This place is really a hit or miss when it comes to their pedicure services. I know with inflation, everything has really gotten pricey, but their breakdown of spa pedicure packages seems off. Before, we'd get callus scrub as part of a regular pedicure. Now, it isn't included in a basic pedicure. I usually go in for a basic pedicure with gel polish. Totaling $35 and I tip $5. But if they're in a rush, they do really sloppy work. I suggest going in early during the week to avoid shotty work. Since they moved location, the building is clean, remodeled and nice. The spa chairs work well and they are quick. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I came in to get a face wax and the man that did my wax went to smoke came back smelling like cigarettes & didn't wash his hands or be clean how a nail place should be. I came back and complained to the owner and told him about my previous experience and asked to be accommodated for the last persons mistake and he had not a ounce of a care for me as a paying customer I will not be back to this place because if I am a paying customer I expect the best service and me giving them a second chance after the first horrible experienced I expected for things to be changed or different but it was absolutely horrible and I will never be returning to this place because I was treated horribly both times. They do not wash their hands or care about cleanliness when performing a service on their clients. read more

Been going here for awhile now and just recently went last weekend to get my nails done I felt like we were being rushed. Two days later my nails start lifting from the front. Not even a week with this set and they all popped off can't even tell I had nails on my nails look normal, I called to complain literally told me they can fix the ones that popped off I told them the whole hand is gone. He said it sounds like you took them off. Why am I going to pay a lot of money for me to take off. SMH never had this experience with them ever. I will go somewhere else from now on to get my nails done. And my nails looked so lumpy. read more

I love this place. Everyone who works here is so incredible kind, uplifting, joyful and just plain good people. You walk in and the relationships that these people have fused with their customers is beautiful to say the least. Their customer service is definitely on their A game. I have had multiple pedicures, gels and acrylics and every time I leave happy and get so many compliments on their work. Their pedicure is the best! The massage chairs work out your back and they are always in great working order. There are different pedicure packages you can choose from but trust me they are all worth it. They don't do a half ass job like some nail places trying to get you in and out. They do things right here. Being a teacher I prefer my nails on the shorter side and it seems everytime I want something different. If I don't have a clue I know I can say you have artistic freedom and your nails come out amazing. Although they do have walk ins, it gets really busy and you might want to call and make an appointment or be ok waiting. Honestly its worth the wait and actually because the atmosphere is so relaxed, happy and inviting filled with entertaining conversations the wait is bound to be a great time. read more

I've been going here for a few years off and on... Tammy, John and Kim are very comforting and kind. I stopped going here because every time my nails would get done, they'd pop off right away, mind you I do acrylic toes and nails, it is not cheap. Went with my grandma this weekend because this is where she prefers to go and my experience after I left was terrible. I had a wedding the day after, went to wedding with one lifted nail and one completely broke off, and two days later the gel on my toenail fell off. I called and talked to John, he offered a fix but to be honest I don't want to waste my time and money there anymore. read more

I don't understand how/why they have to rotate 3-5 different people to work on your nails. There's even times where they'll stop working on you to go work on someone. Been in here for 2 hours sitting at a station to get a fill (not a full set), a simple fill, that should take ONE person and take like 45 minutes MAX. Asked for one nail to have a little more acrylic added to it because it was flat and the others weren't and just for that one nail getting acrylic, they tried to charge for a full set when it was a fill. On top of the lack of service, there are baby roaches running around on the stations, the nail color samples and on the sanitation products. Plus, no one that works here washes their hand or even uses hand sanitizer between clients. So the person that just did a pedicure and hopped between 4 clients nails is going to do a brow waxing without washing their hands Spent $100+ on rude service and baby roaches read more

I've been a regular customer of Luxury Top Nails & Spa for years. My daughter and I love the entire staff, they are a faith based, locally owned business. There pedicures are wonderful, they go above and beyond what other fancy salons do, very careful & very thorough. They have a variety of packages, I love the ones with scrub, hot paraffin wax and callus remover. I usually get the gel manicure and pedicure, they have a wide selection of colors. My daughter gets acrylic nails with gel overlay. She's been to other expensive salons and honestly they don't compare to Luxury Top Nails & Spa. There prices are extremely reasonable, plus they treat us like family. We are loyal customers. Bless you guys Below is this weeks color choice, it looks incredible in person. read more

Ik was really debating on leaving review but after my second nail breaking felt like I had to. Firstly they charged me 45 for gel acrylics which were only 35 the last time I went. They had three different people file my nails and the sides were all wonky and fucked up. Two of my nails broke literally less than a week and when I called to ask if they charge they asked if I got them there and I said yes and they still said it would be $5/nail. I used to really love this place for my pedicures and nails which really sucks cause now I need a new place. If anyone knows of one not too expensive pls lmk. Hope this helps. read more

