This place has not figured out quality yet. They charge more than anywhere else, their prices do not include a drink, and the quality of the finished product did not last. I went to get a dip done and it only lasted 10 days before it began to chip. The person that was working on my nails must have been the manager because she kept having to get up during my nails and go handle complaints and work with other nail technicians. I specifically said I only had 1 hour and asked if I could get finished up in that time. 1:15 minutes later I still was not done, my nails were not filed the right way, and the person doing my nails knew it was not right and kept apologizing. Simply said, maybe they had an off day but I won't go back and try again just to find out that is the norm. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter and myself to get pedicures together. We were told to wait and we waited 15 minutes before being called back. I didn't know if they forgot about us because no one even acknowledged us. They have kids serving you your alcoholic beverages, they were anywhere from eight to ten years old. The guy that did my pedi didn't speak English at all and when I couldn't understand what he was saying he was clearly upset with me. He rushed through my pedicure and pretty much man handled me. It was not relaxing at all. I wasn't given the slippers everyone else got after you get a pedicure, instead the guy just put my sandals back on my feet. Then I went to the back room to get my lip waxed and I could tell the tissue that rolls over the chair had not been changed. I will not got back ever again. I really liked this salon when my mother and I came here last weekend. The lady who works the front desk was super friendly and cute. The entire place was very clean and the nail technicians my mother and I had were nice and worked efficiently. I got regular nail polish instead of shellac for the first time in years and it didn't chip for a week and a few days. The woman doing my nails was incredibly rough. She cut me twice with the file and once with her fingernail. She kept answering her cell phone. They placed me sitting at a station directly next to another individual. When that other individual asked them to move me in order to social distance they snapped at her and were rude. I got a dip manicure. On the shop price list it is listed at $50. I was charged $65. When asked about the price the lady snapped and walked away sending a man to check me out. I won't be back here. At the very beginning getting my acrylics taken off the nail tech nicked me with the drill, I thought whatever, we all make mistakes. Decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. While she was filing my nails, the edges of the file hadn't been seasoned properly and she cut under my nail, three different times. It was extremely painful, I was bleeding and she didn't take proper precautions such as disinfecting the tool she used, she just threw it back down to wherever she got it from. Fast forward about a day, my gel nails are already chipping. On top of all that, they were hammering a television stand into the wall, I already had a migraine starting and that set me over the edge. Obviously something wasn't done correctly and sanitation is frightening. If you value good customer service and sanitation, do NOT go here. read more

