My service was sub par, but the nail tech who did my nails had a really thick accent, she was a very good listener and patient with me when I didn't understand her. My only issue with the place is that most (if not all) of their products seem old; they only had OPI polish for regular manicures, and all of the jars seemed crusty. It took the woman several tries to open the bottle I chose, first with her hands and then with a clamp (and THEN after pouring acetone all over the handle). I feel like this place could be a lot better since my manicure was good, but maybe it's just the lack of business that explains the old products. Update: it hasn't even been a full day and my nails messed up; probably because of the old polish. read more

They were nice, but they took so long, and they didn't even cover the whole nail, on of the nails cracked and she didn't fix it, it cracked my natraul nail, and now i have damage on my nail bed, they also filed down my natural nail so much. Came in here for a pedicure because I didn't have time to make an appointment at my usual spot. First of all it needs to be better ventilated, it reeks of acetone and other nail products. My technician rushed through my service, she cut my toe while using the cuticle tool and didn't apologize for it either. The lady working next to us didn't change the towel they put over the foot rest nor did she wash out the tub between clients. G.R.O.S.S. Just like every salon I have ever been too, you have to find your right girl and get her name! I should take my own advice because I didn't ask for the lady's name but she did a great job. She didn't rush me at all and took her time cleaning my cuticles because I have rather difficult and thick cuticles. It's a smaller mom and pop shop and I really always try to support the smaller businesses. I like to get in and get out because I always have SOMETHING to do which I'm sure everyone can relate to. AVOID at all costs! I would give no stars if possible. I picked a color one shade darker than my toenails and the nail technician changed it. After one coat, I said I did not like it. Then, another woman there started to berate me along with the technician doing my nails. They were intent on telling me I wrong with NO focus on satisfying me as the customer. They refused to change the color and in addition did the sloppiest gel manicure I have ever had, the day before a vacation. Then, had the nerve to charge me. With so much competition these days, I will NEVER chose this nail salon again. Besides the rude staff, the place is outdated and grungy. Worst customer service ever!! read more

Went for a walk in manicure. They took me right away. I find it extremely rude they talk in their native tongue the whole time. Makes you feel like they are talking about you. But the worst part is they do not clean the files, buffer, instruments they use. You can see the remnants of previous clients on the tools. Gross as hell. Soaked my nails in alcohol when I got home. Hope I don't get a fungus or infection. Isn't it the law to clean the instruments between clients? read more

This is probably the worst nail salon I have ever been too. The people that work there are rude. I understand that salons get busy, news flash, all places do. Every single technician (if they even know how to do nails) was on the phone. I understand I didn't make an appointment, but usually most places accommodate walk-ins. Not this place. My mom and I walked in to basically just put color on our nails. My mom doesn't normally go and do her nails we basically do them at home, but because it was my brother's wedding we did. We walked in and literally before I could close the door, the technician Leelu or leeloo, barked at my mom and me to pick out a color. Less than a minute later she asked us to pick out a color. We didn't even have time to really look, I got so frustrated that I grabbed to colors. My mom and I are minorities, and I"m not trying to throw in the race card, but, this chic thought we were both total idiots. She talked to my mom like she didn't speak English. My mom knows English. They were just so clearly rude to us, but to the other non-minorities she was so nice. My other pet peeve is talking in another language when people are there. Now, they could have been just having casual conversation, but from my perspective it sounded like they were all making comments. Once I asked for the manger, all the technicians seemed a lot nicer. I went here several times and I always got rushed through and yes they are always on their phones. The worst was when I left my Essie nail polish there and went back later and no one knew what I was talking about. I was so mad I left and swore I never would go back. I've been going to Passions for years, because it is close to my house and because they do a good job and do it quickly. Of late, the techs have become very rude. When you walk in, they appear annoyed instead of welcoming. They also speak in Vietnamese, and it is extremely rude in that it is clear that they are talking about the customers. When the techs do not have a customer, they lounge around with their bare feet all around the furniture and talk loudly on the phone or watch movies on their smart phones or tablets. More important, as another reviewer has said, it appears that they do nothing to clean their instruments between customers. In sum, it is very unprofessional, and I've decided not to return even though going somewhere else will not be as convenient. Very, very disappointing. read more