Yeah not to happy with my nails today. Looks like a 5 year old did them. I'm usually very happy with anyone that has done my nails here, been going for a long time, the last 2 times I've gotten the same lady,I think she may be new. I'm not usually one to complain, and didn't,but left not very happy, now I need to go somewhere else to have them fixed read more

I've been twice. Once for myself and once for my daughter. My experience was over all okay. The time I went for myself the Only negative thing was the lady doing my manicure actually cut my finger. I actually didn't feel anything when she did it but moment I got in my car I noticed it. It was a small little cut but it really hurt for like 3 days.. but I know mistakes happen and I know she didn't do it on purpose at all... So I bring my daughter in and a gentleman did her fingers and toes very nicely! He was very patient and did a good on her. My only complaint is my daughter sucked and pealed the gel nail polish off within 2 hours, and that is her fault not theirs! But it was a waste of money unfortunately for me. So far she hasn't messed with the toes.. I would recommended them. I felt the people inside are friendly, it's close to my home, I read more

Been here a couple times . Not the cleanest. First time I came here Eric (the owner) cussed out some lady and her child. Cops were called, was pretty entertaining as I was getting a pedicure. Was new to Bakersfield so I just thought that's how oildale rolled and was pretty happy with my pedicure even though the tech was asking me to stop laughing most of the time. I then returned to get a manicure told the guy doing my nails that I wanted them coffin. Don't think he understood me as my nails were completely squared and barely filed down. Popped right off in 2 weeks. I now go to Hollywood nails over on coffee and olive. A lil more of a drive but definitely worth it. read more

If I could give less, I totally would!!!! First of all, there were so many different techs working on our nails. I went in with my niece both wanted acrylic gels. Mine square shaped and hers coffin. One minute one guy is working on mine, walks away in the middle of the job, goes to someone else, then I get another person, and this just kept going on and on. Idk how many people worked on my nails. I asked for mine to be thinned out since they were so thick and I'm sorry, but I'm paying so I should have a say in what I get. They start rushing with my nails because other customers walked in. I started noticing little things that were crooked or uneven and when I brought it up, they got mad. My niece asked if her nails were supposed to be so uneven. His response, "do you do nails?!" turned heads. She told the man she was just asking a question. He started yelling at her and told her to get out. Nails not done. Then I told them they had bad attitudes and he threatened and yelled that he was going to call the cops on me. I paid, knowing damn well I was going to call my bank after to reverse the charge. I told them they didn't know anything about customer service. Please do not go here. The prices are great which is why I came but now I see why. Pay the extra to go somewhere nice. I was so upset after because I've never been yelled at like that before. Picture is of my niece's unfinished nails. We drove straight to another salon, the nail tech said, "oh my god!" True story. read more

If i could i would give it a negative star Worst experience ever i live in oildale n never had my nails like these he still tried to say my finger was crooked and that hes the professional here not me and he got mad for me asking him to please fix my crooked nail he had just put on and said no more nails for you. He just wanted to file my nail to make it straight instead of fixing it so i got up and left look at my unfinished nails girls u can clearly see the nail ontop of my skin as well so unprofe read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would do that not only because of my experience but for sanitary reasons. I went here for my first time recently and had an ok experience with Eric. I got a gel fill and it was really nothing special. I came here because my nail lady was booked for the weekend and needed them as soon as possible so I was grateful that they took me in during the holidays and Covid. I gave Eric $10 tip And went on my way. Two days later one of the nails fall off and I go to the salon to get it fixed they did not seem too happy about it but they fixed it anyways. After waiting about 45 minutes they are switching people to get this one nail fixed as it is finished I look at my nail and I'm not satisfied. I asked them if they can remove it and do it again it was short uneven and the coat was very sheer. Then I am told why am I not happy the nail was broken and they fixed it for no charge I explain to them I was only here two days ago so this was their mistake. The owner gets mad and tells Eric to file My other nails so it looks like the nail they just fixed and I tell them I do not want my nails to be filed I just want that one nail to be redone and I just came here not long ago and gave him a $10 tip, so if he can just fix it I will be happy and leave. Instead he tells me do I want my tip back in a rude way and I told him if he does not want to fix my nail then yes I would like my tip back and that's when he told me , "no I do not want to fix your nails". He gave me my money and I told them that I tried to give this place a chance but they are very rude. I would avoid this place even if it's the last nail salon available in Bakersfield. Aside from the rude service they switch people to do your nails and they go from one person to another without actually completing the set I'm not sure to them if they're saving time but that is Covid just waiting to be spread to another person. Save your money and your time. read more

