They had plexi glass up for the manicure tables. It has been almost a year since I got my nails done. I got a pedicure only and my gf got a manipedi. I was satisfied with my service. I love this location, most of the staff is friendly, I think only 1 person is kinda not friendly..you would know who I am talking about if you go all the time. She is kinda fake friendly but you can tell by the way she talks to you - like the fake smile but secretly wants to kill you for talking to her type. I've only been there since it was redone and my nails have always been done amazingly well! 30$ for a no chip is slightly below average for the area and they always will take me as a walk in! I'm an elementary school teacher, so my hands and nails are in constant use, but a no chip from here still lasts me up to 3 weeks! I just had the most wonderful experience at Nail Pub over the weekend. I went in for a manicure/pedicure with my 8 week old baby in tow who *usually* eats and sleeps. Lucky for me he chose to be fussy almost the entire time. The team there took such great care of me. They were patient, understanding and jumped in to help (even get him to sleep!) so I could be hands free for my manicure. I was ready to leave and spare everyone the sounds of my fussy baby but they chose to care for this tired mom. I will definitely be back but without my baby next time! I went here a month or so ago and loved it! My friend has just gotten engaged so we wanted to get our nails done. The entire staff was so nice! Especially the man working the desk. He was very helpful in giving us lots of color choices. We both go no chip manicures (it was my first one ever) and I loved it! My friend had had a few done before other places and she liked hers too. When we were done we got to use a coupon for checking in there and for it being our first visit. (I think it was 15% off maybe) and then they also give you a decently sized free lotion when you leave! I think it was about $33 to get my nails done not including tip. Called the day to schedule a mani for myself and a pedi for my sister. Once we got there, my sister changed her mind that she wanted a mani as well. They accommodated her no problem. She had a great experience with both services. The manicurists recommended a great color and was very nice. Only 4 stars because my manicurist cut my nails on my left hand crooked. My fault for not paying attention during my manicure, but she seemed rushed and had no one after me. She was rushing so she could do her own nails, which she did at the table with me while I was drying... I absolutely love Nail Pub. I get a pedicure here every month, even though I have moved from Elmhurst. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. In addition, the staff takes cleanliness very seriously-which I truly appreciate. I love coming to Nail Pub because they include all of the "extras" as part of their base package. For example, a regular pedicure includes a mask, scrub, massage, and lotion application for your legs and feet. Also, they put paraffin around your heels to soften them. At other salons you pay extra for all of these things, which makes Nail Pub an excellent deal. I would recommend and do recommend Nail Pub to everyone I know. read more

The new owners of Nail Pub have completely revamped the interior of the previously well worn salon AND more importantly have upped the quality of service considerably. Julia and her husband are extremely sweet people and my no-chip manicures and pedicures always come out perfectly. I hadn't had a pedicure in an abysmally long time. It was 7p.m. on a Thursday and I found myself in Elmhurst with a little time on my hands, or should I say feet. Being the polite young lady that I am, I called ahead to see if they could accommodate me because it was getting close to their closing time. They told me to come on over and I arrived roughly an hour before the 8 pm closing time. Well I shouldn't have. They turned the music off, cleaned around me and told other potential patrons to come back another day, it was too late. The pedicure was rushed to say the least and I was aggravated, wishing that they had told me on the phone that it was "too late". Then the topper, she almost didn't accept my check in coupon. I never use those things but I was so agitated with the experience I was damned if I was going to pay full price. She really wasn't going to take the thing, boy I was pissed. I'm saddened I even have to give this place one star. When I walked into this swanky looking place I expected more. Stood there for about 5 minutes being ignored and when I was finally acknowledged it was by an older asian women who asked me "What do you want? I then proceeded to tell her I just needed an overlay at which point she looked at me like I was an alien and she was insulted. This is how the rest of the conversation went... Tech: "We don't do overlay's!" Me: Ok, what do you do? Tech: Manicures and pedicures. Me: Do you take walk-ins? Tech: Yes Me: Ok I'll take both. Tech: Oh no, it's too late for both. Me: Ok I'll just take a manicure. Tech: Come back in one hour. Me: Forget it, but thank you. At which point she rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing without another word to me and immediately began talking to the other girls in their language while laughing. It's no wonder this place only had two clients in it and the girl who had been sitting waiting there since I walked in got up and walked out saying how ridiculous it was too wait over 45min for a manicure. Came in once to get my nails done for an interview I had. I got the no-chip polish done by a lady named Amy and she was amazing. The polish lasted over a week until I got finicky and peeled them off. They may have lasted even longer had I not peeled them off (I can't resist that kind of stuff). Very fast and friendly. Great manicure pedicure but they are changing from an urban hip design & feel to a twee over the top flowery interior design. I'm not a fan of the changes. Please stop putting out placemats that clash with the counter tops and the nail color you're painting on my nails. It too much of a distraction. My daughter and I just had the WORSE experience at this place. My teenager went in for eyebrow waxing and came home with uneven brows. I went back with her to request our money back and a 3 ring circus act began. An older Asian woman had done the waxing service. When I explained our concern and request for a refund this woman processed to speak in her native tongue convincing another employee, a male Asian w/red streaked hair, that the brows were uneven to begin with. She then angrily tried pulling my daughter's arm to take her to the back room to "fix it". Not appreciating my daughter being yanked and unwilling to allow this angry woman to touch my teenager again, I immediately stopped her saying I would prefer to have it fixed somewhere else and that I simply wanted a refund. She angrily refused stating "If I give money, who pay me?" The male employee argued on the woman's behalf to give her a chance to fix the mistake then turned around and argued with the older woman to at least return $10 of the $15 that was paid. Again the older woman refused to refund us at any amount. She then processed to encourage the one customer and nail technician they had, who were getting/giving a pedicure, to get out of the pedicure chair and exam my daughter's brows. When neither of them moved she again tried to demand my daughter walk over to the customer & technician to prove her case. I could hardly understand her argument as her English was not good but the whole thing was simply ridiculous. Then to make matters worse "Mr. Red Streak" starting telling this older woman "this customer don't like you, just give her money back." I responded by advising it wasn't personal that I don't know the woman, I simply didn't like the service. "Mr. Red Streak" countered with "every salon I work in, some customer decide they don't like a technician just to get out of paying". Again he repeated to the woman "she don't like you, she don't like me, some customers are just like that". It was nuts! The woman angrily and reluctantly returned $10 of the $15 paid. I walked out advising, "this is NOT how to run a business". I believe in supporting small businesses in my home town but I will never step foot in that place again.