This was my 1st time at this salon and my last. A gentleman told ne to sit at #9....ok I went around the wall and saw #s above the chairs and sat down. The technician tried to put the liner for the water on under my legs and then pushed up the armrest wirh my arm still on it. Very rude! Asked what service I wanted and I told her I didnt know what they offered. The customer beside me gave me a menu of their services and I chose one. The technician then said what color polish do you want, I said do you have a chart of colors? She said she would just pick one and I said no so she then brought me a color chart. She did my nails then thru one hot towel on my leg it only covered one not both. She then left ne to do another customers nails. $445.00 and I did not leave a tip, which I have never ever done before. I always tip at least 20%. Here's why, first they had my reservation wrong and I should have followed my gut and canceled. I chose this place because it looked very nice and they serve alcohol. It's Mother's Day weekend and I scheduled deluxe mani/pedis for 5 plus 2 kid services. We showed up on time and we were asked to sit at the bar. We sat for 10 minutes no one asked us if we wanted a beverage nor were we told to select a nail color until after we were ushered to the pedicure chairs only to be asked to go back and select a color. We could have done this during the 10 minute wait while we were not offered drinks and basically ignored. We received our services but felt rushed. No one at this salon was warm or welcoming. They make you feel like a number because it's just a rotation of people to the employees. I am not picky or demanding and I know we are all doing our best. But I truly expected more for the prices and the ambiance but the experience was horrible and we will never be back. Poor customer service and the services were rushed and the polish bubbled. Additionally the technician kept asking me how I would pay and that it was going to cost me over $1000.00? I had already added up the service prices in my head so knew how much it would be. They also asked my family the same..."how you want to pay?", which is so rude when I explicitly asked when I booked the specific services and said I would be paying for the entire group. Came here to get a new set and I was moved to a different lady because the lady I had, someone came in for a pedi so I was pushed aside while they hurry and help the woman who came in after me. Unfortunately I was moved to a woman who took about an hour and a half with my nails. I almost fell asleep at her table. It was ridiculous. It seemed like she's never done nails before. I was so irritated and tired I was there for too long. Like I have nothin else to do. She was finally done with me and I went up to the unfriendly, unprofessional front desk girl who looked a mess and did not dress like she was at her place of work asked me if I liked them and I said "not really" and I let her know she took so long to do them. She decided to tell me "oh they just don't do long nails" UMMM OK..I showed the first girl I was put with the picture of what I wanted and how long I wanted them, so you put me with someone who doesn't do them!?! I then replied "so, you're tellin me I shouldn't even come back here if I want long nails?" No, that I should only ask for 2 certain people. Wtf you should let your customer know that BEFORE they are wantin long nails. Put them and KEEP them with the right person. They were $60 way overpriced for what I got! Train your people to be able to do it ALL. Also, so you won't have to move people arouThe front desk girl with the fro needs customer service training and everyone that works there needs to smile and stop lookin like they have been suckin on lemons all day! My daughter and I went in for manicures. I had SNS on my nails and wanted to try this place for they advertised they had SNS. The person checking us in explained that SNS was on order, and it hadn't arrived. So we decided to do Gel manicures instead. The service provided was good, although 3 nails chipped the next day. Kind of disappointing and a waist of money. 1.7.18 - I have been back a couple times more, and when I had the problem with chipping a second time, I called and they got me an appointment to fix it. Just wanted to update my experience here. As posted before it was not all that great but it got worse as my day went on that day after getting a pedicure I noticed a burning sensation on both of my ankles. I'm not sure if it was a chemical burn or a bad reaction to something they put on my skin. I have never experienced anything like this before but it was painful and as the days have gone by after receiving this pedicure I have too patches of extra dry skin on my ankles now. Lux NailBar used to be my go to salon when Kevin worked there he is absolutely incredible sadly he no longer works there and I haven't been able to figure out where he is working now, this salon has gone incredibly down hill sense he left. And I will not be retuning. I'm feeling really disappointed, I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for 12:00pm yesterday for me and my friend (she was getting gel nails and I asked for a full set and a pedicure over the phone) I walk in tell them what I wanted and then proceed to wait till 12:45 to sit down with a nail tech, the place now has quite the crowd of people waiting and I can tell everyone is rushing to finish fast. I sit down show him a picture of what I want and he says "your nails are short you can't do that", and tell him I'm fine with that I want dip (I had a grown out set of acrylics on) that way my nails can be longer to get the look I wanted. and he says "not today, next time you can do dip" I then said okay then I would like a full set so I can get what the picture looks like and he says "not today next time we can do full set" this was very clearly because of the line of people waiting but when a customer tells you what they want you can't tell them "not today" and refuse to give them what they want, not to mention I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for a full set I wasn't a walk-in they should have set aside time for a full set like I had asked over the phone. I'm not a confrontational person so I let him just give me a rebase on my nails, not receiving the look I wanted. And then they completely forgot I asked for a pedicure. I am updating my review because of my most recent visit here which has set me over the edge. Usually I make an appointment for when they open because of how busy they get but today I decided to take a chance and see if I could make a 3:45 appointment. Their newly hired receptionist said "yes we can get you in at 3:45." I had waited 10 minutes before asking the receptionist if she knew how much longer it should be before I could get seen, her response, "no, I don't know." A nail tech overheard the convo and she said she could be with me soon. I was told to sit at someone's station and they would be with me "in about 10 minutes." I said Im not going to wait any longer when my appointment was scheduled 15 minutes ago. The receptionist said " When we book appointments we are saying we can service you, we cannot guarantee you will be seen at that time." Well what the heck is the point in making an appointment if you cant see me at that time? I do realize things run over and waiting 5 to 10 minutes isn't horrible but asking me to wait 25 minutes is ridiculous. I do not recommend scheduling an appointment if you have a schedule you need to stay within. read more

We recently moved to Johnstown and I was in need of a pedicure. I walked in and the receptionist said it would be a 25 minute wait. I agreed and waited. Finally it was my turn and they tell me to go back to chair 9. The massage chairs are really weak. My four year old can rub my back better than that. Then the older gentleman came over to complete my pedicure. The pedicure took so long! The price sheet gives you an estimated time. I chose a deluxe pedicure, estimate 40 minutes. Well one massage cycle (30 minutes) in and this guy has barely touched cuticles on one foot. Another tech walks by and tells him in Vietnamese he should be further along. He tells her back in Vietnamese that it's because my feet are dirty. I'm not really sure how to take it. My feet dirty no, very dry yes. Was he slow because of my dry feet, probably not. As you can probably tell by now, I speak fluent Vietnamese so when you talk about me, I do know. Anyways the time continues to drag on and I had to relay to another tech to tell my tech to skip most of my deluxe procedure because he was moving too slow. He skips most but I still had to pay for a deluxe pedicure. One hour thirty minutes later, not including previous wait time, I got a shotty pedicure and was pretty upset the way he was talking about. Only reason for two stars is for the other techs and receptionist stopping to ask if I needed anything several times. read more

