ehh. Nothing fancy. They do nails. Its an over priced place that does an average job. Ive had better.

Really not impressed. Very overpriced for no reason. Atmosphere is not great, they don't offer you a bottle of water like you see at other more expensive nail places. The lady who seems to run the place wasn't very friendly. I found her to be very curt with us. "You pay now." Before the manicure was even close to done. I was there with my daughter and not getting anything done myself. So it's not like they were trying to prevent me from ruining my nails. That wasn't an issue. Also they don't do acrylics which I found odd for a nail place. Maybe it isn't unusual but I just haven't ever seen that before. Anyway my daughters nails look fine but $40 for no chip with no frills and not even friendly service just seemed ridiculous to me we won't be back. read more

For a Friday they were able to accommodate my mother and I. Alice did a nice job on my toes and gel nails. I have no complaints. Natalie did my mother's toes which were nice. I would recommend these two for any service you need. read more

In a quaint little town, this nail shop delivers. I got a leg massage with some sort of cream that has a cooling effect, which felt nice. With a very nice selection of nail polish colors, I had my pedicure done in a nice sink. They dyed the water light blue with some rocks on the bottom, which made me feel like I was on a beach. On top of that, they did a great job with my nails. Love the place and would definitely come back again. read more

I've been going to Nail Pub for awhile and I can't say enough good things about them. They always do such a wonderful job! They are so nice and always very accommodating. I see Kenny whenever I get my nails done and he's so great! The other day I was in and dropped a bottle of nail polish and it shattered and went everywhere! All over the floor, the wall, my pants and my shoes. They were so sweet to clean my shoes and help get the polish off of my pants before worrying about their stuff. I still feel so awful about it, but they were so sweet about the whole thing! Again, Nail Pub is the best!! read more

I walked in and was able to get a pedicure right away. The soaker sink for your feet is right up my alley. I don't like the jet ribs because I think they hold bacteria. The soaker sink has stones in then to rub your feet on for a massage. The nail tech was so precise and gentle. I felt so relaxed and was able to enjoy a pedicure instead of my normal vice grip on the seat from the nail filing and callus removal. The pedicure even includes a paraffin heel soak which I desperately needed after a winter of neglect. I'm ready for the Chicago sunshine in my sandals now. This nail salon was nothing I expected based on location and look. I got a pedicure and my nails were not even filed. My manicure was very fast and they have no dryers or fans so my nails were alsmost ruined the minute I got home. They didnt offter a shoulder massage which i think is pretty standard at most nail salons and something i look forward too. Definately not worth the $40 that i paid for a mani/pedi. Bringing my business elsewhere next time. read more

FYI-This is my FIRST Yelp post and I feel really guilty writing all of this, but I am just hoping to SAVE SOMEONE from the terrible experience I endured... I am new to the Elmhurst area and wanted to get fake nail "tips" done, as I have done many times over the past 9 years. Being new to Elmhurst, I found this salon and Yelp and thought I would give it a try since I also happened to have seen it before when exploring the town. HUGE MISTAKE!! I arrived at the salon at 10:30am and communicated with the nail technician that I needed to leave by 1pm that afternoon. Unfortunately for me, the salon seemed understaffed, but the technician rushed me to a chair and told me it would not be a problem. She then had my nails "soak," which seemed like a stalling tactic as I did not have any nail polish on at the time and never had been made to soak before. After my nails soaked for a good 10 minutes, she then got to work on putting on my tips. The only problem was, she didn't have the right tip size for my pinky fingers. She then spent a good 20 minutes trying to whittle down the tip size and stick mismatched size tips onto my fingers. This happened so frequently that several of the nail tips kept falling off, again, something that has never happened to me. After putting on the wrong size tips, she then cut out tiny papers to put on top of the nail. In my 9 YEARS of getting tips done, I have NEVER seen this tactic of "paper wrapping" done before. The paper did not match the size of my nail so she was hacking away with tiny scissors trying to get the product to stick. The technician kept telling me this was a better way of doing "tips" and would be longer lasting; however, the process was very tedious and slow. (Keep in mind, I had a "hard stop" on the time I needed to leave.) Following the paper wrapping issue, the technician then knicked several of my fingers and made them bleed with the sanding gun. She also took forever trying to sand down the nails, as they weren't the wrong size, and it looked awful. She then asked me what color polish I wanted for my nail, and I told her I wanted a French Manicure, (which I had mentioned several times before.) Unfortunately, she explained she made a mistake and that she could try and do a French Manicure, but it would be better to do 1 color. In her credit, she did try to do a French Manicure, but it looked sloppy and terrible. I knew I would have to get it redone and the entire process took 4 HOURS, which only came to a stop after I told the woman I absolutely had to go. I missed my event and when I asked the staff for help in getting my nails done sooner, they just shrugged and looked bored waiting for the time to pass. Then, at the end of it all, they wanted to charge me $110 for their service!! Not to mention, another woman in the salon with me, also had poor service when she booked an apt. with her four friends and was there for 2 hours without getting a manicure done during that time. In the end, I found out from getting my nails redone that the "paper wrapping" technique is actually an outdated practice as they do not last nearly as long. Moreover, 2 of my tips BROKE the NEXT DAY. BEWARE of this salon, it is the worst nail service I have ever received. read more

