I went in today as a walk-in and someone started doing my nails. They got about halfway done when someone else walked in and the tech said, "I have an appointment, go sit in the chairs until she can take you. 10-15 minutes." Almost 25 minutes later, someone else finally called me back. Honestly, I would have walked out had my nails not been destroyed. That has never happened to me anywhere before, even mid walk-in. If they had said something before my appointment began, I would understand. I probably wouldn't have stayed and waited because I was on a time crunch, but I would obviously understand she had the appointment. But to be trapped in the salon with my nails like that not really having the option to leave? Nah, fam. When I expressed my frustration, I was argued with, so I dropped it pretty quickly and just sat there while they finished up. The new tech, Kailee, was nice and finished my nails. I don't know I just found it overall rude and tacky. Nails are a luxury and I generally expect the environment to be relaxing. This was not. I won't be back. They may be inexpensive but you get what you pay for in terms of comfort and experience. read more

I went in for a fill in and a no chip. Work was done by Tina and simply put, it was terrible. I like my nails simple--short and squared off, however at the end my nails look like a child did them. She left them Uneven, all different shapes and just very sloppy work. I have burrs on the the edges of my nails, the nail color and top coat isn't covering the entire nail and shrunk back in the curing process. Also, she didn't put a base coat on or clean up the sides and as a result polish was left in the ridges at the sides of my nails. Also--aesthetic of this place is a total dump--walls look tired and in need of a total overhaul. Hand wash sinks are dingy, dirty and old and pedicure chairs are ripped and falling apart. Not sure if other nail techs are better, but it doesn't matter bc I won't ever return. Buyer beware--Total waste of money. Edit: added pic ONE day after my "no chip". The place is filthy. The screen alone between you and the nail tech needs a good Windex. I was disgusted when I looked at the desk and ground at how much dust and months worth of build up there was. They do the bare minimum. Feel like I'm gonna need a mani/pedi much sooner because this definitely won't last long. read more

Yes, I was able to walk in without an appointment and that helped since my regular place was unavailable and it doesn't hurt to have a backup. The whole experience felt rushed and the attention to detail was lacking. Poor job on my feet with not much in the way of some dead skin removal on my heels or a callous. The hands weren't much better with missed detail's on the cuticles. The color application was average. All this was either because they were closing soon, the manicurist wasn't very good, or she thought because I was a man that I wouldn't care, notice, or deserve a better job. This place is a hidden gem. I was looking for a new place close to home and boy did I get lucky. I like having nail art designs and decals on my nails around the holidays and it's so hard to find places that are willing to do a variety of techniques in one visit and afforable. Tina is amazing and I can tell she enjoys doing nail designs with how detailed she is with every stroke of the brush. I brought in a picture and she made my nails look way better than the picture I brought in. Most of the nails in the "My Nails" pictured are Tina's nail art designs. I was a walk-in customer and requested an appointment on the spot. My wish was accommodated. I got a basic $28 pedicure and was very pleased with the results. The shop is nicely positioned with a north-facing view of St. Charles road. This is important because they have a large bank of windows and with a north position the sun is never a problem, even on the sunniest of days. Anyway, I especially liked that my technician (male) used a scrub on my feet and legs up to the calf. I was so relaxed. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Yeah! read more

