Horrible the worst nail salon I've ever been to beyond unprofessional let me say when I first came in the girl had the worst attitude from the beginning about me wanting straight tips instead of curved I never get curved tips she complained the whole time but I was in a rush to work so dealt with it then she did my entire set lumpy the base wrong you could see bubbles under I came in for a basic French set she started getting loud told the other girl to do it she didn't gave time then grabbed my jacket saying come on we exchanged words the manager then did my nails tried to fix them they look horrible already turning colors lumpy only been 24 hours then my total Was stated 60 when the owner finished charged me $65 such horrible service I would never go back nor would I recommend go spend your money somewhere better read more

Brought my brand new, OPI polish to the salon...after 6 attempts of painting my toes with a professional look, I was told that they have no dryers. The owner guy said that they only like to use gel (most likely for the up charge). He then proceeded to tell me that since they have to dry on their own, and if I messed them up, he wouldn't keep fixing them. I explained to him that if he had a professional who could paint nails, they would've been done on the first try. Okay I was dreading making this review because I always come to this location. Sadly my last two experiences have been pretty bad. I came in two weeks ago to get my nails done for my graduation. I want to say I am very disturbed with the quality service I got from this place upon my first time ! It was definitely my first and last. I went and got my nails done 7/18 and overall the place is beautiful and I expected nothing but the best experience and that's not what I got. As I'm in there , I'm getting my feet done by one of the nail techs who had her daughter with her who wasn't being cooperative for her to do her work. She was a 4 yr old child which I understand but this is a place of business and I was not in there to be being bothered by a child while I'm being pampered for my special event! Manicure for $14; plenty of colors to choose from; place is clean; there is a large screen TV tuned into a gossip channel. The take appointments or walk-ins. Each station is for a particular employee, and they display their license and family photos. Very nice. They didn't point out the nail drying station and so I stayed at the station with the little fan to dry off my nails (this was late and there were no other customers), but I wish they would have told me - they shouldn't assume everyone is a local customer. read more

Very close to my neighborhood and that of my good gal pal, which makes this one of our popular choices for pedis. They have a small space to work with, so the draw-back is that there are only 5 or 6 chairs for pedicures and there's also a very small drying station. If we're going right after work, peak hours, we sometimes wind up waiting in order to get two chairs that are side-by-side. They do have an excellent choice of OPI and Essie colors and the times we've gone, we've been pleased with the staff. The last one we had done here, we wound up with what must have been a 10-minute long massage; our aestheticians got engaged in a convo with one another and just kept on. I got a pedicure here and must say it was the most lackluster pedicure I've ever had. The place wasn't busy, so I can't blame it on that and the guy doing it mostly just seemed uninterested in trying very hard. Maybe it's because I had to stop him twice from clipping my toe, but I could have done a better job on myself. The massage was nothing short of disappointing and the paint job was really lazy. If you have to paint all over my toe and go back with acetone and remove all around the nail, you did a pretty crappy job to begin with. I had a pretty standard experience from what other Yelpers are describing. I got pink and white solar nails with gel. It was about $60 for the set, which is pretty high for this area. The solar fill on my nails was much thicker than usual, I asked the guy doing my nails to thin it out a few times and he seemed not to understand what I was asking. The nails looked ok, but began lifting on the sides the next day. Definitely not worth the cash! It seemed fairly clean at the time, but they did reuse files on other customers. read more

I guess they saw the frustration on my face and the owner decided to take me. Anyway...I went in for a gel manure which cost $30 and left with a polish change and some lotion for the same price. The owner rushed through the job and did not complete the manicure (no cuticle oil, no soaking no nothing). Bottom line... I won't be back. I am so disappointed. I have tried this salon several times and have been let down each time, but this was by far the worst. Went in for just a regular manicure and all was well until it came time for the polish. I got the paraffin and noticed that after I washed my hands she never proceeded to clean off my nails again. I think between this and a bad chunky bottle of polish, there were chunks and bumps all in the polish job. It was all over my cuticle and while she tried to clean it up it still looked like a terrible polish job. SO bad that I ended up just taking it off when I got home. My manicurist was very sweet, but very bad at the polish job and thus left so much to be desired. I guess you get what you pay for! My experiences in the past were pleasant, enough, but I no longer intend to give them my ANY of my hard earned cash, and neither should you. If you value great service, you will no longer contribute to what this place is perpetuating. The owner is argumentative, condescending, and, passive aggressive, 3 things you should never be when working in customer service, especially the beauty field. I used to get a gel manicure every two weeks. This past week I noticed that my polish began to chip, a. which has never happened before and, b. should never happen with proper care. Keep in mind, as stated previously, I had been coming to Luxury, receiving the same services, and this never happened. Upon today's visit, I informed the young woman at the qfront of my dilemma. She was very polite and listened intently to my issue. She went back to speak with owner, and he subtly disregarded my presence. Each time I attempted to speak with him directly about the issue because she misinterpreted the details, he would cut his eyes at he and gesture for HER to continue talking. If anyone knows anything about customer, you know that that is absolutely disrespectful. I was being nothing but calm and respectful. Not an entitled bone in my body, simply wanted to issue resolved. Eventually, he spoke back to me and stated that if I had returned 2 days afterwards, that would have been fine. Understandable, however I did not appreciate the manner in which he stated it. I told the young woman that I would not be back and he said "byeeee" in a sarcastic "she'll be back tone". This bothered me for 2 reasons. 1. It's just rude, but 2. Because he said it like I don't spend $150+ in his shop every week. Simply put, "your money doesn't matter to me little black girl." Though I have not confirmed whether my race is a contributing factor to how I was regarded, I have never seen him treat his white, female customers this way. (Keep in mind, I have been coming here since 2014) Be sure to seek a second opinion, but I feel people shoukd know about stuff like this. Granted The purpose of having a business is to acquire currency, but it suoilmt feel that way. Just something for you to think about before you decide upon visiting. My technician was the best and very detail oriented. I was there in the middle of the day on a random Monday. I did not have an appointment. If I were going on a Friday or Saturday, I'm sure the staff would be under a time crunch and I'd definitely get an appointment.
