I go to Mirage for the quality and hospitality I'm shown there. I don't make appointments, but I've only ever waited 10 minutes as they are well staffed. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her business because she is always helping out the nail techs and walking around to see if anyone needs something. Complimentary drinks and snacks, warmed lotion, hot towels, and great ambiance make it feel like a luxury experience every time. I have had a different tech every time as I don't make appointments and they have consistently done great work. Pictured are my last two sets. I get a dip powder and sometimes add tips. So my friend and I came in on for appt, right when they opened. She got there a few min before me and got seated quickly. When I got there was a small group also just checking in. When I let the receptionist know I was getting a dip, she pointed to the color wheels and books. There were a couple other girls looking at the same time so I couldn't really look and see all the available colors. I was looking for a short while and the receptionist grabbed the one book from me and said to follow her. She sat me at the pedicure seat and gave me the book yet. She seemed VERY annoyed that I had the audacity to look at colors. And then while I was getting my pedicure, the lady doing my toes asked if I picked my color yet for me toes and I said no I hadn't had a chance. She let out a huff and pointed to the polish wall and she was visibly mad that I hadn't picked it out yet. Then while I was getting my nails done, I had a very small design being put on the nails. The girl almost got mad that I didn't automatically put my hand under the light. I feel like normally my tech usually nods or tells me to put my nails in. Well then I guess she screwed up the design.... I didn't know. She backed her chair up to get something out of the drawer and I thought that was a cue to put my hands under the light and then when she looked up up, she like, passive aggressively said "I wasn't done. Now I can't fix that.".... My friend that I was with also had a really aggressive pedicure and the lady also was so angry with her the whole time. She was being really rough with her as well. So between the receptionist/I think owner, my 2 techs, and my friend's tech, we came into contact with 4 different mean people there. I'm attaching the funny chat we texted each other when we're were sitting there, just because we both had the exact same experience. 2 stars because the dip and pedi lasted a long time. read more

Overall great nail place to go. Very clean and with an appointment you get in immediately, without it is pretty quick as well. They even have snacks/drinks. Only reason for 4 stars is the price. They are pretty pricey and will definitely try to upsell you. 2/4 times I have been there I have been overcharged and had to tell them to correct my total. The total has always seemed messed up for me. I don't know if this is intentional or not. It has happened to other people I have gone with before too. I got charged 80 for an acrylic fill in. honestly I used to like this place but it is not okay to charge your clients for things without notifying before doing it ! Online it's 30 dollars for a fill in for acrylics. And I knew that because I added chrome it would Be another 10 dollars up charge, I had no problem with how they looked but just how inconsiderate they were with charging me, I got told after the fact they were done and I handed her a tip it was 80 dollars. I was confused at that then employee pulled out the paper menu which had different prices and told me that I got no chip fill which is 48 in for my nails and I never wanted that or was told she put that on, also charging another 5 dollars for the shape which was almond. I was never consulted about that and she said that it's not recommended for them to put regular polish. I already left the nail tech a tip and everything spending 90 on a fill in. None of this was right to do and this business didn't do anything about the situation.The way I was charged was crazy. read more

The owner is rude. I was a frequent customer, until the work started to get sloppy. Purchased a dipped mani and my fresh nails cracked on two different occasions. Unfortunately, I was going out of town and needed my nails fixed due-to their poor workmanship. This salon has poor customer service and they are slow. The owner was unprofessional and told me not to ever return after a nail cracked (not my fault). The lady at the front desk did not care to fix the matter either, so I asked for a refund. The owner said this shop does not provide refunds to customers. There was no sign posted to properly communicate this policy. Please save yourself a trip and avoid this salon. There are better nail salons. Nails do not last here and they overcharge for basic services. Watch how you treat customers because they keep your doors open! read more

I've been here twice now and both times I got a dip manicure. The second time I went I was charged $10 more dollars then the first time. I was told it was because they removed my cuticles (with the mail drill not clipping) and filed my nails before putting dip on them. I thought it was weird because I got the same thing two weeks before but now was being charged more for the same service. Also those are things I thought would be included with a dip manicure. I'm general I was happy with the manicure and atmosphere of the nail salon but don't want to go back because I have no idea what I'll be charged for. read more

This is my favorite salon to get my manicures and pedicures done at. The staff was extremely friendly and do a great job listening to what I want done on my nails. The manager is so nice and loves interacting with the customers.The owner even greets me by my name which is a huge plus in my eyes. I love the design of the place and how clean everything is. Everything there is reasonably price and they offer a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks. All the nail technicians are efficient and amazing at getting anything from a basic manicure to a full set with crazy designs done. Very clean and lovely! I was able to get in as a walk-in and they made me feel like a million bucks.

I came in for the first time and had a great experience with my nails. Ben did a great job with my no-chip manicure and Ella did a great job with my pedicure as well. What was bothersome was the very unfriendly customer service from some of the employees, specifically the woman who helped me check-out at the front. She gave me the total for my nails (which was up-charged from what was online) and I tried to ask her a few times how I could split my tip since I had two people paint my nails. I couldn't hear what she was saying and seemed confused, and she responded in a raised tone with attitude. This was also the attitude when me and my friends first walked in to Mirage when we checked-in. It's very hit or miss here- many nice employees but also others who aren't. read more

For years I used to frequent a salon in Oak Brook. After many disappointing visits, I was happy to try this new place: Mirage! I've had multiple visits thus far and I'm just "tickled pink" as they say. The owner ( I think?) is swift to get you in a chair and services started. Each and every technician I have had, has been more than satisfactory in their skills and I've never had a manicure or pedicure I didn't like. They offer complimentary beverage, or snack, which is such a nice touch! Someone is always a cleaning, which is great to see. The location for me, cannot be beat, either. Just minutes from my house. I have been here twice now, the first time for a signature pedicure and this time for the same pedicure plus a no chip mani. I'm in love. May did an amazing job on both pedis, and Anna did my no chip today. She did an incredible job making my crappy nails, beat up from heavy yard work, look nice. Plus, it's clean and the atmosphere is bright and comfortable. I love that it's a big space; lots of stations with decent space in between, and a high ceiling that makes it feel we're not all sitting on top of each other. And, all staff wears a mask. I moved from to the area and since have been in search of a decent nail salon. I judge a salon based on their pedicure service. My search is over. Last minute appointment was accepted. There was zero wait time. They had SO MANY nail colors to choose from. My nail artist helped me choose my colors, offered me hot tea, and took her time. Service was good, salon is spacious and beautiful. Every detail has been though out to delight customers- down to the cuticle oils left and offered at the nail dryers while waiting to dry. The owner Jenny was very kind. I was even offered a small christmas gift to take home! I learned they do parties and will be planning a Bridal Shower here in the spring.
