My first visit, I went for a more natural look (see photo with nude nails and silver flower design). I had them for about 2 weeks and one of my nail's gel builder did lift by the end of the second week (not pictured). Dani definitely took time at my next appointment to consider why that nail lifted and made some adjustments in how she applied her gel builder. The nails with the black stethoscope in the background was taken a day after my second appointment. I got SOOO many compliments on my nail design and, best of all, no lifting or skin damage!! The pictures of my nails against a white door is the retention after 2-2.5 weeks. Nails feel really strong and not a single nail has lifting. If you're willing to spend the money on a natural nail expert, she's the gal for you. Very accommodating and makes you feel so comfortable and heard!

I called after realizing I wanted to add a pedicure. They asked me to come in early at 10am and I agreed. I got my pedicure done and issues didn't start until the nail tech couldn't paint a tiny red heart on my big toe after 3 attempts . I said, no worries, I'll go without. I was ok with just the plain polish on just my toes. I got finished at 11:18am and noticed Tommy was having someone else sit in his chair. Confused I spoke up and showed my confirmation. She said oh must've been some mix up or confusion. After 15 minutes of waiting she offered me the man that couldn't paint a heart of my feet to then do my nails, I quickly said no, he can't do the style I want. She said don't worry, I will step in when it's time. Because it was getting late, I agreed. After about 6 minutes I said, you are aware I'm getting gel extensions right? The lady then informed me didn't know how. So I had to sit about 15 minutes. A nice older lady tried to help but she struggled. I have large bubbles under majority of my nails and they're sore. Because of this, the polish is blotchy. The lady who was rude from the beginning stepped in when it was time for the design and she couldn't do a simple heart either. So I said never mind, it's ok. I'll go without. I was then told I was being difficult which confused me because I'm a paying customer. I asked for her to do one final wipe down on my nails before a lot of lent from their towels was stuck to it. She quickly said no, you get what you asked for. I said hey, I love this place, I'm not trying to be rude. I just want them wiped down. So she finished up. Before I left I turned around and said. All of this could've been avoided if Tommy was doing my nails like I requested online. Tommy then waved at me and I left. I hate this because he really is the best. Whoever the young lady is running the schedule is quite rude. I don't know if I'm going to return.

The only thing I didn't care for was the seating. Salons are starting to go the "waiting room" route with seating for pedis. While I think it's cute I personally struggle with finding a comfy position that's relaxing and allows the tech to do their job. Music played was enjoyable and a solid mix.

They never did the pink and they didn't know how to do the flower..another employee came and redid them for me and it still wasn't like the picture, but they still look nice. Next, I had my nails done and it was rushed. A few nails are crooked and I mentioned that before acrylic was applied and I was told it would be fixed. I then asked if they could do the design and was told yes but when it came down to my nails I was told no because they didn't have time. There's air bubbles and thick layers of "goop/glue" on my nails so they don't look very clean. If they weren't so in a rush then I don't doubt my nails would look very polished. They're still cute, that's just my only complains. They were very kind and sweet to me but my mother didn't receive the same service. Her nails were also rushed and the lady who did them cut her skin like around her cuticles and under her nails and then the gel nail polish she did was goopy and just put on. Some sides were flatter than others and some nails had see through spots of her real nail bed because the gel wasn't distributed properly. My mother had kindly said something and the lady kept telling her to "wash her hands" and that's what she did. At the end of the service my moms finger was bleeding from being cut and she asked the guy who did my nails If she could have a refund and he told her he'll have to ask the lady who did her nails. He asked the lady and she came up to my mom and started SCREAMING at her for asking for it. She ended up getting her refund but terrible customer service. I also don't know why they take appointments if you're not going to be priority. They would often time stop doing my nails to go help a customer in the MIDDLE of MY appointment that we booked. Would I recommend service? No. While SOME are nice only ONE guy is skilled and that's the one who did my nails.

When I first started coming to Polished by Pria I was a little leery but I have been coming for over a year now and get compliments EVERYtime people see my nails. She is one of the only nail techs in the city who knows how to successfully use structured gel. Structured gel is a newer gel polish which is vegan (for all the vegan product lovers out there), lasts a minimum of 3 weeks, plus is a lot stronger and healthier for your nails. I have always loved gel polish but when I finally tried structured gel I was hooked! Not only does it last for weeks (no chipping) but it also gives the acrylic strength without being thick. If you want a luxurious nail spa experience come here you will not be disappointed.

Jade did a fantastic job…read moreof listening to my color requests and providing me with a great selection despite my color requests being so vastly different (pink or dark maroon or black). I ended up going with Mud Oak which was a stunning dark brown/purple that I kept getting compliments on. Jade did a great job of letting me know what to expect each step of the way. She made sure I was happy with the length and color too and gave me the option to change anything I was not happy with. Very relaxing atmosphere, not too loud but there was good music playing. I liked that there was an option that asked you if you wanted a quiet non-talking appointment. It is nice to have a go to place to get my nails done for special occasions! I think I'll stick with regular Gel going forward since it was a bit harder to type with the Gel X extensions, but Gel X is great for when one of your nails breaks and is far shorter than the rest.