Went there right befor my daughters wedding and thought it would be fun. They didn't even offer us anything to drink and when we asked for a glass of wine they seemed to not understand us. My nail tech didn't listen to me was way to distracted by other customers walking in. Did the wrong thing and had to redo my nails and blamed it on me. Also I like small lines on my French tip and he did whatever he wanted to do. My nails hurt!!! I get my nails done all over the world because I travel for work! Never would recommend this place!! I just can't figure out why Salons refuse to perform full service manicures on little girls and do gel polish. This is the second salon I have asked for a manicure and the techs just bicker in vietnamese and then tell me she is fine if they just do the polish. Seriously it's identical to a situation at another salon I reviewed. I do her nails at home and while I'm no professional, I have been doing my own nails for 20 years and watch a lot of tutorials to try to match professional results. My daughter has very short nail beds and long cuticles that grow far up. She always ends up needing them soaked or cuticle remover before pushing them back to make sure the polish sticks. Otherwise if you don't soak and push them back her polish is lifting the next day. Well guess what happened? I paid $20 bucks for gel polish that lifted within a day or so. I had also wanted to get a full set but because they were trying to rush us out I left when they tried to seat me. They had already basically finished with my daughter when they came for me and the salon was super full so I just paid and left after her polish. read more

I went here on the recommendation of a new coworker. I had complained to her about how when I have gels and dips done they chip off my nails in just a few days. She gets shellac on her fingernails and told me she goes to a place called Nail Bar, described the location, and said they are really good. I originally came here in desperation because weeks prior I treated myself on my birthday to a pedicure at a different salon to clean up my ingrown toenails and ended up with a nasty painful infection just a few weeks later. I went to LUX Nail Bar and during my pedicure she managed to carefully snip off a tiny piece of toenail with minimal pain in proportion to how insanely tender my toe was. I immediately felt relief! The toe was still sore because the infection needed time to go down, but it was immediately no longer awful and unbearable like before. The lady said the previous tech had failed to cut all the way when removing the piece of my ingrown toenail which is apparently what they are supposed to do. This ended up leaving a jagged piece that dug in and hurt. I had remembered that the tech at the previous salon seemed like she didn't know what she was doing and seemed to be going a little crazy ripping out pieces of nail and skin. After my pedicure at NailBar my toe felt mostly healed in just a day or two. I decided to get nail dips on an impulse when I had my pedicure. I had gotten in the habit of avoiding having my hands done at salons because I get aggravated about things chipping off and arguing with the staff about the shapes. I told them how gels and dips often come off and how ill ask for square nails and they will make some of the nails too skinny. The lady told me that they do the dip differently from other salons where it lasts longer and that she would guarantee my nails that if the dip comes off before ten days they will repair it at no charge. She also said she would try to make them square like I wanted. I was happy because she filed my nails nice shapes and we are on day six and they seem like they are going to last a long time! I had a not so great experience. Nail tech was very rough w/clipping, filing and basically had no personality. He didn't ask me if I'd like something to drink - he really didn't say anything at all. When I got home I experienced pain on my right thumb cuticle from his over zealous clipping. He actually cut me! I won't be returning... first time - last time. Went in today with my daughter in law. Both of us wanted a rebase. Worst experience ever, one of us got the color we wanted the other was told they could not do color over white tips. When finished my lines were not straight and I had white dried powder all over my hands. I had to take it off myself. I was told to come back tomorrow and they would fix it, no need to go back if its not done correct the first time. We will NEVER go back. I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years and they have never looked this bad. I will go back tomorrow but it wont be here. read more

I gave the salon two stars because the environment was very nice. The pedicure was okay, but they have count down timers at every foot spa station. Most salons are aware of the length of time spent on each customer. Rigidly timing the services was a bit much IMO. Next came the acrylic rebase and colored tips. This part was not timed. The pink rebase looks nice but the tips application is very sloppy. The tips are filed round, I wanted wanted squared nails with rounded edges. My nails are shorter than I like. I think he was trying to file off the mistakes. The cost including the 15% discount was almost $20 more than where I usually go for my nails. I will wait a couple of weeks for them to grow and then go have them redone. read more

