Bethany took the time to actually look at my face before she got to work- so many professionals don't do that! At no point did I feel like she was rushing and conversation was easy. I am pleased with my brow shaping - which included brow fill in and concealed. I am *very* pleased she reminded me she has a Yelp check-in special. Usually I leave the salon with beet-red eyebrows (sensitive, white skin) feeling like I was just one in a long line of customers. Bethany's space is inside the Phenix Salon Suites, and though she's near the back she's easy to find. (If you haven't been to one, each "studio/office" is it's own private business, with many different salon type services offered throughout the building). Bethany's space is very inviting, and if her door is shut due to her being with someone, there is a nice bench nearby for waiting. I never have to wait too long if I have to wait at all! Her space is well decorated and she is always prepared and ready. I see Bethany about once a month (every 4-5 weeks) and always, ALWAYS leave happy. Unfortunately, I have to give a bad review for this company. I was going to this location for about…read morea year and loved my aesthetician and was using her over and over again. In December 2023 I purchased packages because I was going so often to get waxed it sounded like a great deal pay for your waxes ahead of time and just get waxed for the next 12 months with having to pay every time. It was great until my aesthetician was let go in the month of June 2024 and she opened her own shop so of course I followed. I called EWC to request a refund and was unaware of the 30-day package purchase policy and now I can't get refunded for the remaining packages it can only be used as store credit now. I am no longer going back to EWC for product or waxing and now this money is just sitting at this company not being used. I understand policies are implemented for a reason but when I have no control over my aesthetician get fired and not wanting to go to some random person to wax my lady bits the company should respect that and refund the money and not try to keep the money a make me use them or their products.

I'd been a customer for about 5 years with multiple nail technicians because of new techs either…read morelearning and perfecting their craft because it was a new up and running business or because the tech left the salon, there was never a nail tech that I bad mouthed or talked disrespectful too or had an issue with. I'm a firm believer in treat people how you expect to be treated. However, what I experience and saw happening at the salon during my time there doesn't coincide with that. First, I'd like to say that my experience with the techs had been positive and I my issue was never with any of the techs providing me with a service. But because Venus wanted to make me out to be the problem and has made it a point to bad mouth me to anyone who will listen I'm going to tell my side. What I did have an issue with is not the nail tech I had for over 3 years had moved. This last year I've gone through 4-5 nail techs because they left the salon but the last two techs Breanna and Brandy were assigned to me. Both were great! However, I started having nails crack/break this year after Breanna started caring for my nails and so I was switched to Brandy to see if she might be able to figure out the issue. For a bit things seemed to get better but then my last appointment I had a nail crack not even 24 hours after my appointment. So, I decided it was time to reach out to the owner Venus because of my frustration. I was polite and didn't blame anyone for the issue. I just wanted my nails fixed since I'd paid for them. I requested that she take a look at my nails to see of we might figure out a resolution to what was going on. Instead what I received was a rude, condescending, nasty, dismissive, disrespectful and negative. Eventually I was told someone would contact me on Monday and no one connected with me until Tuesday. I finally got in to get the nails fixed and it was an awkward unsettling feeling there in the salon. I left and then shortly after I received a text and email stating my next appointment has been cancelled and that I was no longer welcomed in the salon. So, I know that I was talked about behind my back because of how I was treated that day. This is another one of those things that I've witnessed the owner do when someone doesn't agree with her. She'll become hypocritical, judgmental, and backstabbing with her past and present employees and clients. And speaks out on matters that have nothing to do with her or services that are provided at the salon. Venus tries to portray herself as this positive peace loving individual but presents the exact opposite with her statements and behavior towards past, present and current employees, clients and family.
