Not happy. Technician was really nice, but very rushed. Filed my nails angled unevenly, which I only noticed at the end, when it was too late to fix. Also, put a third coat of polish on, because the color was uneven in the first two coats. I had chosen a sheer pink, which turned out opaque, due to the third coat. Not at all what I wanted. They do a great job (best pedicure ive ever gotten) AND compared to salons who charge 50 for a mani pedi this place charges 35 and blows them out of the water. This place is going downhill fast. Ever since they changed ownership, the place has fallen apart. Other than the few people who have worked here for years, the rest of the staff is unfriendly, and the manager/ owner is about as rude as they come. I type this as I am sitting waiting for a pedicure, my toes now cold prunes, as they have been soaking in the freezing cold water for 40 minutes. Rest assured they told me I'm next . I have given this place one too many tries since they changed owners, and needless to say I'm going to dry off my feet, leave and choose to never return. No matter how I'm feeling when I walk in I know that once I sit in that chair, it will be pure paradise. She scrubs, rubs, massages, washes, shaves, paints, designs....I feel like a new person when I'm done and can't wait until the next time. The shop is decorated nice and I've been going for years so most of the techs are nice enough. Hannah or Holly does my nails and they do an awesome job. I called on a Sunday afternoon asking if there was an opening for a pedicure. I was told that I could just walk in (this to me means they are not busy and can accommodate me in a timely manner - 10-15 min within walking in). When I arrived 15 minutes after calling the place was packed and there were four ladies already waiting. I asked how long the wait was and was told 15 minutes. After about 10-15 minutes I was asked to come back and sit in a pedi chair with my feet soaking in the tub. Great, I thought, the wait actually turned out to be as expected. After sitting with my feet soaking for 30 minutes and not being acknowledged once, I got up to leave. "All of a sudden" it was "oh, we'll be ready for you in a minute!" Too late. I started going here about 3 years ago. The service for gel nails and pedicures was great! The place was clean. The last few times not so much, nail drying station fan is caked with dust balls, and the fire department & paramedics were there, a lady was cut while getting a pedicure and it would not stop bleeding. I've been here three times and it really is hit or miss. On my most recent visit, I came as soon as they opened and they seemed inconvenienced by me. The tech rushed through my manicure and my nails had uneven sharp edges and the polish was uneven too. The previous time however I experienced a great, friendly tech that took her time with me and also did my eyebrows perfectly! She claims to be the owner and yet she was careless to accommodate a customer. I came in two hours before to wait for him and yet after my pedi she sat me with someone else. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because Yelp won't allow zero stars. I'm not sure I've ever dealt with more unprofessional people in any line of business. The man and woman manager that sit at the front desk have to be two of the rudest people I've ever met - and I'm in sales and travel extensively meeting all kinds of folks! I always make an appointment with my usual girl and when she's running late, 15 minutes or more, I ask them how much longer she will be and the attitude and slicing words that are said back to me is just appalling. "Why do you ask this question every time?" "She will be done when she is done and then she take you!" I mean really? They don't make eye contact with you or say hello or goodbye. I have had it - I received my last service, thanked my girl for being great for the last 8 years and I have never went back again. I am sure those two have lost no sleep from my departure, but I feel better knowing I'm not contributing to their $2mm per year revenue business. (I worked in the luxury salon business and know revenues for these types of multiple stationed, heavy traffic, asian ran businesses). read more

Totally bummed. I often get my nails done at the same salon, but wanted to try something new on the way home. The salon was beautiful and looked clean. I got my nails done Thursday. On Friday on my big toe I had a pain like a hang nail and the toe was turning red. By Monday it began pussing and by Tuesday I could not walk. I had to go to the emergency due to high level of pain. I was diagnosed with paronychia or nail infection. I received three shots in my toe and had my toe sliced. Also, I am now on medication. I know this can happen anywhere, but be aware what is going on in the salon. Ask to see the cleaning check list, feel hotness of water, be aware the length between pedicure bowl usage (ten minutes in hot water), and make sure a new pumice is used. I think this salon needs to slow the pace and be aware of cleaning standards. read more

Went there on a Friday at 5 for a no chip and pedi, was packed! Waited 15 min and got a pedicure from a great girl-think it was Amy? She was very personalble, quick and so sweet. Unlike other nail salons the staff is fully fluent in English and you can understand every word they are saying-at least the 2 I got. Andrew did my no chip and did a fab job, his hand massage was the best! Would recommend this place for sure. read more

I have been to Luxury several times for no chips and for pedicures. The last time, though in early June the technician damaged the skin around my cuticles. Granted this was temporary and fortunately there was not infection. Bottom line for me is to have NO cutting. The skin near all 10 cuticles was peeling and red for about two weeks. Using olive oil and a topical steroid helped the skin. read more