Worst place I've ever went to. Took about an hour just to get acrylic nails. They also made my cuticles bleed and to wait an hour for my simple nails to be done they all broke off in less than a week. Never going again read more

I must say that I was not impressed at all. The polish job on my pedicure was good, but that is the only compliment I have. No leg/ foot massage - just lotion application. All the dry/ rough skin on my feet seemed exactly the same when I got home. I know its winter and its a little more work, but that is what I'm paying for. And I'm not so sure all the tools she used were that clean...which is the main reason I won't be going back. read more

I just moved to elmhurst and have been here two times and to another nail salon in town two times as well. This place is a little more expensive (17 vs 15 for a manicure), but they definitely do a nice job, are more thorough, and my nail polish lasted a lot longer than the other place I went to in town. I will continue to go back. 4 stars rather than 5 is because I think 17 is a little high for manicure for the area. read more

I have gotten my nails done fairly regularly for yrs. When I moved to Elmhurst two yrs ago, I tried a handful of places, but thought they were pretty average. The technicians weren't particularly good; they spent a ton of time talking to each other and were pretty rough. This place, which I have now been to about 5 or 6 times, stands out. It is extremely quiet, which I love, since 75% of the reason I am there is to relax. The technicians are extremely gentle, their products are excellent, and they don't rush you out when they are done. It's also a beautiful place, making it that much easier to relax. My experience this far makes it easy to give this place 5 stars! read more

Not impressed at all. Very over priced. Got a mani and pedi and it was below average in quality. If one of your favorite parts of a pedicure is the massage...don't go here because you don't get one at all. It is not relaxing and definitely not worth the money. I probably will not return. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. First off, I make an appointment a week in advance and when I get there, they tell me that they took a walk-in and that I will have to wait 30 minutes for her. At that point, I tell them that when I called I made sure to be the first person when they opened so I would not have a problem. Second, when she finally takes me 25 minutes later, I explain that I have another appointment and need to be out of here no later than 45 minutes and that when I spoke to the women on the phone she stated that it would be 30-45 minutes for a brazillian. Once I get in the room, the lady starts asking me odd questions as she begins to get me situated. I have had a brazillian done before (not at this place), but thought maybe this was there procedure. All of a sudden she is taking small waxing sections. I ask her, do you normally do this? Have you ever done a brazillian before or wax? She says yes. Then she all of a sudden takes out a pair of scissors YES scissors and goes to use them. I said absolutely not, do you know what you are doing????? Needless to say, she had gotten wax everywhere and everything was sticking together. I said that is it, something is not right here! I asked for a towel and to speak with the owner. When she walked out and I looked at my phone, I was in there 2 AND A HALF HOURS!!!!! (just in that room - no clocks in wax room). Then a women who I don't know if she was the owner comes in the room with the towel and starts rubbing me down harshly with the towel and speaking in another language. I get up and tell her to stop and that I am absolutely not paying for this service that clearly was not down properly and not completed!!!! Needless to say, I was leaving for my honeymoon in 2 days and had to go with patches and I mean patches and not have it fixed because having it waxed again would just cause to much harm to my skin after going to another place to have it fixed. First off, they should be ashamed of themselves to conduct business in such a manor!!! Secondly, I will be following up to make sure people are properly licensed to be conducting such services! And I would not even put 1 star, but it required me to put something to post this. read more
