully neglected to tell me the fact that the shape was an extra charge. I never would've agreed to it otherwise. My nails are not long at all either. Very sneaky and dishonest. So that was an extra $6, not sure where the other $4 is coming from either, no explanation for that. I will never go back to this place again, which is unfortunate because I did have a great experience with Susan. Pricing is not consistent and I find it extremely unprofessional to trick someone into paying extra for something without their knowledge. read more

This was my first time going here and I was pleased with how nice everyone is especially because I was a few minutes late to my appointment and my friend wanted to switch from a gel manicure to a dip powered manicure. My only issue is the manicure I got. I decided to try dip powder for the first time because I'm going on a trip in a couple of weeks and I wanted to have my nails nicely done before I go. I was in there yesterday morning at 11am and already my top coat is chipping. The top corners of 4 of my nails have chipped and the thumb on my left had is grainy and has air bubbles. Definitely not the nicest manicure I've had because my nails look poorly done and I'm very disappointed. Wow! Being Vietnamese myself I'm very picky when it comes to going to salon. I always have something I didn't like about a place especially since I'll go home and finish fixing anything they may have missed. Each time I would go to salon, the ladies would figure out that I look Vietnamese or my name at check out gives it away. That being said, I can understand every conversation they have. I love that they are not gossipy, respect each other and their clients. They were very clean with their technique and I like going to places where they bag the pedicure chair bins. Even though they had a lot of walk-ins near closing time, they never rushed anyone and even stayed an hour past their closing time to finish my manicure properly. I also forgot to bring flip flops so LyLy wrapped my toes in saran wrap and oil. Other places would have not cared or charged me extra for those flimsy deposable flip flops.
