Brows are my thing -- the beauty maintenance I take the most seriously outside of maybe my hair-- and I had an incredible brow specialist in LA that I trusted deeply. I kept hearing little bits of BIG praise through friends-of-friends about Brows by Ash, and eventually booked an appointment. Fast forward a few years later, and Ash has become my go-to for monthly brows and lip waxes. She is beyond professional and, in my opinion, the best brow specialist on Oʻahu -- hard stop. What I appreciate most is that she truly listens. She cares about the look you're trying to achieve, supports your brow goals, and will always give her honest professional opinion when needed, which I value so much. Her work is consistently precise, natural, and tailored to your face. Beyond that, she's just a joy to be around -- personable, funny, kind, humble, and clearly someone who takes immense pride in her craft. Her studio is spotless, beautifully designed, and always has great music playing in the background, which somehow makes the entire appointment feel calming and elevated. And as an added bonus, her adorable pups usually greet you at the door, which honestly just makes the whole experience even better. I literally don't let anyone else touch my brows except for her since she's the best I've experienced on the island. She offers eyebrow shaping/ waxing, brow tinting, brow lamination and lash lifts and tint. Ashley is extremely thorough, super friendly and easy to talk to and plays great music! Everything is pain-free and you know she knows what she's doing. Her prices are great for how much work she puts into tweezing and waxing every little hair. The space is conveniently located on the second floor of the PanAm building so there's plenty of parking and it is really easy to find (follow signs for PanAm building annex) and is really cute and super clean! Ashley is really meticulous and wipes and sanitizes everything before each client. Keep in mind she is usually booked for weeks so book in advance on her website. She posts frequently on Instagram whenever she has a rare opening so make sure you follow her too! It's honestly such a relaxing experience I look forward to it every time!

I am not the most sociable person, but talking to her is like talking to my best friend. She is really one of the few who takes a deep interest in your life and will remember the things you've mentioned in the conversation from the last session. She goes the extra mile to make sure you're doing okay even outside of work. She needs to get a job in counseling/therapy because, girl, you're so good at giving advice to someone who needs a lending ear! I don't know what it is about Kalei, but we need to protect her at all cost. Not only is she GREAT at the work she does on my eyebrows, she is the most humblest, open-minded person I've ever came across in my entire life.. a really rare piece of jewel! Yup I started getting ingrowns the size of boils when I started with Renee. I also started noticing hair from previous appts still on the bed which is gross. Currently my coarse hair is gone and I just have the light hair to deal with. Dont get me wrong Renee is a very nice person but if I'm gonna spend that kine of $ I want results. I didn't know this obviously at the time. Well years later it's still causing me problems and even though I have gone to get it laser removed and I still have a yellow color all around my eyebrows. It's disrespect. For all the women that had this done to them, for the artist herself to not care about her work or her clients faces, literally, and the Connie Gayle center for not knowing what's going on with the people they are having work out of their space and represent their name. Please be careful and think again before you go there for an eyebrow tattoo or to anyone, anywhere. I don't want this happening to other people.

Turns out, I've known Emily for years, but didn't know she did waxing and facials and all kinds of pampering thing for your face! I went to visit her at her prior salon at Windward Mall a few times, and was always very happy with the results. I'd since moved out of Kaneohe and barely visited the mall. In the meantime, she moved her studio to a new location, while still in Kaneohe, it was to a building I was very familiar with. I found out last week I would be in Kaneohe so I sent her a quick message to see if she had openings... she said she would be happy to squeeze me in at 9:30. YES! The studio is located across the street from the Kaneohe Fire Station, with the entrance facing the side of the station. There is an open lot with free parking and a few handicap stalls, with more parking available under the other building. I'd never been in the building with the studio. It is a cute hair salon with a loft, Emily's studio is located upstairs in the loft in a room next to the nail salon area. It was a quick 30 minute appointment but Emily did not skimp on the precision and pampering... I LOVE my brows! I hope to return soon to get a facial done!

Her room is very spacious and pretty. I'm lazy so I wore a camisole and just took down the straps, but she has a cute dressing room to change into a spa wrap. She had me lay on her bed which was super comfy and then began the magic. Emily has amazing hands - I love her firm, strong touch. I won't get into all the details, go and experience for yourself! I will definitely be back for a facial again!
