Another rave review for Kate! She has magical hands, and a kind heart. I won't let anyone else touch my lashes.

She is super friendly and personable and really listens to her clients and quite frankly that is really hard to find now a days because all these other estheticians want is your money rather than loyalty. The moment you walk in the environment is super clean and neat, which is super important in the beauty industry. I love the decor in this place. Daniela is so sweet and passionate about what she does. You can definitely rely on her when it comes to what she thinks your skin needs without pressuring you into upgrading or purchasing anything. P.S- ask for the blueberry enzyme - a little tingly but does the job and makes your skin feel amazing! Daniela and I can converse for hours about literally anything haha but if you need your me time she can do that as well. We talk all the time, but I still feel relaxed. She has some of the best prices around here-including Boston area. And to be honest, she is worth way more than what she is charging already. I highly recommend getting the package deals she offers. Plus, if you purchase another package before your 1st package is over you get a complimentary facial!! (100% worth it) Super easy to get to this place. I use to live in Brookline and now I moved to Malden and still drive 45 minutes to an hour to get here. There are plenty of estheticians in my area and in Boston that I pass by to get here, but I one thousand percent choose her any day! I literally leave this place glowing and feeling like a brand new person. She does wonders to my skin! Plenty of street parking and public transportation drops you off a couple stores down. I brought my boyfriend here recently and he wants to make it a commitment to come back once a month together. That was his first time getting a facial and he is hooked. Daniela gets booked pretty quickly, especially on the weekends so I would suggest booking as soon as you leave. Or you can easily shoot her a text. She is super quick at responding. Keep in mind that she is the only one running the show here so the door will be closed until she is finished with her previous client.

As soon as you walk through the door it feels as if you have been transported away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The space, is stunning....its both luxurious and tranquil. Kelly warmly welcomed me and walked me through the different options for facials. I ended up choosing one that was focused on hydration because I tend to have dry skin. Rose was the aesthetician that performed my treatment and she was absolutely amazing. I have never fallen asleep in any massage or facial in my entire life...and when I tell you I could not keep my eyes open....I am not exaggerating. This was the most relaxing treatment I have ever had!! I fell asleep, even snored a bit. I was so comfortable, relaxed and cozy, and the massage throughout the facial was the "chefs kiss". You are really getting the best of the best. Of course my skin was glowing after and I left feeling like a new woman. 5/5 I would give more if I could ! Can't wait to go back

From the moment you check in with Ashley at the front desk to the care you receive from Morgan and Anna, you feel welcomed, supported, and most importantly seen. I have alopecia areata, and as a woman, losing my hair was devastating. I cried many tears over the years, but then, out of nowhere, my hair started sprouting back. It felt like God was saying, "Here, take this," and I wasn't about to question it! That's when I found Dr. Ip through a referral, and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. She evaluated me with such care and expertise, starting me on a treatment plan tailored to my needs. We began with topical treatments, added excimer therapy after a few months, and incorporated steroid shots every 6-8 weeks. No two treatment plans are the same, but I am living proof that Dr. Ip's hands have been blessed by God! Beyond the top-tier care, what I love about Vibrant Dermatology is that they never push products on you. They make thoughtful recommendations, and you have the freedom to say yes or no (trust me, I've done both!). If you're looking for a dermatologist who truly cares, give Dr. Ip a try, and be sure to tell her that Shaleah, her favorite Alopecian, sent you! I mean, I must be her fave, right? Lol.

Often I was treated with condescension and made to feel like it was just about the money with the Dr. and her staff. Dr. Ip responded in bad faith with regard to several insurance claims (claims that were eventually paid out to the Dr by my insurance). With so many talented dermatologist in the Boston- Metro area, I was colossally disappointed that this office and staff lacked the professionalism and attention to patient concerns I've come to expect with all of my medical providers. If you want a provider that prioritizes dollars and notoriety over patient care and satisfaction... then Dr. Ip and her staff are the folks for you. I got a Livingsocial deal for a facial at American Skin Care. I was nervous after reading reviews on here regarding the staff's hard-selling and pushing of "additional services" on customers. In my opinion, if you can't afford to offer a discounted product and eat the difference, don't offer the discount! Offering a discount then forcing add-ons on your customers (that rightly should have been included) to make your money back is wrong. And that's exactly what they did. Nanci, my esthetician, was very nice. We had a good chat during my facial. But during the treatment, she told me I needed to buy an "exfoliating treatment" for an additional $25, whereas, I've never heard of a facial that didn't include exfoliation. I bought it, 'cause I thought the facial would be useless without it, but when she tried to sell me some "ampule hydrating" treatment to go under my mask for another $15, I refused. I'd already paid $22 for the LivingSocial deal, so I didn't actually end up with a discounted treatment, in the end. The masks, as others mentioned, are very Hannibal-Lecter-inspired, and I cracked up while the first one was on my face (to warm my skin before extraction). The extractions were rough, and she used great force on my nose, though a previous esthetician specifically told me not to due so due to burst blood vessels in that area (those bright red veinies on your nostrils). So I'm concerned she did some damage there. My chin and nose were violently-itchy post-extraction, and I let her know I didn't want any more add-on products for fear of how my sensitive skin might react. I did really enjoy the facial massage and upper chest massage, in fact, I would've paid for that alone and skipped the rest. The room was really comfy, and looked clean, and the facility was nice. Nanci made sure I had some water and got to use the restroom before she began, which I appreciated! Then, post-treatment, another hard sell. How about some products to take home for a couple hundred dollars? How about a facial package for a couple hundred more? I've posted a photo of the recommendations I was given, and their price tag. All in all, this would've been SO much better if they didn't seem so desperate for business, and weren't constantly distracting me with a sales pitch. No thanks!
