This place is really a hit or miss when it comes to their pedicure services. I know with inflation, everything has really gotten pricey, but their breakdown of spa pedicure packages seems off. Before, we'd get callus scrub as part of a regular pedicure. Now, it isn't included in a basic pedicure. I usually go in for a basic pedicure with gel polish. Totaling $35 and I tip $5. But if they're in a rush, they do really sloppy work. I suggest going in early during the week to avoid shotty work. Since they moved location, the building is clean, remodeled and nice. Been going here for awhile now and just recently went last weekend to get my nails done I felt like we were being rushed. Two days later my nails start lifting from the front. I love this place. Everyone who works here is so incredible kind, uplifting, joyful and just plain good people. I have had multiple pedicures, gels and acrylics and every time I leave happy and get so many compliments on their work. Their pedicure is the best! The massage chairs work out your back and they are always in great working order. There are different pedicure packages you can choose from but trust me they are all worth it. They don't do a half ass job like some nail places trying to get you in and out. They do things right here. Being a teacher I prefer my nails on the shorter side and it seems everytime I want something different. I've been going here for a few years off and on... Tammy, John and Kim are very comforting and kind. I stopped going here because every time my nails would get done, they'd pop off right away, mind you I do acrylic toes and nails, it is not cheap. Went with my grandma this weekend because this is where she prefers to go and my experience after I left was terrible. I had a wedding the day after, went to wedding with one lifted nail and one completely broke off, and two days later the gel on my toenail fell off. I don't understand how/why they have to rotate 3-5 different people to work on your nails. There's even times where they'll stop working on you to go work on someone. Been in here for 2 hours sitting at a station to get a fill (not a full set), a simple fill, that should take ONE person and take like 45 minutes MAX. Asked for one nail to have a little more acrylic added to it because it was flat and the others weren't and just for that one nail getting acrylic, they tried to charge for a full set when it was a fill. On top of the lack of service, there are baby roaches running around on the stations, the nail color samples and on the sanitation products. Plus, no one that works here washes their hand or even uses hand sanitizer between clients. There pedicures are wonderful, they go above and beyond what other fancy salons do, very careful & very thorough. Ik was really debating on leaving review but after my second nail breaking felt like I had to. Firstly they charged me 45 for gel acrylics which were only 35 the last time I went. They had three different people file my nails and the sides were all wonky and fucked up. Been here a couple times . Not the cleanest. First time I came here Eric (the owner) cussed out some lady and her child. Cops were called, was pretty entertaining as I was getting a pedicure. Was new to Bakersfield so I just thought that's how oildale rolled and was pretty happy with my pedicure even though the tech was asking me to stop laughing most of the time. I then returned to get a manicure told the guy doing my nails that I wanted them coffin. Don't think he understood me as my nails were completely squared and barely filed down. If I could give less, I totally would!!!! First of all, there were so many different techs working on our nails. I went in with my niece both wanted acrylic gels. Mine square shaped and hers coffin. One minute one guy is working on mine, walks away in the middle of the job, goes to someone else, then I get another person, and this just kept going on and on. Idk how many people worked on my nails. I asked for mine to be thinned out since they were so thick and I'm sorry, but I'm paying so I should have a say in what I get. They start rushing with my nails because other customers walked in. I started noticing little things that were crooked or uneven and when I brought it up, they got mad. My niece asked if her nails were supposed to be so uneven. His response, "do you do nails?!" turned heads. She told the man she was just asking a question. He started yelling at her and told her to get out. Nails not done. Then I told them they had bad attitudes and he threatened and yelled that he was going to call the cops on me. I paid, knowing damn well I was going to call my bank after to reverse the charge. I told them they didn't know anything about customer service. Please do not go here. If I could give this place zero stars I would do that not only because of my experience but for sanitary reasons. I went here for my first time recently and had an ok experience with Eric. I got a gel fill and it was really nothing special. I came here because my nail lady was booked for the weekend and needed them as soon as possible so I was grateful that they took me in during the holidays and Covid. I gave Eric $10 tip And went on my way. Two days later one of the nails fall off and I go to the salon to get it fixed they did not seem too happy about it but they fixed it anyways. I asked them if they can remove it and do it again it was short uneven and the coat was very sheer. Then I am told why am I not happy the nail was broken and they fixed it for no charge I explain to them I was only here two days ago so this was their mistake. The owner gets mad and tells Eric to file My other nails so it looks like the nail they just fixed and I tell them I do not want my nails to be filed I just want that one nail to be redone and I just came here not long ago and gave him a $10 tip, so if he can just fix it I will be happy and leave. Instead he tells me do I want my tip back in a rude way and I told him if he does not want to fix my nail then yes I would like my tip back and that's when he told me , "no I do not want to fix your nails". He gave me my money and I told them that I tried to give this place a chance but they are very rude. I would avoid this place even if it's the last nail salon available in Bakersfield. I have been to a few places around Bakersfield and always left a little disappointed. Not here though! Today was my first time here I went in for a full set and a pedicure. Eric was my tech and he was so nice! I never felt uncomfortable like I usually do at the salon. He was chatty but not over chatty which was nice it wasn't awkward! He was quit but the work was great. I had someone else for my pedi and I didn't catch his name but he gave the best massage and did an amazing job on my feet which were dry from the weather! Trash! Trash salon, trash service, TRASH. Was there for 2.5 hours and walked out $30 broker with crappy nails that I just want to RIP off! After that, I waited another 30 minutes only to be moved to another table to be worked on in an assembly line with 4 women all being worked on by 1 guy. When a girl got up to pay, she asked for a discount because she had been there for 3 hours, the guy who was working on me and the time started arguing with her while hes got a nail drill on my finger burning my cuticle so he can fight with her. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. completely skips that finger then moves down the line to work on the other 3 ladies. All 10 nails are uneven in length, the color is spotty, the acrylic doesn't cover my entire thumb nail. The owner(I'm assuming) was talking crap about his own employee instead of handling it properly. Such disorganization between boss and employee. There were no sanitation rules being followed. The ONLY reason I ever came to this SH**HOLE was because my elderly neighbor gets hers done here and asked me to go with her.
