The staff is Great, Meme does my nails and she takes her time to make sure they look the way I want them. They greet you with a smile and they are very professional. My husband enjoys going there for his pedicure. The salon is very clean, and they have vibrating chairs when you are getting a pedicure, my back loves it. I would recommend this salon to anyone if you want customer care this is the salon for you. I can only speak of Meme, I love going there, Meme is so attentive to her customers. Evelyn B read more

My service was terrible, He was very rushed as soon as I sat down, He also did not take his time on my nail shape, I was charged a 15+ fee for gel when I never asked for gel and he never told me it was gel or that gel is a up charge before he even placed it, There was barely any communication, Luxury Nail Spa this was truly disappointing to me do better. read more

Vy did my nails today and I'm hooked! I'm new to the area so looking for a new nail place has been at the top of my list of things to do. This place fits everything in looking for. A neat clean work place. The tech (I did not get her name) that did my pedicure..AMAZING! No cuts, thorough, and my nails look like candy! And my fingernails...OMG VY! I asked for jade nails and that's exactly what I got. She IS my new nail tech! Her vibe was awesome and she was willing to try whatever idea I came up with. I love her already! If you're looking for somewhere to have your nails and toes done, I highly recommend...just don't book Vy up to the point I can't get an appointment! read more

Skye is a newer technician and she does excellent work. I tend to be very particular and enjoy proper shaping of the nails as well as the nail beds (I like them to look really natural, and not to thick around the nail bed; I like a smooth, natural looking transition from the cuticle area to the nail). She is talented, meticulous and does exceptionally neat and uniform work. She is skilled and attentive; she listens to understand what you want and delivers accordingly. She takes pride in the work she does and I have been really pleased with her. She is probably one of (if not the best) nail technicians I've ever worked with. read more

I love Luxury Nail Spa and have been going to them since they opened. Since COVID-19 I haven't been out to do my nails. My daughters bought me a gel manicure for Mother's Day 2022. I went and was greeted by the owners. Linda always has a smile. They had me wash my hands as soon as I got in, then I sat and picked out my nail color. I was seated at station #6 with Jenny. She was very sweet. She did a beautiful job. I came in with two breaks in my nails that she was able to cover flawlessly. Thank you Jenny! read more

Very nice atmosphere, everyone was sweet and helpful! This was our first time coming into this nail spa and it won't be our last! We were so surprised on how fast they finished our nails :) our nail techs were very nice and kept asking if we liked our nails or if we felt that they needed to fix anything on our nails! We truly recommend this nail spa:) read more

Brought my brand new, OPI polish to the salon...after 6 attempts of painting my toes with a professional look, I was told that they have no dryers. The owner guy said that they only like to use gel (most likely for the up charge). He then proceeded to tell me that since they have to dry on their own, and if I messed them up, he wouldn't keep fixing them. I explained to him that if he had a professional who could paint nails, they would've been done on the first try. I demanded that they remove the polish because Stevie Wonder would've done a better job. When I walked in I knew I wasn't going to be happy. Oh well, never again. read more

Now I always go here, I always have a excellent experience. But THIS TIME I'm pissed off. First of all, when you file my nails I shouldn't bleed! And then when I'm getting my nails painted she made me turn the LED light on and off MYSELF because as she said to me "I'm talking to Linda right now" when I say furious! I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I know a thing or two about professional, and SATMy nail paint looks terrible it has bumps and bubbles in it. And Linda started doing my nails then some other lady came and did them, and then Linda came back and then passed me on to someone else I just felt so uncomfortable. Okay I was dreading making this review because I always come to this location. Sadly my last two experiences have been pretty bad. I came in two weeks ago to get my nails done for my graduation. The work done on my nails was highly poor. The next day my gel polish was peeling off the sides of my nails. I went back this past Saturday to change the polish out. It's just Monday and the gel polish has lifted once again. I really like this place but I will not keep spending money here if the quality is not up to par read more

Was in Durham for a quick business trip. Decided to try this place out as it was near my hotel and based on yelp review. Great job. Manicure for $14; plenty of colors to choose from; place is clean; there is a large screen TV tuned into a gossip channel. The take appointments or walk-ins. Each station is for a particular employee, and they display their license and family photos. Very nice. They didn't point out the nail drying station and so I stayed at the station with the little fan to dry off my nails (this was late and there were no other customers), but I wish they would have told me - they shouldn't assume everyone is a local customer. read more

Owners were rude and yelling from their stations about prices to another customer. Their approach was not friendly at all. The quality of my personal manicure was horrible especially for the price. I would not go back or recommend! read more

I want to say I am very disturbed with the quality service I got from this place upon my first time ! It was definitely my first and last. I went and got my nails done 7/18 and overall the place is beautiful and I expected nothing but the best experience and that's not what I got. As I'm in there , I'm getting my feet done by one of the nail techs who had her daughter with her who wasn't being cooperative for her to do her work. She was a 4 yr old child which I understand but this is a place of business and I was not in there to be being bothered by a child while I'm being pampered for my special event! She couldn't control her...THEN I get my nails done which was decent enough I felt. My shape was off. A few days go by with this set and I've lost 3 nails from them breaking in half. I don't even do much for me to have broken them so I'm just like WTF at this point. I paid my good $110 for what I thought was a good service and I hate that I have wasted my money on a bad experience. I never give feed back bc it's rare to find a good nail tech and I understand everyone can't do nails specifically how you would like but for this place to be as pricey as they are, I would never.... read more