I have been to a few places around Bakersfield and always left a little disappointed. Not here though! Today was my first time here I went in for a full set and a pedicure. Eric was my tech and he was so nice! I never felt uncomfortable like I usually do at the salon. He was chatty but not over chatty which was nice it wasn't awkward! He was quit but the work was great. I had someone else for my pedi and I didn't catch his name but he gave the best massage and did an amazing job on my feet which were dry from the weather! The prices are also good here and the shop is clean! I will 100% be back and hope to make this my regular salon! read more

How was the customer at the nail shop for about 10 months it started off nice but it got to the point where what I asked for I didn't get they gave me what they wanted to give me and on my last visit the tall gentleman in the shop was going to fix my nails my nails were purple and I asked him to put that purple on the nail to be fixed and he put a pink so I had nine purple nails and one pink and he was very short and rude with me I will never go back to luxury nails because I think they pick and choose their customers and they may be a little racial they went from a 10 with me and to a zero read more

I used to love comming to this place, they always did my nails the way I wanted them and they always looked nice.I recently started comming back and I had a fill done. I also noticed that the tips where thinning out so for an extra 5 dollars he did a fill fill. When I got home I noticed my tips were still thin..sooooo to make a long story short...not even 2 weeks later one of my nails broke completely off. I called them told them what happened they said 5 dollars they can fix it....oh he fixed it all right it looks like he glued a dam clipping of a toenail on my nail and told me he will fix it when I get my next fill which isn't for for another week...and he didn't charge me...the whole thing was I was gonna pay him to have it done right...im so disappointed in this place and will take my service else where, where the nail techs care for their customers and value their opinions... read more

Trash! Trash salon, trash service, TRASH. Was there for 2.5 hours and walked out $30 broker with crappy nails that I just want to RIP off! Was called to sit down, waited 20 mins, 2 people sat down after I did and were finished before me. finally the girl sits down to put the nails on, no buffing no removing old polish, no cuticle clipping nada. After that, I waited another 30 minutes only to be moved to another table to be worked on in an assembly line with 4 women all being worked on by 1 guy. When a girl got up to pay, she asked for a discount because she had been there for 3 hours, the guy who was working on me and the time started arguing with her while hes got a nail drill on my finger burning my cuticle so he can fight with her. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. completely skips that finger then moves down the line to work on the other 3 ladies. All 10 nails are uneven in length, the color is spotty, the acrylic doesn't cover my entire thumb nail. The owner(I'm assuming) was talking crap about his own employee instead of handling it properly. Such disorganization between boss and employee. There were no sanitation rules being followed. The ONLY reason I ever came to this SH**HOLE was because my elderly neighbor gets hers done here and asked me to go with her. They didnt let us sit together so we could talk, they didnt talk to anyone besides amongst themselves and in a different language. BY THE WAY HER NAIL TECH STAYED WITH HER THE ENTIRE TIME AND STILL TOOK 2.5 HOURS TO GET DONE. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

No stars. I called and made an appointment got a special day for my three year old. Her first recital for her dance class and she really wanted to get her nails done with me. She's tiny. I made an appointment 4 days in advance for 2 pedicures at 10 am and showed up on time only to be told to wait a few minutes. Ok, no problem. Then they say they only have one chair and one of us has to wait another 15 minutes. I told them we would like to sit together (hence the advance call for an appointment). I pointed out that I made an appointment in advance and the man had the audacity to say that everyone had an appointment, even tho that didn't seem to be the case as they told one of the "appointments" they didn't have time to do her fingernails also. It was not even the fact they clearly over booked, it was the lack of an apology for the situation. We went to happiness nail spa on hageman and were treated way nicer and with respect. read more

Let me start by saying, BELIEVE THE BAD COMMENTS!! My neighbor recommended this place as we live 2mins aways. I am not a person who is highly maintained by doing pedicure/manicures bi-weekly however this time I am traveling and needed it to be done. When I tell you I COULD HAVE DONE THIS FOR MYSELF INSTEAD OF PAYING $60 to have my finger nails and toes looking clumpy and bumpy, they clipped my skin on 6/10 fingers and same with toes. i'll start by stating as a gentleman i don't have my nails done as some here do that haven't been satisfied. based on the pics in the reviews it seems it's more creative disconnect than perfect nails. anyway... ...i get my feet done because i'm too fat to do it myself...not really fat, but it's an uncomfortable burden i don't care to take on myself. so, tammy does the perfect job i can't do for myself. top notch. although a little painful removing the ingrown big toenail, when she finished it was immediate satisfaction. we both smiled. lastly, i'm a return customer. hygiene is critical and the shop's attention to that detail is what keeps me coming back. read more
