Receptionist are not customer friendly. They don't know how to relate to patients. The times I've spoken to the receptionist /scheduler gave a vibe of they're doing me a favor by being their patient. They're the first I've ever heard of where referrals from primary dr. expired even after you've become a regular patient already. Person that called to reschedule my appointment today said they didn't have an appt. for my husband, only for me. I tried to explain that on our last visit, Dr Fancher asked receptionist to book my husband and I together. Which turns out that wasn't done. Receptionist kept interrupting while I was explaining that husband recently renewed his referral. She said they haven't received it. I finally told her to listen, finally she acknowledges that they did receive the referral but that it was wrong because referral is for Dr Fancher instead of the Hawai'i Dermatology Center. But no one notifies the primary or the patient. ‍My husband would have come to the appointment and there wouldn't have been anything scheduled. BTW. Whoever that scheduler was needs to tone down her ego and maybe listen to patients before assuming‍So unfortunately as much we love Dr Fancher, this is too much aggravation just to see doctor.

Showed up for my appointment & Dr.Aaron Fong checked my sun spots & advised me to remove up to 15 spots would cost $200. I payed in full , after this 15 min. procedure. He performed the procedure. Facial spots are lighter, but are not fully gone. Leg spots were totally gone after 2 weeks. About 3 weeks later I get an invoice saying I owe $50. Dr. Fong did not explain a charge Of $209.42 would be for the office visit only. Maria in billing advised Medicare would cover $ 134.19. Patient portion ( me ) $ 50. & $25.23 show payed( very strange) Total treatment & office visit $413.61. I did not agree to this amount & voiced my disappointment to Maria. She agreed to dismiss the extra $50.00. Thank you! I will not go back to Dawson Dermatology,even for a needed remake& hope patients get treated fairly & staff must be upfront on their billing practices! I will notify Hawaii Pacific Health & Devoted Health about my experiences.

So I was sure to clarify 20 additional units at $5 a unit. Total around $100(yes I did clarify $100). To which the injector said yes. When I walked to the front to pay I was told 3x that price, over $300. Obviously I was shocked and objected, but I was met with a condescending tone. I was told that there must have been a misunderstanding on my part and that I was told Botox units. Even though I was Sure I clarified the dose and pricing prior to injection. The women continued to repeat herself over and over in a rude manner stating there was nothing she could do and that technically I was given $5 a unit but for 60 units not 20. So beware they dose in Botox units no matter which product they provide to you and even if you clarify the price and dosing they will change it on you before you check out. This is deception marketing. This strategy is to confuse you and require you to do the math at bedside to figure out your actual cost. Huge disappointment. Extremely embarrassing situation that they exploited. This is suppose to be a treat.