Very close to my neighborhood and that of my good gal pal, which makes this one of our popular choices for pedis. They have a small space to work with, so the draw-back is that there are only 5 or 6 chairs for pedicures and there's also a very small drying station. If we're going right after work, peak hours, we sometimes wind up waiting in order to get two chairs that are side-by-side. They do have an excellent choice of OPI and Essie colors and the times we've gone, we've been pleased with the staff. The last one we had done here, we wound up with what must have been a 10-minute long massage; our aestheticians got engaged in a convo with one another and just kept on. No complaints here! read more

I got a pedicure here and must say it was the most lackluster pedicure I've ever had. The place wasn't busy, so I can't blame it on that and the guy doing it mostly just seemed uninterested in trying very hard. Maybe it's because I had to stop him twice from clipping my toe, but I could have done a better job on myself. The massage was nothing short of disappointing and the paint job was really lazy. If you have to paint all over my toe and go back with acetone and remove all around the nail, you did a pretty crappy job to begin with. Super disappointed and amazed at how little people care about the job they do. read more

If I could give negative reviews I would. I they are more more interested in turning over more clients than LISTENING and giving mr what I ASKED for. Would not give my daughter a PEDICURE- just painted her nails, sloppily and acted like they were doing her a favor. Shortcuts galore- kept trying to convince me to airbrush instead of giving me a real french When the manicurist was cleaning his station he swept nail shavings all over my BLACK shirt. HORRIBLE. I will never, ever go there again. I actually asked him to stop working on my nails, paid up, and DROVE ACROSS TOWN to Lee Nails where I had them fix the abortion that was done to my nails. Horrible, jerky, and hardly spoke ANY english outside of telling me how much I to pay. I think that is a ruse- the pretending to not understand when they mess up. The only thing I got clearly was "pick a color" and "10 minutes" which turned into an HOUR AND A HALF with me leaving after 2 hours! read more

I like this place I really do but they prices be outrages. I get an basic pedicure for 35 and a overlay and it's 80 dollars when I could of got an full set for the same price. DO NOT COME HERE. At first they were a reasonable price but now they are all over the price even for a pedicure that's 35 and a fill in I'm still paying 80 to 90 dollars read more

I had a pretty standard experience from what other Yelpers are describing. I got pink and white solar nails with gel. It was about $60 for the set, which is pretty high for this area. The solar fill on my nails was much thicker than usual, I asked the guy doing my nails to thin it out a few times and he seemed not to understand what I was asking. The nails looked ok, but began lifting on the sides the next day. Definitely not worth the cash! It seemed fairly clean at the time, but they did reuse files on other customers. read more

I just left luxury nail 5 minutes ago and realized i had been overcharged for service. I came in at 4 pm and waited to be seen. I went from 1 tech to the next... Waiting to no avail. I guess they saw the frustration on my face and the owner decided to take me. Anyway...I went in for a gel manure which cost $30 and left with a polish change and some lotion for the same price. The owner rushed through the job and did not complete the manicure (no cuticle oil, no soaking no nothing). Bottom line... I won't be back. If you decide to go please be very vocal upfront about what is included in your service. All nail salons are not created equal. read more

I am so disappointed. I have tried this salon several times and have been let down each time, but this was by far the worst. Went in for just a regular manicure and all was well until it came time for the polish. I got the paraffin and noticed that after I washed my hands she never proceeded to clean off my nails again. I think between this and a bad chunky bottle of polish, there were chunks and bumps all in the polish job. It was all over my cuticle and while she tried to clean it up it still looked like a terrible polish job. SO bad that I ended up just taking it off when I got home. My manicurist was very sweet, but very bad at the polish job and thus left so much to be desired. I guess you get what you pay for! I'll pay a bit more across the street and get a better job done! read more

DO NOT GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR $$$ THEY DO NOT VALUE YOU. GO TO AVALON INSTEAD!!!!!! I had been coming here throughout my time in undergrad. My experiences in the past were pleasant, enough, but I no longer intend to give them my ANY of my hard earned cash, and neither should you. If you value great service, you will no longer contribute to what this place is perpetuating. The owner is argumentative, condescending, and, passive aggressive, 3 things you should never be when working in customer service, especially the beauty field. I used to get a gel manicure every two weeks. This past week I noticed that my polish began to chip, a. which has never happened before and, b. should never happen with proper care. Keep in mind, as stated previously, I had been coming to Luxury, receiving the same services, and this never happened. Upon today's visit, I informed the young woman at the qfront of my dilemma. She was very polite and listened intently to my issue. She went back to speak with owner, and he subtly disregarded my presence. Each time I attempted to speak with him directly about the issue because she misinterpreted the details, he would cut his eyes at he and gesture for HER to continue talking. If anyone knows anything about customer, you know that that is absolutely disrespectful. I was being nothing but calm and respectful. Not an entitled bone in my body, simply wanted to issue resolved. Eventually, he spoke back to me and stated that if I had returned 2 days afterwards, that would have been fine. Understandable, however I did not appreciate the manner in which he stated it. I told the young woman that I would not be back and he said "byeeee" in a sarcastic "she'll be back tone". This bothered me for 2 reasons. 1. It's just rude, but 2. Because he said it like I don't spend $150+ in his shop every week. Simply put, "your money doesn't matter to me little black girl." Though I have not confirmed whether my race is a contributing factor to how I was regarded, I have never seen him treat his white, female customers this way. (Keep in mind, I have been coming here since 2014) Be sure to seek a second opinion, but I feel people shoukd know about stuff like this. Granted The purpose of having a business is to acquire currency, but it suoilmt feel that way. Just something for you to think about before you decide upon visiting. It's not worth it and the experience certainly does not live up to the name. Choose Avalon instead, it's 2 miles away. read more
