I love my lashes!! Trang did an excellent job! I think I was only there for an hour or so, she was very fast and efficient. Only complaint would be the construction going on in the strip mall where the business is located but that's not the salons fault. Even with the noise of the construction I managed to take a catnap while Trang was working on me. Like a previous reviewer mentioned Trang is on the quiet side so I didn't know what was coming next but I've had lashes done before so it was no big deal. She DID send me a detailed text after the procedure so I knew how to care for my lashes. The price is right and the work is quality! The eyelash specialist/owner was extremely rude to me the entire time. She berated me for having oily skin and shouted on and on about how I need to change my hair products because they it's causing greasy hair that affects the extensions. Mind you, I'm a brand new, black client, with a pixie cut so my hair NEVER touches my eyelashes. Also my face and hair only respond to certain products. When I told her that she shouldn't be speaking with new clients this way, she said she somehow confused me with a previous client, which I don't understand because I called her before walking into her one-room 'salon'. I've been to quite a few lash techs, and it's clear Trang is one of the best. I don't even let anyone else touch my lashes anymore. My lashes are always beautiful and long-lasting when I go to her. I'm confused about the criticism on her reserved demeanor. She's just a quiet person and English is not her first language. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. You can tell she is kind spirited. She greets you upon entry and comments on other things if she finds it necessary. Writing this review after my refill. This is my first time getting my lashes done so I don't really have anything to compare it to. The place is nice but not very well signed. The spa it's self is in a small beauty business shared space. The space is small but clean. The tech her self is a woman of very few words. I had the same lady both times for the full set and the refill. I gave her four stars because she doesn't really explain step-by-step process like when she's going to clean your eyes and put tape all over your face. overall product is really good. My eyes aren't red after like you see a lot and bad reviews. I feel like when I went for my refill my lashes are still pretty intact. She gives you very few instructions on how to care for them. The faucet took about an hour and a half in the refill took about 40 minutes. I've read reviews where people take over two hours so I guess that was pretty good. Didn't hurt at all. First I will say that this is the first time that I have ever had my lashes done and they do look beautiful. In fact if they did not look so good I would not have continued to keep coming to get my lashes done with Trang every 2-3 weeks for the past 4 months. Like the other reviews mentioned the space is small but neat and clean. It does the job. However the lash technician/business owner is not the most professional or personable in her line of work. She is very quiet and does not say much to you, so much to the point that its awkward when I walk in and ask how she is or how her day is going she completely ignores me. She does not want any small talk at all unless she is answering her phone in the middle of doing my lashes and carrying on a conversation while I lay there afraid that she is going to drop her phone on my face. If you are considering going here for lashes just first be prepared that it is cash only. Also, be prepared that if you book an appointment online and you confirm your appointment that she will text you directly every time addressing you by a different name, and ask if you can come in at a different time either the same day or the next day sometime. If you oblige her and change your appointment, next be prepared that when you get to the strip mall at the time of your appointment she will text you again and ask you to wait in your car for anywhere from 7 - 11 minutes and she will text you again when she is ready for you to come in which is usually because her client before you is running a little later or because she isn't there yet and I see her go in the front door right as I am getting her "Please come in" text. Even with the silent treatment and the changing of appointment times I still didn't mind going as I got to take a little nap and leave with beautiful lashes but I will tell you what it was that bothered me the most and what I consider to be completely unprofessional and not the way you treat people in general especially as a business owner. Like I said, this is my first time getting lashes so I don't know if other lash companies follow these same guidelines as far as lashes go. The prices weren't that bad I thought. I think my initial first set was $169 after purchasing a Groupon and the 2 week refill was $69 and if I waited and went for a 3 week refill it was about $90. I did get instructions on how to care for my lashes, EVERY SINGLE VISIT!!! I guess my lashes were falling out faster than some other lash customers and Trang made sure to tell me every time. She would reiterate to me that I need to stay away from heat and oil. She told me that I can not sleep on my side and that I need to purchase a special high profile eye mask for sleep to protect my lashes. All of which I did. But every visit she kept telling me that I must be using my oven. Did she expect me not to cook. She told me not to take a hot shower or to let the water run down my face in the shower. So Im supposed to take a cold shower in the middle of winter? She told me that my hair was more oily than other peoples hair and that oil will run down my face and ruin my lashes. She told me that some of her other clients lashes last longer than 4 weeks than mine do in 2 weeks. Now I work in healthcare, as a nurse. What if I had a patient that told me that he/she was in pain and I told them that all my other patients don't complain of pain the same way he/she does so they shouldn't either. So I had my last 2 week refill appointment today. Everything went the same as usual, got the call to change the appointment time, the text to wait in the car for 10 minutes, the silent treatment when I tried to make small talk about the upcoming snowstorm and then it started. "So did you open the oven? You're lashes are all gone." I went on to again explain how careful I try to be but yes I do cook in the oven, I do not stick my face in it and even though I don't let the water run over my face in the shower, yes I do take hot showers. So she proceeds to tell me that since my lashes are almost all gone that she will need to charge me for a full set again. I asked if this is how it is normally done that you get charged a full set at a 2 week refill appointment if there is and excessive amount of fall-out. She tells me no that none of her other clients have this problem. That they are CAREFUL! Inferring that I obviously am not! I told her that I did not bring that amount of cash with me. She said that she will give me a discount but did not tell me an amount. I pulled out eight $20 dollar bills and handed her five of them, $100. She sat there quietly looking at the other three $20 bills in my hand with a question on her face like why am I not giving it all to her. She did not ask me to schedule our next appointment like she usually does, so I asked her. She told me the next time I come in for a refill that she will count how many lashes fell out and charge me accordingly. So I left! read more