I have been coming here for several years but after a few times of disappointing work, I will never return. I had a no chip done and within a few days it started to chip. I understand this happens and I was not upset it happened. I explained my situation to the nail technician and told her I was going on vacation. They wanted to charge me $40 to redo them when I had just got them done. While I was talking to her she started to ignore me and turned away, as to get herself out of the situation. She brought the price down, however I do not find it reasonable that they want to charge me. I didn't want to go in there and be rude in order to get "my way". It's truly disappointing that even if you're polite you get ignored. Once I saw this same situation play out, at the same place, however the woman was very annoyed and had to fight them to get her nails redone. I do not feel entitled to act this way and could never treat others this way, in order to get "my way". I dealt with this situation very calmly but on the inside I'm so upset I received this treatment. I really hope you guys all read this and take it seriously because this can honestly happen to you. A few weeks ago I was sitting next to the client that was receiving this treatment and in this situation it was me, and maybe next time it may be you. Lastly, a place with poor customer service and no empathy should receive loyal and respectful clients. If you're African-American this is not the nail spa for you. This is my third visit . The first visit was good the second visit was not so good but it wasn't horrible but today's visit was awful. I was sent to a chair where the water was warm to cool no so I told the gentleman that was no so is it OK. After about 15 minutes of sitting in the chair a young lady came over to me middle-age and I asked if she could heat the water up a little bit make it warmer she told me she didn't think so. I said to her I want it warmer they are my feet she then took a bucket of water out turned the water on tell me it was cold and that was it she did not attempt to heat my water. We go onto the pedicure where she tell me take both my feet out,she put a little bit of the cuticle remover on my feet and begin to clip my cuticles. On the right foot, on the left foot she didn't even bother to push my cuticles back, she made clipping motions. I said that my right foot was still rough, she said you need to buy the callous remover. Then I asked her to put on my shoes she told me no, she would put my shoes on after she finished my manicure. I told her that I no longer wanted a manicure so I was ushered to the dryer. After about 5 minutes a different lady came over to spray th nail spray on my feet. I said to her they're not dry yet she said yes they are dry. At this tome she started putting on my shoes, an now she's mess up my polish, here comes a third lady who dabs the tip with my polish n told me to wait on the chair. She put a dab of polish on my feet with some cotton between my toe n walked away. At this point I'm done. My goose has been cooked. I left but I called back for a manager a man answered the phone and said you will never catch the manager here. I said you will never catch me there again either. Two minutes laterI receive a call from Tyler who said he was the manager n offered to redo my pedicure. I'm going to allow him to redo my feet but I won't go back here. Black people wake up don't pay for to be treated bad. I'm only going back because I paid for a pedicure, I want what I paid for. But this isn't the nail shop for us. I will not ever go to this place again. Due to the lack of cleanliness and the treatment of customers. This nail salon has no care for its customers. I have watched many people walk out due to them not even greeting people as they come in. They only greet if the male owner is there which is rare. They are very unorganized and if you make an appointment it is rarely respected. When choosing a no-chip color I have watched them literally remove the basket from people to give to another customer because they are taking too long. Everything is such a rush and all about the money. They have very few techs who do a good job (about 2 or 3) but it is not consistent and their customer service is far from the best. They are more focused on talking than doing your nails to the point where they have forgotten steps. All they want to do is socialize rather than focus on doing a good job with your nails, to the point where I have had trouble butting in to discuss how I would like my nails and toes. Complaining is frowned upon and they will treat you even worse if you even mention a nail being crooked or you do not want a certain color. If you watch closely sometimes (if they think you are not looking) they do not clean out the pedicure bowls and my feet were itching from that before. They just throw the blue dust in one after another because of being so busy. The front desk woman is very abrasive and not friendly to say the least, she has an attitude most times from being overworked I assume. When you tip and you do not have cash and want to tip on your card they get very upset. They do not want to report it to the IRS so they get very huffy. I have had to literally apologize to the point where they have flat out asked me if I had cash or not. Unbelievable! I have never had that happen before! The whole thing is too stressful for me and I go to the salon to relax and be treated as if they care - but they are all about the money and will rush to get to the next one. I used to go to them due to being close until I saw the treatment of their customers and how they laugh and talk about them. I have even had a nail tech talk to me about customers (it was very bad business). They do this because they are one of the nicer looking nail salons in the area and they take full advantage of that fact. So people come for the environment but not expecting the not so good treatment and not having any idea they can and will be talked about. I have literally watched the owner recently yell at someone because they needed a nail fix and it was past one week. One nail. It was quite concerning because I have never thought there would be any reason to get testy with a customer. The owner went from one to ten pretty quickly. Once again - have never seen that happen. I found a much better nail salon that treats their customers as if they care if they ever come back. This place will only get business due to looking nicer than a few others in the area. The owner needs a class or two on management and so does all of his employees on customer service. I will not ever be back. One of those things you have to see for yourself. Good luck. read more