This is a scary place. Went for pedicure and the guy(I think owner) was telling me that he's better than a podiatrist and then proceeds to basically do surgery on my toe! I almost jumped out of the chair and ran out! Super dangerous and he would to stop talking to me about how great he was. NEVER going back here. read more

A friend & I were so excited to try out this nail spa, and have a drink. We walked in, and they literally had 3 customers in there. Not busy at all!! They were not friendly, and have zero customer service skills. We were never asked if we wanted a drink. Which I thought was the perk of this nail salon? My friend even asked for a drink menu, and wasn't asked if she wanted anything until we were almost done. So she obviously declined one at that point. We obviously went in to get pedicures together, and they didn't start her until I was almost finished. But they had plenty of employees that could have started it! Our water wasn't hot, and they gave us maybe an inch of it to sit in while waiting our turn. The guy doing mine literally had 2 sets of gloves on, and went to the back and grabbed kitchen gloves. Literally gloves you would wash your dishes with! Made me so uncomfortable. Like are my feet that gross? Then to top it off as he was washing my legs off, I told him the water was too hot (burning hot), and he said "quickly!" And just kept going. It was laughable really! The whole experience! We then got our tab for our pedicures, and they were $65! I've never ever spent that for a pedicure. Ridiculous! I will absolutely never go back! What a waste of space. That place could be really cool with the right people. Had I checked Yelp reviews prior, I wouldn't have went at all. Yikes! Do NOT recommend! I wouldn't even give it 1 star. read more

Went on a Saturday , gel manicure started pealing that Tuesday. Went on that Thursday to fix the problem .. started peeling Friday morning. Went back Saturday with different technician and gel color was wrinkled. Started peeling Tuesday and today is Thursday and the color is easily coming off . So in total in 12 days went 3 times to fix . Never has this happen usually last for 3 -4 weeks in other places . And I usually pay less as well . read more

Was in Loveland to shop and needed an eyebrow waxing. Was skeptical at first but I came out so happy with my eyebrows! The woman that did the waxing did a great job and took her time and was precise. My eyebrows are the nicest and most even they have ever looked. The price was also very affordable, only $12 for a wax. I would definitely come back here for a wax and to get my nails done sometime, the inside looked like a very nice nail place, I was impressed and definitely want to come back sometime soon. read more

I give this place 2 stars. Nice environment but 1 day after my gel manicure, 2 of my nails chipped already. No manual work was being done when they were chipped. I went in to get it fixed and let's just say the trip was less than enjoyable. One of them tried to put a fit where it chipped and after curing the polish, you could totally tell and dot was placed there. I asked for him to make it less noticeable and then he started to complain how he has the re-do the whole nail. After he took the polish off I waited about 20-30 minutes for someone to fix my nail, while the guy who took it off was just walking around aimlessly. Now, the next day, 3 of my nails are chipped including the one they tried to fix. I'm very frustrated and disappointed with the out come. read more

I would like to say I left that salon with the most beautiful full set I have ever had, thank you for that. Besides the full set, my complaint list is longer than my compliment list. My mom, sister, and I walked in and we signed in for the appointment we had me five hours prior. We came in 10 minutes early and we had to wait an hour after our appointment to be seen. I do commend them for seeing us even though they were about to close. My appointment was for a manicure and pedicure and today I left without my greatly needed pedicure. Another complaint I must make is that the whole hour I was waiting, I was not asked if I would like a complimentary water like mentioned on the website. Nor was I offered a lemonade or tea. I do understand their liquor license was revoked but, why do away with these other beverages? I even saw them in the fridge. The technicians know how to work but, why market yourself as a place that is made for proper customer service when you can not deliver it? This was a horrible experience!! My friend and I scheduled an appointment several days prior and when we arrived the owner seemed surprised that there was a reservation. No one was available and we sat and waited for 30 minutes. When we tried to ask questions and get help with our selection's the owner was very rude and I offered no assistance. We asked to be seated next to each other and the owner seemed irritated by this but said we could sit next to each other while we get our nails done. They started with my friend and when it was my turn they move me to another table. There where 2 other girls in this salon sitting at a table together getting their nails done but that wasn't an option for us. Don't have your salon set up for 2 people to sit at the same table if you're going to be nasty about it. When it was time for us to get our pedicures they rushed through the entire process because it was time for them to close, even though it wasn't our fault the appointment ran over and you took the reservation. The massage chairs didn't work. I was super unhappy with my nails but terrified to say anything because of how unpleasant our interaction with the owner was. We both felt like an inconvenience the entire time. This is not a comfortable or welcoming place. read more