I called on Thursday and spoke with the only man there to book an appointment with Tina for today Saturday 4/16 at 1:30 I get there and she said she's busy and my appointment wasn't written down. Are you kidding me? Then what's the point of calling for an appointment? So then another lady does my nails and the pictures attached are the results. Bubble on my nail. Poorly cleaned and polished cuticle area and not even a complete pain job on my nail and pain on my skin. These were supposed to be my birthday nails but I left so dissatisfied. I'm not sure why I even left a tip? I asked what I should do next time to ensure my appointment time and Tina just said to call....okk that's exactly what I did and look what happened. Why bother asking for an appointment. We asked for two for pedicures. They were 10 minutes late - which would have been fine but for one of us. So they wanted to do us one after another. Avoid this place at all costs! I should've left the second I sat down and realized the pedicure chair was broken and started looking around. The place is filthy and the tools are NOT clean. I went here on a Wednesday for a gel fill & pedicure. The girl used "no chip" polish over my gel & it looked great... Until Saturday. It started to chip on one nail & by Sunday FOUR nails were peeling. I went back to get a refund (just for the cost of the fill) and they refused. The girl (Kelly I think was her name) was VERY rude. Nowhere does it say they don't offer refunds and clearly I don't want them fixing them since I'm positive the same thing will happen. I told her if I needed to get acrylics I would so it could look better but she said she could do it on my natural nail like I wanted in the first place. I asked for white no chip with red stars on my ring fingers. She put one red star in the middle of my ring finger and didn't even connect the lines to the star. It's huge and messy. This is where I used to get my nails done. They kinda rush a little but the finish product is pretty awesome. I've gotten mani/pedi, acrylics, and gels. The massages included in the mani/pedi are longer than I've ever had. A big plus. The only downside, sometimes they shoot my crazy ideas down. WTF?! They also do waxing here. This is a pretty good place to get your nails done, depending on who does them. I usually get a pink and white, so I get the only one who knows how to do that. And she is really good. The prices are average. I paid $25 for a full set of acrylic, but when I get a pink and white fill, it is usually in the 40s. They do spray the tubs after each use, but do not pull the screens off and disinfect. I have never had a pedi there because of that. But watching them do a pedi, they really look like they do an awesome job. I've almost folded, but too scared. They would have gotten one more star, but sometimes they seem to be super rushed and pawn you off. I always want the same lady when I go. Today she gave me a cockamamie story to try and have the lady who makes your fingers bleed do my full set. I said I'd wait or come back, so she ended up taking me and her story fell through. I'd quit going, but she does a really nice job. So nice that I could almost get away without a fill for three weeks. The girl who waxes your eyebrows does a great job. The best place to go for nails around! I will tell ya why ! I had a friend doing my French mani, and I was paying here - she bumped every apt on me- making me miss a lot of time, having awful nails on spec occasions! NOW #1 nails- I have Tina who does my ink n whites , she listens to EVERYTHING I ask- and maes sure I am happy. She is careful and does beautiful work , sometimes adding a sweet little design on a nail or 2 AND the price is AFFORDABLE! I walked in one Friday evening at 7 pm asking when I could get appt , they took me IMMEDIATELY ( 1st visit) , and then when I saw Soann doing Pedi's she was more than happy to fit me right in that very night- and trust me it ain't a quickie, she treats ALL her customers with care & again, she listens to what you want, helps you choose color and massages your fee ankles and calves asif you were her best customer! And again, VERY AFFORDABLE! I have gone now 4-5 times and I always leave happy! I have never waited mroe than 5 min to get started on, of course I go in the evening- tehn again, how many shopsdo YOU know that would take u at 5 minutes notice AND stay open late to serve you. My first time going but definitely not my last. AMAZING pedicure! Love my manicure also but I'm telling you that I've never enjoyed a pedi so much. I got the mid priced one for $35 and she took so much time on my yucky heels and the massage was not a few minute quicky. This was an extreme extra that I normally cannot afford but decided to splurge on myself. The hour and half I was there for the pedi and no chip French manicure was well worth the $65 plus I gave her a $20 tip. I'll be back! read more

This is my go-to place for pedicures. I originally came here a few years ago because it's a short commute. I keep coming back because of the service. I've only gotten pedicures here. The staff is always kind. Their English isn't always clear, but I'm here to relax and not chat. The business is clean and well-ventilated. I wasn't concerned at all about coming here when I was pregnant. I brought my baby once and wasn't concerned about fumes. The pedicure itself is excellent. Warm to hot water, nice exfoliation, comfortable callus scrub, relaxing foot and leg massage, all in a massage chair. Many times they let me sit in the massage chair while my polish dries. Once I even fell asleep until they closed and they didn't disturb me. I watch the ladies use the towel steamer, sink, and autoclave, and they wear gloves. They spray and rinse the foot baths. I'm not concerned about cleanliness here at all and they've been in business A LONG time here, longer than most nail businesses stay in business in a particular location. In addition to the excellent pedicure, the polish stays intact for 6-8 weeks, which is not the case with the few other places I've tried, including the new LA Nails about a mile east. My polish chipped after a week when I tried LA Nails. I'm sticking with #1 Nails now. Can't beat their pedicures and only $25! read more

This place employs the most kindhearted and talented people I have ever met. Does this salon serve champagne? No. However, they bend over backwards for their customers. I have been going to them for 15 years. Even though I moved, I make the 40 minute commute just for them. One bad experience is not enough to tarnish a business' name. Reading the negative reviews here I am pretty surprised. Been going here for years and they are extremely CLEAN. At least 7 years experience here and never had a problem. Acryllics, Pedicures and more. They are excellent at customer service and even when busy they are up front to say it maybe a longer wait. As for Pedicures and Chairs all 6 chairs are brand new with massage and comfortable padding. They bleach out the foot spas after each treatment. I went here for the first time this past weekend. I was looking for a new nail salon and I live very close to the shop, so I wanted to try them out. I got a pedicure and a full set of nails with the gel. First off, they had a good selection of colors to choose from, I saw several that I liked, I almost couldnt make a decision. So that was good. The pedicure that I had was GREAT! It was pretty lengthy, longest I've ever had. I had the guy (dont know his name) but he was really good. He did a really cute daisy design on my big toe and then one on my pinky fingers to match. We'll see how these nails hold up that will be the true testimate to my review! read more

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. My mom would take me for a manicure every summer before school started and on my birthdays. I stopped going there for a few years after she stopped paying for them and i had no money. I started going again when i started getting acrylics. They are absolutely great. I have been to many places but i am sticking with this one from now on. They are very reasonably priced and do a phenomenal job.