Not sure if it was a bad night but I had made an appointment for a friend & I to get a pedicure @ 6:30pm for a Friday night thinking it would be a good idea. Made the appointment a week in advance. Even called to confirm it. No one told me that your appointment means NOTHING! Got there on time and tried to sit down while they accepted a group of 8 8year olds to get a mani/pedi and two older women went before my appointment. When I asked when we will be next he said it will be a few minutes. As I looked around there wasn't a chair empty in sight! The guy told me he wasn't sure when I would be able to get in and that everyone had 6:30 appointments. I could understand that they were busy, but I guess making appointments is not what they are about. I felt as if I wasn't priority b/c of the 8 8year olds that went before me & my appointment. They were royalty! I will NEVER go back to that salon! I had been there a couple of times & didn't think they are as respectful as the other reviews state. Even they were rude to my daughter when she went there for a fun girls slumber party, slammed her hand down at the table b/c she wasn't paying attention when they needed her other hand. I am sorry but this place is where customer service goes to die! I will NEVER go back or refer anyone I respect to this place! They may be cheap but that's about it! I was totally happy with the services I received the first time I went there. I had a fill in and a pedicure. Mary did a supurb job on the pedicure!!!! I actually splurged for the first time and got the "ultimate" choice and was HIGHLY happy. I also got a brow wax done and was very happy about that although it's really a little steep in price ($12). My nails needed a little bit more attention than just a fill. For those three services, I paid $112.00 plus tip of course. I wasn't too upset about the cost that time, but this last time, I just had a plain fill in. I currently have pink and white and have gotten several fills (not here). The most I ever paid for that service was $35. A just regular fill in at the top of the nail, I only paid $20. I was charged $35 for a plain fill in even though I had requested to have the white filled in too. She said we would fill it in the next time you come. I said alright but wasn't really thrilled about it. I figured since nothing "special" was done, I would only pay$20. When the other lady checked me out and said $35 I about fell out on the floor!!! I said are you serious???? I have never paid any where near that amount! I love the service, but not at almost double the cost! I would think that someone would want to build up there "loyal" customers, but I guess things like that don't matter at some salons. I went to the same woman for $15 because she was reasonable and never took advantage of me. When I moved to a different state for almost a year, I finally found someone FANTASTIC!!!, and I cried when I had to leave her! That is what I call taking care of your loyal customers. $20 for a fill in of just the upper nail, $35 for a complete pink and white fillin, and $40 for a full set. That I considered fair prices. She didn't charge to fix a nail or cut the nails down. I personally think that should go with any nail service and be included in the price. I feel that's when I leave a GOOD tip, but not when I feel like I was robbed blind! I went to another place before this one and they "nickel and dimed me" to $28 for a regular fillin, and I didn't go back. I will have to think about whether it is worth driving 30 minutes there (which for a good job I wouldn't mind doing), get overcharged, and then drive 30 minutes home. I am loyal and want to be treated as a loyal customer too. I think it all comes out in the wash so to speak. Treat people fairly and they will do the same. I came here because of the yelp reviews and because I couldn't get in to my normal salon. I didn't expect what I'm used to, but I at least expected my nail polish to not be see through. I selected a bright blue because I knew I was seeing my normal girl in a week so I did something I normally wouldn't. The sample was oh so rich in color. I got a long great with my girl, we talked about her home town which I had been to and we laughed and it was all great until I looked at my nails and saw right through to the nail. She had accidentally put the correct amount of polish on only one if my nails so I asked her to do the remaining the same way. She got angry and said that was a mistake, it shouldn't look like that, which was exactly the way the sample nails look. She continued to have an attitude and even got angry when I paid with a credit card instead if cash. She even asked me, "don't you have cash?'' She was rude, unprofessional and my nails, if I didn't correct her, would not have looked good at all! I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for, but I pay only $10 more normally and I have a great experience, have amazingly beautiful and well manicured nails, thick and lasting nail polish and I can pay how I choose without a guilt trip! read more

This was my first time here and I had a pedi and the next day a manicure. I have a crack on the side of my large toenail and requested acrylic to smooth over the crack (done this before at other nail salons). It was crowded/long wait and toward the end of the day on a Sunday. It appeared that the nail was covered with acrylic correctly, however later I noticed a huge line where the tech did not cover the entire toe. The crack would have looked better than the line from the acrylic where it was not smoothed over and it made the nail polish look terrible. I gave 3 stars because I had to go back to the salon the next day and it get it fixed. The same girl fixed it and she was very nice, but appeared to know exactly why I came back.. I was disappointed that I had to return but I thought I'd give them another try and I got a mani. I loved the way she shaped my nails and made my large hands look more feminine. So, I rated 3 because the mani was better than the pedi with acrylic on my toenail. Will I return? Yes. The staff is friendly, though I was not offered water or soda or offered the rewards card. I will try again on another tech and make sure I communicate exactly what I want. read more
